Rock n Roll Trailer Park Trash
If I could give stars for marketing talent, he'd be in the 4 range. Musically he's absent of talent, and always has been. If you like this moron, you probably 'drink whiskey out duh bottle'. I think I saw this hillbilly playing golf in overalls one time. It's a disgrace that people actually think he's talented. Poor Warren Zevon. He's dead and some meat head's ripping off his music. Don't bother commenting unless you have something negative to say about Kid Scum Waffle. You can't say anything to hide the fact that this no talent, overall wearing, teeth missing, no arm pit deoderizer wearing, monster truck loving, no GED, Timberland boot wearing, strip club loving, no tooth brush owning, family all lives in the same trailer, drinking whiskey out duh bottle, wrestling lover has no musical talent.
This Cd stinks, period. Don't waste your money. You can have mine instead!!

I like it, there's alot of pieces in songs that remind me or sound a bit like some of his older stuff. A few surprises and the country track is a little hokey for me but over all i like the entire cd.

Best Kid Rock yet
I LOVED this CD! I'm a long time Kid Rock fan and while I do enjoy most of his music, this CD is a great demonstration of his bluesie side with a lotta rock mixed in. I'm still not tired of listening to it. If you like Kid Rock, you HAVE to own this CD.
This is a GREAT CD!!! (It was priced right, and the shipping was FAST!!!)
I didn't own a Kid Rock CD at all, but now I'm going to buy several more.
This is just another side of Kid Rock that shows that he can do just about anything! So Hott...right back to his roots, and really funny...and the rest of the cd is just plain great. I have it plugged in for days at a time...!
Not the typical Kid Rock from what I have heard but got to say Thanks, Love it man. will wear the Cd out soon at this rate.
it would have helped if there were music clips of the CD to listen to prior to purchasing. Then again, chances are, I wouldn't have bought it if that were the case.
I Think this cd is one of kids best yet. Very wide spread of different styles of music and it is great

1 Star for 1 Song
I purchased the entire CD for one song - "All Summer Long" - because it was unavailable online as a single. The remaining songs/music were as expected and a waste of money.
I am an older person - 68 to be exact and I found the Kid Rock CD a trip back into the 60's & 70's. The lyrics are a bit more rough but I really enjoyed this CD and am happy to find a rocker who is a rebirth of MY time!

I liked it. Its a bit of fun.
Kid Rock has evolved but has not forgotten his Michigan roots. Great rock n roll recording. Grows on ya.
I bought this CD for the 2 popular songs they play on the radio & ended up loving the whole thing! Not to often anymore you like more than 1 or 2 songs on a CD let alone the whole thing!

Kid Rock expresses himself
I bought this album for the song All Summer Long. I am sure alot of people did the same. If this is the only reason you are buying the cd I suggest you purchase the single. Music is both art and self expression and Kid Rock is entitled to make any kind of cd he wanted. There are few songs that are similar to All Summer Long but there are a few that are just the opposite that deserve the parental advisory label. Kid Rock is not required to cater to anyone but himself and this album is the album he wanted to put out. At the same time some of his songs may turn people off.
I was shocked to see this guy onthe top 10 list. kid rock is vile and disgusting and the sooner he disappears the better. It's always scary to know we live in a country where people watch wrestling and listen to stuff like this.
I love "All Summer Long"
Most of the songs are good. A little bit too much "rated R" for me.
I'm not generally a Kid Rock fan, but I love All Summer Long and wanted to buy it on iTunes. Of course, I soon found out that none of Kid Rock's stuff is on iTunes (or any other download service.) Bummer. So I listened to some of the other songs on his web site and actually liked most of them. I bought the album and haven't been disappointed - it is really good! The more you listen, the more you like it. Of course, I have to screen the songs around my kids, but I have been enjoying it and just wish it didn't have "explicit lyrics" on some of the songs - but that's Kid Rock!
As you may or may not know, this album is not available in itunes. I am generally not a fan of Kid Rock's older stuff, but this album has a lot of great songs, among my favorites are Summertime, Roll On and Amen. Great album!

Never being a Kid Rock fan and never really listening to his music unless it was on the radio - this is a great CD. I love almost every song. Song #5 and #6 are alittle vulger and I kind of skip by those but other then that I would highly recommend this CD you'll love it!!

