[+] 2.0 Child can't hear
I can't either. While children have more sensitive hearing than adults neither of my two children (age 5 and 7) can hear from the pair we purchased. My son has a different earphone product that works beautifully. They have a volume control on the cord. I understand why that can be a problem, however, in our case, we have a useless pair of earphones.

[+] 4.0 Broke quickly
We got these for my 5 year old daughter to use with her MP3 player. I was excited at the idea of the volume control since I knew she liked to turn it all the way up. However she only had these about 2 months when they stopped working all together. I thought it was the MP2 player, but it worked with my headphones fine. My daughter is fairly careful, as careful as a 5 year old can be, and really only used these in the car for long trips. I certainly don't believe anything was done beyond normal wear. I was disappointed since I thought I had paid more to get a better quality. We are now using the Philips kids headphones and have been pleased with the quality.

[+] 10.0 Perfect
These headphones fit my kids good with room to expand when their heads grow. They are 7 years old now. They look nice & most importantly sound good. I was concerened about the volume level but that is not an issue. I had our Sony DVD player on about 10 & it sounded great, when I put it to 12 my daughter said way too loud. The volume can go up to 20 but it doesn't look like you have to crank it in order to hear on these headphones since 10 was plenty. Maybe my DVD player just puts out a lot of power or maybe others were not putting out good power. I haven't tried in a plane yet but it looks like we have room to turn up volume to compensate for background noise. They have good bass & full sound for inexpensive headphones. Of course there is better but they are easily accpetable, especailly for a kid.

[+] 10.0 Sony Headphones
These pink headphones were a perfect match for the pink Sony DVD player that we purchased for our 9 year old daughter. She has used them daily for almost a year now, and we have never had an issue. They have a clear, quality sound and are very durable. I would definitly recommend them to anyone. Sony tends to have top of the line products that are a good value.

[+] 10.0 Perfect Headphones for Computer class!!
If you younger kids have to have headphones for their school computer class...These Sony headphones have been suggested by the computer teacher in my daughters' school. They work great! They stay on little heads and aren't too bulky. Also, if you order them through Amazon.com they only take a few days to arrive! You can still have them to start the year-next week!

Cheap look and feel. My 9 year old hates how it feels on her ear.

[+] 10.0 Pink Headphone for my Princess
Works great, not much to it. Just adjust the band to fit your child (my child is 4-1/2 years old) and away you go.

[+] 10.0 Excellent headphones for my 3 and 5 year olds
We needed some chid-size headphones to replace the wireless that came with our Honda. These fit the kid's heads and added bonus having the pink for my daughter. Teamed these with one 3.5MM extension cable to get headphone to the passengers side - both kids love them

[+] 8.0 Pleased w/ headphones
While the headphones are for g-daughter's birthday in September, I was pleased with the service and product. She'll be thrilled to get them.

[+] 6.0 Definitely won't get too loud.
These headphones definitely keep the sound from getting too loud. My kids didn't complain about the sound but I found them too soft. When I put the DVD player without headphones at a comfortable volume and then plugged in the headphones the volume definitely decreased. I suppose this is good for protecting a child's sensitive ears but if an adult plans to use them as well they will probably be disappointed.

[+] 8.0 Kids Headphones
I bought these at the time I bought myself some ear buds. My 2 year old saw my packaged and asked "Where are my ears?", so I'm glad I purchased these. They stay on her little head and keeps the sound down. So they do their job.

[+] 10.0 Great for kids
My daughter is 6 and she loves this headphones. All adult ones had been too big and uncomfortable. These have room to grow for her and she has no problem with the volume level in our truck. She mainly uses them for audio stories and cds.

[+] 4.0 Nice but sound too low in car.
We bought these for our 5 yr. old to watch dvds on our laptop while traveling and for use with an ipod. I like the idea that the heads phones would not get too loud. Unfortunately, with all the road noise, she could verily hear the sound. I tried myself and it was very hard to hear. If using in the house, the sound is fine and the smaller size is great. However, if your computer sits on the floor under a desk with the only headphone jack in the back, the 3.5 foot cord isn't quite long enough. We added an extension and it helps. At least she doesn't get tangled up in the cord! She actually prefers earbuds because they don't fall off her head but as a mom, I prefer headphones that don't go directly into her ear.

[+] 4.0 Poorly constructed
I bought these for my daughter for Christmas. 2 1/2 months later, the plastic is cracked where the earpieces attach to the head band. I have them taped together. The size is perfect, and she loves the pink color. I would have expected a product made with more durable materials for children, and especially from Sony.

[+] 10.0 Perfect for children
These have worked perfectly for my 9 and 4 year old daughters who are not comfortable wearing little earbuds or big adult headphones for MP3 players or portable DVD players. I especially like the fact that the cord is only attached to one side of the headphones, not both sides, so the cord doesn't go across their necks and I don't have to worry about it choking them. Highly recommended for children.

[+] 6.0 cute but too small
these
would probably work for 5 to 6 yr old children of average size.
had to send them back. My granddaughter is 8yrs old and they
were too small.

[+] 8.0 great size, volume a little low
This fits my 5yr perfectly and fits my 2.5 yr pretty well.
It's good that the volume cannot get very high but the max volume is a little low, especially in the airplane.

[+] 10.0 Child Friendly
My daughter likes the fact that the Sony MDR-222Kd headphones are sized to better fit my granddaughter's head. So far they seem to be holding up well as she uses the headphones with her CD player and for watching DVDs on a portable DVD player. Sound quality is decent for headphones of this type and price.

[+] 6.0 Sandy says
This product is very well constructed and a great item. I was disappointed that it did not tell me that it was for children 8 and over. I had purchased it for my grandaughter who is 4 to use with her DVD player when traveling. It works well for her with close supervision.

[+] 8.0 Great - my kids love them.
Perfect for kids who are too young/small to use the earbuds that come with video games and mp3 players.

[+] 4.0 Poor Sound Quality & Extremely low volume
Maybe we got a dud...but I bought some of these headphones at Target before a road trip & the sound quality is extremely poor. Our 5 y.o. finally just wanted them unplugged since the ambient road noise was drowning out the sound from the show she was watching. I suspect the volume regulation is set low in an abundance of caution against ear damage, but Sony went too low in this case.
