Shakira can sing and dance! Very entertaining video concert! And she is beautiful and full of personality. I highly recommend if this is your type of entertainment!

An entertaining and emotional concert that really brings you there; the extra audio CD is a great bonus and makes this Bluray a real bargain!

really a very good live programme to watch. seeing it in FULL HD(ya the recording is so)is superb. but the sound quality is not good if u put it in dolby digital mode(sad part is that it does not have dts encoding).stereo mode sounded better. And same thing with the audio cd supplied along with, worst live recording..But if u want to see the lady of your dreams, just buy this.WOW

Sometimes I get more excited about the quality of the Blu-ray than the actual performance. This Blu-ray is only marginally better than standard dvd. (Rating **)

This time the performer got all my attention. Skakira is hypnotic through out the concert. Her charismatic voice, her confident eyes, her beautiful face and a body that moves in ways you may have never seen before.

She's just pure energy and a joy to watch even if I can only understand the words of half the songs. (rating ****)

This disc is one that should have been labeled Enhanced Standard DVD.

I recommend this becouse the Show itself.
But HiDef is another thing. Its 1080i only and seems to be a DVD transfer.

My family enjoys Shakira's music. Very upbeat and great vibrant colors and
scene shots.

Wow. Shakira rocks it in HD and she's never looked better. It was worth the purchase just to see the "La Tortura" performance so crystal clear. Amazing. I was glad that many of the songs are the Spanish versions from "Fijacion Oral" Vol. 1" rather than the largely disappointing english tracks from "Oral Fixation: Vol. 2." A great buy for your Blu-ray collection. Worth it at twice the price!

For my first concert Blu-Ray, I picked this, and I feel pretty much any other concert film I see/buy will somehow always fail to live up to this experience.

Seriously. The combination of an amazing performance, vivid visuals and crystalline sound was, in a word, thrilling.

Let me get the technical stuff out of the way.

The Hi-Def picture is outstanding, only having a bit of difficulty during scenes lit in a certain hue of red. Otherwise, the "you are there" feeling is overwhelming. Faces in the crowd, dazzling light spectacles, certain glee-filled glances from Shakira...

The sound is, as expected, terrific. Crowd noise envelopes appropriately...although the filmmakers decide to reign in some of the singalongs so we can better hear the artist herself. Wise choice, as the initial emotional swell, like in "Antologia" is tremendously effective, but you don't want to hear it for the whole song.
The stage has an aural three-dimensionality to it.

Now, the performance itself. Volcanic. I found myself thinking during the show, that I can think of no other superstar that demonstrates such breadth of talent in such a short period of time. She sings, she dances, she plays guitar and harmonica...she does a ballet thing, she does lots of belly-dancing-like moves...some more hip-hop ("Hips Don't Lie") and some more traditional ("Ojos Asi").

She is absolutely engaged with her audience; there is a phenomenal mutual attraction going on here. Listen to the roar when she starts "Pies Descalzos". That song may not be as well known to her English-speaking fans, but here it will cause anyone who hears it for the first time to seek it out. It will become your new favorite song based on her infectious, enthusiastic performance. It's awesome.

There are some songs that are traditional Latin ballads, other rock out like she's channeling her inner AC/DC.
She hits vocal notes that'll send chills down your spine. One song impossibly has all three..."Inevitable".

There are guest spots that amp up the energy. Alejandro Sanz comes in on "La Tortura" and the place comes unglued. The song is positively molten hot; they have chemistry to burn. Plus, her chest and her hips seem to move completely independently of one another, and you can't take your eyes off of her.

This is not one disc you can leave on in the background while you clean the house or read a magazine. I couldn't take my eyes away from the screen.

Wyclef Jean appears for "Hips Don't Lie", the joyous finale to the concert. Shakira dances with such abandon that at one point, I was worried she would dislocate several major joints simultaneously. The grin on your face will match the huge, glorious smile on hers...