This 50 yr old woman loved it!!
OK. I'm 50 years old which means the only music I listen to is classic rock and country. I heard "All Summer Long" on a country radio station and my boyfriend told me to buy the CD.
I couldn't believe how much I liked this record. I listened to it over and over and it only got better with each listen.
I really dislike rap, I never "got the message". I thought Kid Rock was a rapper, but he has earned my respect as a songwriter an artist that breaks all boundries.
I liked every song on the record. It's been a long time since I've said that about a CD.
Good job Kid. Keep up the good rock.

Rock 'n Roll White Trash, but in a good way
This is the best of any Kid Rock cd I've bought. Ok, it's a little bit more on the "religious" side - if you can use the words "religion" and "Kid Rock" in the same sentence and not have a lightning bolt strike you dead. There are about 3 songs that are the reason the "Explicit Lyrics" sticker is on it. Only 1 almost made my ears bleed, but this ain't Helen Reddy. Another plus (or minus depending on how much you like Kid Rock) you can make out almost 100% of the words.
Do I recommend it? Yes.
LOVE IT! I PERSONALLY THINK IT'S HIS BEST ALBUM YET
FROM TRACK 1 ROCK -N- ROLL JESUS TO TRACK 12 (BONUS) LOWLIFE EVERY SONG IS FANTASTIC AND I CAN'T GET ENOUGH, NO I'M NOT A KID A 40 YEAR OLD ADULT FEMALE, SURPRISING HUH?
HE TAKES HIS LIFE AND PUTS IT IN TO SONGS :)
This Cd is Fantastic!! Kid Rock has a mixture of slow songs mixed in with his more raunchier style. It is truly a Masterpiece!
Rock N Roll and Kid "Rock" don't belong in the same sentance...it's an insult to ROCK N ROll. Kid Rock is not rock N roll or even rock n relevent. He's on the fast track at proving how irrelevent he is. Rock N roll jesus.....a hip hop/country puke mix is nowhere near rock and that butchered version of a crappy song "sweet home alabama" renamed on this crapfest album as "all Summer Long" is horrid. Kid "Rock" (word used loosly when saying his name) should just go away or change his name to Kid Krapfest or no talent Tom.
Who in the hell would listen to this. Rock N Roll jesus....he doesen't even deserve to use the word "rock" in his name or the title rock n roll. He is insulting rock music, and the rock gods need to punish this posing losera** retard. Kis rock doesen't know what he wants to be and no one cares.

the Rock n' Roll kid
I'm not a big fan of Kid rock, but I do like him and maybe other reviewers who are more familar with his music would be better to read then my review, but I do like this CD. It's a fine mixture of ballads, rockers and some very fun "summer" songs.
Saying that, I'm not a fan of his rap stuff, but the ballads rockers and songs he actually "sings" are worth the price of this CD. He does have a nice voice to listen to, and even if his die hard fans would disagree, I'd like to hear him sing more and rap less!! Which is maybe why I do like this one.. not much rap on it, more rap rock then just rap. One thing I do like about Kid Rock's Cds, he has a nice mixture of ballads, rock/rap and even throws in a country, almost hillbilly sound on this one, and he does them all very well.
I do have other CDs of his, and actually like Cocky more then this one, but it's worth the price for "All Summer long".
This is just an overview. I've only had the CD a week, but wanted to review it fairly.
This is the Kid Rock I love! Plenty of songs with a southern rock feel, and many with lyrics that can really make me laugh. I bought it for "All Summer Long" but my new favorite is "Blue Jeans and a Rosary."

Did not know how versatile he is.
I bought this cd for the title All summer long, well I was amazed how versatile he is, my favorite song on this album, is New Orleans I can just close my eyes and listen to the mixture of instrumental music on that song from trompettes, harmonica, guitar, piano ect... also I got a kick from that country also, title Half your age, and the gospel songs also on that cd was fantastic, there is two songs with some ex rated lyrics but who cares, i am not a fan of Kid rock because of his hard heavy rock music but if he his again versatile on is next CD for sure I will buy it again. I have to listen again that New Orlens song

When I first bought this album i was skeptical but i grew to love it not only for the great material but for the versatility!! I enjoy an album that doesnt feel like one extremely long track. He mixes a great variety of hard rock, blues, country, and folk. i strongly recommend this album!!!

