[+] 10.0 Changed my life.....
OK, Changed my life may be over-dramatic for a battery organizer. But, as far as my battery-life goes, I wonder how I lived 37 years without having one of these. About a week after purchasing this, we've managed to corral all of our batteries from the hundred miscellaneous placed they were into the organizer. More than a few were as dead as a door nail, and we didn't have to find a flashlight or kids toy to test them this time. Buy it; it pays for itself in the time you save trying to find batteries and then fiddling around making sure they've still got a charge.

[+] 10.0 Great organizer
This organizer is a great way to store all your batteries. It's easy to use, and now I can know immediately if I have a specific battery on hand. No longer do I have to search through a drawer or plastic bag full of junk to know. I'm using this along with rechargeable batteries to simplify my life.

[+] 10.0 Love This (as long as the tester is accurate) - Saved more money than I spent
I am trying to get organized. One tiny thing that has been an issue is battery organization, so I bought this. My 2 big issues were storing batteries and knowing their charge. This item stores more batteries than I typically have on hand. And it's tester helps me decide if the charge is still there. Perfect!

I've been saving my old batteries for 5+ years in a container. I had a collection of 146 'dead' batteries and my container was full. Time to recycle! But first, I tested them for charge since I wasn't really sure how many were truly dead. Perhaps I had thrown good ones away by accident?? WOW!!!! I tested them all and only 77 were dead (or low) and 69 were still "good" according to the tester. I considered the battery 'dead' if it tested "replace", "low", or borderline low/good.

If the tester is accurate, and those 69 batteries are still 'good', that's quite a lot of error on my part. I am hoping the tester was accurate as I'll try to use those batteries. Perhaps they will work on low-charge items (like remotes) but weren't good enough for all those noisy kid toys we recently purged. Or perhaps they're just fine for anything. Time will tell as it'll take me a while to use them all.

Currently, this unit is sitting on my counter. Soon it will be installed on the wall at the top of the basement stairs -- pretty much out of site but convenient.

I tested AAA, AA, C, D, 9v, and button batteries.

PLEASE recycle dead batteries -- don't throw in your trash. Stores that sell batteries are supposed to recycle them for you too (like WalMart). Just get a little container started for dead batteries and you'll see it's not a big deal to recycle them every few years.

[+] 8.0 Decent Organizer Decent Price
Holds a good amount of batteries, not Costco quantities but normal purchase quantities. Battery tester works well for all but the AAA batteries. Not the most stylish of organizers but mounts easily and securely.

[+] 10.0 Battery organizer
One of greatest purchases ever made. Quickly organized a drawer full of various size batteries and tester lets you know if battery has full power. We liked it so much we got one for each of our children for Christmas and they said that it was the first gift utilized. Highly recommend.

[+] 8.0 Well thought out organizer.
I finally got tired of hunting down good batteries from various boxes and drawers only to find they where dead or the wrong size. Purchased this organizer and now I'm asking why I didn't get this sooner. Now all my fully charged (I know this thanks to the handy tester) batteries are in one place neatly organized in the varying sized holders. I even had a place for a button battery I found in a drawer. Why I have a button battery - I'll never know, but if my aging uncle comes by and needs one for his hearing aid, I'll know where to find it. I thought about hanging the organizer behind a utility door with the hardware provided but found it just as easily lays flat on a cabinet shelf above the dryer. Besides, I would have had to hunt down my missing screw driver that's hiding in a box or drawer somewhere. Maybe I ought to get a tool organizer next.

[+] 4.0 organizer=4, battery tester=0
The first day that I received this organizer/tester I tested all the batteries in my home and placed the good ones in the organizer. So far the tester is working well and everything is pretty good except storage is limited for AAA and button batteries. One day later the tester stopped working completely. The unit was replaced and the replacement battery tester tests virtually every battery as good even though they are used and do not perform strongly. This was also confirmed with my volt meter. As an organizer it is pretty good, but don't buy it for the battery tester. It is basically worthless.

[+] 10.0 Good quality, good price
Sturdy and works well. I use mine to hold my rechargeable batteries (Sanyo Eneloop, which are amazing rechargeable batteries by the way). Before I got this, my batteries were lying around on countertops and in the desk drawer. This makes it convenient to keep all my batteries in one location. The tester works well, even if it seems like its made from slightly inferior plastic. The 'C' and 'D' size battery compartments work well for holding the Eneloop adapters, which are the same size as the batteries they emulate. I haven't tried to hang it on the wall yet, but I think it should be able to withstand the weight of all the batteries.

