Pioneer CDI200 Direct Cable for iBus Headunits and iPod (Black)

Put this on my wifes stereo before installing it and when I was done it does as it says. I have no complaints and is pretty solid.

Does not charge Ipod at all!! Does not go with the Pioneer 5100DVD that Amazon has it paired with. Be careful!

I purchased this cable for the Pioneer AVH-P5000 DVD. I read a few reviews that said it wasn't compatible with the iPhone. I was skeptical at first, but I decided to give it a chance. After installation, I connected an iPhone 3gs, and it works perfectly!! The only flaw is that it doesn't charge the iPhone while connected.

I like being able to operate my iPod through my radio....the only downfall is unlike other cables that plug into the bottom , this one doesnt provide a charge for the iPod. So , if your going on a long trip, bring your car charger for your iPod.

This is exactly what was purchased. Though it wasnt compatible with my stereo, the cord is very sturdy and seems like a right match for what it is supposed to do. So before buying this product, check many times in many places to see if this is compatible with your radio. i ended up buying a different cord because replacing the stereo wouldve been very expensive ($80-$500+), I have nothing bad to say so dont take my word for it. just be very cautious.

It only takes a few minutes to hook up and works fine i use it on my old iphone (1st gen. the only thing is that it wont play the video but for the price i couldnt complain

I bought this along with a pioneer 3100ub cd player. My plan was to mostly be using my ipod for music. I thought that maybe because my head unit had a "ipbus" connection, I could attach this in the back stealthly and use the USB on the front for other media. Apparently "ipbus" (head unit) is not "ibus" (cable) and this cable did not work with my head unit. I actually figured it out hours after I ordered the pair just by looking at the two connections, but it was too late to turn back...

Moral of the story: This cable will not work with the pioneer deh p3100ub.

I bet it works great with the head units it was made for. I hope this clears up some stuff for others out there who were in my same boat.

I bought this ipod cable thinking it'll charge ipod touch. It works fine but it doesn't charge it. This doesn't help me out, I drive trucks for a living and my ipod touch always dies on me on my long roadtrips. The description for this item should be changed since it doesn't charge most of the new generation ipods and ipod touch.

Received it faster than expected so it sat on a shelf for a couple of days. The cable installed on the head unit easily and works as advertised. It's great to be able to operate my Gen4 iPod Nano with my radio's remote.

Works great! Works very well with my iPod Nano 2nd gen, but not perfect with my iPod touch 1st gen. On my touch you have to wiggle it around a bit to get it to work, but overall it works and thats all i cared about.

the cable plugged into the radio with no problem. When my Ipod is plugged in it sounds perfect. this product does what is says.

Worked great on our Pioneer DEH-3000IB car stereo!We are able to control the Ipod through our stereo thanks to this cable.

Although the DEH P6500 has an IP bus connection on the back,the cable that was shipped to me will not work. It is totaly different. You may want to check that you are getting the correct IP Bus connection before you waste your money and time. I now have my stereo hanging out of my car and no connection for iPod. I shall think twice in future.

This was the last piece of equipment i needed for my pioneer head unit, works wonderfully with my 30Gb ipod 5th gen.

It a simple ítem, it's just a cable bit it's ver helpfull when you want to Control your ipod from other device....

I bought this with the Pioneer DEH-P3000IB in-dash receiver, and it does *not* charge iPods or iPhones, despite the claim in the tech specs. A different head unit might support that, but this description should really be changed to indicate that it works only in some cases. The product does what it's designed to do, but two stars for misleading presentation; without charging it's no more useful than using the aux input -- actually less, because it also locks out the device controls when attached.

Works great, even charges her 1st gen iPhone. But, it won't charge my 3G iPhone... the only downside.

I love this thing! I bought it because I was sick of having to plug 2 cables into my iPod to use it in my car, it eliminated 1 cable AND I get better quality sound!Not to mention it was easy to install. I am now finally using my stereo to to it's full potential.

