club penguin kids gotta have it
i thought club penguin was not going to be a big exploitive commercial enterprise, but i guess they couldn't resist. for kids who can't get enough CP, although they can't be online and play this at the same time, can they?
Bought this DS game for two grand-daughters for Christmas, age 8, and they both absolutely love it and it was easy for them to figure out and play. It is one of their favorite games to play on the DS. I was pleasantly suprised when they arrived and it was more than the just the game, it was in a box with a penguin pen for the DS and stickers. Delivery was fast and I am extremely pleased with the entire transaction.
I got a great deal on this DS game, these are originally 29.99 and I got it for way less than that and the item was brand new still in original wrapping, the shipping was very quick as well. Thanks
My child loves this game!! Loves the stylus that comes with the bundle!! Got a fabulous deal on here as well!! Amazon toot your horn!!Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force Collector's Edition Bundle
I bought this game for my five year old son and he has played it everyday since christmas. I started to play it so I would be able to answer any questions that he would have and got addicted to it. We have both beat the game and are on our second time and it is still fun.

Great game & value
I bought this for my seven year old for Christmas. He had just recently gotten into Club Penguin. This bundle was a great value for the money and include several accessories. He love the stylus, which you cant' even find in stores! The game is a little challenging, but I am sure that he will learn over time.

Christmas Present
I got this for a Christmas present for 2 of my kids, ages 8 and 10. They both said that it was for little kids. I think that if you have a child that likes to play the online version of Club Penguin they would enjoy this game a lot more.
My 8 year old loves the DS game, but the real fun came when both of my kids used it to kick off and tie in to an online world version. Apparently importing coins earned on the DS to the online game is a big deal, playing it on both platforms really enhanced their excitement overall. Unfortunately, the online version is best played on an account that requires a monthly fee. This creates a bit of a problem in terms of cost versus reward. I wouldn't pay much for the DS game knowing you were going to be pressured by your child to cough up a monthly fee for the online account as well.

Dad of two Club Penguin fans
I have a son (8 years old) and daughter (6) who both love Club Penguin. This game for the Nintendo DS has also been a hit with them. The price through amazon.com was the best around at the time, and delivery was prompt. Both kids played with this a lot while traveling over the holidays. They have also added the "skins" to their game units. To be honest, they haven't played with it a lot since returning from holiday traveling and getting back to our regular routine. I'm not certain if it's because there aren't enough new things to do on the game and they are already tired of it, or just enjoying playing with other games for now. For that reason, I give this 4 rather than 5 stars. If they return to the game with as much enjoyment as they (and the cousins they were visiting) seemed to have with it during the initial week or so, then this could earn a 5 star rating.

Only thing great about game, you can upload your coins to online account!!!
Yes, it is true, you can upload your coins.
Be aware that you must have either a USB cord for your DS or a computer wireless modem connection to do this option. Thank goodness for me, I have a wireless modem at home. At first, the directions were not clear on how to get your DS hooked up to the wireless modem. I did figure it out, just by playing around with the DS. If you start playing the game on the DS, you'll see the option for uploading coins, from there you will go to the set up area and click on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings then go to connection 1 and search for an access point (you should be in the same room as the modem when you are doing this step). The DS should pick up your wireless modem connection and if it ask for a security code or key, look under the modem box and there should be the numbers you are looking for. This game is pretty boring after a while, however you can upload 2,000 coins a day to any account. My child plays it once and a long while, I, the mom, earn the coins super fast for them on the DS, then upload to their account online, so they can go and shop. Ohhh I forgot, you also will gain access to the secret command room on Club Penguin, if you are a secret agen already.
My son loved it! It was a birthday present, and he was very excited with the custom stylus; and the best of all is that you can upload the coins you earn in the videogame to the club penguin account online. =) I recommend it!
Picked this up for son for X-mas, wasn't sure if he'd like it or not (he's more a lego star wars/batman kinda guy). We was thrilled when he first opened it because of all the fun extras and couldn't wait to also try it online. He really liked the game itself, he said it reminded him of one of his mystery detective games because you get to investigate stuff. He was pretty happy with it and gave it 5 stars, and I was happy he liked a game I got that I wasn't sure he would!

