[+] 8.0 Very good vaule (performance for the money)
The microphone could have a louder volume, but it works just fine. Excellent value for the cost.

[+] 10.0 great investment!
this was a great inexpensive investment for our office. The office member who uses it daily even wants to buy one for home!

[+] 2.0 not a fit for the phone
I can't really say how well this headset works, because it did not match for use with the Vtech CS6219-2 DECT 6.0 Expandable 2-Handset Cordless Phone System with Caller ID and Handset Speakerphone (CS6219-2) that I purchased at the same time. It IS comfortable to wear, but that is as far as I was able to get. I thought I was doing my home work, because it was listed as something that was frequently purchased by people who also bought the Vtech phone, but I didn't realize that the plug jack was not a match. I am hoping I may find a use for it yet. A little misleading if you are not into the minute details of these devices.

[+] 10.0 a real good buy
I bought one of these last year. Liked it so much, recently bought another. The sound quality is excellent, both ways. It's comfortable to wear. No one can tell that I'm talking on a headset. I have read negative reviews about headband breakage. However, this has not been a problem for me. For the price, this is a great product.

I agree with so many of the reviews that said this was a great value for the money. It has clear quality sound and an excellent microphone. My wife loves it.

For my ear, it requires another cushion however the fit is firm and the mouth piece actually reaches your lips ... thank God!!

[+] 6.0 so so
Price is ok I guess. It works with my Uniden cordless phone. Another similar set I have on hand does not work with it.

Callers say I sound ok on the other end, and while I can hear callers ok I cannot hear myself talk through the earphone. I'm not sure if it is supposed to work this way or not.

It is too tight on the head. It could use a volume control. It kinda looks stupid with the huge mic ball at the end. If had to do all over, I think I would have looked for something with an inline volume adjustment (my phone comes through TOO loud on it) and an unobtrusive mic end.

I bit on this 'cause of the price and the enormous amount of reviews. Too many to read through. Amazon should start deleting the oldest reviews as product materials change through their life span, and some degrade their quality over time, but the reviews remain, often skewing the overall ratings with past postitive reviews when the product is currently different.

[+] 2.0 Mic stopped working, Panasonic won't replace it
This headset was OK - not great, not bad - but stopped working after the 90 day labor warranty period.

Panasonic customer service says: "...we recommend sending the product to our Customer Service Center in McAllen Texas. The product will be replaced with a reconditioned model for a fee. Please send the product along with a letter to explain the problem..."

That's not worth the effort, so, another piece of plastic junk is heading toward a landfill near you.

[+] 8.0 READ CAREFULLY
The headset is good, I guess. My problem is that I don't know if I didn't read carefully or if it doesn't say but the headset jack is 2.5 millimeters and it does not fit my computer's entrance. I had to buy an adapter to convert it from 2.5mm to 3.5 mm in order to have it fit but turns out that you can only use the mic and not the headphones. I know it's not amazon's fault but this thing is useless to me for that reason so make sure that your computer has a 2.5 mm entrance otherwise it won't fit. FYI the 3.5mm entrance is the one most headphones have and the 2.5 is smaller than that.

[+] 2.0 On my Panasonic cordless phone, no one can hear me clearly
On my Panasonic cordless phone, even if I place the microphone right up to my mouth, my words are truncated. Works fine with my old Uniden cordless phone, and also works with my Verizon LG cell phone.

But for Panasonic -- a piece of junk. Buyer beware. Invidious, as this headset is produced by the same company that produces the phone itself.

[+] 8.0 Good for ocasional use- gone through 3 in 3 years
Out of the headsets I've used for the Panasonic phones, this is definitely the most comfortable I've tried. It has a clear sound, and a fairly good micrphone.

On the cons side is the durability: I've purchased 3 in 2 years specially because the cord can easily break.

All in all: a good product for ocassional use, not a great one for the demans of a work environment, but witht he price it has, its pretty good.

[+] 6.0 a bit let down
I got two of these to use in the car, one for me, one for my wife.. my wifes wored fine, mine didnt.. my phone has a 3.5 mm jack these have a 2.5 mm plug, i went to radio shack to get an adapter, it didnt work so i bought another, different one, still wouldnt work so i gave mine to me wife to use in the house so she can talk hands free at home too... well, her pair she uses in the car died, (lasted from christmas till about feb. 2nd) so she went to use the second pair.. and ... nothing, the thing is dead. oh well, life goes on, you get what you pay for.. so now we both use the real blue tooth head sets, a bit more expensive but at least they will last a little longer and no wires!!!

