BlackBerry Charging Pod for BlackBerry 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330 Curve (Silver)

This was a good idea for a charger that works quite well. My old phone, (have to get a new one in an unrelated matter) had a bad port and I had to buy this to alleviate the issue and it works beautifully.

I had looked at this on the BB website and didn't want to pay the asking price! So glad I found it here! Use USB connection for my laptop for charging and like that I can have it handy, so that I don't have to almost clear my entire desk when calls are received. Wish it would also sync, but I just pop the cable out of the Pod & into my BB to do that easy enough. I'm just glad I know where it is when it rings and at the end of the day :-)

This is an Awesome little product but be careful..it is NOT compatible for the Blackberry Curve 8330!!!! That is what I have and I did some research before I bought on the blackberry website. This is just for the 8300, 8310 and 8320. Upon looking at the back of my blackberry I saw there there are NO charging metallic pads on the back of the phone. So if you have the 8330 DO NOT purchase this. I wish I had the 8320 now. LOL I have the palm pre plus for my personal phone and I use the touchstone charger..it's fantastic so I wanted something similar for my blackberry. Oh well.

I purchased this charger after my daughter stepped on my phone while it was plugged in - rendering the charger port on my Blackberry useless. After using an external battery charger for a while, and "leap-frogging" my two batteries, I found this desktop charger. It uses the same wall charger cable that came with the Blackberry, and even works with a usb cable connected to your PC.
I've seen others complain about the light on the charger being on all the time, but that's really not a problem to me. I really only see 2 downsides to this product: it does not support file transfer to your PC, and there is not indicator that shows if your phone is charged/charging (but how hard is it to just look at the icon on your phone?)

Well made, perfect weight to hold the phone and not slide over the desk.
It does not change the color when charging the phone whick I think would be nice.
If you are going to leave it in your bedroom the front light is a little on the bright side and may bother those who like a pitch black room as I do; great for your office though.

I wish I had purchased this item a year ago when I got my BB. It makes it so easy to charge and doesn't put wear and tear on the cord or area that you plug the charger into. Very happy and the only thing that would make me happier is if I could charge it with the skin on. Not a big deal though. I will be buying one for my husband soon.

Very good purchase. This pod eliminates plugging & unplugging mini USB connection. Simply set the phone in the pod and you are done. Could have a light to show actively charging.

It charges my berry fast, and when I'm not using it as a charger, my BB sits upright so I can see my indicator lights easily. It also muffles the sound when the BB vibrates which is awesome if I'm at work!

only reason i wont give it a five is because its not as chrome as the picture suggests. it has a pink-ish hue to it which can be noticeable in the right light which in my case is just in my bedroom under a normal light bulb. but the product is RIM all the way through. and it looks damn cool lit up with ur blackberry displayed.

It's a great product but be sure your model is listed before you purchase. Charger plug-in sizes differ by models. This will not work for a 8900!

this charger is awesome. My husband loves it, and for the price, you can't beat it.

This base looks great, is very solid, and works exactly as expected. The recharger that comes with BlackBerry plugs into the back of this cradle and charges through two connectors on the back of the BlackBerry, so this will not work with most "skin" type cases.

I like that the BlackBerry screen is visible when it is in the cradle so I can see my email and phone calls. Due to the weight and the rubberized base this is a very stable base, which allows you to still use the BlackBerry when seated in the base.

A few days ago my Blackberry's Charging Jock broke I went to repair it and they repaired it.They told me it's very loose and suggested me to buy this.It works excellent charges fast etc.
So if you have your Blackberry with the jock broken or not.
Buy this it will make it easier to charge.

This item does not work on the Blackberry 8300, no way no how. I will be returning them soon.

You may be purchasing this for the same reason I did: Blackberry mini-USB charging ports are fragile (i.e cheaply made). I've switched out three Blackberry 8330's because of this design flaw. When my current phone started showing signs of the port going bad, I jumped on this Charging Pod. It will not sync the BB with your PC, so look elsewhere if that's what you need. But to eliminate the hassle of daily plugging-in and the resulting wear on the phone's port,this is great. It uses the external contacts at the base of the BB handset to charge. Can't beat the price. I got two of them.

I should have read more close. This unit will NOT sync your BlackBerry it will only charge it. Other than that is was inexpensive and worked just the way it should.

This charging pad is compact and is a safe haven for your blackberry. Easy to use.

I have a dresser top valet that I use for the technology that I carry on a daily basis. This charging station is well lit and much easier than trying to fumble in the dark to find the USB charging cable the comes with the blackberry. The front of the cradle lights up making it easy to locate and easily place the Blackberry in the cradle. I do wish there was some form of positive feedback when the device is correctly inserted, but it is easy to see the charging plug on the Blackberry itself.

No need to plug phone it. Just sit it in cradle and it charged. I like this much better than the standard charger.

I thought it was a great value. It supports my blackberry and prevents it from sliding off counter. Best of all it looks classy!

I have had my BlackBerry Curve for close to 2 years now. I recently found this little dock here at Amazon and bought it. It was cheap, looks fantastic, and keeps my phone within an easy viewing angle. A "Must Have" for any BlackBerry Curve owner!

