This is my first cd by this artist and I was not disappointed. A couple of the songs have a similar sound but that's still ok with me. I also like the vocals that were added. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Another Classic Album!!!!!!!
Euge Groove does it again, y'all!!!! By far his best CD ever in my opinion. The smooth jazz genre as a whole has not fallen off at all for the past 5-10 years. It just seems every year, the genre gets better and better. Anyway, my favorite tracks are:
1)-A Summer Night's Dream
2)-Mr. Groove
3)-Cafe Del Sol
6)- Religify
7)-Geez Spot
If these are your favorites too, keep 'em on repeat.
Euge Groove hits the mark with Born 2 groove. Love it...well, most of it.
There are 11 songs on the alum but I only really count 8. Why do great instrumental jazz musicians feel they have to add in a couple of vocal tracks on every album??? If I wanted vocals, I'd buy an album of vocals. What I want is consistent, feel good, smooth, instrumental jazz!! I have to buy the album, rip it onto a CD, omitting the vocals. Not that big of a deal and I am in no way saying that the two vocal tracks aren't great-they are; they just don't fit with what I'm wanting.
All in all, 8 tracks for the price of 11 is not all that bad. Good music!

Smooth/Funkified Jazz at Its Very Best!
I received this awesome CD for Christmas, and I have listened to it several times over already. There isn't one track that I don't like, and I LOVE most of them!
I wish Euge would publish a live album as I have seen him live and he is SO MUCH more talented than is apparent on his albums. Nonetheless, this is a rather good offering.
I loved the song with Ali Ollie Woodson. A great take of the Donny Hathaway tune

Euge Groove-Born to Groove
Excellent CD, Euge just gets better & better. He should do more with the likes of Peter White, George Benson, Boney James and others. I'm sure a greatest hit CD will be in the works soon. Great, great, great CD.
This CD is a must have for Smooth Jazz lovers. It is incredible. It's one of the best buys I've made in a while.
I've never heard of him before and a friend just told me to pick this one up. Man, I'm glad I did! The album is literally filled with soul, seduction, and wonderful smooth jazz. A totally moving piece. Take a close listen!

At His soulful best!!!!!
I recently purchased my copy of Born 2 Groove, What was I waiting for!!?? This is Euge Groove at his soulful best. He nailed this one, I cant't stop playing this disc! One of his best CD's - Self titled "Euge Goove" is still tops to me, but this one you can really feel the music and the soulfulness of the musician. Every track is wonderfully crafted, my favs are "Born 2 Groove", "Baby If You Only Knew" (featuring my fav vocalist - Jeffrey Osborne!) and "A Summer Night's Dream". The recording is awesome, very clear and clean. A "must have" for your collection!

Euge hits this one out of the park
After being mildly disappointed with his last release I was hoping Euge would not lose my interest. Well folks he hit this one out of the park. There is not a song on this CD that I do not enjoy. His work with Paul Brown always produces fiyah. I typically hate when vocals are allowed to muddy the CD but Ollie Woodson and Jeffery Osborne vocals with Euges sax is match made in heaven. I have played this CD over and over and I would have to put it right there with Living Large as my second best CD by Euge (his first is still my alltime favorite). I highly recommend this offering and look forward to his sweet sound in the future.

Euge disappointmnet
Despite a couple Jazz magazines' stellar reviews of this CD. It is nothing more than another addition to endless list of non-descript smooth jazz CD's. The fact he chose to cover a great old Blood,Sweat, and Tears classic ( I Love You More than You'll Ever Know") got my hopes up. Lousy arrangement and really mediocre music.

Great, but too much programmed drums
Wonderful tunes wih superb hooks, but ruined by the absence of a live drummer. Get a real drumkit and drummer (Gadd, Miller or Ferrone?)to Groove with you, Euge!

He did it again!!
I Love Euge Groove. His latest CD is nice, much better than the last one, but not as good as his self-titled CD "Euge Groove". That one put him on the map in my book!!! Some tracks on this CD sound the same, but overall a nice listen.

