Celtic Thunder

Having seen the Celtic Thunder on PBS I had to have this CD. It is powerful and leaves you wanting more.

I watched this on TV, bought the DVD and the CD to take it with me while on the road. Guess you can tell I love the music and enjoy every minute while listening to these wonderful singers.

Celtic ThunderAbsolutely beautiful. This is the first time I've listened to this group, and now I'm definely a fan.

In A Word - Fantastic. I Waited To Buy This Cd Till After The Act Two Cd Came Out Just So I Could Have Them Both At The Same Time. Now All We Need Is A Truly Christmas Album.

I was amazed of the different background of the group and what beautiful music they make together...

It's unusual to find music that appeals to all ages and musical tastes, this group does just that. My 13 year old gets stars in her eyes when she hears the music, our young adult friends express the "tingles" the music brings... as for me and my husband it is simply achingly beautiful. If you are a fan of Celtic Woman- this is the testosterone side of the genre'. Beautiful, haunting and yes-- it has good looking young men singing! (teen girls love that part!)

I didn't see the PBS show, but heard it was good. Based on the success and quality of the "Celtic Woman" shows, both PBS and live, I could not wait to see "Celtic Thunder" in Atlantic City this past weekend. I can not say enough how disappointed I was with the show and both of these CDs. While the musical and vocal talents of the cast were terrific, it should not be billed as "Celtic" anything. There were a handful of Celtic and Celtic sounding songs, but the majority of songs simply did not fit - chosen to showcase each individual singer rather than stick to the theme many, if not most, came to see and hear. "Puppy Love"? "Young Love"? "Desperado"? "I Wanna Know What Love Is"? Are you kidding me?? The song "My Boy" is so depressing I wanted to shoot myself! There were moments of brilliance, such as "Caledonia" and "Ireland's Call", as well as "Mull of Kintyre". As much as I loved to hear "Nights in White Satin", it didn't belong in this show. Even "Celtic Woman" does popular songs, but they stick to the sound and theme which is supposed to be Celtic. Only three songs featured the percussion that could be classified as "thunder", only one song featured Irish dancing, and the show didn't come to life until the very last song. I'm sorry, but this collection of music is nothing more than a variety show.

I got this CD at the suggestion of a friend (without hearing it first.) I absolutely love it!

Purchased these CDs for my Mom who absolutely loves this group. She gives them as gifts for birthdays because she wants everyone to enjoy their music.

I really enjoyed the DVD of this group. This CD includes about half the songs from the DVD. A lot of variety, high quality singing. The CD was delivered quickly. I have enjoyed it and will continue to do so.

I saw C.T. on Oct. 6th in Boston and again on Oct. 26th in Manchester and I wanted so to see them again on Oct. 28th but thought my family would have me committed. They are exceptional talents the likes of which I have not heard or seen in a long time. May their careers blossom and grow whether individually or as C.T. I hope to see them next year. The song about the WW1 Christmas truce is beautiful. God bless all of you on the remainder of your tour and beyond.

I AM GOING TO BUY MORE OF THESE FANTASTIC SINGERS. THEY ARE REALLY WORTH LISTENING TO.

Saw these guys on PBS last night - which is where I discovered Celtic Woman. I love both bands and was pretty excited to find this CD available on Amazon for download. (I was very impressed with Amazon's MP3 quality by the way.) All of the songs are pretty true to how they were performed in the concert, and are all excellent. I was pretty disappointed to find that two of my favorite songs from the concert - Caledonia and Ride On - weren't included in this CD release. The rest of the album is nice though, and is a nice escape from some of the trash that passes as music today. If you like these guys, check out Celtic Woman.

If you are searching for the true spirit of the Celtic way...this is a must have.Even if there isn't any Celtic blood running through your veins it won't matter because the spirit will run there anyway.Great vocal group,sure would like to see them in person one day.Celtic Thunder

This is a CD that will get played over and over, it is so enjoyable! Can't wait for their concert at the Bank Atlantic Centre on Nov 11th, 2008.

Gr8 import of voices. Only purchasing the DVD of Celtic Thunder could enhance your listening experience, which has more vocal selections than the CD.

This is a great cd! If you can catch the show, by all means go and see it! There is also another cd which has the other half of the songs from the show.

These 5 men are awesome. They blend extremely well as a group and are fantastic as solo artists too. I can't wait to see them in concert.

Celtic Thunder - I watched in on PBS and fell in love with the music and the performance. Some people say that this is not the original group, I don't know and I don't care. I like it so much that I ordered both, the DVD and CD and play it very often - in my car and at home.

I really loved the DVD and have the CD in my car. I have been telling everyone how great it is.

My mother and I caught their concert on PBS. They had such beautiful voices and she enjoyed it so much, I immediately searched to see if the
CD was available. I ordered right away and it arrived in 2-3 days. We took it on a road trip and before long, we were singing along. It's that kind of music!

Celtic Thunder: The Show
I saw this group on CPTV. I just fell in love with them. I listen to the CD on my way to work everyday. I just can't get enough of it. I put the video on when I'm working on my computer which is almost always. They are just great. What I like the most is that there is a story with each song - just beautiful. They all have beautiful voices. I want so much to see them in person in our area (Connecticut).

These guys can really sing. This album is well produced and the music is great. There is also a video which is really entertaining as well. It's refreshing and different, sets a great mood.

Wonderful CD! A lot of variety in content. Each voice featured nicely. I would have enjoyed a few more songs with all singing together instead of so many solos, but this was great, too.

You'll love both the CD and DVD of Celtic Thunder. Music is a mix of known favorites and new ones. Each of the 5 singers has a distinct style. Great listening and viewing.

