I was using the cable that came with my 19 inch viewsonic monitor for 5 years and it looked exactly like this cableb but it only had 18 pins and this has 24 pins. For the last few days I was getting green sparkles indicating cable or hardware failure. I like this monitor and didn't want a widescreen one for day to day activities so this cable was a godsend.

I was researching cables and most go for 30 bucks wow what a rip off for a dvi cable. It is a bit stiff and thick but I'm glad because hopefully it will last for 5 years.

I'm as happy as a clam I was using a dsub temporarily yesterday to test out if it is the cable and my initial hunch was right I wasn't getting any green sparkles with the dsub so it was narrowed down to cable or the connector and I'm glad it was just the cable.

Thank you Cables to Go I also have your 7 port hub which works great as well its blue and has a black light that matches everything.

This wasn't suppose to be shipped out so quickly but I got it Amazon still states its not send out.

Why spend $30 or more at the big box store when this cable works just as well.

Note: when using Digital Video Interface, the monitor doesn't actually detect the video signal until Windows delivers the `welcome' screen. So, if you need to switch the bios settings to onboard VGA vs PCI display (onboard VGA is NOT the default) be forewarned that there won't be a PCI signal from your graphics card until the back-up on-board VGA is enabled so you can still switch plugs and access your bios in the event of an emergency.

My efforts to rebuild a computer which was the victim of a failed hard drive, were centered around the purchase of a new graphics processor unit (GPU) PCI card. The OS (operating system) was also outdated, and since the Windows versions since XP have each included a support feature for multiple monitors/displays, my graphics card also featured three types of interface jacks.

The one which resembles a PS/2 mouse plug is unused. But the standard VGA (blue) jack is also present. Also included was an adapter for converting a VGA line to a DVI plug-in. And the third interface is an actual DVI (digital video interface) jack. So you could potentially install two VGA plug-in monitors, or two DVI type monitors, to the one graphics card.

This DVI cable is approximately twice the thickness/gage of the VGA connector wire which was included with the new monitor. And while the packing insert stipulated a DVI cable was to be included, I didn't receive one. Contemporary computers tend to be very capable of processing digital video, and my monitor includes both DVI and VGA jacks. The DVI is preferred to enjoy the optimal performance of a flat-screen monitor.

this cable does what its supposed to do. i hooked up my laptop to a HD monitor and the picture is awesome.

Purchased this item in place of the product offered by Apple. Much less expensive and excellent quality. This item just works. I'm using it with my MacBook Pro 13 and an Acer 22" display.

I reported to Amazon that this was the wrong cable, Amazon preceded to send me the same product again. I notified them that I wanted a refund. As of now 12/19/09 Amazon has refunded my money & shipping expenses to ship it back.

It works fine as described. 1080P display works flawlessly. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Furious! That's the only word I can use to describe my emotion. I just purchased a new LCD monitor for my computer. In anticipation of the purchase I ordered a DVI-to-DVI cable since the monitor manufacturer (Samsung) did not supply a DVI cable. When I connected the new monitor to my computer with the new DVI cable it did not work. I spent many hours on the telephone trouble-shooting the new LCD monitor with Samsung and on my own, assuming either my setup was wrong or the monitor was defective. As a last resort I purchased a another DVI-to-DVI cable locally (that was more expensive). As soon as I connected the monitor with the new cable it worked! As a double check, this morning I "wrung out", i.e. checked, the cable continuity with an ohmmeter. At least two of the cable connections lacked contunity. In all my years of working with electronics and buying cables I have never encountered a cable that was defective straight from the box. A simple continuity check before shipping would take all of ten seconds with the proper equipment. I will never consider buying any items from "Cables To Go" again.

Cheap and work well. I even like how the screws are long enough to actually grab hold of and screw in. Good product. No complaints.

this was the greatest purchase ever. every store i went to wanted between $25 and $35... c r a z y. those people can bite me. i got mine for $3, brand new. yeah, i know. works great. no complaints. amazon is my new best friend. i love you amazon. lol.