~Does anyone really think Kid Dork has talent~
I bought this album for my girlfriend who is a fan of this guy and some of his material is ok but this album completely stinks! Can't this dude make up his own stuff or does he like making a career of ripping off others people's work. On this album he strikes again ripping off Warren Zevon note for note. Someone should remind this dude that his 10 minutes of fame ran out like last year.
I don't understand the appeal of this album or this guy. A couple friends and I drove to the river and back six times last weekend and we listened to this CD a couple times. My friend Scudd told us that he knew we didn't really care for Kid Rock, but this CD would win us over. Scudd is about as smart as a swatchguard, but we figured what the hell? This guy and talent haven't ever been in the same zip code. All he has given us is some really bad music that some drunk idiot will try to belt out at a karaoke bar at the end of the night thinking he is going to have relations with a porn star. The "All Summer Long" diatribe, are you kidding me? He manages to rip off both Warren Zevon and Leonard Skinard in the same song while managing to say nothing for 4 minutes. Wow, that is hard to do. What's next, ripping off Jethro Tull and Led Zepplin for a song about love set to the background of Aqualung and Immigration Song?
I am what original music is all about. I front a band called Asschowder that makes Kid Dork look like a butterscotch pudding on a rollerskating rink. We combine thrash polka with old school german chocolate cake rock. Our live shows are the things you'd tell your kids about if they would come home. You really need to do something about them. I heard last weekend they egged your friend Todd's house. Discipline starts early my friends. We ride around on big wheels for part of the show and stop to play stratego when we belt out "You just hit a bomb with your general". We are simply legendary and you have just passed average by reading this.

Handful of great songs
I bought this because I wanted to put the song All Summer Long on my Ipod and Itunes did not have it. I like a handful of other songs, but have to make sure my kids aren't around to hear some of them. There are a few that aren't appropriate for young adults.

Kid Rock Pulls It Off
I'm normally not a big fan of Kid Rock, but the third track was getting so much air time on the radio over here in Germany that I decided to check it out. He's got a great mix of blues, soul, rock, and country. Loved the irreverent religious spin he put into packaging and in the lyrics. Not every track is solid, but 75 percent of the are great, and these days it's hard to find an album that offers that. I paid in Euros at a German music store, so the Amazon price is a great value.
This CD disappointed me a lot. I was a big Kid Rock fan but I haven't cared for the last few albums. I though Devil Without A Cause was a classic but now his music has changed so much. The title is Rock n Roll Jesus but the songs don't rock that hard. It seems he going more country than Rock. I'm hoping his next release in an improvement.

Kid Rock- Rock and Roll Jesus
Generally speaking, I'm not a Kid Rock fan- but this CD really shows a range of styles-I purchased it for All Summer Long and So Hott, but I find myself really loving Sugar--it's a great running song for the IPod, regardless of lyric content.
Half Your Age is hysterical, but way too country to be taken seriously.
Overall worth the money, and since All Summer Long will be played on the radio all summer long-it will no doubt get tons of exposure.

Rockin' With The Kid
If you only buy it for "All Summer Long" it will be worth it. There are a couple of other songs with really raunchy lyrics, but then Kid Rock surprises with some terrific songs and arrangements. If I hadn't seen him on Jay Leno I never would have known about this CD.