[+] 2.0 I can't believe I bought this again!
This headphone is very uncomfortable to wear - it is too big, so if you snug the headband to your skull, it collides with your ear (I do not have a small head) if you don't snug it up, it slips off. You cannot adjust the end of the head clip and it digs into your head at a sharp angle. If you try, you will snap off the end. I would return this but the shipping would cost almost as much at the unit itself. I wish I could give zero stars for durability and wearing comfort.

There is no volume control or mute.

the mike is too big and it gets in your way (when it is not sliding away from your mouth.

I would not have bought it except that the picture was lacking enough in detail that I did not notice it was the same as the one I already had. There is no product number or model number on the unit itself.

Ack! I HATE this product!

[+] 10.0 Excellent basic headset.
I use this headset with Panasonic cordless phones, and it works great. Sound quality is excellent, and it was very inexpensive. While it's not the fanciest headset, it's great for occasional use around the house. Highly recommended!

[+] 4.0 Made for tall skinny heads
I can hear better through the headset than through the handset and callers say they can hear me better too. But.....

As a tall and slender adult male 6'2, 175 lbs. I usually complain about clothes, devices, etc. being too small. This headset is almost great with one major drawback. Adjusted to the smallest setting the pressure plate (non-earphone) side is JUST above my ear and and squeezes my head uncomfortably tight. If I adjust it any larger to make it looser and stop the "migraine squeeze", the pressure plate with its sharp plastic literally cuts into the top of my ear. I wrapped it with mole skin to make it bearable, but I am disappointed.

[+] 8.0 People don't know I'm in my car
I got these phones to use exclusively in my car during my commute. I've tried several 'dangle from the ear' models and have found them all inadequate in terms of clarity, mic volume, and earphone volume.

This product is the best I've found. It's a bit annoying to have to put the thing on, but once I've gotten over looking like a dork I can take comfort from the fact that I can hear my callers and they can hear me. Most callers are surprised to learn that I'm calling from my car. With other hands-free devices it always sounded like I was in a cave.

The headphones allow for good volume, unless it rains. When it rains I always wish I could turn it up a bit more. This is the reason I gave them four instead of five stars. The good news is that the speaker is very clear, so even at when it's raining I can carry on a conversation (I just have to listen more intently).

Yes, the boom mic is dorky, but I'm willing to trade fashion for function.

[+] 8.0 Great value for under $10
This is the first time I've purchased a hands-free headset for the home office. I have it paired with a Panasonic DECT 6.0 cordless phone (KX-TGA641C). Reviews on Amazon were good and at $10 ($9.97 to be exact) I was willing to give them a shot.

PROS
- Good sound quality...about on par with the sound quality through the phone's own speaker.
- Comfortable for short periods of time.
- Feels sturdy for the 1 month I've been using it.
- Headset isn't sleek or stylish but it looks professional enough.
- Affordable at less than $10.

CONS
- Speaker volume is good but I'd say only 85% of the power of the phone. I would love for it to be a notch or two louder.
- The grip from the headband is a bit tight and I can feel a squeezing sensation during long phone conversations. Then again, I have a really big head, so this may not be a problem for most people.
- No mute button.

Overall I am very pleased and while I have a few minor gripes, consider this a great "value" purchase. Recommended for anyone looking for a no-frills headset that works as advertised.

[+] 2.0 Durability is problematic
I bought this headset back in June 09. The sound quality and price are great, can't complain. But a problem developed in less than two months that people cannot hear me from the other end. I did not have time to think too much about it. It is not expensive enough for me to return it. Panasonic can't tell me that the problem is with my phone. It is a Panasonic phone! So here is a one star rating for a low tech product that cannot last for more than a few months.

[+] 10.0 PlatronicsKX-TCA60
I bought this head set because the reviews were favorable and the price was right. I think the headset is a little tight, however, it may loosen with wear. I find the earpiece comfortable. I use a headset because I work from home and need to speak on the phone while typing. I don't have a mute button on my phone and would have liked to have one on my head-set. However, my last head set from platronics was 2ce as much as this one, had a mute button, but only lasted about a year and I only used it a couple of hours a day, if that. So I'm hoping this set will last longer...we'll see... I've been using it about a month now and people say that they can hear me and I seem to be able to hear them well.

