It's a bag. So let's make it brief. If holds your camera (and an extra one), all wires and batteries. It's stylish. The bag is good quality and comfortable to wear. It does the job. The extra battery makes it a great purchase for the price. Get it for your Sony camera, it's worth the investment.

This works great for hauling a couple of cameras when the options are needed, or one with room for other nick-nacks. Also stores additional gear (batteries, rechargers, straps, lense wipes, etc...) whether attending the 2009 Inauguration of President Obama, or flying overseas. The accessories have all worked out well. Good package deal as one can never have enough juice in one battery when video capturing long events. The bag is well constructed, with nicely sized pouches, solid straps, and it snaps shut in a rainproof/dust proof design.

This case is a good bargain if you need a larger battery. The case itself is good for storing the camera and all the accesories but is larger than I would want for traveling. I would also like to have and individual case that just fit the camera itself. The extra capacity of the battery was very nice to have. All in all a good deal.

I've only recharge battery 2x since I've started using it in my outings w/ my niece last Christmas.
The Sony bag is big for my Sony DCR-SR47 videocam but I still like it because I'm able to keep my camera and wallet inside. There are enough pockets to keep litte things like tickets or receipts, and I didn't have to bring my purse w/ me.

Much bigger than I expected but for the price was well worth it. Provides much storage.

We've been very happy with this accessory kit for our Sony HDR-SR12 Handycam camcorder. Comes with all sorts of useful goodies. Great buy, if only for the spare battery and carrying case together.

I purchased this kit to accompany a Sony DCR-SR47 Hard Disk Drive Handycam® Camcorder (Blue) I bought for a cruise to Alaska. Other reviews of the camcorder had recommended a spare battery. I chose this kit because it wasn't that much more expensive than buying the battery by itself.

I was initially taken aback by the size of the case, which was quite a bit larger than I expected. It didn't take me long to realize I now had enough space to pack the ac adaptors for the camcorder and my digital camera, without their removable cords, into the end compartments. I packed one removable cord (which fit both adaptors) in the main portion of the case along with the camcorder and camera. I packed the original battery in the front compartment. I also tucked may passport into that front compartment when I needed it, knowing the case would accompany me on those occasions. The camcorder manual didn't fit into the case because I used the internal case divider (which attaches with Velcro) to separate the camera and camcorder.

The battery in this kit has far more capability than the battery that comes with the camcorder and I used it almost exclusively. I didn't take many long videos, but I used the camcorder throughout each day and recharged the battery at night. I only ran out of charge once, and that was a day when I forgot to recharge the night before.

Having all my photo gear in one place proved quite handy throughout the trip. The case seems well made and I expect I'll use it many times before it wears out.

This combination of a case and a battery is perfect. Since I needed both, it was a great deal rather then buying these separately. Highly suggest it if you find yourself needing both.

I purchased this item as a replacement to go with my camcorder. It is great. It arrived on time and in excellent condition. The bag is roomy enough for the camera and all of my additional accessories. Plus it has several storage compartments. I will definitely be getting plenty of usage from it.

This bag is pretty nice compare to other's seen at the stores. The battery itself is already the price of both. It's a bargain, would highly recommened if someone wanted a nice bad for their camcorder..

i bought this bag for my sony hdr-sr11 camcorder and the camera fits just right in the bag. plus there is just enough space for the power adapter as well. the zippered pocket on the lid inside is good for remote and maybe one cable. there are 2 pockets one on each end for batteries lenses ect. plus a front pocket also good for cables. very happy with purchase. fits my needs fine if you need a bag with really good padding, look at more expensive bags. for most people this bag will work great. the battery is as advertised. i would recommend to friends.

1. Oodles of space. I could pack everything from my Sony Camcorder's box (cables,dock,remote ctrl etc, except CDs) into this case still leaving space to pack some more.

2. Good build quality, has adequate padding inside to protect the camcorder from regular bumps. Also looks like it should withstand normal rains without an issue .

I have to yet check the Battery but the one that came with my Sony wears out real fast so its better to go for this spare which has been reviewed to be long lasting one ...

None except the size. Its a bit bulky to lug around, kinda like a photographer's bag. All in all pretty practical if a little bulk around your camcorder doesn't make you too uncomfortable. I am happy with the purchase ...

I ordered a Sony HDR-SR11 Handycam, with hopes of using an older case I had laying around...but after I got the camcorder I thought it was way to nice to be stuck with a used camera bag.

I came to Amazon and found this kit with an extended battery and nice case! For cheaper than the battery alone!!!

1) The battery included with the HDR-SR11 is pretty decent, and I got through a pretty crazy family Christmas with it.

2) With that said the included NPFH70 that comes with this kit is at least double the life (in my usage at least) It almost seemed like it wouldn't die!

3) The case is very spacious, but I didn't find it to big for my HDR, its got a nice Velcro padded divider that makes a nice lone compartment for your camcorder, no matter what model. This leaving me a spot for a cleaning cloth, and lens cleaner, in the same main compartment.

