Cord Reel Better Quality Than Most Others
Cord reel works as advertised. Mounting brackets are useful and additional ones can be purchased. Haven't used it much, so it is difficult to provide additional information at this time.

Good Storage Tool
This is a necessity for the 12 gague ext. cord.
You will need to secure the reel (for ease of use).
For mobility I used a C clamp onto a 1x12 board and moved it closer to the job.

Pro-Reel Cord Carrier
Unfortunately the unit legs were broken when it arrived. it seems to be build poorly and the crank does not move freely. I would not recommend this product.

Sturdy and Steady
The Pro-Reel Cord Carriers (I bought two) are very steady on the ground. They don't slip or tip over and the cords wind up easily. I use one for a heavy 100-foot cord and the other for a medium weight 100-foot cord. The carriers work well for both. They are also well built-sturdy. They make yard or snow removal work much easier and less time consuming.

would only use with a 50ft cord
perhaps this product was only meant to be a 'carrier', which is why it tangles so easily. in addition, unless it is secured, you need to keep your foot on it or the cord will not come out at all. i put a 100ft cord on it, but would recommend up to only 50ft given the tangling issues i have faced.

Works Like a Dream
This is my second purchase of this cord reel carrier - I purchased the first one about two years ago and am very happy with it. I have a 50 foot 14 gauge power cord that I use for my electric snowblower and lawn mower. This cord reel carrier is sturdy enough to carry the weight of this power cord. I bought a second carrier for a lighter gauge power cord that I use for my hedge and weed trimmers. I highly recommend this product.
Solid product. I consider it excellent for storing a 100' cord, especially 12g. Comes with 2 mounting brackets. Two more can be purchased for $5, but the cost of the item, 4 should be included, or the price should be raised nominally,n not requring an extrapurchase from the manufacturer.
This reel is rugged and works very well. It is heavy enough that you can set it down near your work area and pull cord without needing someone to hold the reel. The wall mounts are great for in the garage. The only possible improvement would be sliding contacts so that you can reel out more cord without unpluging.

Excellent cord reel, good price
All of the cord reels that are carried by major chain stores are poor quality and overpriced. I've owned 2 previously, and both broke within 1 year of use, and neither was well made or easy to use. This one seems to be made of a good-quality plastic, with a nice wide reel, a sturdy handle that actually works, and a carrying handle that is actually useful. Only time will tell if it will stand up to real-world use, but things look promising. Recommended.

Works, but poorly designed and tested
This product works well, but it could be so much better. It's as if it was never tested during the design process. Here are the many problems:
- Handle tends to fold on itself rather than stay in the 90 degree postion.
- Handle is so close to the ground, or the wall (if mounting on a wall), that you will scrape your knuckles when winding unless you are careful and hold the handle with your finger ends(stupid, stupid, stupid design).
- They supply two mounting brackets so that you can mount it to a wall or other place. But, it really must have four brackets for smooth operation. If mounted on a wall, the entire reel tends to come out of the brackets, especially when you have most of the cord rolled out. Very, very annoying. This could have been easily solved by making the channels on the brackets a little longer. Like I said, stupid design. You can buy extra mounting brackets for $5.00 by mail.
- The carrying handle on the top of the reel is hollow, so two very thin plastic edges cut into your fingers making it very uncomfortable to carry when you have 100 feet of heavy 12 guage cord. This is also really dumb and could have been easily avoided in the design.
- If you want to use it on the floor, you really should mount it to a board not only because of the above mentioned knuckle scraping, but because it will assist in holding the reel in place. Again, could have been solved easily in the design.
I still give 3 stars because it works and most of the problems can be solved if you are willing to work with it.