[+] 8.0 Good headset for the price
I have purchased two of these headsets in the past 2 years. It is a good product for the price. There is no volume adjust or other features but I don't really think they are necessary The only real downside is that it isn't that durable. If you are dependent on it you may want to order a backup because they usually break with normal-heavy use in about 6 months to 1 year. This time I found that the earpiece isn't working, I can't hear the caller but they can hear me. I read that this can happen from moving the microphone around which causes the wires inside to bend and eventually disconnect.

For the price I think it works well when it does work... how long can you expect a ten dollar headset to last?? I can hear the caller and they can hear me. It is pretty comfortable to wear and I love that it gives me the ability to do a lot of things while I am talking. I currently ordered a different brand to see how it compares to the panasonic. I may be coming back to purchase a third headset.

[+] 4.0 Cheap microphone makes this on a poor value
Bought three of these for the low price and the Panasonic name.

But people whom I call ALL tell me that the sound of my voice - via the headset's microphone - is awful. So I'm upgrading to a $20 headset to see if that's any better.

If you use a phone and headset professionally, this one's not for you.

[+] 10.0 Had this one for over a year and love it
The value for price of this headset is amazing. It's not perfect - the lapel clip slips down the cord - but for $10, there's no way to complain. As long as you set the microphone reasonably close to your mouth, this headset will provide almost perfect fidelity (as good as your phone provides). I'm using it with a Uniden set, but have also used it with a Panasonic. It's not indestructible, but it's survived over a year's use and shows very little wear. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

[+] 2.0 Broke too easily
I wish I could buy the same Panasonic headset I bought some years ago; it lasted for a long time with heavy use. This one broke the second time I tried to use it. It was not particularly comfortable and took some patient adjustment to make it so. (Perhaps I'm just not built for this style that loops over the ear.) I was satisfied with the sound quality.

[+] 4.0 Great comfort and Excellent Sound - Poor Durability
The headset is comfortable and works just fine. Sound quality is great. I plugged it into a Panasonic multi-line phone from the late 1980s and it worked perfectly

However the plastic frame broke after a year of very gentle use. The plastic frame is quite brittle and very thin in some parts.

I have refrained from rotating the microphone because it creates static every time I've done that. This makes me think, as others have already noted - the wires may be prone to breaking.

At about $10.00, this headset represents a good value. But it is a throw away item and for the price, I guess I should have expected that.

As noted, my Panasonic hard wired phones have been exceptionally reliable and have been used daily for decades.

[+] 10.0 Great!
Do you suffer embarrassment and poor audio when talking on you cellphone with other headsets?

Do you need to bellow to be heard in a loud environment?

Are people unaware you are on a headset and think you are talking to them or just scary bat-guano insane?

Tired of recharging a battery and the Borg look?

This product will solve all you problems!

A really long microphone boom ends up in front of your mouth, even if you have a giant head. You may now mutter very, very, quietly into the microphone like the more genteel insane person and you will still be clearly heard by your caller, even in a loud car.

The microphone boom has a foam windscreen on it the size of a de-shelled edible snail, so the microphone and headset are very obvious. People know you are on the phone and presumably no longer think you are deranged.

Some sort of powerful noise cancellation is in this unit, The noise you get from walking next to a running city bus does not get through to the other party.

Overall much better than I though possible.

[+] 10.0 xbox live and more?

Reviewer [A3EAXO4PWEPFGR] | Date [November 16, 2009]
[+] 6.0 Great for listening, not so great for talking
To start, I'm using the Panasonic KX-TGA101S handsets.

The NET of my review is that the headset is quite comfortable and has great sound quality in the earpiece, but people on the other end still say my voice is faint, faroff, quiet, etc. If you need a comfortable headset to mostly listen (e.g. on long conference calls) and talk infrequently (i.e. you don't mind raising your voice for short statements) this is a great value. If you do lots of talking, I'd keep looking or be prepared to sustain a much louder voice.

Highlights:
Bendable Mic boom - allows you to fit the mic to your face size and aim it well at your mouth; you can also get the mic really close to compensate for the poor microphone volume.
Foam cover on the Mic - reduces your light breathing noise and eliminates wind noise if you take your phone outside.
Headband - the notches in the adjustable headband are quite firm so when you set the size of the headband it stays where you put it!
Soft ear cushion - it's very comfortable to wear this headset for long calls.
Sound quality of the ear piece - Volume and quality of the sound you hear is great.

