[+] 2.0 disapointed
After putting this together, which was not easy, it would not work. It would not turn on. It had no power. I should have packed it back up and returned it, but trying to do the right thing by reading the directions which specifically say "DO NOT RETURN" I went on the web site and located a place to take it to for repair. I dropped it off, they called a week later and said the wiring harness was no good and they ordered a new one. Four weeks later, I decided it was long enough and went and got it back, still not working, the part had not come. Then I went on Amazon.com and found out I could not return it because the time had ran out. So I called Hoover customer service, they said they would not take it back because they did not sell it to me. I told them it was their product and apparently it came out of their factory defective. The rep then called the repair shop and they had finally received the wiring harness the day after I took the machine back. (Why didn't they call me?) So the lady at Hoover told me to take it back to the repair shop, which I did and the next day it was repaired. Does it work? you ask. It does turn on, but now I have misplaced or maybe thrown out the instructions and have no idea how to use it. My advice... if you buy something that does not work when you take it out of the box, pack it back up and send it back right away.

[+] 8.0 It works quite well, but doesn't work a miracle
As someone else said, this unit doesn't work miracles, but it will clean up the floor.

The kitchen floor in our rental apartment is a very light (white) sheet-rolled textured linoleum and is getting tired (15+ years I'd guess?), so it's factory finish is kaput at this point. As a result it gets very dirty, very fast... This unit seems to get up all the "new" stuff, but it doesn't really pull up the serious dirt and grime that is really ground into the floor--for that I think we will need to hand scrub, however I can imagine this Hoover working fantastic to pull up the scrubbing water!

I can easily see this being used once or twice a month to keep a floor nice and clean once it's been thoroughly scrubbed, and actually I'm guessing that using it those 1-2x month will eventually get up the stubborn dirt up as well, I'm just impatient.

To use it you push it forward while squeezing the trigger--behind the unit is a path of the cleaning solution, then you release the trigger and pull the unit back along the same path and it will suck up all the solution and dirt ... the suction part works FANTASTIC! the floor was bone dry after pulling the machine backwards.

The dirty water coming up off our floor was the consistency of dark chocolate milk, it was disgusting... it even picked up crumbs, cat hair, etc, that I had missed when I broom swept before washing.

The unit was easy enough to assemble, it's small and fairly light weight. I thought it felt a bit chintzy at first, but when I was using it I didn't feel like I was going to break it or anything like that.

All in all I think this was a good buy, and it beats the heck out of mopping or swiffer wet jet, both of which just push dirt... this thing literally washes: dumps water on, scrubs, then sucks it back up...

[+] 6.0 Disappointed with Hoover Tile Cleaner H3060
I normally clean my floors with mop and 1 gallon warm water, 2TBNs Ammonia and 1 TBN Borax. Cleans beautifully and squeaky clean. Since I have a really bad back I decided to take a chance on The Hoover 3060. I'm a little disappointed. I used the Hoover Floor Mate Grout Cleaner since I have ceramic floors. Yes, it picked-up a bit of dirt but the floors feel sticky and not the normal squeaky clean that I'm used to with my above formula. The grout was not lightened at all so I'm going to have to use bleach on them.
I am sorry I didn't do more homework on which cleaner I should have bought and only today I received a reply from "The Queen of Clean". I didn't realize to contact her before I made my Hoover purchase. She recommends ACT Natural Mop which cleans and disinfects with ONLY water. I clean my home with her recommendations and have never been disappointed.
I went by the reviews on previous clients who purchased the Hoover H3060 and I'm sorry now. Too Late. I will eventually get the ACT Natural Mop since I am very disappointed in not only the machine but the Grout Cleaner which leaves a slight film on my tiles. Queen of Clean said not to use my above formula on my Hoover H3060 which will ruin the machine.
Sorry for this poor review.

[+] 10.0 Love it!
SO, I have had this thing for three weeks and used it about 4 times. My entire house is tile. That is a whopping 2,800 square feet of tile! First time I have got to walk around the house in socks and not have dirty gray footprints on my socks! I love this thing!

I don't see how it is so complicated. Maybe because I didn't read the directions....For changing out the solution and all that, for my floors I had to refill the tank about 5 times. I use hot water and Lysol.

