Rainbow Women's Narrow Strap Single Layer Sandals

I bought a pair of rainbows, at 50 bucks, for the same reason that I'm sure anyone does; the "lifetime" guarantee. After two months of daily wear the bottom sole wore thru to the middle sole so I contacted Rainbow and this is the reply I received:
"I'm sorry, but wear and tear on the sandals is not covered by the guarantee. The life of the sole or top sole depends on the wearer of the sandal. Some peoples sandals last longer than others.
Personally, I can wear into the middle layer from the bottom sole in one month. It does not mean that the sandals are defective, it just means that I drag my feet a little. Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do for wear and tear.

DO NOT BUY RAINBOWS! for the guarantee. If you like leather flip-flops that cost twice as much as reefs and last a third of the time then these are the flops for you. Otherwise your money will be spent better elsewhere.

I've had rainbows for more than a year, but I've had to replace them (using the "lifetime" guarantee) more than three times now. The stitching in the strap keeps coming out, but paying $5 shipping for a new pair of flip flops is worth it. Once broken in, they are very comfortable and are molded to the exact shape of your foot.

i love my rainbows! i had 2 pairs before that were the thicker straps and i love them but i wanted the thin strap pair. and they were SO much easier to break in. i wore them to disneyland to break them in and i was fine. the thin straps didn't tear my skin or anything. and they are so comfortable. i love them. and the shipping was quick also which was great.

I was not a savvy shopper when I bought these. The salesperson got me when she told me about the lifetime guarantee. Lies! The guarantee covers manufacturing defects ONLY until the sole gets worn down. Basically, the "lifetime" guarantee for my rainbow sandals was one year, which is when the sole broke through to the "soft colored insert" -from rainbow website.

I cannot live without these flipflops. I love Rainbows and always need to have a pair. Never has a pair broken on me -- I've gone through about three in the past 6 years because I lose them or mistreat them. They're durable (just try not to get them too wet too often), match with everything (if you buy the original color) and are very comfortable. I have recently started wearing the more girly skinny strap, but the normal ones are just as good. It takes a couple days to break them in, but no crippling blisters.

This is my second pair of Rainbow flip flops. My first pair is still in great condition - I wanted a second pair of a different color and style. I love them!

I love my rainbows. I bought them in dark brown about three years ago. I live in Texas so I wear them almost every day, pretty much 9 or 10 months out of the year. They are still in pretty great condition. They have my foot print in the bottom, but the soles and straps hardly look worn.

This is my first pair of Rainbows, but I already know they won't be my last! I wasn't sure about the right size to order and called Rainbow. I was told that the best fit was a snug one to start. If your sandal just slides on without a hitch, it's too big. Don't worry, though .. the leather stretches and molds to your foot. I wear a 7.5 shoe and bought a ladies medium. Perfect fit! I love the arch in the sandal .. and may try the double arch for the next pair. Thanks, Rainbow and Amazon!

I love rainbows, I can been a convert for a while. You can wear them in the water (eventually without damaging them even though they are leather), and the greatest part is the completely mold to your feet so that you can wear them walking. They are SUPER comfortable and supportive and really good quality. I have had mine for like 2 years, and I am in the market for a second pair. My husband has like 3 pairs he wore all through Europe on his post college trip, still. They are all the range at colleges, and I know people of all ages who like them. They also match everything and can be casual or kinda fancy.

I almost bought a pair, but after reading the reviews, especially about the store policy, I'll buy another brand! Thank you, Amazon, for posting even the sour reviews.

i was not pleased with the product and when I decided to return them there was a restocking fee plus and $8.00 return fee which i think is unrealistic when ordering something from the internet which I hadn't seen in person.

I bought these sandals b/c I had heard they were the best of the best. I am VERY disappointed with these overall. First of all, they rubbed the top of my foot until they BLED after only wearing them for two days at home!! I know that some shoes take some getting used to, but I'm not enough of a masochist to persist in even attempting to break these suckers in. I can handle a blister or too, but NOT an open sore!! Secondly, they turned my feet black, and when I walked into the bathroom after my boyfriend had finished showering, I left black dye foot prints everywhere! To top off my negative experience with Rainbows, when I went to return them after wearing them INSIDE my house for only two days as mentioned above, they told me that since there was a light imprint of my toe, they would not be able to accept them and would NOT give me my money back!! I expected much more from this company, especially since these cost about 50 bucks! I would have been willing to break them in, however my skin bleeding is a sign that a product is not for me! I bought them in the first place b/c they are supposed to last so long which is better for the environment since you don't have to keep replacing them. I do regret this decision, and hope anyone considering purchasing these knows what they are getting into! I intend to call or write the company immediately and tell them about my terrible experience with their much hyped product. So, please beware of the hype! EDIT: I received comments from people telling me I should try them again, which I had already done b/c I did not want to waste my money. I am well aware that a lot of shoes need to be broken in, and I am also aware that the skin affected by the breaking in process should heal before trying to break them in again. I stopped wearing these for a while, then as I already mentioned, started to wear them again hoping everything would work out so that my 50 dollars wasn't just washed down the drain. I covered the parts of the shoes that rubbed the upper portions of my feet, and wore them constantly for a month or so. I went for an hour long walk recently, believing they were broken in since I had gone on walks that lasted about 30 minutes several times before. I REGRET THAT WALK! I have huge blisters the size of half dollars on the balls of my feet, and had to miss a day of work b/c it was too painful to walk (I am on my feet all day at work). I will NEVER buy another pair of Rainbows, and I will NEVER think I need to butcher my feet just to get a pair of shoes to work out. I still maintain that there is a lot of hype around these sandals, and I would advise anyone considering purchasing a pair to think twice!

If someone wants to order these Rainbow Sandals the sizing is all wrong - I have to send mine back now and looks like the sizing is off by two shoe sizes.

A little stiff at first but now they're nice and broken in. Super comfy, super light, super stylish; I'd buy them again.

These are the best sandals! They were delivered really quickly and are just what I was expecting. The are great quality and so comfortable!

Very comfortable flip flops! I wear a size 10-11 and the "extra-large" was too small. Most stores don't carry the 10 or 11 (beyond extra-large) but I was able to find them on Amazon. Don't give up if you need a bigger size than the extra-large!

Receieved item within 2 days of order, in great shape. Would recommend and use again.

The sandals were lovely but very heavy for a thong flipflop. Because they were so heavy, they rubbed at the top of my foot. Yikes and Owie!

These are the best sandals ever! They form to your feet & are high quality. If there is any problem with the sandal, Rainbow stands behind their product & will replace the sandals. What better way to buy shoes!
