Car Charger for Apple 3G iPhone, Black

The order stated free shipping and when I received my confirmation email I had been charged for shipping! I emailed the seller immediately and canceled the order. He shipped it anyway!! It doesn't even work. I am furious!! The thing is broken or something and he had to know this or he would have canceled my order when I requested so. Don't buy from this person!!!

Charger is not compatible with Otter box. I payed extra for 2 day shipping and it took 7 days to recieve!

I am in love with eforcity products. Very cheap and highly reliable.
I have been using this for about 6 months from now and it works no less than the power adapter.
iphone charges real quick in 30-50mins. I mostly use it while driving to work and I never ran out of charge, esp this 3G discharges real quickly.

Go get it and you wouldn't be disappointed.

Plugged it and it worked for 3 minutes. Also in that short time I noticed that you could not use the phone while it is plugged in, everything was slow and delayed. ( Weird) IDK but I guess this is one of those times you get what you pay for. I am now in the process of tying to make a return for the first time for something I bought in Amazon.com

You get what you pay for... This item was cheap and didn't even last 2 months!

The plug does not fit into the iPhone if it is housed in an Otter Box, making it difficult to use. That is a pain because then the screen gets fingerprints or specks of dust on it which makes it difficult to see the screen through the Otter Box cover. As a result, I rarely use the car charger unless I am prepared to dismantle the entire Otter Box.

I was just browsing for iPhone car chargers and bumped onto this product. Looking at the price tag, I just bought it. But when I started reading reviews , I was afraid as most of them suggested this took out the fuse in the car charging port.

But to my surprise, when my order arrived and I started using it, I have had no issues what so ever. It does charge my iphone and other things work as usual with the car charging port.

Maybe it was my bad, but I bought this for my 3gs and it doesn't do anything. No charging. Oh well, that's what I get for savin money I guess.

Disappointed because I purchased a Bushnell NEO golf GPS and insted of recieving the car charger for the NEO I recieved the Car Charger for Apple 3G iphone. Can't use it. Only paid a penney so it isn't worth postage to send it back. But I sure would like a car charger for my NEO.

I use this item several times a week. It's great though my old one from apple stretched farther. I keep this one plugged into my car console so I don't need it to stretch far at all so this one works great for me.

I have had this item since September, and it has worked just fine for my iPhone. I use it every day in my car, either on my way to work, or on my way home, or both.

After the very first time I used this charger, I arrived at work to find that my phone had not only not charged....but it had shut down and had to be rebooted. I do not know if this is just the particular charger I received...or if it is inherent to the model of charger being sold here. I would not trust the charger I received with my iphone again.

Once I got it out the box and hooked it up, it never worked after the first time.
Waste of money and is even more expensive to return it than keeping it.

Do not buy this charger, it is a piece of crap and does not work on the iPhone 3Gs. My husband and I tried unsuccessfully to use it with both of our phones, and in two different vehicles. However, I did give it one star because the sellers shipped it promptly. I recently emailed my complaint to them and am waiting for a response.

It always frustrated me to walk into an Apple store and see these selling for $50 or more. Come on, it's a plug. At a price that seems to fluctuate between $1-$2.50, I've probably bought a half dozen of these, all of which work. Some to give away, some to keep in different cars so I don't have to remember to switch, some in case they break. They're not as heavy as the Apple ones, but I'm not very careful with them, and none have broken yet. I left one in a rental care. So what, at the price of a candy bar, I didn't have to go through the aggravation of having to track it down and try to get it returned. It's got a little red LED that let's you know when it's plugged in, plenty long cord (that's self coiling to stay out of the way), and clicks cleanly into the iPhone and unclips, not causing damage to iPhone. You will have to pay separate shipping and handling, but has to be one of the best deals on Amazon right now.

This charger is worse than garbage. It fried my Iphone the first time I used it. I am done with cheap chargers. They are just not worth it. I replaced it with a belkin from the Apple store.

Charger never worked properly. Doesn't lock in to phone so you have to hold it the whole time so it will charge. Company told me I'd get a replacement...still waiting.

While the item works as advertised, and quite well in fact, the extremely short cord makes phone placement when connected somewhat of a problem. The charger itself connects snuggly and charges the phone very rapidly. But the cord is relatively short and is one fo those curled-up types. You must manually stretch it our for it to be of much use unless your phone mounts near the power port.

