Doesn't work real well.
We got this before we bought the electric dirt devil and the reason we bought the dirt devil is this really didn't work. It did an OK job o hard surfaces and did a very poor job on carpets. Pass.
The only positive thing I can say about this product is it has a sturdy build. It does not pick up very well and it is very difficult to navigate. This will be returned. Think I will try the swival sweeper.

Leifheit Rotaro Carpet Sweeper -
This has to be the most excellent manual vaccum I have used, it picks up everything, even dog hair. The only draw back to it is the dirt tray, it is open on one side, of course to empty, just be aware when you pull it out which side is open. I have cleaned as a pro and would recommend it to any business or household, it is not like the other manual vaccums. Kind of high priced compared to others, but does everything it says it will.

Best Carpet Sweeper I've used
As a high-rise condo building manager, I need a good carpet sweeper to clean the carpet hallways in-between weekly vacuuming. Other carpet sweepers I've used took several strokes and still missed lots of bits and pieces, causing me to either go over it again and again like a crazy person or to bend over repeatedly to hand-pick up the small bits of trash. I even tried electric carpet sweepers but they still miss a lot and die after only a few floors. So frustrating!
The Rotaro is the best carpet sweeper I've ever used. It weighs a little more than the rest but it picks up everything the first time and makes my job a thousand times easier! I love it!

This is my second one. I use it daily, and the old one didn't wear out, someone took it!