The only con I have is that I don't use the attachments per se. The grout cleaner attachment frankly doesn't work for me. I use the Sonic scrubber or better yet, a nice sturdy bristle brush on hands and knees. I have to admit, last week, I did clean all my grout by hand and I think with hos the cleaner works and how my tile is laid out, I don't think my grout will get nearly as dirty as when I used my mop. So, at least i own't have to clean my grout as often!

I am a relatively tall person and lugging around this "heavy" equipment is no big deal. It is not more heavier than my Dyson with the ball. So, if you are a small petite gal, this may not be the cleaner for you.

Like I said, it DOES work and as far as leaving your floors wet, that isn't an issue for me at all. It doesn't. When I am done, I place the unit in my garage and take it apart to clean all the brushes and whatnot. And it isn't any loader than a vacuum cleaner :-).

WOuld I recommend this to friends and family? ABSOLUTELY! I have even whipped it out and given demos!

[+] 10.0 Love my clean floors!
I bought this specifically for the grout cleaning tool - note that if your grout is as bad as mine probaby nothing will remove the stains. I've been told by several professionals that the only thing I can do is cut the grout out and start over, but I opted to get it as clean as I can. This HAS helped old stains and it removes new dirt from the grout wonderfully. It has faded the old stains and eventually I guess all the grout will even out to a new darker color. But I use this machine daily to dry vac my hard tile floors and twice weekly to scrub them. I don't attach the grout tool because it doesn't pick the water back up well, so I just carry it and scrub tough spots with it and then go over them with the whole machine. I do use the floor attachment to get the machine into smaller spaces where the machine itself won't fit. All in all I think it is a great machine - I use less solution (1/4) on a regular basis, full strength about once or twice a month, and I use it with warm water only once a month to remove residue from the cleaning solution that might be building up.

[+] 8.0 Easier than scrubbing on hands and knees
I purchased the Hoover FloorMate Spinscrub 800 because we have two large dogs who track a lot of dirt into our house. Our family room/kitchen has ceramic tile and that's the room where they (and we) spend the most time. Although we have a housekeeper who comes every other week, the floors need cleaning between times. After my second knee surgery, I decided that I could no longer scrub the floors by hand.
I found the FloorMate fairly easy to assemble and the instructions on using it Hoover FloorMate Spinscrub 800 Wet/Dry Vacuum Cleaner with Tools, H3060clear. Our floor has 12" tiles and the surface is not smooth. Once I figured out to run the cleaner with (rather than against) the grout lines, and to run it once on the "across" grout lines, then again on the "up and down" grout lines, I found it did an excellent job. The grout did not come perfectly clean, but it was just as clean as when our housekeeper does it on her hands and knees. (In fact, she said she wanted to learn how to use it, also.) On one occasion, expecting company in just a few minutes, I ran the cleaner over the floor using just plain water. It was quick to do, and worked well. I'd especially recommend this cleaner to anyone who has a large area of hard surface floor that needs to be cleaned fairly frequently.

[+] 8.0 plus and minus
I rarely review, but since I depend so much on others' reviews, I decided to start.

Plus
Uses little water and cleaning solution
Easy to roll around and fill and empty containers
Uses only clean water - where as a mop and pail I feel like I am spreading the dirt around
Does a decent job
Floors dry very quickly
Super easy to put together

Minus
Cleans grout on tile floors? - In your dreams!
Very noisy
Tanks do not snap into place well
Another item to store, fortunately it is not huge.

I thought my regular cleaning solution worked better than the one included (I compared Lysol 4 in 1 to Hoover grout cleaner).
When I first started it up, it ran for a few seconds and then turned off! I called customer support at Hoover and they were going to send me on a wild goose chase. As I was moving it, the handle came loose. I thought I had put it on tightly, but evidently not. Reseating the handle fixed the problem.

Would I buy this again? Probably yes. I have a lot of ceramic tile and hardwood floors. I have not yet tried it out on the wood, but hopefully it does a decent job. As for grout on ceramic tile - the only thing I have found that works to date is Lysol 4 in 1 cleaner with bleach. I spray it on and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes and then brush it with a stiff nylon brush and it is beautiful. Too much work though! So it only gets done once or twice a year. I have light grout and it is a pain. I read that oxygenated bleach available at home improvement stores works well also.

[+] 6.0 Hoover Floor mate is OK
I was a little disapointed in it's performance. I thought it would clean deeper. I have a white kitchen floor and it really needed something to clean it better. The tool carrier is always falling off and just doesn't fit right for storage.