Let downs:
Sound quality of the microphone - I purchased this based on the reviews that mentioned this headset was much better than Plantronics headsets people had tried with the Panasonic phones. I too tried that and got comments that I was too quiet (though I could hear perfectly through the Plantronics headset). This headset also gets the same comments that I'm too quiet yet I can hear perfectly. I rate it a 3 because I don't always get the comments - so I make due with this and if I do get the comments I just bend the microphone boom closer to my mouth (to the point I'm practically kissing the thing).

Durability of the earpiece/headband connection - the plastic connection between the headband and the earpiece is pretty fragile. The first headset I ordered arrived broken in it's package even though the Amazon box looked like it had received only a minor bump. My new one is fine, but I'm very gentle with it now.

[+] 10.0 Great little Headset!
I work at home & was looking for a reasonably priced headset & this is it! I often have conference calls that go 90 minutes or more so a headset was the route to go. I really like the way it fits as it adjusts with a swival earpiece & can fit snuggly against you ear.

[+] 10.0 Sound great on both ends!
I've owned several headsets over the years from cheap to expensive and this set outshines them all.

These have the best sound for both parties that I have used. The listener can hear me much more clearly with these and visa versa; in fact, I had to turn my phone down a notch.

The ear pad is snug and comfortable, no need to press to hear clearly as with others I have used. The other side is a bit rigid above the ear but my hair is really fine so it probably wouldn't bother most or could be remedied easily with a small bit of padding.

[+] 8.0 One of the best bargains I've found for a telephone headset
I spend much of my day on the telephone, so I've gone through several headsets over the years. Based on the price, I bought this one as my "backup" for the next time my primary goes out. I always hate paying $20-$35 at the retail stores because those headsets barely last a year. I've had this Panasonic over a month now, and it has become my primary headset. It fits well, and no one has any trouble hearing or understanding me on my calls. I took one star off for durability because it feels stiff, so I constantly feel it's about to break. I took one off for usability because the cord is a little shorter than I'd like, but it is also a little longer than you get on the ones in the store. Other than those two minor things, I love this headset and highly recommend it. I'm planning to pick up another one as "backup" on my next order because you can't beat it for the price.

[+] 8.0 Great headset for price
I have used this headset daily (maybe an hour or two a day) for about 10 months and it has been great. People can hear me, I can hear them -- excellent qualities in a headset :-) It is not super comfortable or super adjustable, but it's really just fine. I love having my hands free. I use it with a cordless phone and just carry the phone around with me if I need to move around the house. If I need both hands, I will slip the handset into my pocket if I have one, or "make" a pocket out of whatever shirt I have on both folding it up and securing it with two clothespins! don't laugh! My 14 year old thought it up, and it works really well.

Single big downside, this headset is cheaply constructed and the headpiece snapped (non repairable) after 10 months. I just ordered another one, but feeling slightly guilty for using something I know is not durable and is not recyclable.

[+] 10.0 Panasonic Quality...As Always
I needed a basic, lightweight headset for extended or successive phone calls. Since we have two different Panasonic cordless systems in our home, this caught my eye. I've experimented with similar units, being disappointed each time, so I expected little.

This product is perfect for general use. I like its simple design--no batteries, no power switch, no volume control--less to break. The phone volume conrol provides ample range and excellent clarity. In fact, I find I can hear and respond more clearly with this headset than using the phone in either normal or speakerphone mode. The biggest advantage is that I can speak handsfree without the need to constantly repeat myself, move the phone to be better heard, or shout over barking dogs, blaring audio or outside traffic. We live near a busy airport and there is no interference. All the handset buttons (mute, hold, redial, etc.) are fully functional in headset mode.

I wear the headset for a few hours at a time and it does create a little discomfort after a long period. I find, however, I can push the earpad off my ear and contiue to hear and be heard with no problem, when the volume is up.

The Amazon price, combined with no shipping or tax in my state, makes this an especially great bargain. So, if a basic, lightweight, uncomplicated, high-performance headset suits your needs, get this one. I've only used it on my Panasonic cordless phones, so I can't say if it is compatible with other brands. Haven't used it with our AT&T cell phones, but will make the attempt and report back. As for durability...I haven't had it long enough to attest to it's strength, but the dog hasn't discovered it so far. Hard enough keeping him off the phone...

This is terrific value for the price. This headset is much better made than my old GE, which consistently broke every 6-8 months. This product is sturdy, comfortable and the sound is of high quality.

[+] 2.0 For people with miniture heads
the set did not come close to fitting over a normal size adult head.

I had to return it immediatley
