2nd time I've purchased this product (one was for a gift). It is great! It does not move at all on any dash. I have no problems with my Garman 1300 series. Nav-Mat was delivered ahead of estimated delivery date. Great product! Great vendor/supplier! Thanks.

Remove your GPS and just toss this in the trunk and no one will smash your window...Great idea!

This is a great product. I was skeptical at first that it would really stay in place on my dash but my doubts were unfounded. Even when I had to come to an abrupt stop, this pad staid in place and as a result, so did my GPS! It also works on an irregular (angled) surface with the same results - it stays in place!

It looks like others have had the same problem with this mount as I have. Overall, its inexpensive, small and low profile, so it works fantastically... until the temperature drops. Accelerating up hills in the cold, this thing flew off my dash (Dodge Neon) twice. Thankfully, each time it landed in the passenger seat, so there was no damage to the GPS. The bottom line is that the friction on the bottom of this device (really the entire function of this thing) is highly temperature dependent. I would look around to see if other similar products have this same issue before you jump at the low cost of this model.

Very good product for my GPS Magellan 1475T. Very stable on dashboard.

I am very happy with this item. I do not use it on the dash, so I have no idea if it works there. I use it on the middle of the bench seat, on the passenger seat, and on the hump on the floor below the radio. The GPS unit fits in it beautifully: easy in and easy out since I do not ever leave the GPS screen in the car to be seen and stolen, very stable with the GPS unit postured on it, and heavy enough to be stable and light enough to lift and move around the car to make it handy or get it out of my way. I use my car and the GPS unit mostly for business appts at people's homes throughout my week. This was a real problem-solver for me. Also, very handy to grab-and-go when heading to a new address with my husband for dining or visiting. I love that it is portable into the other vehicle.

I have had this since Sept. '09. It works great! It also fits very easily under either front seats of my car. That's very nice for quick out of site storage.

As others have stated it will not hold when it is cold. I don't use my GPS on a daily basis. So whenever I'm not using it (for longer period of times) I keep it in the house. So when I take off on a trip with this product the GPS stays mounted on the frictional pad since it is warm even though the car isn't.

This product hasn't ever slid off my dash. I have a Mercury Sable. I put this towards the center where the dash isn't flat. Still it stays put.

It does a great job. No need to hesitate.

My problem is when turning corners, it slips off the dashboard,....
it does not, in my case anyway, adhere to the dash....I have to reach out and hold it when turning corners......

This product works great. It holds my Nuvii in place and is easily moved to the floor. tohide it from view when parked.

I purchased the Nav-Mat based on reviews I read and I'm glad that I did. It gives me the option to place my Garmin GPS unit on my dashboard instead of on my front window. It hugs the road with all of my turns and twists and yet it's removable when you're ready to stow it away until your next trip. It adheres to the dashboard, yet it isn't a permanent mount which makes it a handy little gadget for your GPS Unit. I love it.

It is bigger than I expected ,and for Tom Tom navigation is useless. I have a XL-340. It is impossible to connect the base to this mat. It will get loose again. If you want to just put your navigation on this mat, the navigation will fall easily. I think the height of this mat is too much.
The only plus for this mat is that it will not slide from the dash. Generally I am not satisfy with it and I can not use it for my navigation at all.

gps does better on its own than with the nav-mat. Twice my gps went flying off the dash pad-once nearly out the window! I did love the frustration free packaging. Returned the product after I nearly lost the gps. Happy to say the return process was hassle free.

This is by far the best accessory for your GPS receivers. Period. I should have purchased this instead of the highly praised Garmin's own Dashboard mount.

This was just what I needed. I can keep my gps on the dash within easy view. It stays put and doesn't slide all over the place

I find this product to be very benifitual , For one thing it is easy to remove and place your gps on the floor so it is not visible when you leave it unattended .

It works well to keep your GPS on the dash, it doesn't fall off the base-easy to use

I bot one last year for a heavy 4.3" Megallen GPS. It works very well. I put the suction cup on last year. It never came off. The bean bag does not slide on my curve mini-van dash, nor the sedan's nor the SUV's. It works so well that I have just bot another one last week for 9 dollars and change for my Nuvi GPS. Good deal! Best buy for the money.

The Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad gave us a low-cost and very effective way of meeting our needs. My wife and I each like to have our Tom Tom ONE unit in different locations when we're driving, but we both prefer not to have it right under the windshield. That is because of the backlighting from the sky in the daytime, and light from the unit which interferes with forward visibility at night. The Tom Tom unit vacuum mount stuck firmly to the Bracketron, and enabled us to set the Bracketron, as each of us likes it, on the center console. It was very stable, even during hard turns and stops, and the GPS unit works well so long as it's far enough forward that the metal roof of the car doesn't block the GPS signals. It's convenient, when setting up or modifying a route, to temporarily move the mounted GPS unit to a more convenient spot, such as the passenger's lap, while entering information into the unit. When it's not in use, we store the GPS unit, still mounted on the Bracketron, out of sight in a console storage compartment. We are completely satisfied with this mount and recommend it to anyone as a really flexible and cost-effective mounting solution.

This device allows you to keep your GPS screen in place without having to have a more permanent stand in your car. This means added security in that you can take all signs of a GPS from your vehicle. I bought it on a recommendation of two other customers and am satisfied that it does exactly what it is supposed to.

This device does what it say it will do, it holds my GPS device on the dash and it hasnt slipped from the dash once. The only issues i had were getting my tom tom one to fit into the holder while being charged (the plug goes into the bottom of my device, and its a tight fit with the base) and at first, the device didnt get stuck that well to the base, however, after doing the old lick trick about a month ago, the device has not fallen out again. This includes numerous trips from the dash to the floor for storage. Overall, the product is much better than sticking the suction cup to the window and once you get the device stuck to the base with the power charger in, this works great.

I love this product. It makes using my gps so much easier. I don't have to worry about the gps always falling off the windshield because of it being too hot or too cold.

Purchased this dash pad with a Garmin 285. While this pad was less expensive than some of the others on Amazon, it had the best reviews so I thought I would try it. I'm glad I did, the product is very well constructed! Tough materials all around! The pads weight and the tacky material on the bottom keep it and my new Nuvi solidly mounted on my dash. In my 2008 Honda CRV, the center part of the dash where the pad is placed is smooth plastic without any texture what so ever. The pad and device have never budged a millimeter. In my 2004 Ford F-150, the dash is textured somewhat, but again it has never moved.

My original GPS device was always attached to windshield via the suction mount. I REALLY like the convenience of using the dash pad! It can be easily transferred to different vehicles and having the ability to place it on the floorboard makes me feel better about avoiding getting my window smashed and my new Nuvi stolen (TIP: I use a small square piece of soft fleece-like black material to camouflage/conceal the GPS unit while its on the floor. The cloth also doubles as a GPS screen/sunglasses/windshield cleaner).

I my opinion you cannot beat the price, quality and functionality of the Bracketron dash pad!

I purchased this for my wife to go with her new Magellan GPS. We've had issues in the past with the standard suction cup mount falling off our window in the middle of a trip.

With this handy mat, we no longer have to worry about that. The setup was very easy. Simply place the mat of your dashboard, then using the standard suction cup that comes with your GPS you can attach the GPS to the center of the mat. I've done this one time, and have not had to worry about the suction coming loose and the GPS falling on the floor.

You can also easily adjust the angle of your GPS which is a convenient feature. The mat is very sturdy and we have not had any issues with it slipping around on the dashboard. It is also very easy to move from one vehicle to another. I recently had to do this when borrowing the GPS for a trip in my car using my Garmin Nuvi GPS.

Overall, this is a very nice product that can be used with just about any brand of GPS. The price is affordable for almost any budget, making this a good buy if your looking for an affordable GPS mounting solution.

I would love this pad if I could get the GPS to stay stuck to the pad. I attach it to the pad and it works great for a while but then later it falls off and I have to reattach it. The pad does stay in place though even when I have to make sudden turns. Unfortunately if the GPS has come loose, it goes flying.

