Garmin Vehicle Power Cable for nüvi Portable GPS Navigators (010-10723-06)

This item was originally listed to fit The Garmin Oregon 400T handheld GPS. When I got it and tried to use it, it doesn't work for that model of GPS. The right angle of the plug hits the curved body of the Oregon model so the plug does not engage all the way and won't stay in. The plug needs to be reversed 90 degrees to work for the Oregon GPS model. When I attemped to return it, the seller has a $10 return fee plus shipping, so I am stuck with it, since that adds up to about 75% of what I paid for it. Now I see they have now listed a different model for the Oregon GPS. Figures.

This product works perfectly well but I still wish I hadn't bought it. I couldn't tell from the Amazon description if the car power cable came with the Garmin Nuvi I was buying. So, I bought the Garmin AND a power cable separately. The cable came before the Garmin and I opened it. Then the Garmin came and there was a cable in the box.

This looks like the charger that came originally with my Garmin Nuvi 350. Mine broke in a few months. I kept it in the car at all times and once I wanted to use it and the part that plugs in the cigarette lighter was just split in two. I never dropped, forced, beat or in anyway mistreated the product. I suspect it broke due to hot weather.
I recommend you not buy this item.

I purchased a Garmin nuvi 260w and did not realize the unit came with the vehicle power cord already. So if buying the GPS, it comes with the vehicle power cord already.

I had to send this item back since I already received one with the GPS unit but customer service was good

I ordered a package and this item came. what i didn't know is that the GPS came with one already. So i had to send this item.

I mean it is a plug. What's to say except that it arrived promptly, works well and is all I need.

I received the GTM 20 FM TCM Traffic receiver with the Garmin 660 GPS system. What about a power cable? Shouldn't I have received that also.

When I purchased a Nuvi 760 this item was shown as frequently purchased with it. Unfortunately it is not compatable and cost me to return as it was my error. Power connections were not visable so how is a person to know if the adapter will work with the GPS? Guess you learn the hard way.

What can I say? I lost my 12 volt power cord for my NUVI 350 (Left it in a rent car.) so I ordered another. It was shipped quickly and it works. Thanks Amazon

I ordered the power cable from Amazon after it appeared as an accessory for the Garmin Nuvi I had previously ordered. Unfortunately, the cable sent to me was not compatible with the model of Nuvi that I had. I first contacted Amazon.com and then ANTONLINE; but neither organization did anything to help with the problem. I just got long winded e-mails from them that didn't move me one step closer to getting a cable that would work with my Nuvi.

It's hard to say which organization's customer service was worse, but I guess I'd have to go with Amazon.com, simply because that was my initial point of contact. You have a HORRIBLE system. It is so bad that it will probably keep me from ordering anything further from Amazon.com

The device plugs very securly into the cigarette lighter in your vehicle. Has a very durable cord, and seems to be very well manufactured.

I could not tell if the original GPS cord or the car outlet was giving me the power issue. After getting this replacement cord I know it was the original cord. This replacement cord works with no issues.

Never received it. You delivered only additions to it (which are useless without it) but not the receiver

I purchased this cable with the Garmin 750. I had to make an unexpected trip to Virginia for a Memorial Service, so didn't want to risk not having all the parts. When they arrived, I found the cable in the box with the Nuvi. I returned the separately purchased cable, but, because "it was not Amazon's fault" had to pay for the return postage. Nothing in the description of the Nuvi indicated that the cable was included. Otherwise, I love the Garmin Nuvi!!! A word to the wise...........

I had to replace the original car power cable that came with my Garmin i5 exactly two years after I purchased it because the original fell apart. This one is much more sturdy and I don't anticipate it falling apart (although that remains to be seen). I had to use Garmin's website to determine if this was the correct replacement product, though, and it is. Wish the description on Amazon was clearer. Price much better on Amazon (of course). I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because I'll have to see how well this one holds up.

I love my GPS, and I don't leave home without it; of course, I make sure I have my power cable just in case my battery power runs out. I went out of town for the past two weekends, and my GPS has more than saved my life on both occasions. Thank you.

Purchased this for my daughter's Garmin (she lost her's). Works like it should except you have to wiggle the power plug at times to get it to charge. The side clips pretrude out of lighter and want to squeeze the plug out. Anyway it works. Would have given a 5 except for that.

I'm sure this product is a great replacement car charger. When I purchased my Garmin Nuvi I looked at what was included in the Nuvi and didn't not see the car charger listed so I purchased this item. When I opened the box, I found it came with a car charger. It was late at night when I ordered my Garmin so I should have known a car charger would have been included. Live and learn. I love my Nuvi 360! Sent back the extra charger.

Three stars because I don't think it was clear on the Garmin Nuvi that it came was a car charger.

The original power cable became intermittent after a few months.
The new one works fine and appears better built.

I feel safer having the Garmin with me at all times. It's easy to operate and when driving easy to see.

Although the product will work it is not what I thought I was getting. I believe it is a copy of the original. Then end is stright and not at an angle as shown in the picture. I was disappointed with my purchase.

This is a great product. It's obvious a lot of thought went into the user interface. With just a bit of getting-started help from the manual I was able to figure out most of its features. It may seem silly, but one thing I really appreciate is the extensive array of languages. I would recommend the Garmin Nuvi 760 to anyone interested in picking up a GPS with lots of features and at a reasonable price.

It would have been really great if the ad for the Garmin 350 had better displayed the fact that the GPS had a 12vdc power cable with the unit. Now I have two and I damn sure don't need two with one GPS. Who whats it?

Amazon cleverly displays this item on the same page as the GPS I purchased and (due to an oversight, I'm sure!!!) neglects to mention the GPS already comes with a charger.

