Hoover 40307016 FloorMate Grout-Cleaning Solution, 16 Ounces

Last year I obsessed about cleaning my tile. It turned out that it wasn't the tile that was dirty, it was the grout!

After researching everything I could get my hands on, questioning all my friends and neighbors, I tried everything that was recommended. Most took lots of scrubbing or they just didn't work. I wanted something that worked, didn't stink, and didn't leave dangerous chemicals that might harm my pet.

This one does take a little scrubbing, but works really well. I haven't found anything I like better.

Used as directed with FloorMate. Also used directly on grout with a brush. Used it full strength, used it diluted. Even let it stay on grout for about 15 minutes. No one of those methods did anything!! Save your money. You'll get as good results using almost anything else. Perhaps most disappointing product I've used in 10 years.

I purchased this grout cleaner after trying several products to get crayon out of the grout on my kitchen floor (my 2 year old decided to color the floor when I wasn't looking) and of course, I had to get on my hands and knees with a brush, but with warm water and this product the crayon came out! I was disappointed when Wal-Mart decided not to carry this product anymore. I have been looking around for it but haven't found it at all, the price I originally purchased it for around $4.89. It's a great product and well worth the price, when you consider it restores your grout to looking like "new" again.

I have used this FloorMate Grout-Cleaning solution on my tile kitchen floor and the results are amazing. I will use this product forever.

This works very well in getting grout clean, but I have not had much luck using it with the Hoover Spinscrub. It cleans the floor just as well as the regular hard floor solution, but does not do much on the grout even when I used the grout brush.

But, it works very well when you go at it the old fashioned way with some elbow grease and a grout brush. I've used it on both floor and counter tile grout (both gray) and it really does a good job. I dilute it at about a 5-to-1 ratio (5 parts water, one part cleaner) and use a spray bottle to apply it.

For really stubborn stains, let it set a bit on the grout then hit it with a steam cleaner. Does a great job and has a decent fresh scent.

This is the best cleaning product to use with the Hoover Floormate. I have white tile floors with light grout...and way too many dogs who have a very fond penchant for digging in the mud and running inside the house through the doggy door. This stuff is a must!

I only wish that it came in a larger sized bottle.

The Hoover Floormate Grout-Cleaning Solution didn't really do the job for me. I have a huge, cermaic tile entryway and the grout has taken a beating. I wanted something to get it a lot cleaner than this grout cleaner for the floormate could do.

This seems to clean well.
I don't have any other cleaners
to compare it to. I have not
used it on heavily soiled areas,
so I can only say that it works
on lightly soiled grout.

I can always count on Amazon for timely shipping but rarely do I find such an exceptional value.

good product--used it but it has to wait because we had a fire in our condo and don't know if the floormate is salvageable at this time! it has been a real bummer. but we count our blessings

Hoover Grout Cleaner made my 5 year old travertine grout lines look like new--and trust me I have tried everything. I have natural stone so some uneven areas and I used the product with a grout brush not the Hoover Floor Mate machine which mises 90% of the grout, but does clean rest of floor very well. Grout is tricky. I recommend that you go to Home Depot/Lowes, get the grout brush, and sit on the floor and clean grout lines with this great product like a Marine. Great looking floors now. Highly recommned this product.

It really cleans up! Does a great job on getting the dirt out of the grout. Makes the tile look nice and shiny too.

PRODUCT IS GOOD BUT OVERPRICED, FOUND A PRODUCT JUST AS GOOD AND MAYBE BETTER BECAUSE IT LEAVES A NICE ORDER IN THE AIR.IT'S PINK IN COLOR AND CAN BE PURCHASED AT SAMS, CALLED TILE FLOOR CLEANER.PRICED 1/3 OF THE HOOVER PRODUCT.
