Product Specifications

The Panasonic KX-TS105W corded phone combines flexible features, sturdy construction, and a value price. A 10-number speed dial allows you to program the most frequently used numbers into the phone and dial them with the touch of a button. The speakerphone allows you to talk without having to touch the handset; a headset jack offers an additional hands-free conversation option. A data port is integrated into the base, and dial lock and call restrictions are easily programmable, making this an excellent phone for family or home-office use.

Handset and speakerphone controls allow you to adjust volume levels to your liking (the speakerphone has eight levels; the handset/headset has four), while a ringer control lets you set the ringer to off, low, or high. A flash button provides access to call waiting, and the redial feature allows you to quickly call the last outgoing number. Tone and pulse dialing modes are included. Wall-mountable, the Panasonic KX-TS105W supplies a wall mount bracket in the box, and comes backed by a one-year warranty on both parts and labor.

[+] 10.0 Perfect for your home business
I needed a phone for my home business that had a headset jack and was also a corded phone. I could not find a phone like this in any store but a colleague of mine suggested that I check out Amazon.com and the Panasonic Integrated Business Phones. I am so glad that I did because this phone has fit perfectly in to my home business. The durability is great. I know this because I've dropped it a couple of times. There is a wall mount, but I just haven't hooked that up yet and the sound quality is excellent!

[+] 6.0 Requires batteries for speakerphone and memory
Previous Radio Shack speaker phone did not need batteries -- this one does. Battery life is said to be about 6 months, and batteries need to be changed within one minute to retain memorized numbers. Sound quality is ok.

[+] 8.0 Panasonic Business Phone
This phone works perfect for my job as a 'telecommuting' customer service/sales agent! There is an accessory port on the side to plug in my headset and I just press the speaker button to answer my calls. The sound quality is good. This was a big money saver as the professional head-set type phones are 3 times this price!

[+] 10.0 Great phone, great price
I have just started a small business and needed a phone which I could use a headset in on occasion. I priced and checked out quite a few phones which offered the same options for more money or options I did not need. The Panasonic Integrated Business Phone (KX-TS105B) was perfect, it came in the color I wanted and thanks to amazon I was able to save money even on the shipping compared to other sites. So far the phone is working fine even though the sound quality when using the head set could be better, some calls come in crackly when the speaker volume is turned up high but other than that a great phone.

[+] 10.0 Excellent wall phone for kitchen
I bought this as a wall phone for my kitchen after having several phones there which were unsatisfactory, including at AT&T phone. This one works very well, with good sound quality, a volume control, and a very simple and intuitive way of entering numbers into its memory. I am completely satisfied with it.

[+] 4.0 No Caller ID
This phone was everything I wanted but when it arrived, I saw that it did not have a caller ID screen. I think that in 2010 people assume that a feature like caller ID will be included in a phone, especially one with so many other features.

[+] 10.0 Works as a Phone!
Easy to set up low tone, shut off the ring soft and loud ring. If a call comes in it flashes and I find
when on hold for customer service the speaker is great to have. I only wanted a basic telephone
and thought with hold time having a speaker would be a plus! You do need to put in 3 batteries however having the red flash is neat if you don't wish a loud ring. The soft ring is pleasant and the big numbers
not so bad either.

[+] 8.0 Very nice
I like the phone. The speaker is very clear and volume increases sufficiently for "soft talkers" to be heard.

[+] 10.0 Good phone for the price
This phone is a good value for the money. It has good sound quality with both the corded handset and the speakerphone. Obviously the speakerphone is not the best option, but using it a couple times I received good feedback from those I was calling. I think this is a very capable phone in the price range.

I have no complaints with the phone. If you are in the market you may want to think about buying a phone with caller ID. I didn't think of that until the first time the phone rang. I am so used to having caller ID on my cel and cordless home phones.

[+] 10.0 Panasonic KX-TS105W
The quality of both handset and speaker phone volume is excellent. They are both adjustable. The operating instructions leave a lot to be desired as far as programing upper and lower keys. Thinking about buying one or more of these to replace Panasonic and Toshiba cordless phones neither of which provide anywhere near the same audio quality.

[+] 8.0 good performer
This phone uses batteries for its 20 station memory, and speakerphone power. This is a good feature because you can keep your favorites by changing batteries before they go dead(it gives you a minute to do so before losing memory)this should prevent you having to reprogram when power losses happen. All the other features work fine, and this phone sounds great.A couple of extra memory cards would have earned a 5 star rating from me.

[+] 8.0 Some People Like Cords
I wanted a simple, corded phone, but most phones in the stores are cordless... and the ones that had cords were really expensive business models. This Panasonic model fit my needs.

