Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power™ Hand Vac

Just bought this 2 weeks ago and it works great around the house. Very handy for new kittens litter that ends up on the floor. I also like the flip crevice tool- perfect for cars and getting those hard to reach areas. Holds its full power for 7-10 minutes. I am happy with my choice.

I didn't want to buy this because I figured the "Extreme" label was just a sales ploy with lots of graphics. Turns out this is a darn good vac with a lot of suction power. The front is a bit odd in that you need to hold the unit at a very sharp angle for the hole to be level with the floor but not a big deal for small cleanup jobs.

It has lasted me about a year of almost daily use before I now need to replace the filter. I'd recommend this unit to my friends.

I have had several hand-held vacs that supposedly picked up everything. THIS ONE DOES! It is perfect for getting up stray cat litter and as a quick clean instead of lugging out the big vacuum. I find it holds the charge for a long time, enough to go around my multi-level house. Yesterday I tried it on a 1" thick tufted rug and it picked up almost all the cat hair, using the brush extended. Not true that you can't clean the filter---I took it out, got cat hair, etc. off, and then rinsed it. After it dried I put it back in. Still works perfectly. I am now purchasing a second one to keep on the lower level. For the price this is well worth it. Can't recommend it enough.

I actually bought this for a friend. I was so impressed with its cleaning power that I told him he had to have one. It is easy to use. Charges well and has good battery time. Easy to clean.

The dirt devil is just what we've been looking for. Versatile, easy to use and actually holds it's charge!

i bought this for the quick clean ups that always occur with little kids. It is just right for the task and I use it almost on a daily basis. A bit on the heavy side and a little noisy, but great power, pick up. The flip handle seems a little flimsy but is holding up well. Great little hand vac.

I am giving it 4 stars because I have had it for less than a month. So far this little vacuum has been a good investment. I use it only for crumbs, sofas, cars and any small clean up between vacuuming. This little machine works really well for all that. This strong vacuum makes clean up easy. It was definitely a good purchase.

This vacuum has more suction than any cordless I have ever used. It is even better than some small corded vacuums I've used in the past. I'd recommend this vac to anyone.

I've had Dirt Devil handvacs before but not a cordless. The old one last forever before it finally died. I thought I'd give the cordless a try this time since it's handier not having to deal with the cord. The reviews said it was powerful, and it is! I also like the way the nozzle flips out, instead of being detached. I'm quite satisfied with this unit.

The filter becomes clogged after 2 uses. It is never the same, hard to clean, faces the wrong way for optimal cleaning. More trouble than it is worth.

Works well without crevice tool. If that is flipped out and extended, suction is not that good. The tool is not lengthy enough to reach out in between car seats and door.

IT does the job of picking up small quantities of "dirt" and that is why I bought it.

I've shared with others from word to Facebook that this handvac is awesome. I'm not one to be impressed with household items, but with my 18 month boy... enough said!! It has the power I've been looking for and I'll tell you this, I have bought hand vacs from Target multiple times and returned them back because I was not satisfied with the power, and for the price the convenience and the quality, I give this bad boy a 5 STAR rating because of it. Hey, I loved it so much, I got it hanging on my wall in the kitchen ready for any mess!

This replaced a Black & Decker an old dustbuster w/ 2 3.6V batteries whose batteries wouldn't hold a charge and the replacement cost was more than the price of the Dirt Devil. At any rate this has great suction and will go for quite a while on a charge.
Only gave it 4 stars because I thought the price a bit high, however, I am ordering a 2nd one today to replace another worn out B&D

The only thing Extreme about this machine is the amount of noise it makes compare to how much suction it creates. It picks up some lighter things if it has been charging for a few days then rapidly loses power after just a minute or so of use. It takes forever to recharge. I usually give up using it and just go get our 7 year old Black and Decker Dust Buster that is much more powerful than this. If you leave it off the charger for a day, it will lose it's charge. I've exchanged it thinking I just got a bad one, but the new one was just as weak. I can't believe I wasted my money on this. It is the last Dirt Devil product I will ever buy!

At first I thought the Dirt Devil made too much noise and sucked too much and blew out too much air. And my dogs were afraid of it. But after a while I got used to the vacuum's power. Now I love it. And my dogs don't even move when I'm vacuuming.

I've had one of these for over TWO YEARS, and use it on a daily basis (granted, only a min or 2 at a time) and it has =never= missed a beat! Not even once!!! The battery also seems STRONG & never causes the motor to labor or run slow! Maybe that's because the vac is =constantly= stored in the charging unit!

All I did was read the 1 & 2 star reviews and I could see a perfect example of the 'typical' "2009 United States resident" [sad FACT]. I'm surprised I saw no one complaining that this item couldn't ''read their mind'' and *automaticlly* "Go-Use-Itself-Where-They-Wanted-It-Used-And-Then-Hang-Itself-Back-Up-And-Don't-Bother-Me"!!!

