It does what it's designed to do
I bought this to hook up a table top grill to a large propane tank. It works like a charm.

high price..BUT high QUALITY
its VERY well made and although its costly at 25 bux, i have to say for what it allows you to do (use a standard tank with a camping stove) its worth it in the long run

Works as expected
Was very easy to hook-up and loved the length of the hose. Will definitely save you money not having to purchase the small tanks.
Works as advertised and the length is great to keep the bottle away from the grill and out of the way. I have used it on a SS Pro for the last 3 months with no problems.

Helps you save money/more convinient
Excellent product, well built, and easy to install. You will save money being able to use a 10 pound or bigger tank instead of the throw away little green cylinders. This definitely a green product.

Grilling is back on
I do not have a coleman grill, however right after I purchased my grill, our local retailer was unable to get the small canisters of propane. After months of not grilling, I finally ordered this hose and have been in grilling bliss ever since.

Well made hose!!
This thing is nicely designed and built. Just to emphasize what others have already said - it connects the 20 pound propane tank to the regulator on the stove. *It does not connect directly to the stove - you still need a regulator!* The regulators on the newer stoves are on metal tubes with 45 degree angles, the regulators on the older stoves are on rubber tubes.
It makes so much more sense to use a refillable big propane tank than to dump those little empties in the land fill.

works well; possible to overtighten
In general this worked great on our 5-week road trip - easy to attach, no little cylinders to buy and then wastefully throw away. Easy to use, with the one caveat that it is easy to overtighten the end that connects to the tank. When this happens, closing the valve on the tank will not stop the flow of propane to the stove. We found that about 1 in 4 times we used it, we had to slightly loosen that connector after closing the valve, so that the valve could properly seal, the burners would gradually sputter out and leave the hose empty before full disconnection. Odd but not a serious problem as long as you don't disconnect the stove end first.
Not only ECONOMICAL but very ECOLOGICAL... who wants to get Back to Nature and leave the landfill full of those little green bottles?? The disposables last a very sort time and don't have the high pressure of the large tanks, so go ahead, do yourself and the planet and favor and get the adaptor with a full-size tank. Should be a STANDARD option on every Coleman grill.

Exactly what the Coleman Road Trip Grill needed for the big tank
I purchased this hose and adapter for my Coleman Road Trip Pro Grill SS, so that I could hook it to 20-gallon propane tanks. I had read that the attachment could be tricky, so my mechanically adept husband did the work of putting it together. He said the only thing he found tricky about it was the thread reversal; instead of the usual "righty tighty, lefty loosie" (right to tighten, left to loosen), he found that it was right to loosen and left to tighten. Otherwise, it is perfect for using the 20-gallon propane tank with the Coleman Road Trip grill. (The grill is portable, so is set up to only take the small camping-type propane tanks. One will need this hose and adapter for larger propane tanks.) The materials are durable heavy-duty, including the hose, which is long enough, as well.

Just the perfect fit and function
THIS IS A FABULOUS ADD ON FOR ANY GAS GRILL PURCHASED TO USE WITH A SMALL BOTTLE OF PROPANE, IT IS VERY EASY TO FIT INTO ANY LARGE OR SMALL PROPANE TANK BECAUSE OF THE HANDLE. THE PART THAT FITS TO THE GRILL NEEDS TO BE VERY TIGHT THOUGH, IF YOU DON'T TIGHTEN IT VERY WELL THE GAS WILL NOT FLOW INTO GRILL, TAKE THIS IN CONSIDERATION IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET FRUSTRATED WHEN INSTALLING IT.
This was exactly what I was looking for. I have a Coleman stove/grill combo and this adaptor connects perfectly to the big propane gas tank. Small tanks are portable, but for longer usage this adaptor really helps.
To help understand, Amazon should show an image connecting the stove's L-shaped metal connector to the adaptor cable, and would help future buyers a lot (I mean the pic which is on the product manual)

Save those little tanks
Bought this for my table top heater. Normally a 1 gallon tank would last 2-3 hours, which is fine for a night event but after 5-10 days $$$ adds up. Now I can hook my backup propane tank on my grill and heat away all night long without any worries. This think pays for itself in a matter of days. Now I just wish I could use it more often here in AZ. P.S. I regret paying for upgraded shipping since I found out that the distribution warehouse is local.
I purchased this to hook up a standard propane tank to a tabletop heater, which would normally use a baby propane tank.
Works great, no propblems or complaints.
Much better throughput than the smaller tanks.
Cheers,
Kimball Morgan
Not much to review here. Only thing it does is let you use a full size propane tank with grills that use the smaller portable propane tanks.
It works, and is long enough to reach.
This is what I needed and seems to be good quality. Minus one star because the price is so high.
It was hard to tell from the description (here at Amazon and other web sites) if the connectors on this hose were correct for my needs and how it attaches. I ordered it anyway and luckily it is what I needed to connect a propane tank (the type that is normally used for an outdoor grill) to my 25-year old 2-burner Coleman camp stove. One end of this hose has the same connector you find at the top of the small 16oz Coleman propane cylinders -- so it attaches to the metal tube connector that normally goes between a 16oz cylinder and the stove. The other end of this hose attaches to larger propane tanks like the new one I just bought. I don't know what a 20# tank is, but mine is like 3 gallons in size -- the usual kind that people use for outdoor grills. I found out, however, that it does not fit the quick-release connection that I have on a different propane tank that came with my Weber grill. I'll have to see if there's a (quick release) adapter available so that I can use this hose with that other propane tank also.

pricey, but essential
Want to use a tank larger than a pound? Then you need this!
It's a quality part, and will pay for itself after the second 20# tank of propane!
