Sony LCS-VAC Soft Carrying Case for most Sony MiniDV, DVD & HDD Camcorders

I accidently hit the wrong key when I was browsing, and the camera carrying case was ordered, and shipped without my even giving the seller my credit card information. Then I couldn't reach them on the phone to get their approval to return, nor did they answer any of my three E-mails to them on the subject. Amazon came to the rescure, tho, and gave a credit.

I bought this case for my Sony DCR-HC96 Camcorder. I wanted something fairly compact so that I would be more likely to take my camera with me to more locations. I also wanted a case to protect my camera, while at the same time being to get to the camera quickly and to put it back quickly. I tend to get more shots that way without having to lug the camera around in my hand all day. I use both the belt loop at the shoulder strap at the same time. I made a slight modification to suit my own needs for quick and easy access to my camera. Using a single edge razor blade I cut the top flap off of the case. I find it much more convenient to use without the extra flap...and the zipper of the main case offers me all the protection I need when the camera is stowed. No one even notices that the case has been modified as I took time to make the cut carefully, and right a seam. I would recommend this case to anyone who wants a compact case for a similar use as I have described. I think the quality is good.

Good quality of the material used, but I miss one pocket to safe guard memory stick cards and other to keep cables to connect with TV or computer, don't have space for that.

Does exactly what I needed it to do, protect my new Sony HD videocam and carry peripherals like extra battery, light, etc.

I got this for less than other sellers. packing, shipping & product were good.

Nothing wrong about it, small, compact and fits the camera....
But it doesn't fit accessories you may to carry... At max, you can carry the battery and couple of cables in it... If that's your requirement (having it compact), it's great.

This carrying case is small, I have a Sony HDR-SR7 and it fits ok with the regular battery but if you use the more powerfull bigger battery the case barely closes, you have to force the zipper to close. You can keep the other battery in the front pocket but there is no space for cables.

Very compact. Perfect if traveling light. But if you are looking for a bag to carry all of your accessories, look elsewhere.

This is an excellent item, it's perfect to carry the camcorder and some other things.

Carrying the Handy-cam wasn't easy without this.
Just love it.
I tuck my cam-corder in it and move around anywhere i want to.

this case is not for the handycam dhc. its to big for the camera alone but not big enough for accessories.

we bought this carrying case for our dcr-dvd108 handycam and it is perfect. the camera fits in it perfectly and the case is nice and compact. in the front pouch you might would fit an extra battery - no cables though.

I found this case to be slightly bigger.. not as compact as I thought it was.. as there was still some space left after I put the camcorder in it.. However the extra space can be used to put batteries, lenses, etc..

Camera case was as advertized, however I have found it to be too small for my general use as it doesn't have enough storage for additional batteries, cables, and tapes.

Convenient and nice quality. I am able to store two batteries in the front pouch, but not much else.

I purchased this case to hold my Sony DCR-SR62 HDD camcorder (with extended life battery) and my Canon 410S digital camera. The case works great and leaves room for memory cards, spare battery, etc. More pockets would be helpful, but this case works great as is.

Perfect sized camcorder bag - holds my DCR-SR62 and associated accessories plus my Cybershot camera can fit in the front pocket.

The case is nice, my Hdr-Sr5 perfectly fits in there.

It have a small pocket on the front, which really is not helpful as you can't even put the charger and wires in there.

Thats the only this I see so far. I am using this almost 2 months now, and very satisfied with it.

this is a perfect carrying case for sony hard disc video camera.
it is perfect fit. there is also some room to put extra battery and cables or your digital camera.

It is good and enough to fit HDD camcorder in the carrying case.

I have just received my case and placed my Sony MiniDV camera, two extra batteries, and video cable, into the bag. This bag is more than ample to carry the basic items needed with this camera. If someone needs to carry the extra stuff, throw it in any form of a bag, and dump it in your suitcase, for usage in your room/home. For practicalities, you want your camera bag to be as light as possible when you are out shooting. A heavy bag gets very tiresome after a while. This bag is great, and has just the right size.

