[+] 8.0 Easy to add extensions
We were happy we had purchased a phone that made it easy to expand with additional extensions when needed. My only wish is that there was a "redial" button on the handset. Only one is on the main base.

[+] 10.0 Amazing!!!!
I have owned several of these Panasonic phones for a few years and they have been bulletproof flawless!!!!

The sound quality on the speakerphone is incredible, which is the way I typically use them.

The speakerphone sounds so great, it almost sounds like the person is in the room with you!!!

Panasonic is very, very impressive!!!!!

[+] 8.0 Great/reliable system
I've had the system for years and wasn't sure if it would work in a bigger house - but it works brilliantly. I actually bought a system with higher (6.0) Ghz and it was not as good as this, I guess they don't make 'em like they used to.

[+] 2.0 PANASONIC: A TERRIBLE choice
Spending extra money on a "name brand" phone with 3 wireless handsets and caller ID seemed like a "smart move"....WRONG!! Problems began from the very start, even problems with PANASONIC CORPORATION keeping their word and replacing the units. First, the calller ID did not work very well on all of the phones- intermittent at best. This was a poor choice because we used the phones in our business, from the base unit to the office to the workshop-- we could hardly ever tell who was calling or who had called.

Several calls to technical support gave help but nothing changed the problem. Then we received AUTHORIZATION WITH a customer reference number for a complete replacement of all phones! The authorization was received within the 12 months warranty period. But ah-ah-ah. They did not receive the units within the 12 months warranty period, by the time we stopped trying to run the business long enough to buy replacement phones to use while they were being returned, locate packaging, pack and ship out by UPS. Panasonic Corporation received the phones but REFUSED to REPLACE THEM!!! but wanted $127.50 to repair them (HALF AGAIN THEIR ORIGINAL COST)!

Many frustrating callS to PANASONIC CORPORATION Customer Service ensued citing the authorization for replacement. This still ended in denial and refusal to help. More calls to supervisors ensued (after all a purchase of over $225 for phones should be worth something). Still refusal to keep their word to replace the phones.

Finally, another supervisor authorized the one time replacement of all three phones. She said she would email me a letter confirming this authorization --- ANd NEVER DID!! I faxed to her all the correspondence, model #'s, serial #'s, work orders as she requested. Some time later I get a refurbished base station with 2 of the phones but not the third phone.

[+] 4.0 Falling sound quality on both handsets after a year
Have had no issues with the base station, though I use it with Vonage, so I don't use the base station's voicemail feature. After about a year the sound quality on both handsets is dropping off badly, both in speaker mode and non-speaker mode. One handset is worse than the other.

The phone arrived on time and was easy to install and use. The sound quality is very good and the battery charge life is much better than the much shorter life my previous Panasonic phone had.

[+] 10.0 Very Satisfied
The phone I was looking for was a Panasonic extension phone that is no longer made. This seller had them in stock & was the most inexpensive for a new one. I ordered it & was amazed how quick it came & how well it was packaged. I will definitely buy from this seller again.

[+] 8.0 one of the better 2-line cordless phones available
This is probably one of the better 2-line cordless phones available (and there aren't many). I tried the Motorola 2-line phones first, but after 2 years ALL of the LCD viewscreens were not readable. There could be an improvement in the range (especially through brick walls) in my opinion. Spead speatrum technology and phonebook sync between units is good.

[+] 6.0 aaahh---ok
this phone is cool but it really lacks range. i would have thought i could go further before losing calls..nope. Each phone has a individual phone book which could be cool in certain situations but is a real pain because every phone in my house has different numbers. it is a pain to sync each phone with the household phone book. if i grab the wrong phone it may not have the number i need in it. the answering unit is only ok it does not have very user friendly controls for saving or reviewing messages after a period of time.

[+] 2.0 Phones do not ring
Do not, under ANY circumstance, attempt to increase the ringer volume on the handsets. I have a six handset installation in my engineering offices and every single handset which we attempted to increase the ringer volume STOPPED RINGING ENTIRELY. This is a programming error on Panasonics part, because we changed the ringer volume setting exactly according to the instructions. Now we have a silent system. The only way to tell if a call is coming in is by watching to see if the light on the phones start blinking. Fine if we were the Deaf Institute of America, but not so good for a busy professional engineering office. Two Thumbs Down.

[+] 8.0 Decent and not too expensive
The handset units can be "echo-y" sometimes, but I've had that problem with other phones sometimes also so maybe it isn't the equipment. Handsets and base are good quality (not outstanding, but more than adequate). Headset is good also. Sound quality is good. Erasing voice messages is kind of a pain, since you have to do it during playback (or at the end just before it stops telling you date/time info). A little cumbersome to page through and I am not that fond of the design of the placement of the buttons (not very accessible). But it works well and I am happy with it for the price.