I use it with my cable company's telephone service, and it sounds great. There's a handy volume control, so I can crank it up if I can't hear the other party. A lot of times when I call companies, I'll get an automated answering service, but each company sets their automated system to a different volume. This phone's volume control helps solve that problem.

There is a handy headphone jack, but it requires a smaller headphone input than your regular headphones. (I think it's 2.5 mm instead of 3.5 mm.) Plus you only hear sound in 1 ear... but you're already doing that with the earpiece anyway.

There's no caller ID, but most callers (especially telemarketeres) show up as unlisted anyway.

[+] 8.0 just one complaint
The phone is fine - nice big buttons, a normal, old-fashioned handset that you can rest on your shoulder. BUT, you can't put the phone on mute while it is on the speakerphone. That means, when I'm trying to take notes during a conference call, I have to either mute it and balance the phone on my shoulder or put it on speaker and pray that the dogs don't bark.

[+] 10.0 Excellent Quality--Outstanding Features--Good Price
I wanted good sound quality and the ability to speed-dial a lot of numbers. This phone has all of that! You can write about 20 names on the card space at the top of the phone face, then dial by pressing the button beside it. You can also program the regular dial buttons 1-9. To dial, just press the auto button then a button 1-9. These do not have a name beside them, so the locations are known only to you, unlike the top section that has a card with a space for names. This is an excellent product, so far, and would be a bargain at 2 or 3 times the price.

[+] 6.0 Panasonic desktop phone
This phone was exactly what I was looking for. I needed it for my job at home. The one I have still works but you cannot find a headset to fit it. Well, this phone works well and I love that I can also plug my fax machine into it. However, finding a headset was not easy and turned out to be very expensive and with the headset attached the volume is minimized - I don't like this at all. If you don't need the headset part, its a great phone but if you work at home like me and need that - try another phone, don't waste your money.

[+] 2.0 Poor Choice
This product looks good but its performance was totally unacceptable. It had so much static and noise in the dialtone and on completed calls that responses were almost indescernable. Thinking I must have gotten a lemon I ordered a replacment, however the second phone had the same problem. I have returned it for a refund. I have had poor experience with Panasonic products over the years, this does not instill any confidence in their products as a whole.

[+] 2.0 Problems with handset
The mike on the handset is of poor quality and sound. The mike for the speaker phone is better, which makes no sense to me. With out the companion Hands-Free Headset no one would be able to hear me. If it were not such a hassle to return this phone I would have. Very much a disapointment from Panasonic.

[+] 6.0 It hisses
I bought this Panasonic phone after having excellent results with cordless Panasonic phones (KX-TGA520M). I needed a phone that would not require electricity for power outages and when my battery went dead from over use. The phone had the features I wanted (head phone jack, speaker, mute and no answering machine).

Unfortunately there is a persistant hiss on this phone. I tried it with a DSL filter and without and it makes no difference. The cordless is still crystal clear, so I use that phone 99% of the time.

Luckily we had the corded phone. Hurricane Ike took out our power for 4 days and this was the only phone working after the cell phones went dead.

[+] 8.0 Great phone, lots of features, wall-mountable (but..)
Dial Lock:
I didn't see this mentioned anywhere on the Amazon site, and it could be important to some folks, so before I get into other features -- this phone includes a dial lock that prevents anyone from dialing out except to one number (911 or another number of your choice) programmed into the "Emergency" button memory. Incoming calls are still received in this mode.

Sound quality and speakerphone:
The sound quality is great, through the handset, speakerphone, and headset (I have a Panasonic headset). The speakerphone has volume control, which is nice. You can dial out using the speakerphone, but to do so, you need to have the batteries (see below) installed. You can use the phone without them, but then you have to pick up the receiver in order to activate the speakerphone. Once you do, you can hang up and dial with the handset in place.

Wall Mounting:
This phone is wall mountable, but it sticks out from the wall more than I like -- about 3 1/2 inches NOT including the handset. With the handset hung up, it's about 5 inches. The phone itself has a slim profile, but the bracket that enables you to mount it on the wall makes it stick out, and when the phone is mounted on the wall, the bracket is very noticeable (at least with the white model -- the bracket is dark gray). The bracket goes on the phone easily, but NOTE that to mount it on the wall, you need a phone jack that has two large-headed screws (and my jack plate sticks out from the wall about a half inch, which doesn't help with the side view). The bracket has slots that fit over the screw heads and hold it nicely in place. You also have to flip the little hook just below the switch hook to be able to hang up the handset when the phone is mounted on the wall, but that's easy to do.