The thing about digital cables (hdmi, dvi, toslink) is that they work or they don't. $100 Monster cables are no better than $5 cablestogo cables. This DVI works perfectly. There is simply no reason to pay 20x more for a stupid brand that is endorsed by the best buy guy. save your money.

I bought this cable so I could attach my MacBook laptop to an external monitor. I already had the mini DVI to DVI short cable from Apple, I bought this cable to complete the run to my monitor. Great price and quick delivery.

I use on my Hannsg 24" widescreen monitor that support DVI, but only provide the vga cable. It works as it suppose to the do. The price is reasonable compare to buying at other stores.

I've been using this cable for a couple of years now. Haven't had a single problem with it. Picture quality is phenomenal.

the screws are a little short, but it does not affect the overall quality of the product. works well with no visible difference in video quality between this or more expensive cables I own.

Lots of insulation. This cable was also stiff when first purchased. If your looking to zigzag this cable threw very small bends. it is not the one for you. I don't get any interference or anything the connectors were strong.

This is very inexpensive compared to others on the market which are priced "out of sight"....it works perfect looks/performs like a high quality cable....only one negative the cable is thick black and rather stiff...(reason for 4 rather than 5 stars) I would buy again.

Cable works fine (video quality great), but no threads on one of the screws that hold the cable to the female jack.

I got a new Samsung monitor and needed a DVI cable to connect it. This cable works great. You may want to do a little homework on DVI cables before you buy to ensure you get the right one.

I purchased a DVI cable for my new Gateway desktop. Comparable cables at Best Buy were more than 4 times more expensive. These cables were high quality--the connectors and knobs seemed beefier than those that came with my PC. Also, they arrived at my door in record time.

I have since purchased everal more cables from Cables To Go, including an optical audio cable and an HDMI cable for my home theater system. I have been just as pleased with these subsequent items.

Bottom line: If you want to save money, but don't want to sacrifice quality, buy these cables.

I recently purchased two DVI replacement cables for our Dell flat panel monitors. Cables arrived quickly and have worked flawlessly. The are much better cables than what came with the monitors, and the price was great.

It's a cable, it works, and it was cheaper than Monster Cable. Have had prior quality issues with Monster Cable and I think you are paying for the name and the salary of the marketing people that come up with such imaginative descriptions for a cable. This cable worked fine for my 22" LCD monitor and I doubt a more expensive cable would make any difference. Cable used for light duty use and I would question the cable termination with the connector if this cable was used during travel or continuous bending and flexing.

If you have a high resolution monitor and are using standard cables then you are not getting the best display possible.This Digital video cable is great with a high res monitor because it lets the digital signal pass through it and this gives a crystal clear display that is sharp,colorful and bright.If you are a pc gamer and have a powerful video card and a High resolution monitor then you need this cable to connect the two and get a great display.

I have a standard EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS Superclocked 640MB PCIE video card. It has a STANDARD DVI out. For some reason the 2 screws on the sides that screw into the video card do no reach the nut on the card where they are supposed to screw in. Other cables do just fine, but this cable does not. This is rediculous and very annoying. I would send it back but I'm just going to have to suffer with it because I don't have time for that right now. It was inexpensive but I guess you get what you pay for, so yeah, it's not only inexpensive but it's cheap. Don't companies test their products, things like this just blow my mind and make me sick, whoever gave this product the go to put on the market should be fired on the grounds of being STUPID!

Don't waste money on those other overpriced cables. This item is a good quality item at an incredible price. The picture quality is excellent. This one is actually something you shouldn't pass up.

hooked up to a media center pc and 22" widescreen lcd monitor(replacing the vga cable)and can definitely tell the difference.great value for the money!

I was looking for a DVI-D digital video cable to connect my new monitor to a laptop docking station. I looked around locally for a cable and I couldnt find anything that was reasonably priced. I ordered this from amazon -- since it was dirt cheap, I wasn't sure if it would work well. I am glad i took the chance -- it works great. The image quality is very good too.