Grammy Material.
I am listening to this CD after having read Sandy Shore's review of it, and that review says it all. But for you audiophiles, I can attest to the fact that in addition to the accurate accolades of Sandy's review, this CD is extremely well recorded. Sounds great coming through my Arcam AV9 preamp/processor. Its the best sound overall I've heard this year in smooth jazz. This is definitely Grammy material for 2007. Oh, and no drum machines, but real drums. Are you reading this Kim Waters?

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! describes my review of "Born 2 Groove". There isn't one song on the CD that I don't like. The order of the songs is perfect for listening too. I think Euge Groove outdid himself on this album, as impossible as that may seem, in light of the quality of his other albums. We have all of Euge Groove's music, enjoy it all, and it just depends what mood we are in as to which CD gets put into the player. We haven't stopped playing "Born 2 Groove" though since it was released. One other suggestion would be to go see Euge Groove live in concert if you get the opportunity. In addition to being a wonderful musician, he is clever and witty and a definite crowd pleaser. If you want to get up and dance at his concert, you won't be out of place. He is a phenomenal entertainer!

Smoothjazz.com Review
What a great album this is! It's Euge at his absolute best, rising still another notch on the groove meter and totally nailing this one. It's Paul Brown, with his fifth successful collaboration with Euge Groove in seven years, demonstrating beyond any doubt that he is the Smooth Jazz producer par excellence. As for the music, the title track (and first radio single) says it all... top 10 and still rising. What strikes me as I listen to BORN 2 GROOVE is that not only is it soulful, and not only does it display groove, panache and, yes, Euge's trademark funk, but it has more of... an indefinable vibe to it that is a reflection of the soul of the musician. I hesitate to say spiritual, but I think that's really what's going on here. Euge Groove is fulfilling his purpose in a really powerful, positive way. He's communicating with us like he was meant to, providing yet another collection of pure joy and good feelings, delivered in a classy, uplifting package that will become one of this genre's forever classics. Euge believes strongly that everyone comes into this world with unique abilities and special gifts. "If we are fortunate enough to have great people around us, those natural abilities can be nurtured along," he says. Euge Groove has the gifts, has surrounded himself with professionals who have the passion for using their gifts, and together they have created a truly outstanding collection of sax-driven Smooth Jazz. BORN 2 GROOVE rocks! ~SCOTT O'BRIEN

Euge has done it again!
Quite simply, another masterpiece. Euge has the proven formula for producing hit, after hit, after hit. His style is smooth, his songs are tight, and his concerts are awesome. This is yet another stellar CD. Thanks for giving your all, with every project Euge. Hurry and make it back to Houston for another live concert!

Tasteful and unaffected.
With a pleasingly unaffected, natural-sounding delivery and a considerable talent for writing original songs ranging from soulful ballads to funky shuffles or relatively conventional standard-influenced material, Euge Groove has made another great recording with "Born 2 Groove".
The aforementioned range of his material is what immediately impresses but this eclecticism is entirely unforced, enabling him to express straightforward heart-on-sleeve emotion one minute ("I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know") and emulate the penchant for "gospel/R&B" songs the next ("Café del Soul" and "Religify") without any undue abruptness of transition.
The neat tastefulness of his bandmates and the controlled power of his arrangements help in this process. But overall it is the clear commitment and patent sincerity of Euge himself ("Baby If You Only New"), for instance, contains some of the most unaffected passages you're ever likely to hear in the current saccharine Smooth Jazz trend ), not to mention his sheer musicality and ability to deliver a song in a variety of modes and moods, that make this album so attractive.
Throughout, Euge's emotional saxophones (he is one of the surest-toned sax players currently operating and his playing is both subtle and assured) are artfully blended with striking, alternately delicate and robust orchestral colours and vocals ( the great Jeffrey Osborne and the former Temptations lead singer Ali "Ollie" Woodson perform on two tracks) so that each piece becomes an organic whole rather than (as too often in such projects) a too easy, sugary confection in which shimmering strings are the icing on a relatively bland jazz cake.
Intelligently paced like a well-arranged club set, this is his most personal statement to date as an artist and an assured recording from a musician to watch.
