[+] 10.0 Safe and proves it's purpose
This table works great! It is not as flat as pictured (think soft frisbee). It's designed to collapse in the event of an accident, which is piece of mind for me - especially when it attaches around your child. It keeps crayons from rolling to the floor. My child uses a cardboard backed note book to support her paper for drawing. Great for eating on the go! She no longer has to balance a sandwich on her little lap. A+

[+] 8.0 GREAT FOR LUNCH ON THE GO
I bought this because my 5-year-old needs to eat lunch in the car on weekdays. It works great for that purpose. I gave it 4 stars because I think it should have a mesh cup holder in the tray (which could be used for drinks, or for crayons and such). The side pockets are nice for storage, but they do not work for drinks (unless you use a spill-proof sippy cup, and even then it's a little hard for a child to get the cup in and out). I think the size is perfect and the tray is versatile. I ended up buying a second one for my 3-year-old :)

[+] 4.0 Not very useful
It is ok but it isn't very useful and it takes a bit of work to put it on the seat everytime you use it. I am worried that she will get car sick if she uses it on long trips and I am a little worried about the safety with it attached on her if she was in a accident. I guess it is better than something hard being in front of her but I doubt it has been tested to be safe or not. It is flimsy too. I don't think it will hold up for long and find that it just ends up on the floor being trampled on.

[+] 10.0 Excellent product!
This is a great product. It is a perfect size for snacking and playing. It is solid enough that it doesn't slip forward or to the side. I am very pleased!

[+] 10.0 Handy
We purchased this for our 2 year old son to use during a cross-country driving trip. This worked GREAT! It fit snugly against him and his carseat. It was easy enough to put on and take off. It worked well for eating, drawing and playing and cleaned up easily. The pockets were handy to keep his sippy cup as well as crayons, etc. although they were hard to him to reach. I highly recommend this to anyone whose child needs to 'multi-task' in the car!

[+] 8.0 Great for travel
This wouldn't be real practical for every day use imo... but for travel and when you know you are going to be in the car for a while it comes in very handy!
ESPECIALLY when we were eating in the car on the road. Before this tray someone had to sit back there with her and hand feed her each item even though she is over 2...otherwise it was just to messy. Now, with this tray, we can lay out the items for her and let her eat on her own. It is easily cleaned by just shaking off the mess and then wiping it down with baby wipes at your next stop.
We love this and will probably use this for several years. Works great with our Britax car seat.

[+] 8.0 Travel Tray
I like the product a lot. My son enjoys it as it prevents his toys from falling. I like that it is cushioned so it won't hurt him or isn't uncomfortable. The one thing is that it is a bit difficult to take off and on as my son wants to use it for short trips as well. Truly recommend this product for traveling.

[+] 6.0 Nice idea, but grandaughter did not like it.
I thought this was a great idea and purchased it for a round-trip flight from Washing DC to California and back with 3 year-old grandaughter and her car seat. It lasted about 15 minutes on the airplane and she wanted it OFF!. Could not get her to try it again.

The tray is soft (good if in an accident), but would not stay level for her to play on. Surface not strong enough to use for coloring or writing (or doing a puzzle). Items would not stay put where she wanted them to stay. It ended up being just one more thing to carry on and off the airplane.

I can imagine putting Cheerios or other small food items on it for a small child and keeping them happy for a long time.

At last something to prevent the constant fall of books and toys to the floor in the car....I can go back to enjoying my driving without worrying if the little fella is going to be entertained!!

[+] 10.0 Great tray!
I loved this tray so much for my 3 year old, that I bought another one for my 1 1/2 year old. This tray works great for when you're on the road and the kids need to eat in the car. I was worried at first that my 3 year old wouldn't like it (he's autistic). When he figured out that he could eat his snacks much easier, he had no problem using it. I would definitely recommend this product.

[+] 10.0 Happy Travelers
We got the Snack & Play Travel Tray for our 8 year old son to use on a 5 state car trip and LOVED IT! It made the trip so much more enjoyable for all of us. He liked using it for snacks and meals as much as drawing and playing with his toys(the large side pockets were a hit). I enjoyed using it as well, as it is fully adjustable. When we weren't using it we were able to keep it within arms reach by hanging it on the headrest of the seat in front. I wish we had discovered this product years ago!