[+] 4.0 Disappointed
I read review after review before purchasing this floor cleaner. I did not expect any miracles, but I DID expect more from it than I got.
I don't really feel the need to go into every detail of its shortcomings, but I used it three times and realized that it was less work and less irritation to just continue using my mop and bucket. The water container is too small, the unit does not get close enough to the walls or into corners. You have to really linger over the tiles to clean. The floor is left drier than with a mop, but I would not consider it almost dry.
Yes, I suppose its true that you are not re-using your dirty water and spreading the dirt all around. Although, for the amount of times I had to refill the water tank to clean my 1500 SF of tile, I could have just as easily changed the water in my mop bucket. For a lot less money.
All in all, I was completely disappointed and returned the product to Amazon.
That being said, Amazon paid return postage and my account was credited within 10 days. I love dealing with Amazon, just didn't like the product.

[+] 10.0 Amazing tile cleaner
I have just recently bought this Hoover Floormate from Amazon.com after using a Haan steamer that stopped heating up after 3 months. I have got to say the hoover Floormate does an amazing job on 1000 Sq Ft of tiles. I never realized how dirty they were and the floormate brought up all the dirt the Haan had left behind and that was with using the wrong brushes. The hard wood floor brushes were used by mistake. What are my floors going to look like when the correct ones are used? Amazing I would think. The floors are so clean this cleaner will only be used about twice a month. I'll have to see, but at present I am delighted at the way it works and it is so easy to use and the dry vac in the kitchen area on a tile floor is great. I Love this cleaner. My only regret is that I did not buy this one first!

[+] 4.0 Way Too Much Hype
We bought this Hoover H3060 and also a Eureka 313A Steam mop at the same time to clean all our porcelain floors. We liked the Eureka steam mop so much more. The Hoover requires frequent refilling of the detergent/water canister and the detergent is not cheap. It is also very bulky and cannot fit in the tight corners and spaces that the Eureka Steam Mop can. The steam mop allowed you to use more pressure on spots whereas with the Hoover, you were stuck using their predetermined pressure. I'm sure this light pressure is due to their concern over cleaning hard wood floors. With porcelain tile, you want something with much more pressure than the Hoover puts out. Plus with the Eureka, no chemicals to buy and it costs a heck of a lot less money. The only plus for the Hoover is that it dries the floors a few minutes quicker (like 3-5 minutes).
Needless to say the Hoover will be for sale in our next yard sale and I hope the Eureka gives us many years of good use.

[+] 4.0 Should have waited...
I'm going to give this machine 2 stars because the alternative of scrubbing with a mop is worse.

That being said, this machine is easy to assemble and it's directions are clear.

I use this machine on sealed wood floors in my dining room and kitchen. It is easy to use, however, no matter what I tried, I could not get the floors clean without streaking. I used less water, more water, moved it ever so slowly, agonizingly so in fact. To no avail.

The machine does get the floor clean but if I want a shiny floor I have to add an extra step and use a mop with a polish to remove the streaks. And the whole process takes three times as long to do as the back-breaking mop method.

So since I've had poor performance from Hoover vacuums, I should have known better and just waited for Dyson to demonstrate the right way to build one of these machines.

Others may have had a better experience with tile floors, however my experience on wood floors is abysmal.

[+] 10.0 GREAT floor cleaner.
Love this machine. I have 1400 square feet of tile, three kids, three dogs, and a cat. This floor cleaner is fantastic. It not only cleans well, it sucks up the water and makes the floor dry within minutes. I love the attachments. It's worth the few extra dollars to get them. The grout cleaner is amazing. This is the first time my grout has really gotten clean. It was especially hard to clean the grout when the puppy pooped on it. Not anymore! It's perfect for having a puppy learning to be house trained. My allergies have improved immensely since we got this too.

[+] 8.0 Hoover H3060 Floormate
I have been using this floormate for several weeks now and I absolutely love it.
I have textured tile in our house and every mop we tried (including the steam mops) just kept getting hung up on them. I had an older floormate for years and finally upgraded to this one. We also have several pets so there is always a mess to clean up.
I wish the water containers were a bit bigger so I didn't have to refill/empty them constantly but overall I love using my floormate.

