Dirt Devil Filter, for Extreme Power Stick Vacuum (2 filters)

I was so pleased to find these filters on Amazon. They stand up to long use, are able to be cleaned several times before needing to be discarded and are very economical.

What can I say, it's a vacuum filter. The vacuum it goes with does a great job.

I really like this vaccum. One review I read said they found it really loud I don't think that is true at all it is no louder than any vaccum I have ever used and it picks up the lint and everything better than my big vaccum does and it is very light and easy to use on the stairs.

You need them, so buy them when you buy the stick vac.... we saved on their cost and it was included in the free shipping of our stick vac.

I purchased a dirt devil M084100 stick sweeper. It was suggested that others bought these filters as well while purchasing the sweeper. I thought this was a good idea, so agreed to purchase them. They were only $5 or $6 so it made sense to buy and ship these under the same order. BE CAREFUL to read the suggested product, in my case the filters that I ordered do not come close to being the correct ones for my vacuum. Make sure you don't take for granted that the selected products are correct, I made this mistake. I'm sure this product will work fine, but I will not be able to use it to know for sure. The filters will probably be scrapped because it will cost me more to return them than they are worth. Save yourself $5 or $6 and make sure you get the right filters.

We bought this as an alternative to our upright Hoover vacuum which we couldn't use in this house since it is too heavy for the soft hardwood floors and scratches them. We live in a small house (950 sqft) and have 4 cats and a toddler and bought this mainly to pick up cat hair and cat litter.

Pros:
* lightweight (does not scratch soft hardwood floors) and flexible
* quiet
* cordless
* not very expensive
* easy to use and maintain
* nice design

Cons:
* mediocre suction (frequently loses stuff, esp. cat litter)
* pet hair gets trapped in the brush and the wheels (very annoying!!!)
* requires frequent emptying
* rapid decline of suction power
* does not clean well in corners

Before we had this, I used an old-fashioned broom to sweep the floors and it didn't take me that much longer to clean the house. I wouldn't buy this again.

This is an awesome, lightweight vacuum with exceptional suction power for hardwood, tile and carpets. I'm very pleased with it so far and I've had it about a month with no problems, in my opinion this is worth every penny!

Does the job, easy to use and a must for the Dirt Devil Extreme power stick vacuum.

Purchased at same time as Dirt Devil cordless vac to save on shipping and handling later. Now when I need them I will have them, if I can remember where I put them!

This was a waste of money for me.

I bought this since it's the 14.4v and I figured of all of the stick vacs, it would have the best pickup, and it DOES. However, I've found that you have to be extremely proactive for it to work at maximum effiency.

The previous reviewer stated she cleans the "dust bin" after each use. You have to do that, plus I:
1. Clean the disposable filter, the one they sell replacements for
2. Clean the permanent filter. This one gets REALLY dusty and when it does it really effects the pickup.

You can just clean them by shaking them out, but I've cleaned the permanant filter in my sink using a dish brush. Let it dry and it's good as new :-)

With this kind of care I have no problem with this being my only upright vacuum in an 1100 sq ft house w/ 2 people & 2 cats. I love the cordless freedom, it makes it worth all this cleaning business!

After reading all the reviews, I wasn't sure this product was what I wanted. After using it, I am thrilled that it is light, easy to use, CORDLESS, and picks up a bunch of cat hair and dirt every time I use it. I empty the dirt catcher everytime I use the vacuum because I want to see how well it picked up. I am always impressed. This is a terrific little stick vac. I am really pleased with my purchase.