4) Pockets, Pockets, Pockets! When I got my camcorder I didn't own any accessories, except the included remote which fits nicely in the top cover zippered mesh pocket. The case has a zippered pouch on both ends of the case (to the left and right of the front "Sony" lettering) both a perfect size for my spare battery and recently purchased 3 watt light. There is also a pocket on the front of the case (below the "Sony" lettering to the front of the case) that's pretty large, and personally I use it for spare DVD-R's, and a HDMI to mini HDMI cable.

This case is very well built, and extremely sturdy, the textile nylon exterior is really durable, and doesn't soak up water easily (NOT WATERPROOF BY ANY MEANS JUST LIGHT RAIN AND SNOW) the bottom is solid and has nice hard rubber/plastic feet to keep the case up off the surface its placed on.

I'm really happy with this case, perfect match for my new camcorder...I highly recommend it.

I bought this accessory kit in November and just getting around to review it after making sure I have used it enough. Anyone who has bought a handycam will agree with me that the case is a must have and having a spare battery depends on the use of the handycam. The case is great, i was able to fit in everything from all the cables, the cds/books with the handycam, the batteries and the battery charging kit. Buying the same from Sony directly will cost quite a bit. For me who uses the handycam for longer periods of time, a spare battery was a required item. I have a Sony HDR-SR11 handycam and the battery that comes with it hardly lasts for 90 minutes. The only minor thing that i have noticed is for some reason the battery takes a little while before recording at the best quality. Its like it needs to be warmed up or something. Overall a great deal. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has bought a new handycam.

The battery pretty much lasts the same for me as the battery that came with my Sony Sr 12 which is about a hour in a half of record time and about two hours for playback fully charged. The bag fits it perfectly and snugly inside which is good for a expensive camera. I even have room to store my normal camera on the other side. I store all my batteries and cards in the side pockets which is very nice. The bag has plenty of space for your camera, camcorder and accessories but the price on Amazon is steep considering I payed about sixty for mine. Great if you need a carrier for your camcorder since it has two pockets on the side, a long one on the front, has a zip thing under the top where it opens and the room inside for your camcorder. Overall very good quality and four stars simply because the price.

It is really a great add-on for the camcorder. The extra battery pack is really helpful and it accomodates my camcorder and the all the accessories easily.

Perfect. Just the right size for my Sony SR-11. I packed the charging base plate, extra battery, wall charger and all the cables. Has adjustable main compartment to secure the camcorder with just enough room left over to take my still camera if I want. Very good padding all around just in case I fumble.
Haven't used the battery much yet, but it shows twice the time of the standard battery.
Bought as a package it's like getting the case for free.

Bag is not as good as you would expect it to be, material is good but compartment division is just average and the zips are not smooth. Battery is a perfect replacement to the one that comes with HDR-SR11.

This bag is huge! i can fit the cables for my cameras, my sony camcorder HC52, my Canon powershot, both battery chargers, 6 dv tapes and theres still a little room!(maybe for another cable or tape-not enough for the cameras to rattle around) if you have two cameras and want only one case- try this one. the battery is great too. this is a steal! Sony itself sells this 114.99 and thats 'on sale'. manual for my camcorder will not fit in bag but i usually leave it in the box. noticed some people complaining about that. hope this helps!

Sony recommends this bag for our camcorder the HDR-SR11, but it is way bigger than it needs to be. Mind you we were also able to fit out digital camera in the bag, but I would try and find a smaller bag just for the camera. Included battery is fine. Good price too!

It's a nice case with lots of very handy pouches but if you want something smaller, pretty close to size of camcorder, look at something else. But if you want something that you can put your digital camera in or some other similar-sized item, this is good. I've got the Sony HDR-HC9 and if I stood it on it's side in the bag I could easily fit two of these inside the main compartment. It's actually bigger (in width, due to the side pouches) than my old bag which came with my Sony Hi-8 Handicam. I like to carry a lot of accessories so I do like the bag.

The size of the carry case is just right. It holds the camcorder, charger, connection cables, extra battery, and a few misc items. The kit is a great value, for less than the price of the battery, you get the battery and a case. A must for anyone purchasing a new camcorder.

Bought this after finally purchasing a replacement for my very aged Sony 8mm camcorder. Battery allows much better record time as opposed to the one that ships with the camcorder (Sony HDR-SR11). The battery only shows 144/151 min recording time with LCD on/off. Was expecting more battery life, the stock lasts less than an hour so this is a must during vacations.

The bag should be zipped instead of a clip-on since water/dirt might get in the bag easily.

The bag is nice and the battery adds the extra footage time I will need. It is basically the same size as the npfh60 battery. It cost me about $20 less than in store with free shipping.

This one looked big when I bought, but for storing my camcoder along with spare batteries, lens and cables, this one is just perfect!