Do you like Trash?
If there was ever any doubt about what a worthless, wannabe punk Kid Rock really is, this album removes it.
Sampling is one thing. Grossly ripping off an entire Intro from the great Warren Zevon, and bolting it on as the Intro to your own song is horrifying. Mr. Rock should not even be in the same sentence as Warren.
This album is a product of a dying industry run by 'record execs' who now rather than promoting thought provoking artists and their music put out trashy slop like this and pander to the lowest elements of the population. It is especially appalling when you think about the thousands of highly promising bands and musicians who will have to go back to working at Starbucks and restaurants while KR gets commercial airplay.
Mr. Rock has a hat and an unattractive goatee and that's about it. Now that he's had a dalliance with Pamela Anderson, and acquired a few bucks, I presume his motivation is running low so he's stealing from artists who actually had some talent.
If you think these are harsh words, consider this: NO ONE will be 'sampling' anything from a KR album 25 years from now.
Surprised by this purchase. I bought it because I liked "All Summer Long " , and the rest of the album is great , I also love "Rollercoaster".
This is actually my first Kid Rock CD. It is definitely a guilty pleasure. What pushed me to buy it was a TV performance and I suddenly realized that wow, this guy can actually sing.
One gets a sense that Mr. Rock is trying to branch out and become relavent, and some of that is hit and miss. The lyrics to "Amen" are a little cliched and his "soft sensitive" side sounds a little forced. As he explores more "mature" themes, some of the lyrics are left wanting.
Standout tracks for me at least are the title track "Rock and Roll Jesus," as well as "Amen," and "Lowlife." Expletives abound thoughout the album, and are a but overboard at times, expecially on "Sugar" which approaches inane proportions, but the playing is tight and the some of these more profane tracks are intrigueing musically.
Perhaps what best sums up the album is the track "Guilty," in which he talks about how he took his "15 minutes" and made it last ten years, and he's having fun and isn't going to complain about his life. I get tired of whiney rock stars, and with Kid Rock, you can be sure he is having a good time.
This CD is trashy, profane, loud with bizarre excursions into country, and very good.

Lenny Kravitz in an alternate universe.......the guy has talent
Kid Rock seems to have finally focused on what sound he wants to go with for the future. Heavily 70's and SouthernRock influenced, with of course the country mixed in lightly...not much in the way of Rap on here. The guy is talented, if it's not your cup of tea. Basically like a Lenny Kravitz type of release, with variety transitioning smoothly between songs. I'd highly recomend the new Fozzy All That Remains Reloaded Cd for a bit heavier experience, but killer CD as well. All That Remains Reloaded (W/Dvd)

I wanted to like it.
I know most will love this because they will say it is more "mature". Others (apparently no one on this page other than me) may be accused of not liking it because we're numetal idiots who don't like southern rock. Now, I may like numetal, and some may consider me an idiot (because much of what is prided as good these days I consider to be idiodic), but I did like Kid's last studio release. I just don't like the albums I don't feel. Doesn't he say himself "If it's real, you'll feel it". Well, I didn't feel it, so here I am to rate it such.
For the people who think this is mature, Kid Rock will never be mature, so you can't love it simply for that. Have you listened to Sugar? Good lord. Blue Jeans and a Rosary? Did I miss the timetraveling wormhole that must have opened up and transported us back to the days of Little House on the Prairie? Apparently not, because to stay on top, Rock jumped on the popular Paris Hilton bandwagon by trying to appeal to today's youth with So Hott, spelled with two t's, because he's cool like that. I thought today's idiodic spellings were to make things easier, like U for you on tracks 7 and 9, but no, it's just to be stupid.
I want Kid's flow and "what's happening now in my mind" lyrics. "All these thoughts I have I can't mold to sense through the forest of my mind they are all past tense" instead of making love to one's nose.
Some of the "Kids" best work yet. A little countryish. I like it. Also some real life stories and heartfelt lyrics.

Pleasantly Surprised
When Kid Rock first had commercial success with Devil Without A Cause, I wasn't particularly impressed. It seemed to be the era of the white rapper and the boyband, and as far as the white rappers went Eminem was far superior. I was in high school at the time, but somehow Kid Rock just wasn't for me. Something about him and his backup group reminded me of a circus sideshow. There was a midget in his group. The drummer was a woman (I think). And the star was a white rapper. It just seemed like a gimmick. Well, it's 10 years later and I think it's safe to say my tastes have matured. I have learned to appreciate some of the songs on Devil Without a Cause, and I don't mean this as an example of my tastes maturing. But, I was extremely surprised with Rock and Roll Jesus. I got it 2nd hand from a friend who warned me "There's only like one good song on it." I had heard the song Amen on MTV once (I rarely listen to the radio or watch TV.) But I was blown away when I listened to the CD. In fact, I have to be honest. I haven't made it through the whole thing yet. I keep having to go back because the first six songs are so good I just can't help myself. I would encourage anyone to listen to those first six songs at least before you make up your mind NOT to buy this cd. It is really good.
THIS IS KID'S BEST THUS FAR! EVEN IF YOUR NOT A KID ROCK FAN, THIS IS A CD TO HAVE
