[+] 10.0 Little Gem
The ribbons are for the Casio Disc Title Printer CW-50.

It is the little title printer that could. I have been using the product in our video business for at least 5 years and it functions flawlessly.

It is not a speed demon for disc title reproduction, but for the half dozen or so that I need to make at a time, it does the job.

It would be great if the device allowed you to use the entire disc surface for printing, but this was not an expensive machine and thus you have to accept the limitations.

It is perfect for simple, professional looking titles that a business can be proud of.

[+] 6.0 Picture Confusion
Please be careful ordering this. The pictures led me to believe I was buying a 3-pak. It's for one ribbon only!!!

[+] 10.0 Casio Disc Title Printer Ribbon A Must
If you own one of Casio's Disc Title Printers (my latest is the K85) you need this or you arent printing anything. These are sold for abot $20/3 pack or individually. I have found that I get about 40 titles per cartridge. Colors are black, red, green, blue.

[+] 10.0 Ho-Ho-Ho Ink!
Using my Casio CW-75 Disc Title printer is a must, especially for the holidays but not much fun when you run out of ink. Was not sure if this was the right cartridge but Amazon, with explicit details, made it easy and now I am back in business and ready for the holidays. Thanks!

[+] 10.0 Great Product
I've been using these tapes to label cds and dvds for two years now. The quality is consistent and i've had only 1 defective ribbon out of 250. The pricing at Amazon is reasonable at 3 for $19.99 or $6.99 each.

[+] 4.0 Bad Investment...
Looking to print on CDs? These worked decent but in the long run, it is better to invest in a Canon Printer that will print on CDs. Yes! Unfortunately due to Epson's patent, Canon disabled their printing tray in the U.S. Market. But you can easily purchase a printing tray off ebay and get it to work. I own a Canon MP500 with print tray D and it works great. Pictures/Text/Full Color... the result looks amazing. The Casio ribbons will print about 20 Discs or so before it runs out of tape! That is very short... The Canon printer will do atleast 500 Discs before it runs out of ink. The ratio is 7:20 (35 cents per disc print w/ text only) vs. 50:500 (10 cents per disc print w/ full color text/pictures).

[+] 6.0 Just like an Inkjet. You pay for it in the cartridges.
Good product but only prints on "shiny" DVD/CD's not those made for printers. Much better deal when you buy 3 at a time.

[+] 8.0 Not quite professional quality, but good enough for personal use
These ribbons are quite good. The printing is crisp, and they are very easy to use. They are great for how I use them, just labeling DVDs of my kids' movies.

Note, though, that the description is a little incomplete. From the box it says they work with all CW series title printers (not just CW-50 and CW-75, as mentioned here). I have the CW-100, and they work just fine.

Two words of caution:

1. These thermal printers require a *very* smooth surface, preferably a completely bare CD/DVD. I learned the hard way by trying it on inkjet-writable DVDs that have a rougher surface...it just leaves a light shadow of the intended text.

2. Don't expect these these to perform like professional-grade CD/DVD printers. They work best only for standard, monochrome (single color) text. Custom fonts and images won't turn out well, especially larger text/images. (That leaves horizontal streaks--I think it's from where the ribbon overlaps itself when making subsequent passes.)

[+] 10.0 Casio TR-18Black Ribbon

[+] 6.0 Prints on smooth disks only
Won't print on rough surfaces (ink printable). I knew this ahead of time, but I got a deal on 1000 Verbatim 4x white printable and wish I could use this on them. Taiyo-Yuden silvertops are the best made, and this printer works great on them.

I get about 50 prints out of this using the keyboard (CW-75) and never trying the software. I bought this for $3.99 from an Amazon seller for black. Ive seen 3-packs in the store for over $20 which I would never pay.

If I hadnt found a ribbon here for $4, my Casio would still be sitting in its box. Get with the times, Casio, you already got us on the $99+ cost of the product which has a short lifespan, give us a break on the refills!

Okay, I love your printer, but Casio, can't you give us more for our money on the ribbons?

[+] 10.0 Good Product, Good Price
Most printer companies make their money on supplies and Casio is no different, but it sure is nice to know you can save a few green backs when you buy from Amazon.

[+] 6.0 Overpriced "hook"
What you save on the CW50 you lose on the ribbons. The ribbons are about 10.00 which makes it imperative to find the absolutely lowest price. My CW50 broke down. It's under warranty so I sent it back. It ruined a ribbon in the process. A lot of websites say it's good for 50 prints. However, the back of the single pack says it's good for 40 prints. I was mislead. The price of the ribbons should be 3.99-5.99. I have been constantly complaining to Casio to get the prices down. You should not buy them if over 6.99 (I've found them at that price)
