Not as Advertised
The picture CLEARLY shows a snagless cable, which this is most definitely not. Completely false advertising.
Pros: It's 10' long. It has RJ45 connectors at each end. It works. It's cheap.
Cons: It doesn't look like the picture.
Why you should buy an item that doesn't look like the picture: see "Pros".
3/2/10 UPDATE: These things are so cheap I ordered two more, bundled with another purchase so that I could get the free shipping. If you don't mind bulk cables these are perfect.

deceptive picture
The picture shows molded connectors, but the actual cable has hand crimped connectors that are much less reliable. Since Amazon ships and sells this product, they should take responsibility for changing the picture to match the item.

Just What I Needed
As I don't have a wireless router, I needed more cords to set up not only my internet for PC but for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii. Works very well and I didn't have to pay ridiculous store prices.
The picture shows a snagless cable with molded strain relief, product as delivered to me was not snagless and did not have strain relief. I am returning it.

I'm pretty sure didn't work
I was setting up a wired home network, and it wasn't working. I replaced this one with a 3 foot belkin cable (the blue one), and the network worked fine after that.

Excellent alternative to WiFi
Simply got tired of all the WiFi disconnects and problems. Instead of drilling holes into my walls to put CAT5 cabling I decided to try these babies. Work great! I didn't give them 5 stars because they each take up one wall outlet and I don't have that many in my old home.

this Belkin Cat 5 cable . . . not as advertised
Belkin is a well-known manufacturer of electronics and telecom equipment. They fabricate many different kinds of telecom cables, including Category 5. The Cat 5 cord pictured is a low profile, where the insulated connection between the cable and the modular pins, provides protection against damage. Unfortunately like many others, the cord I received does not have factory terminated pins. Substituting a cheaper, lower quality item is misrepresentation at best, and fraudulent at worst.
For Cat 5 cables, improper termination is one of the most common reasons for reduced transmission rates, or cable failure. Cables are supposed to be tested for compliance with industry standards, before being sold. On average, a non-insulated connection is more likely to fail, because the cable can more easily be bent or twisted.
I bought a factory terminated cord on eBay, made in China, for three dollars. The packaging states that the cord had been `Verified to ETA/TIA 568' standards. Unlike the Belkin cord, which had no statement about testing. I paid half as much and got a better quality item, so when I need another cable, I won't be buying this one again.
Seems like misrepresentation is going on here. The incorrect image should be pulled, or replaced with an accurate one. It's not worth my time to return the Belkin cable. The cord works, but I didn't get what I expected, and I would be wary about purchasing any other cords made by Belkin.
The cable I purchased is not the one pictured, and I can tell you why. It
is a 'bulk' style cable made by Belkin (I checked the UPC registry), NOT
the PRO Series pictured with the strain relief.
The PRO Series from Belkin has the strain relief, model numbers ending in
-S, e.g. A3L791-25-S purchased from Amazon. Be aware of this, I see other
reviewers complained also. The FastCAT 5e series also has strain relief,
e.g. part #A3L850-07KS-MOD. The 'S' in the part # means strain relief as
part of the manufacture. Look for this when buying Belden cables and you
won't feel deceived or burned by the seller, unless they ship the wrong
part number to you. In this case make sure what you're buying first. Even
so I had no problem using these bulk style cables.
This Cable I bought from here is good of quality, meanwhile, it is cheap. You cannot miss it. I would not like to afford this kind of cable in my college's bookstore beacause price there is always high and not that worth. But here is the difference of online shopping.

Reasonably Priced
For $3 and free shipping with the rest of my order, who cares if it's hand crimped? This cable has performed flawlessly for the past 2 months and I see no reason why I should ever have a problem.
fast delivery. product not as pictured but what can you expect for a price this low.
The ethernet cable worked out well, I used it to hook up my netflix roku box linking it to my router.

Works like a champ
I'm using this cable for my home network. It works well and the price is right. I'm using it to share a DSL line. One end of the cable connects to the WiFi access hub and the other end to my computer.

The Cable is NOT as Advertised!
It is manually terminated with Cat 5E Belkin cable, nothing more!
I would not recommend this purchase because of the quality and integrity of the cable.
The picture of the cable is not what I got from Amazon!
Great value for the money. Using for 2 months and perfect. Not flimsy at all.

DOES THE JOB WELL!!!
I just recently bought this product mainly for use with my PS3 system because the ethernet cable that came with it stopped working. So far i haven't had any problems with this. The data transfer is fast and smooth. Its great for playing online games via the playstation network, i haven't experience any connection lags while playing COD4. I strongly recommend this product if your looking for a cheap good quality patch cable. Oh and i bought one for use with my laptop and i must say i was pretty impressed on how it handled my DSL connection, downloading music and video is a breeze.

Every once in awhile I end up in a place where the wireless net is very poor. I bought this cable as a backup to hard connect when necessary and it works great. Good price, was delivered quickly and it works. That's it.

Deceptive Offer - Not Belkin Product
I purchased these patch cables with the understanding these were FACTORY TERMINATED patch cables from Belkin. The ad picture even shows a picture of a REAL Belkin cable, with factory terminated RJ45's.
What I received was some Belkin cable with a HAND TERMINATED RJ45! If I wanted this, I could have made myself. I don't believe just because Belkin cable is used, this can be called a "Belkin Patch Cable".
The cost was cheap and I need the cables yesterday, so I had to use them. Not worth the effort and time to return. So far, no problems, but I won't buy these again and recommend others don't. But I worry about the cables being used in production. It's an unnecessary risk that will surely cause a service call later.
It bears repeating. HDMI cables pass a digital signal, in other words 1's and 0's or on and off pulses. Like HD TV you either have a perfect signal or none at all.
Buy the cheapest cable you can find.

It's cheap and it works!
There's not much to say about a cable. Either it works or it doesn't. But here's the important thing: this Belkin cable works just as well as identical cables priced five times higher at my local office supply store. I'm very pleased with my purchase and consider it a great value.
What can I say? I does what it's supposed to do. No problems and good price.

What Can You Say About A Cable?
I wanted to expand my ethernet network to include a second computer in a remote office. With only one cable going to this location I needed a switch and two more cables.
These cables have a very low price, and the length assured me the needed flexibility in locating the equipment in the room. I installed the switch, attached the computers with two of these cables and was back in business.
The cables are doing a great job and everything is working as it should.