Returned this item to Amazon as it was too small for much of anything other than the camera. Felt the price was way too high for what I was getting in a carrying case.

I use this bag with my HDR HC7 and it fits perfectly. It has another front pocket that will just fit an extra tape. That is all you will fit in this bag, and that it the purpose I bought it for. Great bag.

This case is nice but just a little too small for the Sony HDR-UX1 camcorder I bought it for. It fits but quite a bit too tightly.

Bought it for my Sony DCR-SR40 30GB HDD, as I'm about to take a trip abroad. It serves its purposes - it's not big enough to fit both the camcorder and the charger mount and cable (best to leave those in my backpack or luggage at the hotel - I have no need of them as I'm wandering about to do the touristy thing anyway), but it's still big enough to fit both the camcorder in the main pouch, as well as an average-sized digital camera in the front pouch.

I have never received this item. I received the charger and the movie, but not the case. Please check this out. Request the case or refund of money for the case and shipping costs.

This case is so small that I can't realistically store my extra battery, an extra DV tape, and the DV tape case that is in the camera, let alone the small charger, the firewire cable, and a handful of tapes. I didn't expect to keep it all in the small bag but a little more room was expected. So I bought a larger bag and I keep my camera in the small bag and the small bag in the large bag with all the stuff. That way I can use the small bag when I am out and about and the larger bag stays in the trunk of the car or wherever.

It does what it is suposed to do. No space wasted

This carrying case was recommended for camcorders, but it is far too small for all the cords and things that came with the HDD that I also ordered at the same time.
It's a nice bag, but I' very disappointed with it's size. I have to carry another bag with me to fit all of the accessories.

I purchased this Sony LCS-VAC soft camcorder/digital camera carrying case for my Z650 from Kodak. It fits in nicely and still leaves some space for cables,batteris and cards/tapes etc. In fact it is pretty safe carrying case even if you drop the case with camers. carrying case is solid enough and has a belt clip and shoulder strap. If I am not carring any cables i can think of carrying a charger also in the same case or accomodate additional lenses in this cases. overall I am happy with the product.

I have some concerns for the delivery fee that Amazon and its associated merchants charge. Their prices are always high than other online merchants and on top of that amazon charges shipping fee on most of the items. Free super saver is just an eye wash. I tried to buy a lot of items but either they are not include in super saver or if they are included, their prices is way beyond other retailers for same quality and brand.

I use this bag for my Panasonic PVGS500 and it fits perfectly. The outside pocket can hold two minidv tapes or a Sony VCTTK1 pocket tripod. It is the ideal bag to carry on those days when you just want to bring your camcorder and some extra tapes and leave the rest at home. It is well padded and cheap considering the high quality of the product. Highly Recommended

This bag just fit for my SONY-DVD405 and extra battery and mini DVD. Just bring it, leave others in your room, shoot for short activities. Just take a look this case side by side with my handycam.

I had gotten this camera bag out of a combo set from Sony.
I don't use the bag for my camcorder, I use another Sony case for that. I use this as an extra bag to hold all of my manuals and to carry my extra lenses. The pack is easy to put onto a belt or onto the strap on my other camera bag.
I recommend this case for people that are like me and have a camcorder bag, but need a spare case for more space for their extra accessories.

The case is nice but is too big for this camera. Probably you will like it if you use to bring a lot fo cassettes with you. If you want a small case as the camera look for other one.

Before you review anything I feel you have to state your expectations of the product. Thus, the following is what I wanted: A cushioned case that will adhere to the shape of my camcorder and provide placement for commonly carried accessories. Stylish comestic appearance helps a lot.
Based upon those requests I believe this carrying case serves an awesome purpose. I recently purchase a Panasonic GS-31 and the fit is almost perfect (with the exception of an 1 inch of space above. I encourage buyers to be very cautious when purchasing cameras as even if Amazon lists it as an accessory it may not fit as you expect. I only give four because i would have appreciated 2 pockets instead of 1.
