Product Specifications

Turn your Coleman Road Trip grill or campfire stove grate into a portable diner with this Coleman cast-iron griddle. Made of heavy-duty, porcelain-coated cast iron, the griddle is easy to clean and long lasting. More importantly, the griddle opens up a world of menu options for your camping trip, including pancakes, fried eggs, bacon, omelets, grilled cheese sandwiches, and more. The griddle--which is compatible with Coleman 9941 and 9949 Road Trip grills--measures approximately 12 by 12 inches and weighs 7 pounds. The griddle is not compatible with Coleman's 9928 Road Trip Pro Series grills.

About Coleman
More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark.

In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

[+] 8.0 Grilling addition to camping experience!
Purchased this grill to go with our Roadtrip Grill experience. I agree with other reviews, it's a MUST to accompany your Coleman grill. The only "wish" I have is that it was open castiron vs. the porcelin coating. Cleanup is still easy, I'm just old fashioned and like seasoning my own cookware. The jury is still out on the grease slots. Like any clean up, it'll take some getting used to. Would have given a '5' if it was open castiron. Still a "grate" accessory to camping! :-)

[+] 10.0 great cast iron griddle
This is a nice heavy duty griddle. Easy to clean and cook on. Way nicer than the standard aluminum griddle that sometimes comes with the grill.

[+] 10.0 They really got it right with this grilling system
We love the grill, the griddles, and all other accessories. The half side griddle is great for the bacon or pancakes. The drainage is smart. The solid sturdy construction is refreshing. This is a no brainer.

[+] 8.0 Great Grill!
Very useful - we cooked everything on it! It worked really well as we had to cook a variety of foods and could easily change out the burners quickly and use this to cook on and keep food warm simultaneously. A must have in our book!

[+] 10.0 Coleman Road Trip Griddle
Great product. I have bar-b-queued for over 30 years and never had a griddle. Love this thing and should have done it long ago. Easy to clean and store.

[+] 10.0 Great for camping!
This is a terrific addition to the grill. We've used it for pancakes and fried eggs when camping. It's also great for smaller foods that might slip thru the grill like vegetables or other foods you might want to saute. We also use it for greasy foods just because it makes for quicker clean up.

[+] 10.0 Much better than aluminum with non-stick coating
I love cast iron. It won't leave bits of non stick coating in your food. It distributes the heat very well, and cleans up with little effort. It is very heavy, but well worth the extra carrrying weight.

[+] 10.0 Great Edition
Perfect edition for your coleman Bar-B-Que.
We used it daily when camping through the summer. Was able to keep the trailer cool during warm weather by cooking outdoors. It heats up so hot and evenly allows cooking quickly. When frying eggs, pancakes and the like- make sure your as level as possible so it doesn't all drip down into the fat catcher.
Bought this and the stove grate and could cook every meal outdoors!

[+] 6.0 OK, but the stove grate is better
This works fairly well except that if your grill isn't very level then the slots/vents on the edges can "swallow" what you're cooking. We've found that in most cases it's better to use the stove grate accessory with a pan on top of that. Don't even think of cooking bacon on it (all the grease will run to the openings and give you a fire, we've used it for toasting bagels or warming up other items. Overall it's good, but not great.

[+] 10.0 An accidentally discovered treasure
This is excellent for cooking on the road or at the campsite, either using propane or wood or charcoal. I stumbled across it accidentally -- my wife told me she wanted a good "traveling girdle," and I wasn't listening too well... and when I got to the store, I told them I needed a good "traveling griddle." But everything worked out just great.

[+] 10.0 great product and service

[+] 8.0 Great accessory
I really love the accessories we have purchased for our road trip grill. Like the others this item is really well made and HEAVY duty. It is cast iron with an enamel coating. While I love that it will not rust I wish it had a non-stick finish because clean up while camping and attending festivals out in the woods is not very easy. That is the only reason I did not give this item 5 stars.

[+] 10.0 Coleman Still The Best
Great Product -- Great Price. Cast iron still tops in even heat distribution and long term wear.