Fast cord takeup but some reservations
The 7000WR does a fairly good job at storing long extension cords - it sure beats wrapping it around your arm then struggling to untangle the resulting mess!
The handle tucks into the unit, keeping it out of the way when not in use. However, the locking mechanism is so tight that I find it difficult to open the handle. Based on my experience, I think a smaller or weaker person would have a really hard time with it.
Once I got the hang of feeding the cord onto the reel, it's worked pretty well. Stand on the base with one foot, feed the cord with one hand and turn the crank with the other and in 30 seconds, your cord is wound up.
Overall I like the device. It's better than any other cord reel system I've used, though it's not perfect.
Unfortunately I am gong to have to return both of the cord carriers. The men I gave them to felt they were too large to store. I thought it was a good idea, but the actual users of the product did not.
How do I go about returning them?

more trouble than it's worth
I spent more time untangling my 100' extension cord from this reel than I've ever spent untangling my cord w/o it. By the time I finally got the cord untangled, the reel had cracked. It wasn't worth the hassle.
Nice reel. I was able to get 100' of 12/3 on it without a problem. The winding handle does want to fold while your winding, but it's not a problem if you pay attention to what you're doing. I'm going to order some more.

Great product but not idea one
It is very great product but the design is not that perfect.
When you use it(pull out or real back), the "head" of cord is twisting. It won't hurt your cord, only if you take it out from outlet.
If there are the product like this one
http://www.amazon.com/Portacable-Extension-Cord-Reel-Sockets/dp/B000E4ADUY
but you can use your own cord, it would be great.

Better than expected
This is a very well designed product. 1.) The reel comes with two "hooks", that when screwed to a wall, allow you to easily and securely hang the reel on the wall with the crank facing in either direction. Additional hook sets may be ordered. 2.) The crank handle folds into the crank arm, reducing storage space. 3.) A clever design allows access to the "inside" end of the cord. Five stars!

Great for mic cables
I purchased these to reel up 25ft long pro mic cables with XLR connectors. They can hold 10 of theses cables securely and allow reeling them up so you reduce the risk of breaking internal wires by improper or too-tight wrapping. I only wish they were bigger! (they're about the size of a 12-pack of soda). Very good deal.

Nicer Than Expected
This is a really nice setup for the price. I ordered 2 and went back and ordered 4 more because I liked them so much. I have all of my air hoses and drop cords neatly stowed on my wall and the included hangers allow you to remove the whole unit to take to the job site. It makes cord / hose management easy and it looks really nice in the shop. I highly recommend this cord carrier and I may order a few more!
This little cord reel works much better for me than the thing I used for many years. Seems to be well made and easy to carry around. I'm very pleased with the reel.
This is heavy duty and greta for the price. Very happy with the purchase of the reel.
Rolls up 100' 12 AWG cord with no problem. I didn't mount it to the wall.

Handle a problem.
I use this for a 100 foot extension cord and it holds the cord well. Worst problem is the collapsable handle is always folding down when you try to reel the cord in.

Ext Cord Winding Spool
Product well made and handles 100' cord with ease. When wall mounting or when under stress from cord weight load, folding crank handle does not easily remain in lock open position while cranking. I solved problem by gluing wooden dowel in the hollow of the folding handle receiver leaving the handle in a permanent ready to use position.
Good overall construction. Readily reels a power cord. It is solidly built for its price and material (plastic). Looking to get your cords organized? This will work under light conditions around the house.

pro-reel carrier
I bought this product for my husband because he has a 16-3 100ft. cord and this was the only product that would accommadate 100ft. My husband was very impressed with the quality and the ease of use and has installed it in his shed. The ease in finding the product was very good and the cost was terrific. It serves the purpose perfectly because very few options were available for that size extension cord. The busy bee co that makes the extension cord didn't even have a reel for that purpose in 100ft.

One of the best reel systems out there!!
Finally a durable piece of gear that lives up to its billing. A great stowage system for electrical cords over 100 feet. Mountable or works well on the road. Excellent system!!!
it was my mistake. I ordered 5 of these thinking that the cord came with it. I got cords for them and they seem to work ok. Just make sure to leave a good leader for the plug to the wall side when you roll your cord.

works, but one big issue...
This works as advertised - solidly built. But there is one major problem - when you wind it both ends of the cable needs to be untethered. I woudl like to mount this a little far away from the power socket, so I want the power plug to be attached to the power socket. But, this doesn't allow it. It needs both end to be free - which is a bummer..
