[+] 10.0 You'll Be SICK of Apples!
I purchased 2 of these baskets in the Fall of 2008 (one for my father as a Christmas present). Once I received it, I bought two, 1" diameter, six foot, wooden rods from Home Depot ($7.79 in Canada). I affixed these to the baskets in seconds with just a Philips screwdriver.

Several months before, I was able to locate several varieties of apple trees on common property in my area and I always had a mind to pick the apples. The trouble is, like most people, I didn't want to tie my heavy ladder to my car and go picking. With this basket affixed to a 6 foot rod, I'd just toss it into my car and go.

When I came upon the site, many of the apples in the lower branches were already picked away by people visiting the recreation centre nearby, but the best apples were higher in the tree. These were the ripest and largest of all.

After about an hour, I had picked approximately four bags of apples or about 60lbs. worth. At $0.98/lb. (avg. price in Canada), this little basket and rod paid for themselves 3x over and I have a LOT more organic apples to pick (among other things!).

I took all of the apples home and spent a couple of hours peeling and cutting them into freezer bags. We plan to use the frozen slices all year for apple pies, apple crisps and apple bran muffins, all which are fairly expensive at the stores and not organic.

Needless to say, the basket works great and is of superb strength and build quality. I am indeed very happy and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

[+] 8.0 apple picker
Very easy to use, can pick several apples at a time, the only negative is it gets tangled up in branches.

[+] 10.0 Apple picker
I bought this item for my brother. He fell off of a ladder a few years ago while picking apples so he was very appreciative. He said it worked very well for him.

It came in a timely manner and I am very happy with the service I received.

This product works exactly as advertised. The basket is well made and attaches easily to your pole. The price was a bargain and the
shipping was super fast. You will not be disappointed.

[+] 10.0 This fruit picker works great.
This fruit picker works great for apples and pears, especially when you can't climb trees like a youngster.

[+] 10.0 Crispin Size Picker
This fruit picker is larger than most others available. I can pick 2 or 3 of the larger Crispin apples with out bruising or dropping. Good product at a good price

[+] 10.0 Good Buy
Well made and a cheap price, well worth the money. All you have to do is add your own pole which can be almost anything, and then clamp it on with the provided clamp.

[+] 10.0 very good
product works very well. bought it as a gift for my parents. they have an apple tree and every year it's a pain to try and get the apples off the tree before fall/winter. we can fit about 5-8 apples in the basket before lowering it to the ground. we used a standard rake pole and then taped a 2x2 on the end of the pole for about 15' of length. it works perfect.

[+] 8.0 Purchase from Amazon.Com
The fruit picker arrived in four days and in perfect condition. I will order from Amazon.Com again. However, I wish Amazon.Com would stop sending me e-mails daily. It is pain in the neck.

[+] 8.0 great fruit picker basket
This picker works great to be so simple, I can now reach fruit that was unreachable for me before.

[+] 10.0 Does the job
Works very well for firm, medium to large size fruit. Less effective for smaller, softer fruit because of the space between the tines. The foam cushion on the bottom is a nice addition but I don't expect that it will last too long. Easy to attach with the enclosed clamp. Does the job and the price is reasonable.

[+] 10.0 Fruit Picker Review
This product came as advertised and will do a good job of picking the fruit without damage. The method of attaching it to the pole is also an improvement over the picker I had previously.

[+] 6.0 not for a dense tree
I have a huge and almost 13' tall lemon tree, very dense. It was pruned last fall, still lemon is a lemon. This fruit picker is good but has really hard time getting through the branches of tree like this. It does a job with a bit of hasle.
I assume it would work better on apple or peach tree.
For the money I still highly recommend it.

[+] 8.0 Fruit picker
Picker arrived very quickly. Went to Lowe's & picked up an aluminum extension pole and mounted the picker on the end. Can get up about 25' and is all I need for my fruit trees.

[+] 10.0 fruit picker
I have a small pick-your-own apple orchard, and by attaching these pickers to 6 ft.pcv poles most people can reach even the highest and hardest to get fruit. Children love to use them. At the end of the season I attach some of them to 12 ft. poles. The only downside is that after 3-4 years the plastic coating wears off and they can rust. I painted those that did. I have been using fruit pickers for many years.

[+] 10.0 Picking a fruit picker
I grew up on land that had been an apple orchard and there were loads of old gnarly apple trees on the property. My father had an apple picker - not sure where he found it - that could be used to pick apples high up on the trees. Now that some of the trees I planted years ago have grown large, I too needed an apple picker. The one I found on Amazon.com is just like my father's and works just great. No moving parts, no batteries - just a simple basket and some foam padding so you can grab the fruit, gently pull it, and it falls into the basket. I love it, and anticipate no problems.

[+] 10.0 excellet little device
I needed this for my granny smith apples and have attached it to the end of a pole after removing the pruner. It works well, attached easily and firmly, and enables me to pick several apples at a time. Well built, works exactly as hoped. Highly recommended.