Batteries:
The phone uses 3 AA batteries for memory storage. (No AC adapter capability, but that's fine by me -- the last phone I had on the wall needed an AC adapter and I always hated the way the cord looked running from the plug up the wall to the phone). The compartment for the batteries is at the back of the phone, so you'll have to take it off the wall (and remove the bracket from the phone) to replace the batteries, but the bracket removes easily, as does the battery compartment cover (note that even tho it looks like it's in place when you first put the cover on, you need to push down a little more until it snaps into place). The manual says alkaline batteries should last 6 month (depending on usage). It also says you have one minute after removing the batteries to replace them before losing your stored numbers. I just tried it, and had plenty of time to spare.

Miscellaneous:
The handset phone cord is very short, but easily replaced. And there's a handy-dandy little nub at the top of the phone above the handset cradle that you can use to hang the handset on (without hanging up), if you want to go get a pencil or something while you're on a call, so you don't have to let the handset dangle if you don't have a shelf or table nearby.

Overall, I'd buy this phone again, and would recommend it to anyone who wants a basic, non-answering, corded speakerphone with volume and mute buttons (rare birds, these). Oh, and especially if you need the dial-lock feature!

[+] 8.0 Good Phone
This phone is just what I wanted...a simple speakerphone. Although some say they can't hear me well on the speakerphone, most ppl can. And the couple who can't - can hear me when I plug my ear bud into the jack on the phone - that is a great feature. I like the programmable buttons on top and can put in the names that are readable...not like the usual digital screen that is hard to see. Low ringer is very low and pleasant. I use an external CID box so do not need one on the phone. The lights make sense for speaker, mute, headphone, hang-up. I did not want an answering machine since I have voice mail on my cell phone. Also has a data port. Overall pleased with this purchase.

[+] 6.0 Nice phone, but the speaker broke.
This is a nice inexpensive phone, but the speaker quit working 11 months after I purchased it. I'm going to send it back and hopefully, get a replacement. Wish they made a higher quality product for home use. I'd gladly pay a little more for a better product.

Replaced an old AT&T wall phone. This is a nice phone, voice is loud and clear and the memories are easy to program. I only wish the wall mount bracket was more centered under the phone as it shifts it down on the wall about 3" from the previous phone. I'll have to get use to it.

[+] 8.0 This phone just works
Picked up this phone as a replacement for an older, corded phone which was very noisy. This phone works perfectly, the sound quality is fine, and the speakerphone also works well. The only caveat is that it needs a battery to be fully functional - but the good news is that even without the battery, it works perfectly as a regular phone.

[+] 8.0 Great phone, fantastic price
I needed a phone for the home office that was a speaker phone. I did not need a cordless unit. This does NOT need a power cord to use the speakerphone, only to use the memory dial. So I use it only with out the power cord and it works fine. The only issues ( and the only reason it is a 4 and not a 5) is that the speaker phone will not activate by the "button" on it's own with out power. You have to lift the handset and then push "speaker", then replace the handset, then it works normally. I would buy this again in an instant especially at the very reasonable price.

[+] 8.0 Panasonic the way to go
If you are looking for a old fashion phone/with afew up to date features.
This is the phone. It has bigger buttons, speakerphone is great, for no hands talking. It has memory speed dial. The selling point for me was it has a ringer that can be turned off. Have a 3rd shift sleeper in the house, and we can turn it off. (It's in the bedroom)
The 2nd selling point, was it's corded. So if the power goes out, the phone will still work, unlike a portable.Service was very fast. Over all
good phone for the money, I have another Panasonic in the cellar, and it's over 15yrs old, and is simular to this one.

[+] 10.0 Best speakerphone for the price.
I have been on the market for a decent phone for a while, and this one is simply the best bargain in ages.
Its styling looks outdated, but beside that, it's just what you'd want. Sound quality is ok, speaker is loud, volume easily adjusted, mute button accessible, just simple and functional.
I am a remote employee, and do a lot of conference calls, and this phone is just what I needed. The speakerphone function just works, which is quite remarkable, from my past experiences.
It requires batteries, however if you don't install them, the only thing you lose is the phonebook function (which I don't use). The speaker phone still works.
There is a headset plug, which I haven't tried yet, but it can only work better than any Plantronics junk (what a pure waste of money).
This is the type of product you just hope will stay around, and not be canned because it doesn't look good anymore... it just works!