[+] 8.0 A Pretty Good Battery Organizer, But . . .
This battery organizer will hold 61 batteries: 8 D-cells, 10 C-cells, 25 AA-cells, 10 AAA cells, and 8 9-volt cells. In addition, it has a small tray to store a few of those small button batteries we occassionally use for watches and such. It comes with a battery tester to check battery charge. The organizer can be placed in a drawer, on a shelf, or hung on a wall.

That's the good. The bad is that the button battery tray is useless when the organizer is hung on a wall, because if you open it, all the batteries in the tray will spill out onto the floor, or into your hand if you remember to cup it under the tray before opening it. Still, that isn't really too bad, and I'm not sure how it could be redesigned to make it work while hanging upright.

The ugly is that the battery charger is designed to frustrate people. Some reviewers here have even said that it doesn't work. The problem is that because of its design, you cannot put the battery straight in the tester; it must be held at an awkward angle that will vary with the size of the battery. So, battery in the other hand, tester resting in the heel of the other hand, and one finger trying to position the positive end of the tester so it will make contact with the positive end of the battery. It can be done with a little practice, but it is inconvenient.

One should also note that this organizer does not come with a cover, so if you should happen to drop it while carrying it across the room, all of you batteries will spill out. Normally that isn't a problem, because few of us will ever have much need to be carrying the organizer around. Still, a cover would be nice, especially if you would like to position something on top of the organizer when you're not reaching for a battery, or for just keeping dirt and dust from gathering on top of the batteries.

The lack of a cover and the manipulation needed to test a bettery is why I deducted 1-star. Other than this, it does the job.

[+] 10.0 Does it's job!

It does exactly what it says - organizes batteries.

The battery tester is a very nice feature that I didn't think I needed, but now that I have it, it's wonderful! No more batteries of questionable power sitting around!

The color (not that it really matters) is ugly and I wish it was black or white instead. It's not something you're going to hang in your living room in plain view anyway, so like I said before, it really doesn't matter.

We usually have a lot of AA and AAA batteries (infant/toddler child toys, baby monitors), so I wish it held a few more of each of those.

I have one size of battery that does not fit into it and that is the "N" size (a type of medical battery i believe, though I use it in a vibrating teething ring for my daughter). So if you're wanting it for those, just be prepared to put them in the AA spot and leave the space next to it open, so you can stick your finger in that one to slide the N battery out. But the N size battery (and button batteries for that matter) are so small that they are easy to store in a drawer somewhere instead.

Wonderful for getting battery packages and strewn about batteries out of a drawer and organized up on the wall! (I have yet to mount mine on the wall, but even without putting it up, I already love it.

[+] 4.0 Tester doesn't work
Ordered two organizers, one for re-charge batteries, one for regular... plastic organizers came as promised, but neither of the two batt testers worked at all...so you end up paying 12 dollars for just the plastic organizers...I still have to get out a volt meter to test batteries...

[+] 8.0 nice organizer
It looks smaller than I expected, which I like, so it can fit easily on a small part of a book shelf... It would fit easily in part of a drawer, leaving room to spare. I would like it a little better if it had a bottom that didn't have holes where the batteries are (there isn't a solid plastic piece across the entire bottom, each section has sort of a hole if there is not battery in it). In the picture it looked like it had a solid white bottom. Still all in all, you can fit a lot of batteries in it, and they are easy to place and retrieve. It is nice and solid. I like the battery gauge, although it is a bit awkward (you have to tilt the batteries).

[+] 10.0 Best battery organizer!
What makes this battery organizer great is how compact it really is. I was able to conceal it in this fairly small drawer. The battery tester is awesome to have right there for you too. There is also a small compartment where you can store smaller batteries for watches and what not.

It's so convenient to have batteries organized in one spot, rather than rattling around in a drawer. It's easy to find what you need and see when it's time to stock up. I also have the optional tester which is very handy.

[+] 8.0 A very good buy
If you have a lot of small, flashlight size batteries - AAA to D, 9 v and button batteries, this is a great organizer. It even has a handy battery tester that is removable. As far as I'm concerned, this was the best battery organizer on the web.

