New Balance Men's M992 Running Shoe

THE SHOES ARE THE SAME AS IF I WENT TO A NEW BALANCE STORE BUT THE PRICE WAS $50 LESS.

These are awesome shoes - quality all the way!

I bought a pair because I liked the look and I could buy them in a 2e width.

They are very chunky - nice cushioned support with good soles. The fabric uppers are top notch quality.

You have to wear them about 10 times to start to break them in. I wore them on a vacation to Washington DC and walked about 5 miles - very little foot discomfort. Normally my feet would be toast but these really saved my feet!

The fit is neutral - ready to fit most people. You can dial in your size and width.

Even my teenager thought they were a cool buy (I'm 49 years of age).

The last NB shoes I had was long time ago....many years ago, when I switched to other brand sports shoes. Recently I ordered the M992. So impressed with basically everything about it (looks, comfort, feel), its just a great overall sport shoe. I use it for running, walking, daily activity. I Liked the feel of it - to the point that I had to place an order for 3 more pairs.... just in case, it goes out of production!!

It took a while to break them in, but after few miles they are comfortable and very stable.

I bought these for my boyfriend and usually he has to break in his shoes because he wears a size 13 4E. He LOVES these shoes. He says they're really really comfortable. It's a cool style, too.

I have been searching high and low for a shoe that feels comfortable. I have bilateral plantar fasciitis and the 992 is the only new balance running shoe that I can wear without pain. Very supportive yet cushioning. havnt used for running since I cant run with this condition. will buy another pair. Only problem is that heal is a little loose. I tried a smaller size and that was too tight though.

The New Balance M992 is my favorite shoe. I wear them at work where a hard surface really tire you out. I have lots of spring left when I wear my M992s. Great shoe, comfortable.

I've had 991's for years and was disappointed when I could no longer buy them. I eventually bit the bullet and bought the 992's and I must say I'm satisfied. I agree with someone else's comment that they run a tad bigger than the 991's. In the 991's my foot is just a tad too big for 10 1/2 so I've been wearing 11. In the 992's the 10 1/2 4E's are very comfortable.

Well te 992 NB are comfortable, is the best choice I`ve had make on running shoes, becaause they fit excellent, nice Amazon, as allways!!!!!

This is one of the best running shoes I have ever purchased. The cushioning and quality of construction is exceptional. The price was $30 below what a sporting goods store charged for the same item on sale at the store. You can still buy quality USA Made products if you look hard enough.

I bought these shoes for my son. He told me not to order on line because he thought it's a waste of time to purchase shoes without trying them on first. Once he tried them on and wore them he named them "The most comfortable shoe in the world". He said he couldn't believe how comfortable they are. He weighs almost 300 pounds and is over 6 feet tall.

I always buy NB but have shyed away from this model cuz it's not much on looks and the price is steep. But i found a good deal and gave it a shot and i'm glad i did! it is by far the most comfortable runner i've had. i wish it could be a tad lighter but everything else is A+ and well worth the $.

The dealer was good in communication, as well as quick shipping. This is my fifth pair of NB M992, so I think that speaks for itself!

I've been using New Balance running shoes for over 25 years and they have never given me an injury that kept me from running, a record other shoes I've tried can't match (I first tried a pair of Z-coils, which both perform and hold up well but felt as is I were running on stilts. Then I bought a pair of ASICS Gel Enduro 3 Trail Running Shoe Mens and promptly gave myself a case of shin splints that took a full year to heal (how was I to know they were for trail running? You mean people run on TRAILS?)

My favorite models are/were the New Balance® 550 Cross Trainer and the 992.

I started trail and desert running in an attempt to run on a softer surface, but when I did I twisted my ankles in the 992s so many times that I eventually used those Asics on an actual trail (and they worked so well I wore them out completely, they are totally falling apart.)

I will probably replace both the 992s and the Asics with a pair of Mens New Balance 908 Trail Running Shoe, which are supposed to be good for both the street and for trails.

So, would I compare the new 992s to my first pair of NB? In truth they are almost certainly better shoes, but the leap from Army boots to Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Lo Top Black to NB was such a huge jump forward that its hard to match when you are comparing a bunch of high quality running shoes. The bottom line? I've never gone wrong with New Balance and the 992 is no exception. Firm, no shin splints, and no bad knees either. Worth the price and made right here in the US, too.

I was looking rather for long distance walking shoes than running shoes. Up to now I didn't care much for $100 pair of sneaker. Walmart was my second friend and whatever I needed I had bought over there. But the price difference makes difference for my feet and knees on the hard surface when I explore the city. It is extra cushion, extra soft landing which makes those shoes so enjoyable to wear. For my occasional running and frequent 2 hrs stairs steps in a gym I use another pair of shoes Mizuno Wave Rider II. They are lighter, have better "ventilation" and overall better fit for these tasks. Definitely a New Balance M992 shoes will be on my feet and hitting streets of Rome when I will explore the city

Good running shoe - light weight and good arch support while keeping a solid hold on the the whole foot.

Ive owned 8 pairs of these since the 990's. It's quite simply the best running shoe ever produced. The durability absolutely blows though. They wear down so quick at the end of the line I always swear to myself no more. So I try another brand I read is good. Three weeks later I try on a pair of 992s, roll my eyes, and think they got me again. I get the gray ones and I think it also looks the best out of all the shoes too. Its a classic.
Durability: 3-4 Everything Else:10 Worth every penny.

I'm not a runner, so I can't comment on that feature. I use these as my everyday shoe. These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I like them so much, I am now buying my 2nd pair and retiring the older ones for yard work. I'm glad they haven't retired this model.