This purcasse was satisfactory. I received item in 7 days, a little long time, but all was fine.

Love it! I had my last GPS stolen because the thieves saw the circle thing on the window and broke in searching everywhere for where I hid the GPS...now that I don't have to stick it to the window its awesome!:)

We bought this product at a "brick and mortar" store (rhymes with "Shmarget") and loved it immediately. Really liked the ability to move it from my wife's car to my truck. No tape or glue marring the dashboard (it's illegal to mount on the windshield in CA). No weird mount blocking my AC vent and moving back and forth as I turn the vehicle, as happened in my truck with another product. The Nav-Mat was it....for a few weeks.

Then, troubles.

It seemed that the bottom of the thing, after about six or seven weeks, lost its tackiness and started sliding all over the dashboard. Falling to the floorboards. Hitting my wife in the legs. Not a lot of fun. So I emailed Bracketron's customer support.

Here's where it gets good. And not "Ugh, what a pain in the tushy the support people are." It's "why aren't more companies like this?" good. This is why they garnered three stars. Not for the product, but for the company's customer service.

The gentleman asked for my mailing address to send me a new Nav-Mat, which he did. And when that one went the same way as the first, he sent me their new design, which is a flat rubber mat that sticks (but not permanently) to the dash. No sending back the original. No waiting for a mailing label. No charges for shipping. Nothing, not one dime. The company seemed determined to make me happy with at least one of their products, and it is for this reason I recommend their products to my family and friends wholeheartedly. If more companies stood behind their products as Bracketron does, it would make life just a bit less stressful.

Arrived in good time and was exactly what i expected and at a fair price.. what more could i ask for!!

I'm happy! My Magellan RoadMate 1470 "window" mount stays put on the Bracketron dash pad, and the dash pad stays put on my dash! I know some have expressed complaints about the mounting pad, but I attached the GPS mount once (with a little bit of water around the edges of the suction cup to "prime" it), and it's been stuck on every since (over a month). When I park, I just disconnect the GPS unit and slide the dash pad with mount still attached under my seat. What more could I want? :-)

My parents own one of these mats, and after seeing it "in action," my husband and I each purchased one for our GPSs. We ended up having to replace my husband's since the bottom of his mat did not stick at all. It was the same model, same brand- looked the same. Perhaps the bottom material was stitched on upside-down? In any case, it slid all over the place. Instead of that bumpy texture, it was more or less smooth (still had some texture, but not enough). It was cheaper to buy another than to bother shipping it back and forth, so that's what we did. The replacement was fine.
Maybe for those complaining, they also got unlucky with a defective mat.

My parents and husband own the Magellan Maestro 3250, and I use the Magellan RoadMate 1475T. The RoadMate display tilts upward slightly when used with this mount, but it hasn't been a problem for me (and I'm short, and the dashboard in my car is relatively high). It might get annoying with some glare. I try to keep the GPS in the section of my dashboard that dips down a little. The Maestro has no problem fitting and rotating to all useful angles.

This mat was going for about $30 at Best Buy, so the price was very good at Amazon. The "frustration-free" packaging was a nice touch in my opinion, and I particularly liked it because if we ended up with another defective mat, it would be easier to just slide back in the box to ship rather than deal with the broken packaging.

I would also like to add that we've been using these mounts all throughout the Northeast; including cold, snowy Syracuse; and we've had no issues with the mats becoming "slippery" in the cold weather.

This is so functional. My GPS used to fall off the window in cold weather. Not now. It also makes it so easy to move (hide) the GPS when not in the car.

Before I purchased this item from Amazon, I read several reviews that it would not work in cold weather. There is a simple solution. I added a small amount of gorilla glue to the bottom of the Tom Tom GPS mount and it held perfectly though the very cold weather we had recently. This a very functional item which allows you to move your GPS around without damage to your dashboard. Just as important is that it makes it easy to hide when you are out of the car.