[+] 10.0 2 Line Phone
This phone is great. Clarity is perfect. Easy to use. Only complaint as with all digital products, the answering machine can only accept a message of a couple of minutes. In my business, I often get messages that last 5 or 10 minutes. This necessitates the caller to call back two or three times to complete the message. Other than that inconvenience, it is a super phone.

[+] 10.0 best 2-line phone
We have owned this phone for 6 month plus now and it is the best 2-line phone that we have purchased. The reception is clear and there are a number of adjustable features. We especially like the ability to check messages from the handset, and the phone book which can be accessed through the handset is also very convenient. Our second line was originally only accessible from one room in our house, so we bought another handset that now allows us to answer both lines from everywhere in our home. It's rare that a product I buy has almost no downsides, but this is actually one of those products.

[+] 10.0 does what it needs to
I have been happy with this phone system since I used it to replace a previous Panasonic whose line-selection buttons had stopped operating. The menus are intuitive and the features are fine. I haven't activated the answering system yet, but I have received a call on it, since the phone has a default of answer on. Seemed to work well. The small form factor of the base unit was attractive to me. I needed to customize which phones and which lines rang, since I have a home office I try to close at reasonable hours, and it was possible to do that with this system.

[+] 10.0 Exceptional Phone system
I have had the base and two handsets for a year now. I have owned other phones and had problems that ranged from noise to low distance. I have a large home with an unattached garage. My shop is about 100' from the base. I can use the phone without disruption anywhere in the garage or house. I have a standard phone line and a voip line. I use both on this set. You bet I would recommend this for others. I've had nothing but good luck with it.

[+] 6.0 Love having extra handsets
I made a mistake, I was reviewing what I thought was our new cordless home phone. But it was actually supposed to be for the extra handset we got with the new 2-line cordless set we also bought. So please excuse my review on this particular item as it's written before this one.

Thank You!

[+] 10.0 Great Phone
The original phone, which I use exclusively in my home office, came with 2 handsets. Sometimes I am on the phone all day, so the 2nd handset comes in handy if I blow thru a battery.

I ordered this 3rd handset as an add-on to use downstairs. The 2-line feature allows me to also answer my home phone as well as my business phone. Upon arrival, I plugged the new handset and programmed to locate the base unit (one-button). This took all of 30 seconds. Fast, easy, powerful signal and great clarity.

This phone does not come with the optional belt clip, which is about $1. If you plan on using a hands-free headset (I recommend Plantronics), the clip is a must. Panasonic's customer service is great - they will help you locate the part (which costs more to ship than the clip itself).

Great Phone!

[+] 8.0 Love them
I love theses phone. I bought 4 of them to use in my salon. It is so much more professional to transfer a call to stylist then to call out to her. They are very easy to use, except when I have put the handset on speaker phone, I can not get if off until I end the call. I can't find directions about that in manual. But I am sure I will figure that out someday.
The calls are clear and easy to hear even over the hairdryers.

[+] 10.0 Great sound quality, easy to use with great features
I have owned the base station for this product for quite some time. It works very well. I bought the base station knowing that I would need to add extensions at some point. I went over the reviews posted before I purchased two of these expansion sets.

I'm not sure why some reviewers say the sound quality is poor. It may be their choice of "phone companies," rather than the phones themselves. Many of the cable companies offer phone service and it's of really poor sound quality when it's compared with the AT&T or Verizon networks' landlines. Anyway, the sound on all of the sets is fine.

I especially like the fact that the expansion sets work off the base station. You don't need a telephone jack in the location of the expansion set and they stay charged in their cradles.

One reviewer wrote that it was too complicated to register the expansion sets with the base station. Huh? It is a simple operation that is spelled out in the short manual that comes with the phone and the instructions are even displayed on the phone's screen when you first insert the battery. All you do is go to the base station, hold the intercom button until it beeps and then press OK on the expansion set and it's done!

Lastly, I decided to order two more.

[+] 6.0 Difficult to hear
I typically love Panasonic - but I was disappointed in the sound quality of this phone and the design. There's no way to prop this phone on your shoulder and you can't add a shoulder grip from an office supply store because if you put a mini-grip on the top, you cover up the speaker and if you put it on the bottom, it covers and crosses over the battery door so you can't replace the batteries.

[+] 10.0 Panasonic KX-TGA670B
Added a fourth handset to the system, originally purchased about a year ago. Absolutely no complaints. Coverage is excellent throughout the house, garage and back yard, voice quality as good as any wired phone, battery life excellent. Perhaps a little pricy, but it is a 2 line phone. I have no problem paying for a quality product.