Shakira herself looks absolutely beautiful here, and the cameras take every opportunity to show her off. The number of close-ups on her 1) face, 2) breasts, 3) belly and 4) posterior is a number far too large to fathom, but from this guy's point of view, it wasn't enough. : )

Come on, nobody moves like Shakira, and when those non-lying hips fly around like that, it's hypnotic. And based on the crowd's response, I'm not alone.

She exhibits a refreshing pleasure in the sheer act of "entertaining"; it reminded me a lot of Springsteen actually. It's an unfettered joy of entertaining an audience so completely that the experience elevates itself to a level higher than a simple "I'll play music, you cheer" regular concert. The Rolling Stones know how to put on a show, but you never feel as if they "need" to do this.

It feels like Shakira needs to perform in the same way she needs to breathe. She's a force of nature...

Trust me: you can't WAIT to see this.

This is one of the best blu-ray DVD I have. The concert, show, song everything is awesome. Picture was phenomenal. The 2channel LPCM uncompressed audio is excellent. However, the Dolby Digital 5.1 track is inadequate at best. The DD 5.1 track often dropped off the side vocals (like in hips don't lie). So if you have DD 5.1 receiver than you may not fully enjoy the 5.1 channel track. That's my only gripe about this Blu-Ray DVD.

This DVD along with Live and Off the Record are simply fantastic. Shakira is the whole package from the voice of an Angel to a body...well, that's out of this world!! How could you not love this goddess!!!!!

It was available for less than fifteen so I picked it up. I liked Shakira's first major Spanish album before her international success. I hadn't really listened to her newer stuff. When I put it in I was pleasantly surprised. The visuals are great and the sound is even better. To be honest I do skip a few songs whenever I watch it but I still consider it a good purchase for the price.

Shakira continues to perform to everyone's delight. Her superb voice, depth of persona and passion for song writing and singing continue to appease even the most sinic of critics. Her captivating voice, endless beauty and spiritually allow her to produce the ultimate concert experience.

Audio is phenomenal with perfect acoustic balance and very delicate placement of special effects.

Video and camera work is amazing. Super detailed, excellent zoom shots!

I strongly advise this Blu-Ray DVD be part of your collection.

I think this concert was exceptional. If people want to see Madonna and Celine Dion presentations, then watch Madonna and Celina Dion. You cannot compare Shakira to anybody. She's got her own style and it works for her. This concert is great. Worthwhile. I strongly recommend it.

sooo talented! beautiful! you got to get this dvd in any form. words do do her justice. entertaining, passionate dancing,(i could watch her forever) she won me over before she was known in the USA. i just knew she was special. oh yeah she is also a warm caring person, i hope she never changes, bellydance, latin ,rock & roll,hip-hop, classical songes loving blended together in her own special style ='s Shakira, did i mention she's also a real caring person?

Is a nice concert over all but I think there is a room for improvement.

If you want to see a great performer, SHAKIRA IS IT! I had the pleasure of seeing Shakira live when she came to Peru during the tour and watching this on Blu-Ray I got to re-live the experience! The clarity was just that good! The special guest appearances by Alejandro Sanz and Wyclef Jean were neccessary to get the full effect of those songs and it worked out extremely well. She had a good mix of music from all of her albums and the lighting and camera angles were impeccable. My favorite part however, was THE CHOREOGRAPHY! Of course everyone knows that Shakira can dance but with this performance you can sit back and take notes! This disc comes with an audio disc as well containig a few songs from the concert and extra footage, like the behind the scenes documentaries. If you are a Shakira fan, you must have this in your collection and if your'e not a fan, you will be after this.

I've been a Shakira's fan since the very beginning of her career. I admire her as a singer and as a person and I believe that Shaki, more than anyone, deserves the recognition she's having right now. I was in the concert and I didn't know they were making a DVD (lucky me!!!!!) It was a surprise when I bought it and I'm very satisfied with both, the spectacle I saw live and now the DVD...I believe is a 5 star and it is much better than the previous tour. Even if you are not a die hard Shakira's Fan, this is one you would like to have. Actually I bought two DVD...one for me and another for my cousin...I gave it to him as a birthday present and he loved it....the bonus CD is also pretty good ;)

its the only way to engoy Shakira's beauty and talent on Blu Ray, must have for all her fans, she has lots of energy and appeal, you will engoy her concertin Hi def.