I watched the PBS special on Celtic Thunder and fell in love. I decided to order their CD after a month of going on-line and listening to snipets of songs. I am so glad I ordered it and received it this week. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to swoon over the music and want to listen over and over again to amazing voices.

I was very impressed with this find CD. It captures the PBC special of some weeks ago very well. The sound quality is so much better than the mass produced CDs these days. Send me more!

The show is very entertaining, and the five tenors sing some of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard... lots of tunes that stick with you! I'm looking forward to catching a performance during their U.S. Tour.

Is it possible to wear out a CD? ... better get two! Keep an eye on these guys, I'm betting they're coming back for round two. I'll be the first one to get that CD or die.

Speaking of eyes - get the DVD! If you get DVDs for the purpose of being purely entertained, Celtic Thunder does that to the max! To merely say they're extremely talented and versatile would almost do them a disservice, they're all that and more.

Product warning label: These are 5 conspicously handsome guys! Have your support group near. If there's an 800 number for a hotline for those instantly smitten by a blond Celtic angel fallen directly from heaven, have mercy and get it to me without delay. It may already be too late...

I think this is just the greatest CD. I have seen them on TV and watched then every time. I also have the DVD but haven't had time to watch it yet but I bet its just great.

Celtic Thunder appeals to every generation. I can't find anything not to love about their music, their performances, and the personalities that are revealed through their performances. They are simply wonderful. My boyfriend, his 18-year old son, my father, and I have played their performances repeatedly over the past several months and we still want to hear more of them. We are all looking so forward to seeing them in concert. Excellent group!

My wife and I love this CD. The songs are incredible and we can't wait to go see Celtic Thunder in Concert. The only reason I did not give this CD all 5 stars is because it does not have all the songs on it that are in the concert. That's not a huge problem but would have been nice to know the song list before hand. Still a great CD and a great group.

I don't care what anyone says, this is a wonderful show!! We will be going when they come to Seattle.

Yes, many people are disappointed in the song selection on this CD, myself included. I only love about half of the songs on this CD - isn't that pretty much the case with any album? These men are so talented that even some of the not-so-hot songs they sing in their show shine with their incredible voices.

Even though I'm not crazy about all the songs on this CD, it is time and time again the CD I choose to listen to.

Not all the music on the CD is Celtic, but the singers are.

This was a disappointment, the music did not reflect the same quality of performance as did the PBS special or any other I had heard. In addition the CD was flawed and skipped. Unfortunately I sent the CD to friend of mine and do not have the advantage of retrieving it for return.
I would not recommend this CD maybe another selection with more tradition music would have been a better selection.

I love this group, I can't wait to see them in concert. If you like celtic music, if you like Irish/Scott male voices lifted in song, if you love the sounds of drums and bag pipes, then you will love this CD.

I cannot believe these guys - what harmony - what abilities. It doesn't take long to recognize every one's separate voice, and they blend so well.

Well first off im sad to see Phil Coulter getting involved in such an overproduced mess. Secondly, if I wanted to hear a country song (Desperado) I'd listen to Johnny Cash, and if I wanted Dire Straits I'd listen to Dire Straits. The huge number of covers on this album shows you what it is, its not a band but a cover group. Why all the hype, you can see this kind of act in any bar, this one just has a higher production budget and a kid.

I bought the CD & the DVD. Their selection of music couldn't be better. Their voices are all different, but each one has an outstanding voice. I bought the DVD because too, because their charming presentations equal the wonderful music.

I purchased the CD because I had seen the Celtic Thunder video on TX PBS. I loved the video and the music and wanted to be able to hear the music in my car...Bought the CD, loved the music! They are an excellent pool of talent...Love the blond surfer guy and love the kid...How that kind of music comes out of them is beyond me...Amazing! Super talented! Highly recommend the CD and of course the DVD of their performances!

This is a terrific cd of the PBS concert, however it doesn't have all of the songs from the PBS concert. I miss the six or seven songs that were left off, but over all still a terrific CD!!!! LOVE IT!!!

Celtic Thunder is a wonderful group of singers, each one complimenting the others. They perform a wide variety of songs in a truly amazing fashion. Their performance on their DVD is spectacular and the extent of their skills is overwhelming. I could not recommend Celtic Thunder any higher.

This product was a bit disappointing as it will not work in my vehicle cd player. It will work in my computer so I can up-load it onto that but I wanted it for my vehicle also. Music is awesome!!!

I really love this group, especially Damian , he has such a big voice for one that is only 14 years old. The talent of the other four men are also great. I bought the dvd and the cd so I can listen to them all the time. I can't think of a song I don't like on the album. But I ordered another cd of Celtic Thunder, not the same group at all, it was from New York and boy was I disappointed. I played it once and probably not ever again. I can hardly wait until more cd's and dvd's come out from the true Irish group. I'll be waiting eagerly for it.

I bought both the DVD and CD (the DVD has rougly 10 more songs. I just can't get enough of their warm songs and outstanding voices. Great buy!
Don't listen to those reviees saying they ey are not the real Celtic...blah blah..As long as it ishigh quality and well put together, it's a good buy! (And you can enjoy over and over....)

This is one of the best DVDs we've seen this year. The songs are beautiful and varied, solo and ensemble pieces, highlighitng each singer's special style. We loved every minute of it!

I have played this album on my car radio daily for three weeks and am still not tired of it!

Celtic Thunder: The Show

This is a powerful display of music and staging in the show DVD. What I ordered, and received was most of the music from the show. Still excellent, a few of the memorable songs from the DVD were not included.

This is an awesome song collection which makes me want to have everything they have ever recorded. It is like an addiction; I have to listen to it each morning and some of the voices are extraordinary. Now I would like to see them in person. The collection of songs are charming, haunting, and makes one nostalgic. je