I bought this bag for my Sony HDR-SR11 about a month ago and have used it about a dozon times. Overall the bag is too big for the handheld camcorder but you can carry alot of stuff so I recommend this bag. The camcord takes about half the size of the designated space. There are about 5 other storage compartments or side pockets, so plenty of space to carry the extra battery, cables, portable charger, etc. As for the batter that comes with the bag. I use it all the time and it lasted past my child's one and a half hour school program. And I recorder all acts in the program.

The case is a bit too large and the battery could last longer as the one that comes with the camcorder, but the price is great for a kit.

i bought this item seeing the picture on the net...
the product is absolutely fine but the only thing is that it is too much for my handycam.. mine is a sony sr42 handycam and the bag is very large for my cam and have to fill the bag with cables to compensate the empty space... battery is doing fine

I have had the battery and carrying case for about three weeks and found the case to be very light, durable, and more than adequate in size to carry any extra accessories (cables, docking station, etc.). I have used the battery in place of the standard battery to insure that I will not run out of power in the middle of something important (such as a recent wedding ceremony). I was not disappointed though I haven't put it to an extended test to determine total battery life. The combined offer sweetened the deal even more.

We bought this bag for our Sony video camera. This bag has plenty of room and extra compartments for wires and accessories. We are able to fit our regular Sony camera along with the Sony video camera and all accessories in this bag...which makes it very convienient for traveling. This is also a very durable product. This sony bag is definitely worth the money. Also, the accessory kit was very much worth the little extra money. The batteries alone are very expensive. I would recommend this product to anyone interested.

The price for the case and battery was good as most retail places charge even more for just the battery. The camera case is a nice size and allows for all the power cables and a/v cables and a few other things to all fit in the case.

I bought my accessory kit back in mid-August and am just now getting around to reviewing it here, near the end of November. I shopped and researched it thoroughly before deciding to purchase from Amazon. They had the best price with super saver shipping, so I saved quite a bit by not purchasing directly from Sony or other retailers. I should also mention that I got the kit (bag with battery) for roughly the same as what I would have paid for the spare battery by itself. Expect to wait a week or two if you use the super saver option. I got email confirmation that my order shipped 3 days after placing my order, then I received it about 8 to 10 days later. I was willing to wait in order to save the shipping cost.

The spare battery that comes with the kit is a MUST have. It lasts 3.5 hours compared to 80 minutes for the included battery that came with my camcorder. I have the Sony DCR-DVD308 handycam which comes with the NPFH40 battery.

As for the camera bag, I could sum it up with a few words or phrases. Functional and practical; attractive, sleek and stylish; compact, yet roomy enough to store all of your essentials.

To elaborate on some of it's features: the main compartment is divided into 2 sections. I use one half to store my handycam and the other half will hold 6 of the mini DVD-RW discs. There's room in the camera compartment to hold about 3 discs with the camera in there so that's convenient for keeping recorded discs separate from your blanks. There's a small, see-thru mesh, zippered pocket in the lid enclosure that would hold your camera's USB cable or memory sticks for picture taking. There are small, enclosed, zippered pockets on each side of the bag, big enough to hold a couple of discs or extra batteries. I keep the extra battery that came with the kit in one of these pockets when not in use. The front of the bag has a narrow zippered pocket that I use to store my camera's audio-video cables for hooking up to a TV for playback. There are also 3 small pouches sewn into each side of this pocket where I store my camcorder's remote, along with lens cleaning fluid and tissues. I should note that this pocket cannot be accessed without first opening the lid flap because it closes via locking clips directly in front of this pocket. That's not really a big deal to me, but the lid would be more convenient if it zippered closed rather than with the clips. I believe the clips are a lot sturdier than they appear, as another reviewer was concerned about them breaking. Unless you're really rough in handling your bag, I don't think that will be a problem. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase. I think the bag is sturdy, well made and adequately padded to protect it's cargo if you're careful with how you handle it. It's not designed for mountain climbing or other such activities where being dropped is a consideration. If that's what you need, then you should look for one of the more expensive backpack bags with lots of extra padding.

Fits all accessories that came with the Sony DCR-SR300 and the extra battery included in this product. Not much room for anything extra other than that. Highly recommended for those in search of a compact & organized way of transporting & storing your camcorder.

Purchased this for a new Sony Camcorder DCR-SR42. Price was way lower than all the Big Box stores. Battery is awesome & has the 3x the life of the regular battery. Bag is nice. I can fit all the accessories in it. Only complaint is that I wish the top zipped instead of the plastic buckle system. If the buckle were to break, the bag would not close. Hopefully, this never happens. Satisfied w/ purchase so far.

This bag looks nice, feels nice and fits my SR300 neatly. One really sad thing is their buckle. It looks so flimsy, and if it ever breaks we an throw the whole bag away.

Thats the weakest point of this bag, which I somehow feel was done intentionally for marketing skills.