[+] 10.0 Better than any mop
We have had this product for well over a year now and it has been a real work saver and back saver. If you let it do the work it is a relief to your back, your knees, and for that matter the rest of your body.
No more continual runs to the mop bucket, rinsing and squeezing a mop, getting down on your knees scrubbing stubborn spots, and it's fast. Three settings allow you to vacuum the floor, wash the floor with scrubbing action from the brushes and then a setting for vacuuming the water residue (which is not much since the wet wash does get most of the water up). We really appreciate this product from Hoover. It truly is a home run.
One complaint is that it does not have a cord hook up by the handle so you have to hold the cord up and away with your other hand. But this was hardly a reason to dock it a star. This is a seriously good product.
Thanks Hoover.

[+] 6.0 Cleaner Tile and Grout
Did research on hard floor cleaning and discovered this machine. After researching it, wound up buying it, and the extra accessories. It does an ok job, but I have not found the cleaner they recommend anywhere, as of this date. I have textured tile flooring, so it doesn't do as great of job --- I think it needs longer bristles for my type of floor. It seems like a lot of plastic parts, and not sure how long this machine will last, but it is not bad. However, I think I overpaid for it, as I paid $179 and found the same machine alone for approx $98 at Costco without the attachments. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't waste the money on the attachment kit as it makes the unit a lot more in price, and I seriously don't feel it is worth the difference. The good part is I don't have to get down on hands and knees now to scrub--although that would definately be the best way to go for the cleanest floors possible. This machine just buys time between the 'hands and knees' type cleaning!

[+] 10.0 Gets the job done
This product works as describes, cleans hard floors easily. You do have to stop and empty the dirty water container a lot and refill the clean water container. Also, the cleaning solution that comes with the cleaner has an odd smell, I've switched to using a vinegar and water solution, it cleans just as well... and a lot cheaper.

Overall, this machine is way better than a mop and bucket.

[+] 2.0 Floor still dirty after using this - slow and ineffective.
Using the Floormate is much slower than using a brush and wet rags with cleaner, as I normally do. You have to work across the floor really slowly to get the Floormate to clean at all. Mainly it just redistributes the dirt in streaks on the floor. As a test, I pushed a wet terry-cloth towel across the floor after I had 'washed' it with the Floormate - it was filthy after only a couple of yards! This machine is not fit for purpose. You will be much better off and be quicker (and will be getting a workout), by using muscle-power, a deck brush and terry-towels to wash your floor.

[+] 10.0 My Housecleaner Now Recommends This Tool To Other Clients With Housecleaning Challenges: dogs, mud, etc.
I searched everywhere for something that would make it EASIER for me to get and keep my floors clean, with the challenges of 2 dogs, my gardening, and red clay mud. This was the answer for me.

I have to work hard at keeping house. Let me correct that. I WOULD have to work hard, but instead I spend my time and energy looking for ways to do it more effectively, with less time and effort. Cleaning house doesn't come naturally to me and also I work full time. I obviously didn't get the house-cleaning gene I so admire in others.

My cleaning lady just keeps saying how much she loves my Floormate Spinscrub. Recently another of her clients called me to get the information on how to buy it. They don't have dogs, but the husband is always tracking in dirt and mud.

The only thing I don't like about it, and it really isn't a big deal at all, is the fact that the sprayer just doesn't spray out enough product. My house cleaner says she just adds the floor cleaning product herself and doesn't worry about that, which is what I do as well. It would be even more of a problem if it sprayed too much, so this may not be a defect at all.

I HIGHLY recommend this product!

[+] 8.0 Great machine, but not a miracle
This is the second Floormate I've purchased and the third I've used. I live in Florida and have pets. All you have to do to be convinced of the usefulness of this machine is take a look at the water in the pick-up tank. If that doesn't convince you , clean the floor in your conventional way, then run the Floormate and look at the tank.

It has imperfections. It doesn't pick up sticky food spills in one pass. (I keep a putty knife handy.) It does dribble after you turn it off. I store it on an old washcloth. They don't last forever. I'd guess four years is typical. I figure about 50 cents per use for the machine.

The tile cleaner brush isn't really convenient for my shower stall, but the grout cleaner fluid works great with a magic eraser pad.

I use the wash setting followed by the water pickup setting. It leaves the floor reasonably dry. For cleaning pet messes I use Simple Solution instead of the Hoover product.