The Charger does charge but not with the Otterbox case. The plug is Square and cannot make the connection on the iPhone.
I used a dremel to enlarge the Otterbox Case so I could use the charger.

It charges my iPhone 3GS and my wife's iPhone 2G well. Just one thing - I realized that I don't need this after I got a FM transmitter for iPhone as it also charges the phone. Still, for $3 including shipping, it's a good-to-have backup. Note that those universal USB car chargers don't charge iPhones even with genuine iPhone charger/sync cable.

Do not waste your cents on this product i bought it on monday and tuesday it stopped working u have to swivel it around in the charging port of your phone to see if it'll start charging! needless to say i threw it out !

Good, basic, iphone car charger. Charges very fast. So fast, infact that the iphone gets quite hot if you leave it plugged in for too long. I don't know if this matters, but It might be best to charge it quickly and then immediatly unplug the iphone.

Although this is advertised for the 3G iPhone, it is recognized by the iPhone only some of the time. In a pinch, when the battery is low, it is good to have. It wasn't expensive, so I'm not terribly disappointed.

Read some reviews that this car charger did not work for some people, it works fine for me on my iPhone 3G. The plug into the phone is not as snug as my original charger but if you don't pull on it hard it stays in fine.

Does not charge the iphone well - seems to be barely keeping the battery above the critical charge and that is where it stays while 'supposedly' charging.

This charge does not fit my iPhone's charger, so how do I return and get a refund? Very annoying as I had no cell phone today on a long car trip.

I started to order this product on 9/12. The first one does not work so that I have to ask for exchange. The second one does not work either and I sent these two back to the seller and asked for exchange again. I got rejected and finally I got my money back on 10/7. It took me almost a month for just ordering a car charger for my iphone but failed...

I would give this iPhone charger 0 stars but the Amazon website only allows a minimum rating of 1 star. This iPhone car charger costs very little and is worth even less. DON'T BUY THIS! It did not charge my iPhone from day one. This company makes their money from the excessive shipping charges and so even a full refund on the defective charger is worthless. Don't fall for this Gimmicky Sales Ploy! This product should rate at less than a ZERO! Amazon please take note of this.

Product arrived earlier than I expected and performed up to specifications. Did what it was supposed to do very well for minimal cost. Great value.

This charger has blown fuses on 2 different cars. It worked once or twice in each car, but then I couldn't get any sort of power from it. I then found other items would not work in the cigarette lighter, so I checked the fuses and found the fuse blown in each vehicle.

This charger now has a special place in the bottom of my trash can.

This charger does not work on the iphones. It shuts it down and gets the phone hot.
You also get an error message on the phone that 'iphone does not support this charger'.

A little bit sticky to plug and unplug but it works great and it was a good price.

I ordered two of these for my husband and daugther who just purchased new iPhones. My husband uses his frequently and states it works very well. This is very handy for him out on a job site.

Junk, broke within 10 days of use. Spend the extra cash on a name brand.

With this product, you pay for what you get. It is a cheap product and works fine most of the time. There are times when my iPhone recognizes it as an unapproved device and won't charge it. You then have to unplug it and reconnect it. It usually will resume charging. I would probably look for a better charger next time.

Got mine on time, works with my 3G in all 3 of my cars. Charge is fast unlike non OEM mobile chargers for nokia/sony. Cant argue w price either!

The product says it's for an iPhone but when you plug it in, the iPhone (3GS) says the device is not compatible...

so far it has worked great... the only negative is that the cord is a little short, but that is a minor flaw

It worked for about 2 days before it stopped working and blows my cigarette lighter fuse everytime it's plugged in.

I drive fairly moderately, so having a car charger really extended the usability of my iPhone. I charge my iPhone in my car probably 40-50% of the time. I bought this charger over 6 months ago and it's still going strong.

I received one with a thin, puny retractable cord. It's lightweight and works just fine, so I'll be keeping it. It's just not what I expected. Yeah, it was this item..

My expectations were low... just needed a device to charge my phone on a cross country trip for a few days... so didn't feel like paying $20 or more for an "official" charger. This device exceeded my expectations. I had to take my iPhone 3G out of its Otterbox case because the jack is a little wider than the Apple jack but then it fit and charged just fine. But before I discovered this I had complained about getting the wrong item and PC Microstore contacted me by phone then sent out a replacement that arrived 2 days later. That really is going above and beyond!