I didn't know that my GPS shipped with a suction attachment, so I figured I needed this base, but didn't know why. When I discovered that my TomTom One had a suction attachment, I figured "that was good enough" and didn't use the dash pad initially. Curiousity led me to unpack the dash pad, and I'm glad I did. It makes using the TomTom MUCH more convenient. I definitely recommend the dash pad for TomTom users.

Even though I gave this pad as a Xmas gift, I can say that it has been greatly appreciated by my father (the recipient). Since my father uses his TomTom Go 730 mostly for work to make service calls throughout CT, NY, and MA, he often finds himself parking in unfamiliar and often unsecured areas. This dash mat allows him to quickly hide the fact that he has a GPS unit by simply hiding the mat under his car seat. It removes the worry of having to use a Velcro strip or the suction cup that often leaves a tell-tale mark on the windshield for would be thieves.


It is a great accessory for anyone with a TomTom Go 730, and Amazon provided superb service, especially in getting it to me on time.

This is a very stable pad for your GPS. Mine is mounted in a 2008 Dakota pickup, which has a good dashboard area. It's well weighted and doesn't slide around. I've made several trips and done a lot of town driving with a lot of turns and various degrees of curves at various speeds. It just sits there holding my Garmin 285 WT (4 1/2 screen). It has not slipped, slid, or lost traction. Some of my friends are now in the process of ordering one for their vehicles.

This dash pad is really weighty. It stays where you put it even when my wife is driving. The bracket for the Magellan Roadmate 1700 is securely attached to the pad. We keep the pad in the car and it is easy to release the gps unit and take it with us or put it away. This is my first gps unit and I am glad I purchased the dash pad with it.

The Bracketron Friction dashboard pad is quite nice. It has enough weight to really stay put even through swerves and turns while on an uneven dash. I use it with a TomTom ONE 140s and it works great. The swivel mount on the TomTom doesn't leave a ton of room underneath the GPS for the beanbag but it is certainly workable. I'd only get the extension bracket if you would like the GPS device much closer to you off the dashboard. For the price this is great, it's much more substantial than my Garmin beanbag mount.

I wasn't sure how well this pad would work. My expectations weren't too high. But, I was very pleased with the product after I tried it. It has plenty of weight and grippy bottom to make your gps unit stay put. So much better than sticking it on the windshield. So nice when using in more than one vehicle. I would recommend it.

I drive some really rough logging roads here in Oregon. I have purposely hit some rough spots faster than I probably should to see if I could dislodge my GPS. So far I haven't been successful. This pad is a great accessory for my GPS and I can move it between my pickup and car with ease. A great buy.

It is a great idea to be able to place your GPS anywhere you want on your dash.... but since GPS units have gotten so small... this oversized mat is not worth the effort.

I bought this to mount my Magellan GPS since it is easy to move from sight and easier to reach than when mounted on the windshield.

The good: For the most part it stays in place on the dash and is easier to reach the touchscreen when driving. I can grab it quick and set it on the floor when I leave the vehicle and there is no mount left on the windshield.

The bad: The suction grip will sometimes let go and the unit will fall to the floor. Sometime it will not lose its grip for several weeks and sometimes it only holds a few hours. If it wasn't for this I would give it 5 stars. I'm sure if my GPS would have broke when it fell off the dash it would have only got one star.

I would still recommend it for non Garmin users, just take it off the dash when not in use. Garmin users have better options than a suction mount.

This mat works great, however, be sure that there is sufficient flat space on the dashboard, otherwise a quick start will result in your GPS landing in your lap.

Got a new GPS for xmas, used it xmas day for trip to relatives, and it worked great. GPS did not move while on dash, and when we got to stores for some shopping, it easily moved from dash to floorboard to remove it from being seen. Highly recommend item

I ordered this product with not very much time for delivery. The date that was given to me as the delivery date was after Christmas. Since this is what I wanted I continued with my order. The product arrived much BEFORE Christmas and not AFTER! I am a "happy camper".

It is a good item but the Tom Tom keeps coming loose from the base and that is a problem when driving