I thought buying this on Blu Ray format would make a difference. I guess I'm trying to compare it to Celine Dion's A New Day Blu Ray version. But regardless, it's just okay for me. The concert is not that awesome. It's a typical concert. The show lacks "umph" in to it. Plus, the majority of the songs are in spanish and I don't understand it. There are a few english songs which are her hits. Other than that, you can skip the rest if you only prefer to hear the english songs. If I have to do it again, I would've just rented it from Netflix.

I think Shakira could learn from Celine Dion and Madonna as far as choreography and presentation. I was disappointed in the show for those reasons. I also hoped she would put closed captioning to all her songs because honestly sometimes her style of singing its hard to decipher what she said. Don't get me wrong I love her talent but I expect more pizazz from a concert especially with the prices today. That being said I think Shakira's live & off the record and Shakira MTV unplugged are both much better! And yes her hips still steal the show!

I am not a Shakira fan nor do I understand Spanish. This collection is a concert performed in Miami and mostly (99%) in spanish. Although with the language barrier, Shakira performed an outstanding performances. As you watch the concert, the progress got better and better. For the blu ray disc version, the picture quality is excellent and the sound quality is super. This disc comes with both Dolby Digital 5.1 and also PCM (uncompressed) 5.1. A good collection for concert collectors.

Great concert,the extras were very good esp. the one about all the work that she does with the children of Columbia.

I must confess, I bought this item on a whim. Having just bought into Blu Ray and shopping for items to play on my new toy. I was already familiar with Shakira from her chart hits, but that was about it. This concert is quite the experience to say the least.

Both picture and audio quality are superb in full blown 1080/24p with optional stereo/surround audio options. The concert is a high energy affair with Shakira in fine voice, bending her body in ways I didn't know were possible.

Content-wise all her chart hits are there plus plenty more in Spanish and English. Right from the off, she has the audience eating from her hand (and me)right to the end. When you consider the bonus material on this disc, plus the free CD, for the price it's an outright gem.

Whether you are an ardent Shakira fan or a casual one, this disc will not let you down. I'm glad I took the chance and discovered Shakira! Shakira.

I tought this dvd has everything it needed to. I attended to one of this tour's concert in Arizona and this DVD has every single thing that happened in the concert but even better because it was recorded in the Miami's concert and so Alejandro Sanz and Wycleaf appear. It is awesome =)

It is worth getting this Blu-ray DVD set. The video quality is amazing. Shakira was outstanding. Over all, it's superb. A great addition to my musical collection...

This concert was filmed well, the audio is great, you can watch it in English or Spanish. I'm not even that big of a Shakira fan but I buy just about every concert on Blu Ray, and this one was one of the better ones I've seen yet.

Shakira just look amazing in hi def, amazing picture quality and the sound is perfect, maybe the only defect is that she omitted "Illegal" and "Dia de enero", she perform both songs on the concert i saw in Mexico CIty.
Excellent product must have for all Shakira fans and all the people who likes hi def picture.

The video and audio quality on this bluray are both outstanding. Even if you are not a Shakira fan its still a great show to watch. Sounds good in 5.1 but sooooo much better playing in PCM 5.1. If you like live concerts then this is a must!

the bluray version of this item is very clear and detail very minminal noise in picture.concert was mostly in spanish but i enjoy it and like the part when alexandro comes in with shakira.

I guess I should have known that since this concert is in Miami that the concert would mostly be in spanish. That thought escaped me until I began watching the disc and I was unable to undertsand what she was singing. However with Shakira does it really matter if you can't understand the words? She is beautiful and the video is so clear!!

Shakira was outstanding. It is worth getting this DVD. There are some parts of the DVD is not in Blu-ray High Definition. Most entertaining and see more of her performance than attending the concert.
