In my handyman business, a small powerfull vac is a must. I've had several Dirt Devils, tried Oreck's Power Brush, and sent it back, because it, like the Dirt Devil handhelds are toys; their motors are wimpy. After trying the Vac n' Blo, I finally found a vac that isn't a toy, yet it's so quiet, you don't think it's going to have good suction, but it does- enough to run the optional power rug brush, which the Dirt Devil couldn't do without a belt powered by the motor. Why less than perfect? No attachment storage, and wheels would help, but they make you pay extra for that. But in the end, if you want a compact vac that's not a wimp, this baby is for you.
I use this Vacuum for my auto detailing company. It is compact, powerful, easy to clean out and comes with a lot of useful attachements. The hose is flexible and well made. I will br buying more of these.

Unit breaks faster than my $70 vacuums from home depot, I have two of these and both are busted. The case, which is made of metal and feels very solid has clips that break after a while and won't hold the top on. Also, if you step on the hose, it bends permanently and doesn't work as well and clogs after that.
My dad finally got a car vacuum he didn't want to return. For such a little vacuum it operates like a large house vacuum. My dad was really impressed. The various tiny crevice tool attachments lets you detail your car like the pros. The hoses is flexible enough that it won't crack or break so quickly. The only thing that I found as a disadvantage is it could really use a holder for all the attachments for the amount you're paying for the unit.
The exhaust on this vac, located on the back, blows everything in it's way..dust, papers, anything light enough to fly..all over the house or garage. It's also VERY loud.
I bought this for a car vac. I've only used it once so far, but it worked so much better than every other carvac i've ever used.
Pros: small; powerful; easy to empty; sturdy build
Cons: gets a little hot when in use for a while (however, it was hot in the garage, so i'm not sure how much that contributed)

Like buying aggravation
One of the two clips that hold the waste bag cover on kept falling off. The third time I had most of the dust bag contents back on the floor.
Metro offered to repair it but I'd have to pay shipping; I returned it to Amazon instead.

Excellent Vacuum!
Don't let the size of this small vacuum fool you -- this little model has the most suction I have ever seen in even a full-sized, top of the line canister model. It removed dust and ground-in dirt like I have never seen any vacuum do, and it brought the carpet nap right up.
This vacuum arrived safely and was well packaged to avoid damage in transit (I purchased the one sold by Amazon.com and not from one of the other merchants). I am very pleased with this purchase, and I know I will have this vacuum for my car, boat, and house for many years to come.
This particular 4.0 h.p. model comes with a number of accessories for detailing your car as well as for inflating air mattresses, etc. The vacuum also arrives with a document listing a number of additional accessories that can be purchased separately. By the way, it's worth purchasing the paper filters from Metro Vac instead of just using the cloth filter, so look into this too. (When you use the paper filter, that paper filter gets inserted inside the cloth filter to hold the paper filter in place).