I have purchased New Balance shoes directly from their company for almost two decades. The running shoes (i.e, M962, NB2001, M992 GL, etc) had been a perfect fit to my feet, and I have felt very conmfortable and soft when wearing them (8-1/2-4E).
The current shoes (8-1/2-4E)are stiff and my feet feel tight when wearing them. I don't imply blame on the seller, but this is the first kind of experience with New Balance shoes.

This is my second purchase of this series of shoe (previously, the 991's). I like the fact it is made in the USA and seems to be good quality.

Although these are expensive shoes, my last pair lasted 4-5 years and that is my expectation with these. Most of the cheaper shoes ($50-$79) are marketed for "6 months" before they end up in a landfill.

These shoes have good cushion, and are comfortable.

This is a top-of-the-line running shoe. It may not be flashy, but for nearly five years now, the 992 and its predecessor have been the only shoe for me.

A GREAT SHOE FOR THE PRICE. THE SHOE IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND LIGHTWEIGHT. I WAS ALSO IMPRESSED BY THE QUICK DELIVERY OF THE SHOES.

This is the standard for all those who have running problems such as pronation, wide feet, and over 190 pounds. Designed to prevent injury. Heavy and solid in construction, not designed for the sprinter, more like the linebacker who runs. Good for around running 220 miles. Maintains heel, ankle, knee, hip alignment with heel shank. Not a trail shoe.

A great shoe for me. I have been troubled with heel spurs, but with this shoe and a little stretching I'm okay.

I just puchased the New Balance 992's on Amazon. I had been using the former model 990 for many years. The puchase was smooth, the delivery as promised and most important- I love the shoes and will stick with this model for a long time. Good job Amazon (as usual).

I previously had 4 pairs of the 991s. Now that they are discontinued, I have moved to the 992. This shoe is the most comfortable shoe that I have ever owned. My work requires that I stand on my feet for 12 hours a day on concrete flooring. These shoes remain comfortable, reduce back and leg pain and wear very well. I only use them for walking and standing. Great shoe and I will always buy these shoes for comfort. They are well worth the price.

These shoes are great for walking or running. They hold to the same high standard New Balance is noted for. No buyers remorse here!

Was sort of talked into buying these things. Yeah, they're very, very comfortable. Love them, really. Treat them like a pair of ruby slippers, I do. But for this much money? Sheesh! I paid $120 for the 'cool gray' ones, but if I got a different color, I could have paid less. Why is that? Same shoe, right? Different color, you get a slap in the teeth for it!

I'm happy with my purchase, don't get me wrong. But I'll stick to something cheaper next time. After all, these things'll wear out just like my last pair did (paid $40 for them), and probably in the same amount of time too. Tried to rub the sides and wait for the genie to pop out but no luck. Almost rubbed the N off the side of the sneaker. For $120 I was expecting something more than this.

Ths is my 3rd pair of the 991 series. The new 992s are great- even better than the 991s Grab em off the shelf!

I've had these running shoes awhile now and after a lot of wear, they are still in grear shape.

They arre very, very comfortable.

In the summer I don't feel that my feet get overheated. And I wear them hiking in winter time too.

I highly recommend these shoes.

especially made for people with flat feet.
You will know this if you run or jog and you tend to land on the outside of your foot and roll inwards towards the arch.
very comfortable also jsut wear around the house and office.

I am on my 2nd pair of 992's after owning 3 pairs of the previous model the 991. These shoes are fantastic whether I am running on a treadmill or out about town. They are very versatile with their conservative styling that make them look like a fashion sneaker as well as have the function of a running sneaker at the gym. Overall I have been very satisfied and will be buying more - WELL WORTH THE PRICE!

My husband loves these shoes. He used to wear the 991 but they quit making them. He really likes the 992 now. And the fact that they are made in the USA makes it really worth the money. They last a long time.

It's a crime that so few shoes are made for people with narrow feet. Some major manufacturers carry nothing but "medium" and occasional extra-wide widths. From the 1970s, New Balance company has made a point of offering various width shoes -- though not in all models. These M992 shoes are the latest iteration of a model they've produced for years, and if you've got narrow feet they may be the only shoes on earth (other than certain hiking and work boots) that truly fit.

The New Balance Men's m992 are the best running/walking sneakers. Comfortable like a glove. Worth every penny.

This is a good shoe for a veteran runner. The runners that buy this shoe are mostly return customers.

I have had a really bad experience in a New Balance Store. The owner of the store told me that he was not associated with New Balance. I am not sure how that could be true.

I've been wearing NB for 10 years and for me its the best we can buy.

I also have Nike Shox but I don't recomend if you are looking to pratice sports.

If you need wide size shoes, you will be very happy with NB. Very satisfied with the shoes.

I initially started with the M2000. The NB website stated best comfort, best support...etc so I went for it. When I tried running with it I felt a lot of vibration and shock, so I wrote to NB to enquire why? My weight at that point was about 78kg.

NB told me maybe my weight is too light for the shoe and suggested that I go for the 991 instead, which I found to be a lot more comfortable. Now a few years later the 991 is worn and falling apart, time for a replacement.

I found the 992 cushioning hard, like the 2000 (then maybe its not run-in yet), other than that build quality is good. Just wondering whether I should have spent a bit more to go for a MBT instead...

I've been running with NB for many years because it is the only running shoe that makes a 9AA. It performs well as advertised.

The shoes are great. I run three miles a day and started running in these the day I got them without any issues.

I use these shoes for running on treadmill and outside and I find them very comfortable.

I've never spent this much for shoes before but have been pleasently pleased with these. The bottoms of my feet were hurting after runs with my old shoes so I invested in these. I only run apx 10-12 miles a week but can tell a big difference. No pain. Money well spent in my opinion. Oh yea, and I LIKE the conservative grey shoes!