[+] 8.0 Kids Car Tray
I read the reviews about this product prior to purchasing it and although the common thread about it being too soft was evident, I bought two anyway. I'm not disappointed with the trays so far. My oldest son is 3, and he used the tray on a 3 hour drive. He had a blast crashing his cars on the table top and I'm glad I had an area to place his snacks so that fries and nuggets weren't smashed between the car seat cushions. My youngest son is 1 1/2 and he had an issue with the tray sitting on his legs the very first time he used it, on a 20 minute ride home from day-care. After that first time he was ok with it. I definitely recomend it from a practical stand point but as a mom I know some kids just won't like using it, personal preferences and all. I gave it a four because although it has the lips, on occasion things do roll off somehow...maybe its my kids, and because the pockets are in weird places so the kids can't reach some of the things in them espcially small things like crayons.

[+] 8.0 Wish we would have purchased it sooner!
Wonderful product for long car trips or commuting. The table top was softer than I realized (it could bend in half if you really wanted) but our son loved having the space to read books and vroom cars on during our long road trip. Simple enough to install and take on and off for when we got out of the car.

[+] 6.0 Good for slightly older children, not toddler
This product is well made and easy to use, and I thought my 2 1/2 year old would like it for our long trips we take visiting family every month. But it annoyed her and she wasn't able to utilize the side pockets. I think slightly older children may be able to use it better and am saving it until then. The tray does seem to also be at a slight slant when it's buckled in, but hopefully it will be more easily adjustable when she's older.

[+] 10.0 Great for eating on the run - kids or adults
I bought this b/c I have a new car and didn't want it littered with junk. Sometimes there isn't enough time to go home and eat between school and extracurriculars, so a snack in the car is necessary. My kids are 10, 7 and 6 and this is perfect. They buckle it around themselves, the tray catches everything, and the mesh sides have tight elastic at the top to hold the trash in until we get home.

[+] 10.0 Still using them after 2 years
Like a lot of moms, we spend tons of time in the car. We bought these 2 years ago and still use them. It's handy to hang them over the headrest so they hang behind each of their sets. I also cut rubbery, waffle shelf liner to fit and that keeps things from sliding. These did not work with the Britax car seats because of the sloping armrests; we use them with our SafeGaurd Go and they work great!

[+] 10.0 Good Solution for Packable Travel Tray
We picked this up for use with a car seat on a plane ride and it worked out great. I wasn't sure about the soft surface and my husband was concerned that it would be too big and encroach on others but it worked out fine. It was easy to strap across our son and his car seat (much easier than actually trying to get the carseat latched into the airplane seat). There are latches on both sides of the wrap-around strap so it is easy to attach no matter what side the car seat is on. The surface was able to hold our laptop to watch a movie. There was room on either side of the car seat to let the side flaps down and those would have been handy for his water bottle and toys, if it had been a longer flight. We were able to fold up the tray and stick it with the car seat into the car seat carrier we use to carry the carseat through the airport. We haven't used it in the car as yet, but it would have been very handy on a road trip last summer . . . :-)

[+] 6.0 Cool idea, but did not work for us
The idea is to have a tray that attaches to the car seat. It didn't really work for our 15 month old. Maybe it was because she is too young. But, having to carry another item while going through airports is a pain. It is small and folds up, but it is bulky and takes up space in your bag/backpack.

[+] 10.0 My daughter loves it!
I read a lot of reviews on different trays before purchasing this one, and I am very happy with our purchase. My daughter is 20 months old, and the first time I used the tray, she didn't want to get out of the car! She loves it and uses it for puzzles, books, games, snacks, etc. If you are wondering what types of car seats this tray works with, we have the Britax Roundabout in one car and the Britax Marathon in another, and the tray works great with both.

