Garmin A/C Power Cable for nüvi Portable GPS Navigators (010-10723-00)

I have a Garmin Nuvi 200 and this works great with it. Perfect for charging my GPS when I'm not in the car :)

It's really nice to be able to charge the unit from the wall rather than just the cigarette lighter. I used my Nuvi for walking around several European cities over the past couple weeks and this allowed me to recharge it without access to a car. The two included plug adapters (in addition to the standard USA plug) offer some great versatility.

I returned that cable about 2 to 3 weeks ago and still I did not receive anything yet. chong

i couldn't use this on my nuvi 760 gps as it had a different connection. it was advertized as fitting the nuvi's but it doesn't so i can't give a opinion on it. i sent it back and got credit. shirlee larotonda

Arrived on time and in great condition. Used many times and will continue to use.

This is not a nice to have product; it is a necessity since Nuvi 770 does not come with Car Charger nor wall chargers. (BTW, make sure you get a car charger too, it drains juice fast while in GPS mode). Since Nuvi 770 is Europe ready, this accessory is the logical choice.

I am very pleased with this order. Placed order 9/30/08 and received on 10/06/06. Everything was originally packaged and works fine. Only one minor drawback to this order, it was shipped USPS and I have NEVER had any success tracking orders over the USPS website!

This set is a GREAT addition to your Garmin Nuvi. It also includes international travel adaptors that you could use for other electrics as well.

Mini USB connection. Need not buy OEM, just ensure you buy proper voltage. At 40% off MSRP, it's not to big a rip off. Product works fine, but then again it's just a charger... If unit is used in car, this product is really not necessary as your GPS should have come with a car charger (12V) at a minimum.

This is quite a handy gadget to have if you own a Garmin nuvi GPS. Our family always seems to get out of the house only to find that the GPS is dead. This wall charger has made it easy to keep the GPS charged and ready to go. This unit also comes with adapters for foreign outlets.

The automobile power/charging cord is fitted with a ninety-degree connector, so why couldn't Garmin put the same connector on this A.C. device??

In order to charge the Nuvi using this accessory, one has to lay the Nuvi on its FACE in order to minimize excessive strain on the connection.

Should have been included in with the GPS fortunately it's not very expensive from Amazon.

I bought this because it said it works with "Garmin Nuvi" on Amazon's description but it actually isn't compatible with the one I have - a Nuvi 760. It lists many others on the package but not that one.

Nice to have, but not a necessity for motorists. Great, however, if you do a lot of route planning in advance, etc. Battery run time on my Nuvi 750 is up to 5 hours, so you really don't need this product unless you use your Nuvi alot for walking, bike riding, etc.

GPS may charge via USB. It's slower, but save $! :-Deal

It does what it is designed to do. No fancy bells or whistles. The connections fit and it recharges the unit. I cannot ask for more.

Pro: These are a must if you want to charge the unit up in your home or motel room.

Con: They should be included with the unit.

You really don't need the A/C Power Charger because when in car, it charges with D/C (cable included with Garmin) and when plugged into PC, it cahrges as well. I used the D/C charger only once."

Went on holiday to east of USA,hired car and bought Garmin 270 through amazon.I was worried before purchase about smalller sized screen,alas the screen was perfect.The GPS was user friendly,very reliable and pocket sized for carrying when not in car. The features like the restaurents,hotels,petrol icons on screen made my holiday very enjoyable as I did not know the area on holiday.My family could relax when returning to hotel at night when dark.Overall brillant device.I believe maps are about 18 months old,so one occasion a petrol station was no longer in that location.I could not say enough positive things about garmin.Excellant.

There are times that you don't want to charge the gps in your car or you might use it on foot, well here's your solution. Charge your gps in home then become the road warrior or path finder. It works great and serves it's purpose well.

Works fine, allow my Nuvi 760 to be used while charging, instead of going into USB mode.

