BACK IN BLACK was my favorite cd of the last two years. so i wanted to go back and hear how our amy sounded before. its not as stylized its a bit looser but the two cd set is chock full of incredible performances lots of great originals that are not particularly in the style of BIB but still noteworthy and on the second cd there are some exquisite remakes of some amazing standards and some interesting remixes of songs from the first cd. the booklet is full of pictures of a beautiful young healthy woman. what a talent. what a shame if we lose her.

Amy Winehouse Deluxe edition
I was recently turned on to this amazing and talented young woman. I purchased her "Back to Black" album earlier this year and instantly fell in love with her music. I was visiting a friend in Wash DC a few months ago and he had a few of her songs from A.W. "Frank" on his computer. He told me that she would have a deluxe edition coming out. Of course, when returned home to ATL I searched amazon.com and found the "Deluxe edition" of her "Frank Album" and ordered it. I have truly listened to this CD ever since I received it in the mail. You will not be disappointed. SUPER SUPER SUPER Vocalist. I love her despite the fact that she has a serious problem with her life on drugs right now. BUY this album now and Get hooked on A.W.

Voice Sounds Good
This is a good CD. Her voice sounds good. It has a modern sound. But I would have like more variety of styles of songs.
I ordered the Amy Winehouse CD Frank Deluxe Edition. I was pleased with the Timely Delivery and availability of this product. Amazon.Com you are the Best. Thank You
Carl
I was one of those watching the news of Amy's "drug habits" until one day I thought well what does Amy actually do. So I watched some of the music videos on you-tube of early Amy Winehouse and have been hooked ever since. She is thee Only one I listen to on my i-pod. Frank and Back to Black plus others that have not been recorded. That voice, it's the voice and range, it's raw, honest and addictive. Stay with us Amy, your not done yet. She is our Janis Joplin/Billy Holiday.

Winehouse's first is my second
I have been so amazed with Amy Winehouse's voice. I love the music, totally 60's meandering through the CD. She may have her problems and she does need to get over that if she really wants to keep up the wonderful work of her music, but to listen to her sing you are transported to those 60's thoughts.

Not sure of what this Album was trying to do.
This album was kind of confusing. I wasn't sure if the album was supposed to be jazz, R&B, or neo-soul. I would give the music composition a 5-star and Amy Winehouse's singing abilities a 2. She does not have the voice for jazz. The music was beautiful on some of the tracks, but her voice ruined the music. I don't know what her style is because she is not an original. On this album, she copies everyone else's style but her own. People can sense when someone is not an original and no one appreciates a cheap copy. Her singing reminds me of Jill Scott or Erykah Badu's style of singing. As a matter of fact, a lot of the songs reminded me of Jill Scott's music. It would be nice if Amy Winehouse would find her own style and stick to it and quit emulating other singers before her. Again, the music composition was nice on this album. Her band could actually ditch her and make a jazz album on their own. Her band is very talented! I found myself listening to the album wishing that her vocals weren't included and just being able to listen to the actual music. The music was very nice.

Amy Takes On The C*L*A*S*I*C*S!
The FRANK DELUXE EDITION two-cd set from Amy Winehouse is a treasure. Jazzier than Back to Black, FRANK is a call back to another place and time. Winehouse is pure talent and it's a shame that her personal life is so out of control that it might bring the end to such a force of nature.
The first cd in FRANK must be the original cd and begins with an intro of Winehouse scatting. It goes on with songs that have a funky jazz & soul beat and Winehouse sounds like a cross between Billie Holliday and Shirley Bassey, with a little Barbra Streisand thrown in for good measure. I love her remake of "Moody's Mood For Love." There are also a couple of hidden tracks that start after the "Outro."
But the real treat is the second cd. This bonus disc has Winehouse covering classics like "Someone To Watch Over Me," "Teach Me Tonight," and "'Round Midnight" and she makes them all her own. Also included on cd 2 are live versions of the songs "Stronger Than Me," "I Heard Love Is Blind," "Take The Box," and "In My Bed" and other mixes of songs from cd 1.
Also included is a small booklet with liner notes by Paul Flynn and the lyrics to the songs on cd 1.
Hopefully Ms. Winehouse will get her self together. But even if she doesn't, FRANK DELUXE ED. is an enjoyable cd set.
