Falsely Advertised!!! Beware!!!
This is advertised as a "HOOVER" 40112050 FloorMate Filter.
However once it is delivered... SURPRISE! You will find out it is a generic after-market filter that is "Designed to fit the Hoover Floormate".
It is NOT a Hoover Filter as advertised.
Very disappointed that Amazon would allow this FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

Filter for Hoover Floormate
It is not as good as the actual one from the company. The material that is filtering the water through does not filter correctly and lets too much water go through it. I'm sure it's the material is not as absorbent and therefore does not trap the dirt and water like it should. I don't think I'll buy this next time but get one directly from Hoover or is certified Hoover product. This is a generic.

New filter purchase
I thought the machine was finished, as the suction was all of a sudden not picking up all the water and the floor didnt seem to come clean anymore as it should. I ordered the filter and popped it easily into the machine and the machine is now working like the first day i bought it, great, absolutely wonderful

This product was shipped to me in good condition and is the product I expected it to be. It appears to perform as well as the original filter that came with the device at purchase.
If you are looking for replacement filters for your Hoover hard floor cleaner, this appears to be the same filter that came with the cleaner to begin with.

Works well and is priced fair
This filter is needed in order to operate your Hoover FloorMate. It is fairly cheap to but and can be washed many times before having to be replaced.

This really sucks!
Taking the hint from an earlier reviewer, I replace my original (two-year old) filter, and wow, what a difference in suction. It returned the suction to the original level, leaving the floor almost completely dry after one pass. I'll replace the filter regularly from now on!

Please listen to me only buy "Hoover" filters
I got a couple cheaper ones off Ebay two for $10 and gave one to a neighbor. It was bad my floormate leaked a lot. turn off machine and dirty water leaked all over. I know floormates leak a tad but this was like why use it leaking.
I ordered this filter and the sucking power is back making the machine act like it is brand new. Saving $$ isn't worth it if it leaks spend more and buy this it's the real deal.

A Clean Filter Makes a World of Difference
I waited too long to replace the filter for my Hoover FloorMate. I didn't realize what a difference it would make in the performance of the water pick up function.
If there are FloorMate owners out there who've notice a decline in the water pick up function, try replacing the filter.
The filter arrived very fast. It was larger then the original & I had to maneuver it in. I'm not sure if it was an original part or an after market part. I works just the same, so I'm pleased enough.

Love anything to do with my Hoover FloorMate
Even though this is just the filter, I have to give props to anything having to do with my beloved Hoover FloorMate!!
As the other reviewer said, necessary to run your FloorMate. Check out Lowe's...1/2 the price.
The filter for my Hoover Floormate was getting dirtier and dirtier. I had washed them many times but it was time to get a new one. Imagine my surprise that the stores did not carry that particular filter. After numerous phone calls I decided to check the net. I found them here at Amazon, great price, fast service!

Neccessary for your Floor Mate.....
What can I say - You have to have this to make the machine work. Rinses well, takes a while to dry. Buy it a Home Depot cheaper....
