Sealy Stain Protection Crib Mattress Pad

I have owned several mattress pads for my kids over the years and this is by far the best. I was amazed that this pad was so soft, plush and yet works so well. All you feel is super soft, bouyant cotton and it doesn't have any strange "plasticy" smell or crunchy sound like so many waterproof pads have. It seems to have the best absorbancy yet and the fit is superb! It is easy to apply to the mattress and yet never seems to shift or bag at the edges. This is the first waterproof mattress pad that I have been able to put into the dryer for ONE cycle and have it come out DRY! I know, amazing concept, isn't it? I wash these pads on hot and dry them on medium and I have not had any shrinking or problems with wear. I wash them weekly or more often if needed.

I really recommend these pads to anyone with babies or small children. It's always good to have 2 per child....one is always ready when the other becomes soiled (due to an accident or sickness)....and as most parents know, children tend to get sick about the same time as their siblings. This can at least make YOUR part a little easier to manage. Hope this was helpful.

This mattress pad has been wonderful. Not one leak of any kind has penetrated this cover. It's very durable, holding up to the washer and the dryer, and still looking brand new. Adds only a touch of cushion between baby & mattress.

Quite expensive for what it is but it's nice and thick, good quality and fits my non-standard mattress well without turning it into a banana (my mattress is about an inch bigger all round than standard size) so it's worth the extra few bucks.

I love this mattress pad. I've had others in the past not nearly as comfortable as this one. The padding is very comfy for my daughter and it's water proof just as it says. My son had an accident and it did not leak through to the crib mattress. That was a first. I would reccomend it.

Excellent mattress pad, as advertised. We've machine-washed and -dried this several times, no problems. I recommend buying two pads, so one is always on hand.

I accidentally bought this mattress pad, thinking it was the same as the one I already had, when I went to buy a second. It's not very good quality. Every time I go to put it on the mattress it feels like my fingers are going to poke through the cheap stretchy sides. And it only barely covers the mattress; it's pretty much holding on for dear life at the corners. I have a Sealy mattress from Babies R Us and it's not extra thick, so there's no reason this shouldn't fit. For the same price, you're much better off going with the UltraSoft Quilted Mattress Pad by Continental Quilting. I have one of those and it is *great*. It fits the mattress really well, with no chance of it popping off. I wash it all the time and it hasn't shrunk a bit.

I bought this before my son was born in 2004, and it has held up really nicely the past 18 months. When he was first born, and again recently when he had a bad flu, we ended up washing this pad on a daily basis for several weeks, and it has held up wonderfully. It still looks practically new. We haven't had any problems with shrinkage. We have a Simmons mattress. I also bought the cheaper Quilted Crib Mattress Pad by Babies 'R Us, and it is just not as comfortable feeling as this one, and the quality on that one really seems to be lacking. It feels very rough, and I wouldn't imagine it to be very comfortable to sleep on.

I registered for a couple of these, and was glad to have the chance to try them out months before my twins are scheduled to arrive. We have regular Sealy crib mattresses, but the pockets on this pad were only large enough to fit down the sides of the mattress, not wrap around underneath. I was concerned that this might be a safety issue, and ended up exchanging these crib mattress pads for ones with "extra deep" pockets by Continental Quilting, which fit much better.

It works fine, covers well and does it's job. What more can you say about a mattress pad?

I was less then impressed with the quality of the stretchy sides, and the scratchy surface, but what is really bad is it shrunk up terribly when washed one time in warm water and dried in the dryer. We do NOT have extra thick crib mattresses. These pads are useless and a big waste of 40.00 since I bought two for my twins.
I expected more of Sealy and will be writing them next.
Don't waste your money!!

My baby loves this mattress and sleeps better on it than her old bassinet. Structurally the mattress is sturdy, supportive, and not too firm.

My daughter slept through the night more peacefully with this mattress. I highly recommand it!

We were given a Carter's mattress pad as a gift, but I wanted to buy "the best" so I got the Sealy. I washed/dried it and tried to put it on the mattress. It says right on the tag on the pad that the cover must wrap under the mattress at least 2" on all sides to prevent entanglement (a suffocation hazard). Well, it didn't even cover the sides of the mattress, let alone 2" underneath. We have a standard size crib mattress so it obviously shrank even though it says it is preshrunk. I had to use the Carter's pad which fits fine and doesn't pose a suffocation hazard. Both have the same dimensions on the package too--28 X 52.

I have been using this product for three months. It has gotten alot of use with my baby boy. We were always dealing with leaks. It looks like new with no signs of stains. Washing and drying the pad has not caused it to shrink.

WEll made, durable, but potentially toxic. Parents concerned about long-term health of their children will opt for a more child-friendly form of waterproofing.

After reading all the other reviews, I concluded this was the best mattress pad. However, I could barely stretch it around my Kolcraft square corner mattress. The pad on top is square, but the fabric around it is round. It looked like it was going to pop off. So, I exchanged it for the Especially for Baby one that is quilted all around, and that one fits great!

I have two of these mattress pads. They are the best. High quality and durable. They fit the mattress snug and have handled washing and drying wonderfully. We have had crazy diaper leaks and the mattress pad has been stain proof so far!

We have used this pad for 6 months now and so far it fits the crib mattress, is convenient to change and has held up well in the wash.

We looked everywhere for a good mattress pad for our new baby. After many tries and more returns than I care to count we found this one. I washed it and put it on the sealy crib mattress we bought and it fit perfectly, very snug and added just enough padding to make it seem comfortable. I would buy it again.

I have had this pad since my daughter was born . That was 3 years ago. I have never had a problem washing it and drying it on any temperature. It has always fit the mattress and has not even a sign of starting to wear down or tear after all of this time. I wash in cold water if that makes any difference, But drying it has been dryed on High before and still strong as ever and fitts just right. Now I am going to get another one for my Newest arrival due in March .

From the reviews, I thought this pad was a winner. But after one wash, the edge of the quilted padding attached to the elastic siding ripped. This left about a one foot tear. Fluke or quality control issue? I don't know. Needless to say, I am returning it.

Even after being washed they are perfect and fit the matress so well, no struggling to get it on. Don't even hesitate, buy these for sure!

Sealy makes a great crib pad, I highly recommend it. I've tried a couple of other crib pads and have been disappointed b/c of the fit. The Sealy pad fit the crib mattress perfectly, even after several washes.

Finally a crib pad that works! I've scoured the stores for something that my little 14-month old boy can't pull off his crib mattress. And this one does it. The elastic band is great for snapping underneath the mattress. Gives me the peace of mind I need about this staying in place.

Just bought this item and exactly followed the washing instruction to wash it in sensitive cycle and dry it in very very low heat (sensitive care cycle). It already has a few tears! This was only the first wash! The reason I give it 2 stars is that it still fits in the mattress. I guess it is not completely useless.