Waddle around on your DS! :-)
My son LOVES to spend time on the Club Penguin web site. I was a little skeptical that this game would not be as fun as the web site is, but it was a great price & I liked the "extras" that came with the bundle, so I went for it. I am SO glad I did!!! My son is crazy about this game & loves playing it!! He enjoys it just as much as the web site, & this one can go with us in the car!! Love it!!
My 6 year old daughter simply loves this game. Very educational too. Have to solve lots of problems. Do differnt challenges. Nice clean game!
Fun, Fun, Fun. My 8 year old daughter loved this game. Very thought provoking, good brain exercise.

Disney Club Peguin for Nintendo DS
I brought this Nintendo DS Club Penguin for my 7 yrs old Daughter and she is having fun with it but not as fun as the paid subcription online Club Penguin Game. If you have a wireless router you can upload coins to your Online Club Penguin account. I was disappointed to findout that Disney put a limitation of 2000 coins upload per day to her online Club Penguin account. She can get more than 5000 coins in about 30 minutes with Club Penguin Online. If I had know about this limitation from Disney I would never purchase this game for my daughter. Disney should removed the limitations!
I think that Disney should included a usb wifi connector with this game for customers that do not have wireless router, especially I findout that Nintendo has discontinued the Nintendo Wifi Connector till further notice.
[...]
I did have some issues try to connect my ds to my wireless router at first, but when I disabled my router security setting then I was successful connected the DS to my wireless.

Disney Club Penguin Nintendo DS
My son loves this game and I love what it teaches him. Although almost 11, this game is not too young for him. He enjoys playing Club Penguin online and now he can not only play it on his DS, but the two talk to each other. So any coins he earns on the DS get transferred to the site.
The only bad part is that it did not take long for him to get through the entire game. But he still likes playing the missions to get more coins.

I'd give it zero stars if I could
My 7-year-old son, who had an on-line account, was extremely disappointed in the DS version. We did not purchase it through Amazon, and the salesman at the store led us to believe he'd have access to his on-line character and we wouldn't have to pay monthly fees any more. Completely wrong information. My son called the game a complete rip-off. I feel so bad that now I plan to buy him a different game to make up for his complete and utter disappointment in this purchase.

boring after you finish the missions!
From and 8 year old: Once you complete all of the missions, all you do is the mini games and go around Club Penguin. Eventually you get tired of the mini games and replaying the missions. The good thing is being able to transfer your coins that you earn to clubpenguin.com and go on Disney Gamer.

Club Penguin on the go
My 9 year old lives to play online at the Club Penguin website. I thought this would be perfect for her, so I got it for her for Christmas. She squealed when she opened it, but as she played it, she complained that all you can do is solve missions like you do as an Agent on Club Penguin. The only thing different is you can "buy" clothing items for your penguin on your DS. Other than that she said it's fun, but not like playing online. She told me to tell all the Club Penguin fans out there, that this is worth buying because she thinks all the kids will like it too. You can download coins from your online penguin too.

I purchased this for my 9 year old for Christmas and she states it was her FAVOURITE gift. It goes right in line with the online game. It has different missions and other tasks that must be completed to move on. She says that anyone who enjoys playing online will love this version that is portable with the Nintendo DS system so the fun does not have to stop because you are away from your computer.

Reliable shopping at Amazon
I needed this game for a Christmas gift. I asked the clerk at Toys R Us and several times I was told to come back when the next shipment arrives. I checked Amazon, It was available and She LOVES it. Why should I "stalk" the stock person at my local store? That's not my stance when it comes to shopping.
Gave this as a gift to a 9 year old girl and she was playing it right away and said she loved it
My daughter received this game for Christmas. We both enjoy playing it. It is fun to get all of the extra coins and then transfer them to her online account so that she can purchase new items from the catalogs! This way she can accumulate coins wherever we are...From ballgames to waiting in lines this game is just plain ole fun!