So, they soaked me for another $20, realizing I wouldn't go to the time-and-expense of returning it.

Shame on you Amazon!

Never recieved order but my credit card was charged.They emailed me order was shipped ($5.99) but no tracking number or carrier so I could not follow up. Tried contacting by email no responce. No phone number listed for this company either. Gave up after 4 weeks and bought one from Circut City and recieved it in 3 days. Had 2 give them 1 star to review...should be -1...

The Garmin Nuvi 360 is an excellent product at a great price. Also, it is compatable with a bluetooth phone and works well with hands free calling while in the car.

This replacement cable is superior to the one which came with the
Garmin 360 which kept losing contact in the auto outlet. This has
a nice snug fit in the outlet and is made better than the original.

this works perfect.i bought other chargers off the net that said they would work with my garmin but when you pluged them in to charge a large icon of a computer would pop up on the screen and you could not see the map or get any other fuction of it to work with this charger it works perfect ..you can charge and use the garmin at the same time..thanks Amazon.com

it is not entirely clear from the writeup on the garmin nav, but the garmin comes with a great power cord for the car and a recharger for use with a wall outlet so buying this is not necessary unless you want an extra one.

this accessory comes with most Garmins and does NOT need to be ordered as an add on.

When I bought the GPS unit, the site said that this cord was also bought by customers who bought the unit, so I thought I needed it. Turns out it came with the GPS, so I returned it.

This product worked great for my Nuvi 250W... bought this to replace my charger that was lost to a car accident. It isn't the exact same charger that came in the packaging of my GPS, and neither is it the same one in the picture: The DC adapter is a little more rounded on the edges.

The length of the cord is the same length as my old charger, which is great because I'm able to route the cable from the bottom of my center console, under the driver's side dash, between the door and the dash and up to the left side of my windshield.

Great product, and Amazon's price can't be beat.

I received this with my Nuvi 350. Within 3 months I had to replace it. I have since replaced it three times within two years. When it works it works well.

The only reason I needed this charger was because I left my original one in a rental car on accident. Garmin wanted $29.90 + shipping direct from them, but from Amazon I was able to save ten bucks. This product does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you need one of these, you need it, no way around it. Amazon's price was competitive, and the shipping was fast. Highly recommend.

The description of Garmin Nuvi 360 may not tell you, but it includes the car charger, as well as the UBS cable, and the wall-outlet charger. It also includes the mount for installing the Garmin in the car. Do not purchase what you don't need. Amazon will make you pay the postage to return it even though their description didn't tell you what was included in purchasing the Garmin.

Amazon advertised this product with the garmin nuvi in such a way that the you are led to believe you must have this power cable to operate your Garmin Nuvi in your car. Wrong. Nuvi comes with this adapter and you really dont need the extra one. Shame on amazon.com for misleading advertising.

This DC car charger is easy to use and fits the lighter socket easily. Seems to be much sturdier than the previous unit that I had, which "self destructed" at the insertion tip where the plastic threads that held the tip ring in place stripped after only a few usages. Typical for all "Chinese-made junk"! Time will tell however, if this replacement actually holds-up better.

Selling this product is silly when a month later you have no Garmin to use it on since the company can not provide it.

This charger does what it is suppose to do. I love that it is a standard mini usb since my phone is as well and I am able to use this charger to charge my phone as well.

A very functional, easy to use personal GPS. Consumer Reports rated this second to the nuvi 670. The 660 has as much function as the 670 and it is cheaper. Would recommend the 4.5" screen versus the 3" on other Garmins. Wish the 660 A/C charger and automobile mount/charger cable had the same plug. It would save having to buy the automobile charger as a seperate item.

I returned this item along with the dashboard mount. I received credit for the dashboard mount but I did not receive credit for this item. Please advise.

It worked out great because I lost the one that came with the nuvi 350
so I was charging it with the one you plug in the wall only. But I am happy because I feel that I got a real good deal on it.

I made the mistake of ordering the power cable and the garmin leather cover because i thought the garmin didn't come with those things. this is just because i didn't do my homework AND it showed me how people who'd bought the garmin also bought the power cables and cases, i'm not sure why. maybe they were suckers like me.

If you own a Nuvi 6xx series GPS (Probably other higher end Nuvi GPS models also.), this charger is a must have if you are using it in conjunction with an aftermarket cradle such as the RAM-Mount brand. (Generally used for motorcycles) You must use the mini-USB port on the side of the Nuvi because the aftermarket cradles DO NOT HAVE a backside charge port built in like the original cradle. I had no luck using a regular mini-USB cord plugged into a "cigarette lighter to USB adapter" either. If you try this, most likely, the Nuvi will be tricked into thinking it's connected to a computer, which in turn makes the Nuvi display the PC-link splash screen endlessly until you unplug the standard USB cord from the Nuvi. In other words, if you want to power the Nuvi via the mini-USB port, you need to use this specific charger.

Overall, I think this charger is nicely made. The cord is pretty thick, and the main charger body feels solid. The charger tip on the cigarette socket side uses a metal ring instead of a plastic ring that many other cheap chargers have. And the mini-USB tip housing also feels very solid and well made to me.

As a side note, I noticed that almost all the reviews rated at 2 or 1 stars, the reviewer(s) complained that either it's not compatible with the Nuvi 6xx, or not as advertised. (Meaning it won't fit the original cradle that comes with the higher end Nuvi's.) Well, that is their own fault for not looking closely at the description. Even the tip of this charger looks different than what came shipped with their Nuvi. So don't rate a good product poorly due to your own ignorance. That's all I'm saying.

We lost our car charger for our Garmin nuvi 350. This cable does the job like before. I just wish that it was less costly than that (>$20).