I bought two: one for charged batteries and one to hold batteries that need to be charged.

[+] 8.0 Love This Organizer
I buy batteries in bulk from one of the shopping clubs. They were kept in a not easily accessible card board carton in a closet. This item makes me look oh so organized. I put them on one side of the closet wall. It is so easy to access and you can see right away which ones you are running out of.
Make sure when you install them you leave enough room at the top for the battery tester lever to to be lifted. I learned to hard way. I first installed them right under a protruding wood shelf. I had to move them down a bit so the arm could be lifted up.
Perfect!

[+] 10.0 Buying this has saved me money already!
Finally, a central place for all my batteries!

I first saw a similar product at my stepfather's house a few years ago and finally remembered to go looking for one. Of course, Amazon.com had it.

No more searching for AAA, AA, C, D and 9-volt batteries. I know exactly where they are. I can also use the tester to see if the battery is good before putting it into the remote, the camera, the computer mouse, the flashlight, what-have-you.

I knew I had a lot of batteries, but putting them all in a central location showed me there is no need to pick up an extra pack at the store just in case for quite some time. That's saving me 3, 4 or more dollars each time I don't buy more.

I'm seriously considering buying a few more for Christmas gifts.

[+] 8.0 Good storage and tester
Not terribly attractive but gets the job done.

Based on my battery usage, this has way too many "C" and "D" slots and not nearly enough "AAA".

The battery tester works well.

If it just had another row of "AAA" I would give it 5 stars.

Grabbed this as a storage rack so I could get the batteries out of the kitchen junk drawer. For it's price, a great Storage unit to have. Testing the battery power is not as easy as it looks. You just have to get the battery right on the correct position.

[+] 8.0 It does what iit is what suppose to do...
Overall it is a very satisfying purchase. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack ability to use slots that I don't have a lot of:i.e. I don't have too many 9 volts for storage.

But overall, I have NOT found any other rack/box that is as organized as this one, especially you look @ the price compare to the others.

Again, highly recommended and will buy it again for my other family members.

I have been looking for something to organize my batteries so that they were not all laying in my drawer. [+] 4.0 Did not work x2
First one worked great for a day, tested all my batteries, filled it up and it seemed fine. The next day tried to test some loose batteries, and nothing, maybe they were dead, but then checked the new batteries from previous day, again, no reading. Exchanged it and the new one was also defective. This one at least tested D, C and 9 volt batteries ok, but would not register AA and AAA which is what I would use it for most. These batteries were brand new and working fine in remotes, flashlights, etc. The storage part is handy, too bad it doesn't work right.

[+] 10.0 Handy dandy - wish I had two
I have so many rechargeable batteries that when I collect them out of the toys and games and other stuff for regular re-charging, this thing is filled! I love that it has a little detachable battery tester at the top. My 11-year-old frequently mixes up the old with the fully charged and now he can even use this to see which are the right ones to use. I wish it had more space for AA's but that's just a personal preference.

I was easily able to find fresh batteries during our last round of big storms and power outages. The batteries are now organized and I'm not wasting time checking the dates on alkaline batteries or mixing old with new.

[+] 6.0 Keep getting damaged products
I bought one of these for myself some time ago and it's fine and I like it. But when I ordered one for my mother, it arrived and the battery tester would not work on the side that tests AA, AAA, C, D, etc. It did test 9V. So I contacted Amazon and was shipped a replacement without a problem. The replacement tester was also damaged. The metal contact was missing on the side that tested AA, AAA, C, D, etc. Again, it would test 9V. I like mine, but after receiving 2 damamged products in a row, I now question the reliability of my own.

[+] 10.0 Battery Storage Rack
Perfect for getting all your eggs in one basket, so to speak. Before now, I had batteries in various places throughout the house. Now they are in the holder on the wall in my closet. I can tell at a glance what size batteries I am needing to replace. The built-in tester allows me to be sure I'm storing only good batteries in the holder. Thank goodness, I went ahead and got 2 holders: one for me and one for my son-in-law, who put his holder on the wall in their pantry.

[+] 8.0 really like this product
Pros - love having a tester to see if a battery is still good or not. Our 7 year old was constantly mixing old and new together for toys. I like having the holder and the different sizes. There are an adequate number of slots for the sizes we use.

Cons - tester itself doesn't work very well for button batteries.
