This was a great accessory for the GSP I purchased. Made it easy to carry and was well made.
Protects gps pretty well. Didn't give it the extra star because of the wide loop. It's a little too wide to use it with a 'biner instead of having to wear a belt.

ANTonline will STEAL your $$$$ Money!
I bought this from ANTonline.
This product does NOT fit all Explorists as their advertisement says.
It is not even close to fitting the Explorist XL.
I returned it in perfect shape.
I spent nearly 30.00 with shipping both ways and ANTonline refunded to me $2.43. The extra shipping was their fault and the restocking fees are ridiculous! I advise you to NOT throw your money at this poisonous enterprise.

Essential GPS protection for when you're not navigating
This lightweight Magellan carrying case for the eXplorist series GPS weighs in at a mere .9 ounces (25.5 grams). It's made of Cordura nylon, not canvas, with a soft tricot fabric lining and it has a nylon web strap loop sewn on the back that will accommodate up to a two inch belt. Unfortunately, a negative is that the description says there's a belt clip of which there is none.
The case is thinly padded with one small nylon pocket sewn inside that will let you carry a pair of AA batteries and the little plastic box that an SD card comes in or a spare rechargeable LiIon battery.
The padding affords adequate protection of your unit when it's not in use while allowing the case to be flexible enough to keep it from digging into your waist line.
If you must have a belt clip, keep looking; otherwise this well-made case will offer essential protection for your GPS without weighing you down.

I like the belt strip, very secure!
I had a case for a Garmin GPS and it was just a belt clip that you slide on and off your belt, and unfortunately, it can come off your belt (which it often did) and you can lose your GPS unit for good.
This eXplorist case comes with a real nice strong wide and secure strip that you have to undo your belt and loop your belt through, so when you are out hiking, you don't have to keep checking and be afraid it fell off your belt, because there is no way for this case to come off without you taking your belt off! NICE!
It's not just a loop of string or rope either, it is better described as a belt or strip of tough material attached real secure to the case.
True, you can't quickly slide the case on and off of your belt as with a clip, but why would you need to take the case on and off, you take the GPS out when you need it and the case stays on the belt where it is safe and can't get dropped or lost.
For $7 this is a great case. I can get the GPS in and out quickly and easily. I like the secure, yet easy to open zipper as opposed to the velcro flap that my Garmin case has.
The only negative I would have is that I would have liked the padding to be a bit thicker, but I suppose I can always slide a strong piece of leather or something into it on the inside to better protect the GPS from an impact to the case. There is enough room to do this and still be able to get the GPS unit in and out without problem.
What else can you buy for only $7 today?

Better Products Available
This is kinda cheap. The case has very little padding. It's too large for the Explorist GPS. Batteries fall out of the interior pouch at times. ...not belt clip.
There are much better products available at this price.

Belt Clip I think not
It fits the GPS well and protects it pretty good. But the belt loop instead of the clip is a let down. Most of the time I'm in motocross gear and don't have a belt. It would be nice to clip it somewhere. Oh well live and learn.
I am an avid GPSr user and geocacher. I bought this thinking it was like one I had seen with an industrial strength belt clip, but it was a belt loop instead which is not as versatile.
It also took Amazon a second time to send a case that fit my Explorist rather than another Magellan model.

No Belt Clip - GIP
It says it comes with a belt clip when in fact its only a loop strap attachment for your belt, thats if you can fit it on your belt.
Hey it's a case that holds your gps. what can really be said about it. other than the belt strap could have been wider. I planned on carrying it on my camera strap but it don't fit. It should fit on most belts unless your a redneck with them wide as* belts.
