Boss Audio BV7.3FLIP 7.3-Inch Flip-Down TFT Monitor

This was my second time that I ordered the overhead monitors. First time was a wrong order because I wanted a built in dvd player with the monitor and I ordered one without the dvd player. Then I reordered this monitor with the dvd player. Both dvds' product condition showed up as old or recondition. They both looked like someone tried to install them but decided to return them afterward. Furthermore, I'm quite disappointed with the item. I couldn't install it because it did not come with a good hardware (bracket). The bracket would not fit in any or my cars. I thought the bracket suppost to be universal. Since I had already returned the first overhead monitor, I did not return this one because I got tire of running around in and out of the post office and the paper work.

I bought this to use as the monitor for my home video surveillance recorder. It fit nicely in the ceiling of the cabinet I'm using. It has good color and viewing angle. Tucks nicely out of the way when not being used.
I've given it 4 stars because it fit my application so perfectly - but there are some less than perfect issues.
First, the upper case is a bit flimsy feeling.
The next problem is that when you close the unit it is possible to have the power button (just below the screen) accidentally pressed and the unit turns itself ON! Could cause you to run your car's battery down if it is not on a key switched circuit.

Product look good for the picture. I recevied quickly in 3 days. When I order my product. the specification say audio/video input. when I open and test. I can only use one rca cable for video.. I can't not get sound out. but the screen and control have volume up and down... Need to description detain... wrong information about audio/video input.

Talking about the screen resolution, you will not be disappointed by this product. It is good for the price, I am recommending it. I bought it after I dumped an earlier pyramid screen i bought. The only problem you have to contend with, which is negligible anyway, is in opening it. the screen is stiff and doesnt easily flip down, you have to drag it down. Apart from this, it is a great item!

i received a defective piece, which is not working.......
I bought for Saudi Arabia. When it came here i found its not working. These amzon guyz are not helping me to replace the defective piece.
I want them to pay all the charges for courier service.

The unit works as advertised and provides a crystal clear display that is bright and viewable from a wide range of angles. My use of the product is unusual and involved making physical changes to the unit and using it indoors with a power supply purchased separately. I am using the product as part of my multimedia stack that uses a projector. This allows me to use the stack and navifate menues etc. without turning on the projector -- such as I need to do if I just want to listen to music. The product was easy to modify and I had it operating in its transformed state within hours of receiving it.

The button to open the screen sticks in the frame, and don't let the monitor get down easily, I have to make some effort to set it. But the image is great and the lights are really nice