Very inexpensive solution for adding an ipod to your car radio. Combine with a Pioneer head unit (as low as $100 total) for endless hours of music.

I was pleased with the cable as when I bought my pioneer receiver and my ipod I did not knwo this cable existed. I was excited to find out about it and had it installed right away. I was thrilled until the ipod stopped working, and then I found out that in my set up the receiver does not charge the ipod. When I connect the ipod the ipod screen says "charging is not available with this accesory" this was really bad news for me as now I need an extra cable to charge it or I have to take it out and charge it separetedly which was not the idea. So, make sure the charging option is available with your receiver. My receiver is a pioneer DEH-P5950IB.

I purchased this unit along with a Pioneer DEH P3001 cd receiver and this is a winning combination it does every thing that they claim. you can control your i pod from the unit or from your i pod itsef.

works great, i love having the iPod controls up on the dash. Easy to install works as advertised.

I know a lot of people are frustrated by the lack of video play when used with newer iPod models, but I don't own one and quite frankly prefer the video quality of true DVD playback. If I want to watch a downloaded video I'll plug my laptop into the audio input of my head unit and enjoy the 17" widescreen display. This does everything I need it to!

very good product. Very easy to set up. Just plug it in to the stereo and into the ipod and your done. the only reason for 4 stars is because of the fact the now there is a wire coming out of the back of my stereo..whatever.

No video playback with newer iPod models (nanos, iPod touch, iPhone). Audio interface works fine.

Worked great when I first bought it! But I updated the software on my IPod and POW!!!! No more video to the head unit(Pioneer Avic-D3)! Not the cable's fault, but it's still 50% useless to me now. Works great if all you want to control is music!

A simple cable that gives you complete Ipod controll on your deck, better than any other type of ipod adaptor product I have ever used and there have been many.

This interface cable works great with the iPod but not so great with the iPhone...in fact, not at all. When the iPhone is connected, the phone does not charge and you will receive an error on your head unit's display. The phone will then ask if you want to switch to airplane mode then play only the last album in your library with no option to control the music.

The purchase was just perfect. I received the product I wanted in time. I install it with my new DVD player Pioneer AVH-5900 and it works just great. With the old system it was very complicated to operate the iPod but with this one is very simple.

Except that my husband and son took a bit of time to thread the cord behind the unit and create a reasonable "ipod holder" out of the ashtray(in a 1989 Olds-too "old" to understand Ipod cords).....THIS IS A SMART BUY!

All his music is easily transported from house to car without any bulky adapter boxes swinging around the dash.

The cable combined with the Pioneer stereo sounds great! Since the speakers had to wait for Christmas - I'm very impressed with the sound coming from the old Olds factory installed speakers. I can't wait to hear the quality with new speakers!

I am NOT anxious to ride with my son, though. But, when I was forced to accept a ride from the airport in the "music-mobile", I was impressed. Although the Pioneer's remote is rubberbanded to the top of his center console and he uses it like crazy - he never looks at it! The 30GB Ipod stores a massive library of music. It was a relief to only notice a flick of the finger to the remote as we sat at a stoplight. I realized - he's likely a safer person on the road than I AM! My time at the stoplight is spent fishing INSIDE my console to see if there is anything I'm not sick of hearing already - then fumbling to eject from single CD player, swap in fresh disc...then as the light changes and traffic is moving again - I try to keep glances quick as I fumble to recase and return the replaced CD into the center console. If the console lid jams - well - Just hope you aren't driving the same road that I AM! Take the newbie teen driver road and stay safe! He's watching the road AND choosing music from a library bigger than I would've dreamed possible at his age! STAY SAFE AND ENJOY LIFE....PACK YOUR POD AND GET THE CABLE!

ever since installing this, i've enjoyed driving 10x as much. i honestly can't live without it. i no longer have to take out the navi cd just to listen to music. i used to burn cd's with 18 tracks. now i have 18gb of music to choose from. you can also watch ipod videos with this cable. i can't see myself ever going back to cd's.