This desk top charging pod is the best I have bought in a long time. I have two of these one at home and one at work and you can not beat the price. Would recommend this to anyone.

This is a good product, I love mine. Its just a small standing but it can charge your BB from the back, I can just come home and drop my BB on the Pod and be done!! Look good too. I dont get the retail price of $40, but I got it for $6 shipped from Amazon anw ^^.

I was so pleased with the charging pod for my blackberry. When the plug-in stopped working, I thought I would have to replace my phone. The plug in now plugs into the charging pod and it charges perfectly. I have even used it in my car a few times. I have also found that if I charge it until the battery light is full and take it off, the charge lasts a lot longer. Great product, very pleased!!

This BlackBerry OEM charging Pod is amazing. Looks great, Works Gret, would recommend to anyone. Much better for your BB than plugging in all the time. Only issue is if you have a case on your BB you need to remove it first.

This pod charges my blackberry very efficiently. You no longer have to look for the cords to charge your Blackberry. Very fashionable also.

This is a great charger. I like having the pod on my desk and setting my curve into it instead of just the charging cord laying on my desk. would buy again if ever needed.

Could I live without this? Absolutely. Are there better things to spend my money on? Of course there are. This little gadget simply makes life a tiny bit easier. I just put my Blackberry in the charger, no need to hunt for the cord. Drop it in when I get home, pick it up on my way out the door. It's all a one-handed operation. I'm all about making life a wee bit easier. And it looks cool!

Good product, but you need to unplug it when not in use because the lights stay on. Can't use it in a bedroom but it is good for an office space.

Charging pad is very convenient. Small light in front works like a night light....it's VERY bright!

this is a great product i didn't really need it but its hella a lot easier charging my phoen and for the price... you cant beat this product.

Its great how easy this product works, Cant believe i didnt get one when i bought the phone. It should come with the phone, Really its a must have for your BB. if your thinking about buying one, you should and you cant beat the amazon price..You'll love it, bought one for my wife, and she loves it too..

I like it, but the only problem i see is that you have to take the skin off to charge.

If you can pick it up for $5.00 or less I'd say go for it.. Its pretty cool. As one person put it, Its great to have on your desk at work to see incoming calls/text messages but as for a primary charger no. I used it for the first week and my battery would die 1/2 way through the day. Keep it on the desk as holder or in the kitchen but don't count on it as a primary charger. Does'nt really matter anyway because you have to input your normal charger in to the back of it for it to work anyway.

I bought a Blacberry Curve 8310 a couple of days back but its charger was not working. Since I left the place where I bought 8310 so i decided to buy this charging pod-- it was cheaper than revisiting place. It's good and works fine. It works just the way it is supposed to be. I am not giving it a 5 star rating because i thought it can be used to connect 8310 to computer but it does not. But that is with manufacturer and not with seller Amazon. For amazon it's a 5 star rating i received it in OEM packing and not in retail pack but that does not bothers me - in fact i am happy that i did not have to unpack hard plastic covers. It was just for information if somebody has doubt. As I said before, it's light looks good when connected to power.

The people at Verizon had never heard of this accessory, but I am so glad I found it. It makes the desk so much less cluttered and keeps your BlackBerry from being scratched.

I love my charging pod I purchased for my Blackberry. The outlet for my charger no longer worked so I ordered the pod and it works better than the wall charger. It is fast and easy to use. It is awesome. I recomend Blackberry owners to order one today.

The charging port on my blackberry broke off and the manufacturer does not cover it under warranty because they say it is a "misuse of the product"!!! the best, easiest and least expensive solution I found was this charger. At first I thought I would get a cheap piece of plastic with a couple connectors on it, but when the charger arrived I realized it was a pretty good pice of equipment. I have been using it for about a month now and couldn't be happier with my decision.

Great alternative for charging phone. My port on the last blackberry went bad from charging with the wall charger. Can't go wrong with a cradle alternative.

The Charging pod is OK, it does cut back on the wear and tear of the plug in port. But it's not so convenient when you have to disconnect to Sync.

Product is excllent and you can't beat the price. To bad they charge so much shipping compared to the price.

2:00am...your custom ringer starts blaring! You start to reach around your nightstand frantically trying to end the tunes that so abruptly woke you! Being half awake and trying to adjust to the sudden lights and sounds coming from your phone you knock your phone on the floor (where it continues to ring and flash)

This was something that always bothered my about the cable plugged into the side of my phone, although the scenario wasn't always that extreme...you know what I mean.

I decided to pick up this charging pod in hopes of knowing right where the phone was sitting...it did the trick!

The cradle/pod has a nice weight to it, and the look is even better! The chrome base looks really nice with both the red and titanium curve, and the white "BB" emblem is awesome at night with just the right amount of glow. The LED color however doesn't change between charged/charging...not a big deal for me.

The number one feature of this cradle is the phone doesn't "lock" into the base, instead it seems to float making it perfect for quick and easy removal and insertion.

I just ordered a second one for my desk at work since its nice to have your phone upright and not buried in a mass of paperwork or constantly having to unplug and plug it in between meetings, job site visits, etc!

Excellent product would highly recommend to any BB user!