[+] 10.0 Works great!
Pros: Scrubs well and sucks up the water well.
Cons: A bit heavy to push when sucking up the water

First of all, I'm asking a lot of the Floormate! I bought the Hoover H3060 Floormate to clean tile floors in my basement where one of our cats likes to pee. Unfortunately, I cannot get rid of the cat so I needed something to clean up after him. Regular mops seemed to just spread it around and the basement always smells like pee. It didn't occur to me that you could buy a hard floor cleaner similar to a carpet cleaner so when I saw the Floormate on Amazon I read the reviews to see if it seemed like it would work well for my purpose. A couple of people commented that it helped clean the floors at their kennel businesses so I thought it might be good for cleaning my basement floors.

It arrived today and I tried it out. I did not use the Hoover cleaning liquid but instead filled it with one of those special cleaners for pet messes and with hot water. The Floormate did a good job of scrubbing and it easily and quickly sucked up the water from the floor. In fact, one time when I was emptying the dirty water container I accidentally spilled it all over the floor and the machine easily picked that up. The used water was pretty filthy so I'll take that as a sign that the machine worked well. The regular machine doesn't reach quite all the way to the edges of the floor (leaves about 1/4") but the attachment tools should help with that.

It's a little hard to push when you're using the dry cycle but otherwise it's about like using a regular vacuum cleaner. Switching between vacuum, clean, and dry is easy with just the turn of a knob. I've only used it once so far but the Floormate appeared to do a good job of really getting into the grout between the tiles, even without using the special grout tool or cleaner. If the condition of the dirty water is any indication, it did a pretty good job. Over time we'll see if it eliminates the smell in the basement and makes my life easier.

On another note, I bought the Floormate that came with the tools because I hope to use it to clean the shower. Hopefully it will work well for that and make spending the extra money on the tools worthwhile.

[+] 10.0 Must Have 2010
This is a great lil' cleaning machine. I read these reviews intensely before buying and must say I'm totally pleased. My house is 2800 sq ft heated and only the bedrooms and office are carpeted. This is a must have for wood, tile and vinyl floors in my opinion. Fill up the tank, Run the vac, Run the wash, Run the dryer, Empty the tank.... behold dry, PRISTINE floors. Sounds like a lot of steps, but I'm assured I'm not walking around on dried dirty mop water. The vacuum is great for everyday once-overs, to keep down on dust and pet hair.

I'm giving away my old swiffer vac... and the dry and wet pads I continuously went through.

really.... LOVE IT!!!!

Semi-Cons:
Smaller Tank - but really who wants to deal with pushing around gallons of water. The tank will clean 1 to 2 standard room or 2 to 3 bathrooms.
Vacuum - perfect for dust, dirt, hair and "light" items, but don't expect it to replace a regular vacuum.
Timing - the whole process may seem longer than say a swiffer or mop (not that big a difference), but the results are cleaner and quite shiny.
Flat Surfaces - it takes longer and is less efficient on my grooved/jagged tiles.
Corners - your still probably going to have to whip out a sponge to get the crannies, hopefully your room is octagonal.

Anyone who is complaining about the above items is totally missing the convenience of the all in one features and the reality that this machine not only scrubs but picks up the nasty water a mop would leave behind. In fact I'm sure they do not have the OCD tendencies I have. I'm amazed by the drying!!! I didn't have any problems with shipping or what have you... if it breaks I'd be willing to buy another. Haven't used the tools yet... but they were not the main reason I bought the machine.

[+] 8.0 works great on tile floor
I did a lot of research before deciding on this floor cleaner. It worked really well on my tile floor, I tried out the grout scrubber attachment and the reach around toilets attachment and liked them both. I was even able to clean crayon marks off the tiles! The dry vacuum worked great and the wet vac really made the floors dry quickly. I used it with the wood floor brush and had great success as well although I am disappointed that your wood floors have to be in practically perfect condition or else the brushes will cause further damage. I noticed a few blemishes on my wood floors and I'm not sure if I will cause more damage in the future by using the floor cleaner on it. I just got this for Christmas and have only used it one time so far but I really love it and I'm happy with my choice!

[+] 10.0 great product for the price!
It's great to be able to see the dirty water as you clean - forget the steam cleaners with pads that you have to clean after wards. This unit is very easy to use & lightweight - I love it!