And for these people who complain that the vac falls off the charging unit -- I suggest they find a friend or relative or contractor who knows what a ''Level'' is and how to use & read it properly, then check the same mounting surface (wall, etc) that they have the charging unit mounted on for being PLUMB!! That person had better "KNOW" what *plumb* means!! If not, ask Someone-ELSE and don't listen to all their excuses =trying to _cover-up_ their ignorance=, like "it depends on what we're talking about". I've heard it ALL!!!!

The point is maybe the soil that your home's foundation is built on - has 'settled' over the years. So when the house was -Originally- BUILT Brand New, the foundation was "Level" and every wall inside WAS "Plumb", but if the soil underneath the foundation has settled over time, the OPPOSITE is now ((SADLY)) True! Warning signs 'could' be water that does not easily run off patios or sidewalks, but it USED-TO! Also inside doors that swing open or closed All-By-Themselves! A simple review like this from someone who FACTUALLY-*KNOWS*-WHAT-HE'S-TALKING-ABOUT is _NOT_ looking for pats on the back or ANYTHING =except= Public Awareness and may also prompt some brain activity & perhaps a few "For Sale" signs in front yards. This vacuum cleaner is a replacement for the one I had for 5 years until the batteries died. It has a lot of power specially when you use the quick flip nozzle. I was very satisfied with the old one that is why I bought this one.

What a great and powerful product for the money. This is the 2nd one I have ordered and used. Not only do I use it indoors, but I also purchased it for vacuuming the car due to its powerful suction and built in quick flip down crevis tool for getting in the corners. My last one died after 2 - 3 years probably due to my negligence (per the instructions) of not letting it discharge monthly and recharge. It is also easy to open up to clean out what has been sucked up. Hope you find this helpful. God bless.

I have had one of these for 3 years now and use it several times daily. It is powerful, easy to clean, and very convenient to use. I am amazed at some of the comments I have seen in the critical reviews. The filter is easy to clean, doesn't tend to clog even when loaded, and has never had to be replaced. Mine is always on charge, yet the battery doesn't seem to have a memory, and still runs the vac almost as long as it did when it was brand new... plenty of time for household chores. Oh, and be realistic about your expectations with any handheld. They aren't meant to replace a conventional vacuum for doing rugs etc. I remain very pleased.

Dirt Devil M0914 Extreme Power Quick-Flip Rechargeable Handheld Vacuum Cleaner

This replaced a small Dustbuster and what I like best is that it's able to be used for a longer period of time without loosing the ability to suction. I can usually get up all the areas that I want to clean without having to put it back in the charger. The only think that I don't like , so far, is that it vents out the side and sometimes it's blowing out in my face. It's not quiet, but not so lout that it is annoying. I would recommend this product.

well made, mostly metal, I use it to clean up small areas, was hoping it would have power enough for the car, but not really.

I have beams in the house and wanted it to clean them, but as they are in the kitchen and grease goes there, it doesn't do that either.

This is a good vacuum, but I would have liked something a little more light weight with a bit more suction. It's pretty good though, that's why it got 4 stars. I thought having the name extreme, it would have extreme suction - but just pretty good suction instead.

Small cordless vacuum is powerful, well-balanced, and seems to hold a charge well. Excellent design has built-in crevice tool. This vacuum is well worth the price. Great for quick clean-ups in the car without dragging out a cord.

This is one of the better hand vacs...it has pretty good pick up. It has an attached crevice tool which is nice but you need to be careful when using it so that it does not break off.

Unlike the previous portable vacuum I had, this one pulls strongly and really sucks dirt and debris well. A particular feature is has is the small extended tube that can be flipped down to get to hard to reach places. It's now functional for cars, where the other models don't have the vacuum strength to be effective.

Bought this rechargeable hand vac to give as a gift for Christmas this year. We have one of our own (second one we have had) and like it so much because of the attached nozzle and that it is so handy to use.

For about $40.00 a year to replace? That is up to you to decide if it is worth it. While it works, it does a fine job. Then shortly after a year, it dies.

It works but it has some shortfalls. The main thing is it is not very powerful. My old 7.2Volt DustBuster is more powerful (and noisier). The filter has smaller "pores" than most hand-held vacuums and that is good when vacuuming up drywall dust or other fine particles. The price you pay is the filter clogs up fast and the so-so power starts going down. After vacuuming a small amount of drywall dust, the power falls so low you have to stop and blow out the filter.

The Quick Flip crevice tool (a flip-down suction nozzle) is more effective that I expected. I use it a lot. It focuses the airflow increasing the suction. I have found no use for the retractable brush strip.