[+] 10.0 Excellent
First Item was DOA which Amazon quickly remedied. Has been running for almost 2 years with 5 handsets in my busy house with a standard Telco line on Line1 and a VoIP provider on Line 2 for periodic working from home situations so I don't tie up the primary line.

Good sound quality as well I use a plantronics wired headset with my office unit for lengthy concalls and conversations.

Originally used a 2 Line Panasonic 2.4Ghz system KX-TGA2000 prior to this and it lasted for 5 years of great service.

[+] 8.0 Panasonic cordless handset
Phone works well. Because I am able to use it in a room without a phone jack, I can place it in any room in which I would like to keep a telephone. All I have to do is plug in the base. The sound may be a little less than crystal clear, but it is certainly clear enough.

[+] 10.0 Great cordless phone!
We purchased this phone along with the base set and have ahd no issues whatsoever with it. We run a small non-profit office and have three phones with two incoming lines. The different rings for each line were a plus, the messages on answering machine are nice and clear, the batteries have kept a charge well, the intercom has come in handy, and they are so easy to use!

All in all - we feel this is a great product!

[+] 4.0 disappointed
We liked these phones because we could add extensions. But we sent the first set back because the caller ID didn't work with our digital service. On calling Panasonic we were assured the caller ID should work with digital service, so they sent us another set, reconditioned even though we had paid for new phones the first time. The caller ID still doesn't work. I think we'll have to go to a different brand. We have MUCH older phones that the caller ID works fine with the digital service.

[+] 10.0 Very good 2 line cordless 2 line phone
I did a lot of research on before purchasing this phone system, there where some less than favorable reviews on sound quality so I was a little worried. The sound quality is fine, no real issues, the phone has a "VE" Voice Enhancer feature, it can make the sound a little weird, they attempt to remove background noise from the caller, I don't use it although it doesn't really make a difference it just sounds unnatural. It's a lightweight phone easy to hold, it did not come with a belt clip, it has holes for the clip they juse don't include it, that would have been a nice addition.
I choose 5.8Ghz so there would be little interference with the wireless 2.4Ghz Internet at the house, it's not mandatory to do this but I just did not want any issues with the wireless Internet. I did not compare 2.4GHz phones with my wireless although our wireless Internet works great with these phones at the house.
We had Siemens phones prior to Panasonic, the only thing we missed was that when you picked up the Siemens phone from the charger it answered the phone (at first we thought this was annoying but grew to like it) the Panasonic does not answer when you pick it up from the charger, you have to hit talk.
The speaker phone on the handset is great, it's normally on max volume, it's loud enough. It has a mute button which is great for long winded conference calls, you can set the phone down anywhere and listen while you carry on with whatever you are doing and not have to worry about the dog barking.
The programing and use is not very complicated it's somewhat intuitive. We have 4 handsets the intercom works good.
The range is quite good we get about 200 feet to a barn, it breaks up a little bit but is quite usable at that range.

[+] 10.0 Panasonic 5.8 GHz Wireless Phone - 2 line
The phone has exceeded my expectations. I bought an extra handset in addition to the two that came with the unit. Distance from base - superb. Ability to add or delete frequently used numbers - very easy. Menu features - none missing that I can think of. Has volume control, three way, caller ID, speaker, light weight and easy to hold.

[+] 8.0 third phone
We have a two line household and needed a two-line phone to answer either of the lines. This is now the third handset for the system and it works very well. The screen size is a little small, and it's difficult at times to quickly decide whether line 1 or line 2 is ringing for the incoming call. That's the major downside. Other than that, its fine.

[+] 8.0 Panasonic cordless handset
Panasonic cordless phones are the best, in terms of range, reception and clarity. This is not as good as the KX-TG5583PK, but it is still the best 2-line cordless handset, you may find, in the market.

[+] 4.0 Not the phone I was looking for
I am quite disappointed with this phone. The device is advertised as GigaRange. Well, you would expect 60 feet to be with in that range. Actually, I expected I would be able to take the phone to my back yard or even to the street and still be able to communicate. When I had a problem in my garage and tried to Intercom with my wife at home (about 70 feet) the connection to the base station simply died. Previously I owned the Panasonic 2.4G 4-line device (this one has 2 input lines) and it worked very well even as far as 180 feet. The KX6700 base station is located exactly where the 2.4G base station used to be but the reception is very poor.

Furthermore, I found the voice quality to be unacceptable. I can barely hear the called and all the handsets are set to maximum volume.

Other than that, the device looks nice and has good features. Memory, answering machine, intercom, call transfer, etc. are all working nicely. Still, I would not recommend this set to anyone who has a standard sized home. If you have a smaller home with not too many wall, this phone should address your needs nicely.