[+] 6.0 Don't expect a miracle from this machine
I bought this machine to clean floors which had been previously cleaned with a Shark Steam Cleaner (That's another review, but take heed and DO NOT waste your $$ on one of those!. First let me say the Hoover is not remedial-in that it will not work a miracle on floors that are in desperate need of deep cleaning. However, it beats the Shark in that it actually scrubs and cleans rather than just steam and get some of the surface dirt. My thinking is that I will have my floors professionally scrubbed and then use this machine to maintain them. It's just not powerful enough to thoroughly clean built up stuff.
The Hoover machine is easy to assemble and use. I did it all myself and I am no mechanical wizard. Using the machine to clean is a no brainer too. I don't like that the cleaning solution compartment doesn't hold more than a couple of cups and needs to be frequently refilled. I've used the sample bottle and need to get a reg sized bottle to continue.
All-in-all I'm glad I got this machine (At least to this point), and think once I just need to maintain the floors it will work the way I need.

[+] 4.0 Works about as well as a mop
This works but isn't any better at cleaning than a simple mop. It also isn't any less work than a simple mop. Not worth the money.

[+] 8.0 I can see my grout again!
Our new home has about 2000 square feet of white tile with beige grout and it was pretty dirty when we bought the house. Add in 3 people, 2 cats and 2 dogs and it hasn't gotten any better. I have tried several other products in my quest - some would say obsession - to get the floors truly clean and none really met my expectations. The Swifter mop worked reasonably well on the tile itself but didn't clean the grout and I would use an entire bottle of cleaning fluid and 4-5 pads every time I mopped the floors. We then tried the Shark steam mop which again worked reasonably well on cleaning the tiles but not so much with the grout. Before we spent $.49 a square foot to have our grout professionally cleaned, we decided to try the Hoover Spinscrub and I am so glad we did.

I read a lot of the reviews on the website here before purchasing and even though the grout cleaning reviews were not sparkling, I thought anything must be an improvement. The Spinscrub has been great! It is lightweight, maneuvers well and really gets the floors clean! The first time I used it, I was amazed by all the dark, dirty water getting sucked back up off the floors. This was the first time you could walk about in stocking feet and not have dirt marks on your soles! It is very easy to go back and forth between scrubbing and wet vacuuming and the floors are practically dry when you are done.

This weekend I tried the grout brush attachment and all I can say is "Wow!". I purchased the Hoover grout cleaning solution when I bought the machine (although it does come with a sample bottle) and since our grout was especially dirty I added 3 ounces of cleaner instead of 2 to the solution tank. It worked like a charm! The grout attachment sprays a line of cleaner directly into the grout and the brush has nice stiff bristles to clean the grout. Best of all, the attachment has a suction port that pulls the dirty water back our of the grout. It did take me some time and effort but overall it was pretty easy to get our grout back to normal.

Overall I would give this product 4 stars. There are some minor drawbacks -- the spinning brushes seem to fall off pretty easily if you try to carry the cleaner rather than roll it to a new location and the grout brush bristles are pretty much done after cleaning about half our grout -- but overall it has done a great job on our floors and I would definitely recommend it to others.

[+] 10.0 Love this cleaner!!!!
This is the second spinscrub I've owned...this new model is even better than the first. I have three dogs who are constantly tracking dirt onto my hardwood floors and this really makes keeping them clean so much easier. I would highly recommend this to anyone suffering from back problems...much easier on your back than a mop. Thanks for making a great product even better!

[+] 10.0 Hoover H3060 Floormate Spinscrub 800 Wet/Dry Vac
This is a well made product that met my expectations I have hard wood floors and tile. I love the way this cleaner sucks up every drop of water and leaves the floor squeeky clean. It is easy to operate. I am very satisfied with this product.

This is a great product - since I have so many hard floors. Need to go very slowly with it or it wll miss things.

[+] 2.0 doesn't last very long
The machine does what it says, it scrubs all kinds of floors and sucks up the water, but the motor goes bad quickly, in fact mine stopped working after less than a year, and I've had two 500 models burn out within a year also, so much as I liked how well it cleaned my floors, I'm going back to a tried and true mop.

Bottom line, not worth the cost, motor doesn't last, easily burns out.

[+] 8.0 Can't Complain Since I Hate Cleaning
Since it's unlikely I'd get down on my hands and knees as frequently as the floors require it, I'd rate this cleaner 4 stars.