I don't use the vacuum much without the nozzle in place. The anemic power makes you stand the M0914 on its nose to get enough suction for area vacuuming.

So why four stars if it is underpowered? As hand-held vacuums go, it isn't super expensive (I paid Amazon $37 and no shipping), it works well (for a while) on fine particles, its battery lasts okay (but not as long as my old DustBuster), and it recharges fairly fast. And... enough reviewers' Dirt Devil Extreme Power vacuums seem to have plenty of power for me to wonder if I just have a wussy M0914.

you will be very suprised on how powerful this little hand held vac. Kitty litter, marbles, dry pasta, etc.. no problem at all. very nice machine for the the price. highly recommend this

Does a great job cleaning up small messes. Extension wand difficult to open and close.

This handheld vacuum has lots of power! It will pick up dead bugs, as well as hair. I especially like the pull down spout to get into tight places. We have had other brands in the past, but this one is the best!

Excellent vac, very powerful, good for a lot of different uses, but for quick pick ups, it's great. I've got the equivalent DD vac in a plug in, but after getting this one, the plug in has not been used.

The filter does not clog and is easy to clean, just brush it off, rinse it, and let it dry. I got a few extra filters anyway.

I tested the charge, got 15 minutes of continual use before it ran out. That was on the first charge, it might run longer if recharged a few times.

This vacuum performs well. It has good suction, good balance, and is easy to empty/clean. It's the best handheld vacuum that I've ever purchased.

We mounted the vacuum to a vertical wall as per their instructions. The first time an adjacent door was closed the vacuum flew off breaking the nose. All other items mounted to same wall are still there. Can't even comment on how well it works as I only got to use it for a few minutes.

Terrific little machine. Picks up good. Easy to clean out. Nice to look at. A winner in my book.

I bought this handheld after being disappointed with my Dustbuster's battery life. This vac is better by far. The suction is great and the battery life is impressive. It cleans up kitty litter, cat hair, dust, and more. I definitely recommend!

Have had other rechargeable hand vacs . . . but this one really works. We use it for quick pickups, so don't really know how long a charge lasts. Suction is strong. And the crevice tool is really handy for getting into tight areas.

I love the Dirt Devil Extreme Power. It powerful and it does a great job for a little machine. I rate this a 5 star.

We previously had the same product and after many years of use and much abuse by being dropped several times, it gave up the ghost. No other similar product worked as well as this one so we purchased a replacement. This one works as well as the last one and were are completely satisifed.

Super little machine. I broke a glass of wine recently and zipped upstairs to get my Dirt Devil as the dog gave every indication he would enjoy the spilt wine! It took everything up perfectly, and carried on and on working while I anxiously spread it over an increasingly large area, trying to see those pesky and dangerous last little bits of glass. I was impressed with the Dirt Devil's battery performance, design, and general effectiveness. It also did a great job in the car, which was the main reason I bought it! Am so glad that I did.

I was so relieved when I finally recieved this product in the mail. This like a few other products I have recently purchased has been one of those products I wish I would have purchased long before I did. I love it for those little messes in the kitchen, my boyfriends shaving messes in the bathroom, etc. The small nozzle that stays attached makes it really easy to get into tight spaces. And since it stays attached there is no searching for pieces. I have really enjoyed this product.

Good product. The vacuum work well and the battery holds up. I have had it for close to a year and it still works great. My only comment would be to buy the extra filters, the vacuum cleaner works poorly after using the filter for a couple of months.

I was very happy with the dirt devil and I purchased another one as a gift.

The only bad thing is that it takes a day to fully charge at first, but after that...the suction is major and long lasting. The flip down narrow extention is perfect and saves a LOT of time, basically because it has that neat feature, I vacuum more often and longer. I know it will get the job done. Would have bought the interior extra filters at the same time if I'd known they were replaceable.Although this is the same model number, the unit I have is 15.6 volts. Good unit, and would make a great present for anyone. Bird seeds and feathers from four parakeets...no problem.

This handheld vacuum is great. I have a golden retriever and this powerful vac has no problem picking up her fur! The vac also has a handy self-contained attachment that is perfect for cleaning the track on my sliding glass doors. I liked this vac so much that I got one for my daughter and neighbor. My neighbor does alot of sewing and she told me it is perfect for picking up all the little treads and also for cleaning the hard to get to areas of her sewing machine.

This is an excellant product we now own two of them and the price was even better. I found that Amazon was $3.oo cheaper than Wally

I bought this vac for my Mazda RX-8. It definitely exceeded my expectations. The suction is just amazing. It even sucks up minute dust particles. Its very light weight and easy to handle. I was easily able to get into the corners in my back seats as well (RX-8 is a coupe!). I cannot imagine what to expect more from a car vacuum!