One thing I have learned by chance is that when you use a standard USB cable to connect to a computer, you can get it to go into non-USB mode like the charger, but it's not always straightforward. I've done it by disconnecting, then reconnecting the cable after a few seconds - I guess it gets confused.

It works great. I've used it twice with no problems. It's great to set up an upcoming trip or just charge my Garmin without having to hook it up in the car.

The cable and attachments have worked perfectly thus far. Time will tell if the different attachments (plugs for 220 etc) will work with the constaint switching between different plug styles.

Placing the order was simple and fast. The Garmin power cable was reasonably priced and the order was filled promptly. It works fine and arrived 2 days earlier than expected. I would not hesitate to order from amazon again.

Not sure what to say about this AC charger, as it is just a charger after all. However...

It has a cord about 5 feet long that is not removable from the charger. You plug one end into your Garmin GPS, and the charger into a wall outlet.

If you are travelling in Europe (not likely for me) and you want to charge your Garmin GPS (I would not take my Nuvi 200 to Europe anyway as it has no European maps) you can use one of the supplied plug adaptors to fit various-style outlets around the world.

I have only used the original DC car charger over the last few months, but as my car only has one socket that may be used for charging camera batteries on a driving trip, I figured the GPS may be on battery-power most of the day, requiring charging at night.

This is not a necessity, but it is definitely nice to have. Garmin should include it with all GPS units.

Great product from Garmin, works well. My only complaint: this should have come with the unit!

The sevice was great, the product was what I ordered; I just ordered the incorrect product.

It does what it is supposed to do, provides electical current to charge the battery for my Garmin Nuvi.

The charger is convenient since I use my Nuvi 650 most frequently as a pedestrian. Who wants to have to get it in and out of the car or keep the computer on for charging? So it is worth the price for me. Product quality is excellent - what can go wrong with a charger? It should have been included with the original purchase along with a carry strap and case since Garmin promotes the Nuvi for handheld use.

There are cheaper, generic A/C power cables. I prefer to use on with the Garmin brand, for performance to protect the warranty. The price isn't really that much different.

The AC adaptor works well, although I primarily use my Garmin in the car with the car charger.

Since this item comes from a 3rd party reseller, it is not 'bundled' with the GPS unit. So, the shipping charges added in make this a marginal purchase.

I've only used this once so far and it worked fine. I liked the idea of having my gps all charged up and ready to go without having to use the car adapter. Fast delivery from Amazon.

The charger works like it's supposed to. I like the plug adapters, that's a nice touch.

The back of the packaging lists: StreetPilot i5, i3, i2, nuvi 680, 670, 610, 370, 360, 310, 270, 260, 250, 200, 250W, 200W. Only by checking the Garmin website for the nuvi 750, and in particular the item number 10-10723-00, was I sure that the AC charger I received was in fact for the nuvi 750. It was a little confusing.

It is most helpful to have the Garmin GPS activated before setting out on a trip. No need to fiddle with the GPS in the car, just plug it in.

Works fine, not a thing wrong with it. But if this is your first GPS purchase and your box doesn't include an A/C cable, don't jump to buy one. You don't really need it!

This is a very nice item to charge your nuvi inside or at hotel when traveling

My daughter is in college in D.C. This allows her to charge her Garmin Nuvi GPS at home and use it when she is a pedestrian in the city. She doesn't always have a car at college to charge it with the car charger that came with it.

It works like it's supposed to. The only thing that bothers me is that I can't turn the thing off when it's charging like I can my cell phone. So I never know when it has a complete charge which makes it kind of weird or maybe I just don't know how to work the thing - who knows?

The Garmin Nuvi AC charger comes with adapters for various voltages. It works as you would expect. I think it should have been included with the unit as standard.

I was happy with this product, the shipping time was quick and the price was great! When I searched for this product in several different stores, it was never available and if I wanted any of the stores to order it in for me, the price was much higher than what I paid for it on Amazon.

I bought this for my wife who travels every month. She often has to stay in hotels, so this lets her to charge her GPS in her room

What can you say about a charger except that it works and it comes with European and US power cord adapters.