The Hoover doesn't scrub corners or sides as well as you would, but there is an attachment that can help you do it (it's not perfect but it's good enough). The bright side is you won't have to get down and dirty and close to the grime with this baby. You could clean your floors in a dress and high heels and not get a speck on you or sweat in the slightest. So for that, it gets an A+. Your floors will be clean, and with all the tools that are included, you don't have to touch anything near the toilet!

I didn't like the cleaner that was included because of the smell and the fact that it is not environmentally friendly. But you can buy any cleaner to put in with it as long as it doesn't suds up. I usually clean with a diluted cleaner a couple times, then go over it again with just water (I have hardwood floors so I don't want to leave any cleaner on them). Like other reviews, I haven't had to use the "dry" function because if you go slowly enough and don't press the squirt button all the time, the machine will suck up most of the water itself, and the floor air dries in a minute or two. If you clean more often than I do, you can probably just go over the floors once, but like I mentioned, I clean the floors about twice a month (I do Swiffer every day, and you will have to vacuum before cleaning).

The only downsides are - doesn't get into the nooks and crannies as well as I'd like, even with the tools, and you absolutely have to vacuum up every crumb before scrubbing because this puppy only scrubs and doesn't suck up all hair and stuff that's already on the floor. But seeing that dirty water in the waste tank will make you feel lots better about your floors and how clean they will be after you're done!

[+] 8.0 Surprisingly Good
I've got a giant tile floor. Sick of crawling around with a rag. Mops don't work, don't scrub. This works!

[+] 8.0 Exactly what I expected
My Hoover H3060 Floormate arrived exactly the day they said it would. Very well packaged, even came w/ some unexpected samples so I was able to start on the cleaning right away. Does the basic cleaning, my water was almost black, however it does not scrub in the grooves of heavy textured tile. Overall does a much better job then just a mop.

[+] 6.0 Pretty good cleaning
I have had a previous spinscrub, and I bought this new model. It is a fast way with minimal muscle to get a clean floor. This particular model doesn't have as much brush contact with the floor as my last one, which I kind of miss. Some other drawbacks is that it doesn't make the floor really shiny, and the scrubber can be too wide to get into small places, or under cabinets, etc. The pluses are that it is fast, it cleans thoroughly and is pretty convenient to use.

[+] 8.0 Love it but don't be illusioned.
I love this machine! I'm not a great moper, nothing ever seems to get clean that way and I can't get past the fact that you're essentially spreading around dirty water by the end. Therefore this machine is fabulous for me! There is a seperate compartment for the dirty water. You use it like a carpet cleaner, lay down the solution when you go forward and pull it back up when you come back. It allows the solution to soak into the messy spots and leaves the floor pretty much dry by the time you're done. You do have to go slow though, but it works fabulously on my kitchen tile. There are draw backs though. If you want to get into corners you will have to use attachments, and the attachments will lay down solution and do have bristles on them, however they don't have any rotating brushes so you're back to power by "armstrong" so to speak. For those of you with babies and tile floors it cleans well, but don't illusion yourself that it's a magic machine. If your kid throws sweet potatoes on the floor and you don't clean it up right away, leaving it to dry in the grout you will have to use a little elbow grease to get it out. However it gives great peace of mind that my one year old can throw everything he wants on the floor and as soon as he goes to bed, 20 minutes later the place is spotless and I didn't have to break a sweat to make it happen. I highly recomend this for anyone with small children or a great deal of hard floors. I read all the reviews and heeded the warnings from those who got models broken right out of the box, so i bought the insurance plan from amazon. However, I've had no problems from the machine as of yet. I've had it for probably six months now and it still works like a dream. I don't use it as a vacume though, just a wet floor cleaner.

[+] 10.0 hoover H3060 Floormate
We received the item within a couple of days and I used it right away. It was great. I use to wash the tile floor by hand as so not to stain the grout, but with 1500 sq ft of floor it was a bit much. The floor vac works just as doing it by hand without soar knees. I highly recommend it.

[+] 8.0 Does the job
I've a large area of several tiled rooms to clean. This does a good job. But if you really want to clean grout, this is only adequate. The hand held extension for grout cleaning is not motorized, and it might do better if it was. Overall, a good product so far.

[+] 10.0 No more floors
Had the original floormate about 8 years and decided on new one. Gave old one to neice. This one is way better. Much more quiet (still loud) than old one. Works a lot faster. Would recommend to anyone with vinly or tile floors. Did not use on my hardwood so can not say about that. Very happy with it.