Very reasonable price for a dvi cable--you really don't need the monster cable--probably couldn't see the difference anyway--a very good value

This is a very high quality cable. It may not have the expensive marketing of Monster, but it has all the right materials, specifically high-performance polypropylene foam dielectric on the signal lines. The connectors are large and solidly molded. Cable diameter is somewhat large at about 9 millimeters or 3/8 of an inch, but that's a result of the good internal construction. That favorable construction also results in a cable that's somewhat stiff, but fully managable. Be sure to get a cable long enough so you can have some slack to make a strain relief loop at the connections. (In other words the cables should not be pulled tight at the connectors or into sharp bends anywhere. Bends should be gradual, with large radii.) Cables To Go also has 3 and 5 meter versions which Amazon sells, and probably other lengths also. It may take some searching to find them, but it's probably worth it.

After upgrading my computer's video to one of the high end card and upgrading my Monitor to a nice flat LCD (Norcent), I realized Standard VGA connection simply not doing the job. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate and display was getting analog connection (with a lot of visible lines). I went to some of the local stores and realized they are nothing but trying to rip people off. I got this from Amazon and right away my connection changed from Analog to Digital and awesome display. I simply love it. I probably would have loved it even more if the connectors were gold plated. But the way it is, does its job (very well, I should add).

This cable is about 5 times less expensive than locally. Good shipping speed. The digital interface increases the clarity of an image on a LCD screen while also removing the need to adjust the position of the picture in the screen.

Great cable especially for the price. Upgraded from analog D-sub cable to this DVI cable, immediately noticed a difference in quality on my LCD.

Good Product no problems so far except I had to bend back one side of the connector that plugs into the video card because it wouldn't go on properly other then that it works wonderfully and my fps went up because of it

Not much to say about a digital cable. It was a good price and it works. I use it to connect a MacBook (with mini DVI adapter) to a 20.1" Sceptre X20G-Naga LCD (which is beautiful by the way).

Not a single problem after a few months now. The cable is long, fairly flexible, and well-shielded (there is no interference on the screen like with some cheaper cables).

I recently replaced a PC with a Mac laptop. The only video output on a Mac is a DVI-D port; I had been using the DVI-to-analog converter that Apple shipped with my laptop. I notice a pretty good improvement of the picture quality, probably due to the replacing the DVI-to-analog converter and another analog cable with a single cable. If you're considering replacing a DVI-to-analog setup, this cable is well worth the $14.

First off, I want everyone to know that I am idiot. When I was bringing my monitor home for Xmas break I managed to bend/break a couple of the pins in the cable that I had that originally came with my monitor. This cable works just as good as the one that can with my monitor when I bought it and at the time that I bought it it was the cheapest cable the I could find.

The cable failed after a month. No idea why, but could be because it cost ten dollars. Oh well, back to analog.

I purchased this DVI cable in the hopes of improving the picture quality of my HD display and PC. It did not. Not only is the picture quality the exact same as my regular monitor cable but every once in a while the screen goes black without warning and comes back. I know it's this cable because it never did that with my regular monitor cable. I would probably not recommend any DVI cable for that matter if picture quality is what you are looking for. It simply does not seem to improve picture quality.

I needed the analog port on my Samsung SynchMaster 191T for a second PC to connect to, so I bought this cable to replace my missing DVI cable and connect it to PC #1. Shut everything down, installed the DVI cable, booted up - and it works perfectly. Definitely worth what I paid on Amazon (almost half the full price at the time).

Purchased a Mac Mini. Needed a DVI cable.

My only local choices were Radio Shack and Circuit City.

RS had only one choice, a $105 dollar Monster Cable (6'). Pass

CC had only once option, a Belkin for $70. Bought, knowing that I wanted a cable immediately, but also figuring I'd find a cheaper one online. And find it I did, in less than 90 seconds.

Looking at my display (a ViewSonic N3200W 32" LCD TV/Monitor), I cannot tell the difference between the two. So.. Returned the $70 cable and am very happy paying only 15% as much, even including shipping (The cable came 2 days later, even without "expedited shipping").

So.. Great cable at a great price.
