Hoover HEPA Filter For Fusion, and Elite Rewind Uprights Part # 59157055

Like some other reviewers, this filter is tight out of the box. Force it. It will fit and work fine. If you look at the foam bushing on the one end, it will compress and look just like the beveled/impressed bushing on the filter you remove. It works great in my Hoover Upright Rewind. The red one.

First off, this is not an OEM filter (not manufactured by Hoover). It is manufactured by Crucial Vacuum. But that's not a problem because these are actually much better than the OE part.

These are true HEPA standard filters and fit VERY tightly to eliminate filter bypass. The reviews that say they don't fit are incorrect. They fit, just very snugly. It'll take a few tries to assemble the filter canister.

The vacuum already has a HEPA exhaust filter, but that doesn't protect the mechanical internals from dust buildup (whereas these do,) and it's not zero bypass so fine particles will re-enter the room.

Also, these are WASHABLE with water! (Visit the Crucial Vacuum website for washing instructions.) This doubles the filter life to 6 months and makes these much cheaper than the OE filters.

I'm very pleased with this surprise, I just wish the Amazon review accurately described the brand.

This filter does not fit despite it being advertised as a hoover product, which it is not. Will be returning it.

This filter is being sold as a Hoover filter. It is not a Hoover filter. It is actually made by Crucial Vacuum. The part does not fit correctly into the Hoover Elite Rewind vacuum. It is slightly too tall which makes it nearly impossible to put the cover back on top of it. My husband was finally able to force it on but we have serious concerns about ever being able to get the cover back off the next time we need to replace the filter. I feel very deceived about the way this is being listed on Amazon.com and am very surprised. I have never had this experience with Amazon before. My packing slip even states that this is a Hoover product. It is listed as "Hoover HEPA filter".

This filter is a little too long but just enough to be unusable because there is no way to fit it in!

The product does not fit well at all and is slightly longer than the OEM replacement product. Not sure why it was advertised on Amazon as a HOOVER brand product. It is an aftermarket product that is just as expensive if not more than the replacement. You are better going to [...] to get your filter. It'll be OEM, cheaper, and will be guaranteed to fit.

Guess what!? This is a fine hepa filter that does a dang good job. My wonderful homemaking wife loves it and so do I. :o)

I've recently purchased the Hoover Elite and one of the selling points on it for me was the filter. I like that it does not have to be replaced often and the filter cost is very reasonable. I am happy with the performance of the vac and the filter is naturally a part of that performance. When I purchased my vac, I bought the extra filter and belts to be prepared with the replacement parts on hand for the first year.

This filter seems to be identical to the one that came with my vacuum and works great.

Just what I ordered. The new filter renewed my vacuum's ability to suck up just about anything off the floor again. Great product and an easy install.

This item is genuine part from Hoover, fair price and fast shipping.
[...]. It looked similar but just tiny bit longer, so it did NOT fit. Just warning for people out there to make sure you buy the genuine part, otherwise you might end up wasting money on shipping back and forth.

This product it's difficult to buy in stores, I'll have to look for this in internet, an finally I get it, thanks to amazon to find this item, and was a good experience to buy it. Thanks.

shipped when they said it would and arrived when they said it would, was correct item... best part is that they had it in stock. this was in nationwide back order -

The filter for the hoover vac arrived as indicated and probably saved me from purchasing a new vacuum since I could not find this particular filter anywhere else... When the time comes, I will definitely be back for a new filter since the product arrived promptly and in perfect condition -- and probably rescued my vacuum!. Thanks!

The filter works great!!! However, it took longer than expected to receive the vacuum filter.