Over quickly but kids love it
I bought this game for my 9 and 12 year old girls who love Club Penguin. The finished the missions within days of playing it all the time. We transferred the coins to their on line account and hope to download more missions in the future from the website. They were excited to get it so kids will love the game. But it went to quickly and then they moved on to other DS games.
The game is just okay. I bought it for my 10 year old daughter. She really enjoys playing Club Penguin online so I was very excited to see a ds game. She was thrilled to receive the game but once she was playing it, she was bored. She said the game is okay but online is better that if she was a Club Penguin member (which costs money monthly) it might be better but other wise she wanted to exchange the game. I myself have not played it.
My 9 year old son wasn't interested in playing this game, but my 13 year old daughter enjoyed it.

Game is OK, advertising is not
I bought this DS game for my 12 yr old who loves Club Penguin online. She was under the impression that you could win games and buy things on the DS that were not available on the online game and then upload the items you bought via wifi into her main online account. This understanding was shared by several of her friends and that ability to upload was a major selling point in the advertising. However you can only upload the coins you win, not any of the items you've bought. It was a big disappointment.

007... Penguin-style!
Disney's Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force for DS is a great addition to any DS library. Based upon the online game, but with one cool difference: you become part of a special group...the 'ELITE' Penguin Force via this game.
You begin with a mini-mission, followed with a meeting with Agent 'D' who leads you to Elite Penguin Force Training. The game itself is 'Top Secret', but once you complete training you'll have all access and be able to upload to[...] 'coins' earned by your Elite Force penguin on the DS game. A cool feature, as earning coins gives you more things for your penguins to play with on Club Penguin. NOTE: you will have to have a usb connection between your PC and the DS to upload information.
Cute and fun, this game will entertain kids ages 6 to 16, and maybe a few adults too!

Great game for Club Penguin fans!
The missions are interesting and creative. Some reading is necessary so younger fans will need assistance. My only complaint is it is very easy to complete all of the missions and earn enough money to purchase all of the clothes in the catalog in less than a week if you don't limit the amount of time the kids spend playing it.

Club Penguin rocks.
(parent & child co-review): I bought this for my 3rd grade son who has been doing Club Penguin on line for a year. He loves Club Penguin and also loves his Nintendo DS (indispensable for us parents on long trips). It was a no brainer for the Thanksgiving long plane trip. The game has the exact visual appearance and game play style of Club Penguin's spy missions. My son basically disappeared for hours with this (for better or for worse). He played for a 3 hour stretch on the plane coming home. That's direct evidence that this game has some serious game play value.
Ben's review:
"I think the game is very fun. When you get used to it, playing is more fun than you'd expect stepping down from the PC to a DS game. It is fun in lots of different ways 1) because you get to solve missions you don't see on the regular on line game. 2) You get to earn badges, get to wear stuff that helps you on your way. 3) You can help people for prizes. The code that comes with the DS game gets you 1500 coins and a spy phone for the on-line world."
For those who have never heard of Club Penguin - it's Disney's virtual on-line community for kids where Penguin shaped avatars throw snowballs, make friends, play games (such as unloading fish from trucks - I kid you not), and hang out. There are also longer structured adventures such as spy missions with more involved puzzles and detective work. Lately there's a whole hierarchical game of becoming a Ninja with card based combat (but that's on-line, not in the DS game). The DS game has spy missions that include destroying robots, train special spy puffles (the puff ball pets of the Club Penguin world), and rescue other penguins in need (and harvest the prizes the grateful saved penguins give you). There's a wireless head to head mode, but we haven't tried that yet. All in all - a real winner.