[+] 8.0 Panasonic KX-TS105W
We recently purchased a Panasonic KX-TS105W to replace an aging but similar Durabrand (Wal-Mart) corded one line desk top speakerphone which had developed poor audio (line noise). We were specifically looking for a low cost no frills (no caller ID, no answer machine, no silly display, etc.) corded one line desktop speakerphone. The Panasonic KX-TS105W can be set on the desktop or wall mounted and comes with a special bracket for wall mounting. We have only owned the Panasonic KX-TS105W for about three weeks now but we are generally pleased with it. Its best features are the large buttons for dialing, redial feature, and of course the speaker phone. It also has features we probably will seldom use but can be handy including mute, hold, speakerphone volume control, handset/headset volume control, and 10 one-touch memory dial buttons.

Another key reason we purchased this model - and we researched a few low cost desktop speakerphones in this price range - was that the ringer volume can be set to high, low, or OFF! We prefer the off position as we have a wall phone in another room that is easily heard throughout our house and this phone is near my young sons room and we did not want it to ring. However, even if we could not hear the other phones ringer the Panasonic KX-TS105W has a red light that flashes when the phone is ringing - even with the ringer set to off so you can 'see' that a call is coming in - a nice feature. I dont recall another no frills one line desk top speaker phone that had a 'ringer off' feature.

Panasonic is usually a good brand name with decent quality/reliability but only time will tell how long it will last. We paid $33.53 with free shipping thru Amazon.com which we thought was a good price for what it is.

[+] 8.0 Panasonic Phone KX-TX105W
Purchased to install in a home occupied by a 94 year old. Extremely easy to operate and buttons of sufficient size to be useful. Speakerphone and other amenities work well. The phone has two registers for saved numbers - upper and lower with a button to select between the two. This caused problems if she accidently hit the button because suddenly the saved numbers would not work. We solved this by programming the same number next to the same button on both the upper and lower register. Now if she hits the select button it does not matter as the speed dial button will dial the number no matter what. Great value.

[+] 8.0 Good phone and good speakerphone!
We bought this because of a friend who is a long-haul trucker wanting to listen in on a worship service at our house, and our old speakerphone didn't work very well. As it turned out, our friend hasn't had occasion since to listen in (usually "on the job" on Sundays, our out of range), but the phone has worked beautifully, and the times we have used the speakerphone option, the ability to communicate with a group is much improved!

[+] 2.0 lousy speakerphone
I purchased this product for my mother, who uses the phone in the speakerphone mode almost exclusively. She had an AT&T speakerphone for 12 years prior to this, without problems. We thought we would give her a more up-graded phone and selected the Panasonic KX-TS105W. Big mistake! When people called her, they could only hear parts of her conversation. Entire words were cut from her conversation. Panasonic suggested to replace the "new" batteries with top of the line alkaline Duracell's, which we did. The phone still cut off words.A second call to Panasonic resulted in "send the phone to us and we will send out a re-conditioned one to you" I told them the phone was brand new and that I didn't want a re-conditioned one. They suggested I send it back to Amazon. I sent the phone back and re-installed the old AT&T unit,(good thing we kept the old one). Just wish AT&T made a nice new speakerphone, like their old one, but they don't. The old phone doesn't even use batteries and it works like a charm. So much for new replacements!

[+] 2.0 Beware of Panasonic warranty
I purchased this phone, but was disappointed with the quality of sound. I, also, was having a problem with a feature of the phone, but got that solved. However, when I contacted Panasonic, before I got the feature to operate, I was informed that my only option (if I could not get the feature to work) was to receive a refurbished model as a replacement even though I had purchased a new one. That plus having to pay any shipment charges to send it back to them seemed unreasonable. The Panasonic customer support people were extremely condescending, rude, and had a take it or leave it attitude. That was the final straw in making me return the poor quality phone. I will never purchase a Panasonic phone again.

[+] 2.0 Mike did not work
I got this phone because of high ratings for those with hearing loss. The headset and speaker were loud enough. The ringer was loud. However the speakerphone mike did not work. You had to yell right into it for the other party to hear and only some of the words could be heard. If the mike had worked I would have kept the phone. I am returning it for a more specialized phone, probably the Krown Starplus 45.

I purchased this 2 months ago... It has worked well (as I had expected). One thing would be nice to have is the ability to click on "Speakerphone" without lifting the handset. The documentation is not clear in this regard. I have tried different options but the only way I have been able to use the speakerphone was to first lift the handset... I need to do some online research to see if I am missing something.

Otherwise... the product is excellent!

Excellent sound, good feel of buttons. Very important - it has a mute function which has an indicator light. When I use this phone for teleconferencing, if I do much talking I found it best to use a hands-free headset - for others to hear me well, as well as ergonomics.
