Pioneer Cd-R55 Remote Control

My title says it all. The remote works, although I still have not figured out how to operate all of the functions of the stereo system using the remote.

I couldn't ask for anything better. I have only used the remote for iPod control and radio control and it works perfectly.

Although it was not something I expected, this remote control works well so far. I wanted a control that could work with the iPod as well. However, this one does not. Good product; does not meet my expectations.

I would have gave it 5 stars but it is big and bulky, plus I have not gotten ALL the buttons to work with this stereo and of course I have not tried them all neither. But Volume, ATT (MUTE), Channel up and down and I believe the DVD buttons work but have not tried them. I give very few things 5 stars unless they really work good, and are what I am looking for. The bulkiness (More like a home stereo remote) really shot this down to a 4 star Would have been a 3 star, but you will see why it wasn't in a second), and that is being nice ALTHOUGH this will prolong the life of the touch screen if you touch it less often and use the remote more, so that brings it from 3 stars to 4 stars. I have this installed in a Nissan Titan and there are very few places to put my remotes, and this takes up the space of about 3 or 4 small car stereo remotes. It is a remote though, and is better than looking at and touching the screen when driving.

works for:
volume
att "a must have for me"
changing radio stations or scrolling through presets
changing radio bands
changing source
controls all dvd functions
it can scroll through discs if you have a cd changer add-on or a built in 6 disc changer
skips through disc tracks.

does not work for:
adjusting any menu functions "with the exception of the built in eq none of this should really be done while driving anyway"

I have not tested with ipod control yet since my original AVH-P4100 was stolen along with my ipod before i got the remote."will update soon"

Overall it does everything i need it to do, I would 100% purcahse again.

I really wanted a remote for my car but this didn't do it for me. All I really need is volume and the skip forward and back buttons. It works as advertised but is just too big and there are too many buttons to use while I'm driving. It would however, work great if you like to watch a lot of dvds in your car.

i wasnt expecting all the remote buttons to work with the avic D3 so over all the shipment was fast it wasnt available for a while but as soon as it was in stock i ordered it
i cannt complain about the price too best buy sells it for 50 $ i got this for 19.35$

It is my first purchase on the Amazon site and carried out was excellent and much more experience when you have a constant monitoring of the product.

I bought this product for the Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD, I've been using this remote for about a month now and I like it. It makes watching movies easier for when you scroll though the menus or need to fast forward, pause, etc. Haven't used it yet to navigate the iPod function on the receiver so no opinion there. Really the only thing I don't like about it is how it's so big and bulky. There is alot of buttons to fit on it but I think Pioneer could've tightened up the spaces between them to make a smaller remote. Overall I like the product and don't regret purchasing it, I would recommend it to others.

i've only used the remote for a short time. the source button changes the source. the att button mutes the sound on dvd and ipod. volume buttons work with everything. the menu and top menu work very well with dvd menus, but not with ipod music. the subtitle button brings you to subtitle menu on dvd. i didn't have a dvd that has different camera angle's, but looks like it may work. i couldn't get the folder and disc buttons to work with anything. audio menu works, can change radio stations, go to prev or next on ipod songs. didn't get auto play, and book mark buttons to work. direct button turn the screen to a blank grid screen. the rewind, play/pause, and fast forward buttons work great on dvd's, not ipod. prev and next chapter buttons work great on dvd, not ipod. stop button stops dvd. back button for me didn't work. band changed fm to am. disp button changed screen to blank screen. ent button didn't work for me. the number buttons work to change radio stations you have set on your unit well. clear button didn't work for me. this does pretty much everything i want it to and is suppose to do. i only took one star off because the menu button didn't control my ipod music menu's, but worked very with dvd. also when the 7in sreen is tucked in it still works to control and change radio stations, prev and next songs and so forth. so far a few buttons i haven't gotten to work with my unit, but i don't regret buying it. hope this helps.

I didn't need this to operate the 3100dvd, but wanted it to use on trips (as the co-pilot) to change tracks on CDs and to adjust volume level. Works great for those duties, as well as mute function for when we answer the cellphone. Also works well for controlling DVD watching needs. These are found cheaply online, only con is that this remote is oversized, so it could fit all the function buttons. Otherwise it would garner 5 stars instead of 4.

to bad doesn,t have all the features to comand the unit, even is bulky

I got this remote mostly for making DVD watching easier (the touchscreen controls are pains in the butt to get to) and it certainly has done that. It's a little bulkier than I was expecting, but not too bad.

After using the product for a few days, it worked pretty well. It allowed me to change chapters and tracks easily, as it should. My only real complaint is that there is no integration of the iPod menu functions. There is no way to browse through my music while using the remote. I really wish this feature would have also been included.

Used with my Pioneer AVH P4000 and some of the buttons utilize the features on my receiver, but some of the buttons on the remote don't do anything at all.

The volume, att, source, forward and back are the only bottons that work on my reciever. still nice to have sometimes but most of the remote is useless.

Attention iPOD owners: This remote control only works for changing songs and volume control, it does not work to change/view playlist or anything else within the iPOD. That is why I didn't rate it with 5 stars.

For the rest, you can be sure it will do what it is supposed to do, change stations (radio) and full control on DVD movies.

Works good, I am able to control my AVIC Pioneer system with this. I am happy with the product.

A first the remote did NOT work at all.I pulled the little strip that is located @ the bottom pointed it at my radio and....nothing. It didn't work! But I removed the battery,put it back in.gave it a smack and it has been working proper. So just make sure the battery is touching the proper way. I hope this helps,,,,

i was told this remote works for the AVH DVD, but when i used it only the volume and source buttons work. check functions first

control is useful and works well, but we can not handle audio options, and functions from remote cotrol.

The unit is for my Suburban Pioneer DVD unit. Remote works great, looks great, fits perfectly in my top console for use.

If you are wanting to purchase this for a pioneer navigation unit, (.i.e., AVIC D2), please reconsider. This remote only controls very basic functions. Useless in my opinion.

Works great with my AvicD3 a bit big but slim, controls radio great. When it comes to CD's I thought I could punch in the actual number on the remote for a certain track cause visualy it leads you to beleive that you can, having a 10 button for selecting double digit tracks on the remote. Well you can't. It does however control my DVD player great! It also does not control any of the MAIN menus or the navigation menus including the bluetooth menu. BUT for the price very satisfied would purchase again!

So if you bougth a dash-in pionner radio, you should order this, It's perfect, may be a little big, but that's because it has lots of functions.
