Product Specifications
Electrifying performers and pure-pop songwriters of the highest order, Toronto's Barenaked Ladies have emerged over a decade as that strangest of beasts. They'll never land a dishy cover story in Mojo Magazine, but as they reflect on those ribald years between 1991 and 2001, the five can allow themselves wry smiles, knowing that sometimes, just sometimes, the cream rises to the top. In addition to familiar radio staples such as "Pinch Me," "The Old Apartment," "Jane," "Alternative Girlfriend," and the ubiquitous "One Week," there's a trump card on All Their Greatest Hits that will prove irresistible to completists: the Ladies' buttery, acoustic version of Bruce Cockburn's "Lovers in a Dangerous Time." Recorded eons ago for a Cockburn tribute disc that almost immediately went out of print, the song has until now been a rare and highly coveted collector's item. Two news songs--"Thanks That Was Fun" and "It's Only Me (The Wizard of Magicland)"--were recorded specifically for this collection, while two others ("Brian Wilson" and "What a Good Boy") are captured live. But what really brings this album home is, ironically, "If I Had $1,000,000." One of their very first hits cut as the Ladies were learning to dovetail their so-called "acoustic hip-hop" into slicker pop sensibilities, "$1,000,000"--a simple knock-kneed love song with harmonies so tight they're practically braided--is a snapshot of a band with all the pieces in place just as the planets were about to align. --Kim Hughes

If you not a real big BNL fan than this is the album to pick up. If you are a big BNL fan than you already have all these songs. These were their most famous tunes. But if you own any of their stuff (if not you should really get some) you know how great and witty all the songs are.
These guys are pretty good musicians, the drummer stands out on several songs. Mostly pretty good songs, with some filler. I've listened to it over a dozen times, and I'm not tired of it, which is pretty high praise.

All the Greatest Hits on 1 CD
What is there to say about BNL? They Rock and those who are fans of theirs knows it. This CD is great if you just want all their very popular songs on one disc. It is perfect!
This CD rocks, well worth the price. The Bare Naked Ladies fan will enjoy this CD. Shipping with Amazon was easy and quick, got CD in about 4 days with no damage. Will order from Amazon again.
A happy collection for those who like the Barenaked ladies, but don't love them. All the favourite and familiar crowdpleasers are here. This is a great value.
We love all the Barenaked Ladies songs! This is a repurchase of the disc after we lost the first one and couldn't live without it.

Musical SUNSHINE Baby!!
Okay, so, if we were in a western, I wouldn't exactly be quick on the draw, but personally, I like getting to things in my own sweet time.
Six years (?) after the fact, the SpiritWorld is graced with this FANTASTIC cd-of 19 tracks, thank you very much-GET IT NOW!!
I was only familiar with the high inducing 'Falling For The First Time' track that's on the Malcolm in the Middle soundtrack, and only vaguely familiar with a few of the others, so I come to this as a newbie and I LOVE IT!!
Their quirky loquacious lyrics are funny, smart, smiley, honest and paranoid, the music is played with heart, it's beautiful and even the slower tracks you can snap to. A couple of the tracks are live versions which makes a nice change to the polished studio feel and it's sweet because you can hear the fans singing along in the background.
I can honestly say there's not a Homer's favorite brand of beer track on here; they're all FABOO, and some that are the faboo-est include the aforementioned Falling..., If I Had $1000000 and the spectacular Pinch Me.
I'd like to buy a doll house, use a shrinkomatic on these guys and have them play for me every time I opened the door. Or we could all just live together. I am so getting their entire back catalog and all their new and future ones, which, considering I'm more of a soundtracks girl, is saying a lot.
Lyrics aren't included in the booklet, but you do get a funny little story behind each song, and besides, they sing clearly enough, and you won't be able to stop playing it either, so you'll pick up on the words.
Bottom line: I HIGHLY recommend this, especially if you have a red cadillac and are going for a road-trip across America. Even just in your head. It's like pure musical sunshine.

A great album filled with hits at every turn!
I purchased this album after hearing only "One Week" and "If I had 1000000 dollars" from the radio. The two give you a taste of the wacky and zany streak that touches several of their songs, including the irreverant "Be My Yoko Ono." But they show a softer and more reflective side with tracks like "Call and Answer" as well. The variety of tracks is impresive.
As a rule, "best of" compilations tend to be littered with bad songs, but BNL really nailed it with this fantastic collection of songs. If you've heard and enjoyed any of their music, you owe it to yourself to check this one out!
There is some good with bad along with this review. I felt previous reviews had recommended highly, but it did not live up to expectations. Having written that - there were some good tracks.

It's Barenaked Ladies, how could you go wrong!
I am a fan of the BNL, and this CD did not disappoint.
BNL is a fantastic band. You would be cheating yourself if you did not listen to the albums these guys put out. High-quality and consistent, I can always count on them to deliver. This album is typical of that style. One of the other reviewers reminded everyone not to try to rank them with the Beatles. I can tell you these guys rank well with the Beatles at this point. You can bring your kids to one of their concerts without worry, too. Not too shabby!

Here's an exception...
In the past I've said that compilations are, as a rule, pure evil. I am willing to backtrack on those sentiments in the case of this disc, however. It's simply a great collection of songs from a great band. One can't really complain much. With the Barenaked Ladies, this should only be a jumping-off point, since they have so much great material beyond what's included here. If you're new to them, this is a great place to start.
I bought this CD prior to seeing the BNL's in concert. It has all the best songs from all their albums and it is a great mix for first time listeners. It has sold me to buy other albums by them.

All Barenaked Fans Should Get This CD
I love this CD because it has most of my favorite BNL songs as well as some others that I like. I own everyone of their CDs, but there are songs on them that I just don't like to listen to. I like every song on this CD and I never have to skip around. It's great to listen to, and it's a nice addition to any BNL collection. I reccomend this CD to anyone who loves BNL, even if you already have all the CDs, and to anyone who wants to get a taste of this great band. If you don't like what you hear on this CD, try listening to one of the other albums (I love their X-mas CD). Don't be turned of from this band by reviews saying that the CD is terrible. Their an awesome band.

So great it was stolen!
This one was in a favorite in my collection until it turned up missing last year. I believe it was lifted from my house by someone who visited and was also a fan of the Ladies!
That said, I have just ordered another copy to replace it and once it arrives will rip it onto my computer and hide the original away, perhaps under lock and key:)
I have really liked the Barenaked Ladies for years and this is a great addition to any Barenaked collection.

A fun CD to listen to
I don't know much about BNL and picked up this disc after hearing a couple of songs on the radio I liked. I love their sly sense of humor such as on "If I Had a Million Dollars" or "Yoko Ono" and when bands use humor often times that's all they have going for them, but when I listened to this collection I was blown away at what talented musicians and song writers these guys are. One line of a song can make you laugh and the next can hit you in the gut with honesty. I'm also impressed with the varying styles. They can crank up the guitars or turn them off and go acoustic and never miss a step. I'm sorry now I ignored them all these years. This is an excellent collection of songs. Be careful when listening to this at work through headphones because you can't help singing along.

Thinking man's pop!
I arrived late to the BNL party, but am thrilled that I came. These seem like guys that I'd enjoy hanging out with! The tunes are good, the lyrics are funny and make sense, and the music makes me feel like they intended to include their audience in the party.