[+] 8.0 practical and good for long trips
I bought this travel table for a long drive from Seattle to SF. It was nice to be able to put a few different toys in from of my little girl and not having to worry about them falling out. She loves use it a snack table as well. It is very light weight and works nicely in general. She asked for the table every time we get back into the car. The only con is that the tabletop is made of foam (not rigid) so it's not the best surface to write on.

[+] 6.0 Kids Travel Tray
We bought this for our son to have a place to set his dvd player on for our road trips. It serves it's purpose, but not without frustration.

First, you have to run the strap behind the car seat to connect the buckles, and anytime you unbuckle it (because you have to in order to get your child out of the car seat), many times the strap will slip back out from behind the seat, forcing you to redo it every time.

Second, the foam board that is the actual tray is not nearly as sturdy as it appears in the description of the item. It folds in half for easy storage, but because of that, there is a constant crease in the tray. It was apparently meant to hold only items that are as light as a toy car. The dvd player we use is a few pounds. It makes the tray sag. In addition, it always slides toward the front end of the tray, making it necessary to keep scooting it back toward my son so he can see the screen properly.

Finally, the side pockets are virtually useless since you have to constantly remove the entire item to get your child in and out of their seat. It is just

[+] 10.0 Breakfast on the go
I love this thing! Every other week, I take my 18-month old daughter to an early morning "mommy and baby" social at church. Because we're always in a hurry those mornings, I cook her pancakes or other finger food breakfast the night before and heat it up the next morning. Instead of waiting for her to finish breakfast, she eats on the drive to church. I love that the tray has a lip all around and keeps her dish from sliding off the tray. That's about the only time I use it.

We will likely be using it to keep her entertained during the long road trips this holiday season. It holds her books and sturdy enough to also hold her favorite bulky pop-up toy.

[+] 8.0 RV travel tray
Happy with this purchase. was hesitant to buy based on some reviews of it being "bendy" however, I realize this if for safety reasons. it offers plenty of support for y 2 1/2 year old to color and watch a portable dvd player also great for a food tray. Purchased for an RV road trip that has not come up yet but use it regualry for road trips. he loves it becsuse he can keep all his stuff within reach. though the "front" pockets are far for him to reach.

[+] 10.0 Great for long trips and short ones, too
We bought this for a long drive (California to Montana) and it was great for keeping our 2-year-old entertained. He could play with his toys on it, draw, eat, etc. Even on shorter trips, it's great. It's soft so it won't injure your child if you'd get into an accident, but it's still sturdy enough. Love it!

[+] 2.0 Too flimsy for me
Obviously many others really like this product but I just didn't like it. It is flimsy and is not represented well by the stock photograph. I'd like to post a photo but I can't show how soft it is because I would have to set it on something which makes it look rigid. Basically, I was expecting something that my daughter could color on and set her juice on. As flimsy as this is there is no was this is possible.

[+] 10.0 We love this tray!
I have three kids 3,4, and 10 (the 10 year old has special needs) they are all still in Britax carseats and we were looking for something to take on a 15 hour car ride. I only ordered two to begin with and we loved them so much we ordered a third and had it shipped to our hotel. It worked great for snack and toys for the trip both ways. My son liked having a place to put his Leapster during the drive and my daughter liked being able to play with her littlest Pet Shop toys without them falling all over. The kids used coloring books on the tray and it worked great. I think it would be tough to use single sheets of paper on them but they were perfect for us, I have already convinced my friend to try it with her 2 year old.

[+] 10.0 car snack tray
I bought two of these trays for my boys. Becasue I have to drive a long distance with them each morning, we usually eat breakfast and a snack after school in the car. These trays have helped keep the food from falling onto the car floor. I was cleaning my car of food item each day before I had the trays. Now, I just have a light cleaning once a week. It was a wise purchase for us. The boys enjoy the trays as much as I do :-)

[+] 10.0 Woth it!
We bought this for an 8 hour drive (each way) with our 18 month old daughter. It fit perfectly on our Britax Boulevard CS... it was close to her and was flat and sturdy, even though the material is soft. The surface was big enough for her to "read" books, color/draw, and eat and the edges kept most things from rolling away from her. It was easy to attach and to clean. Given the cost of most toys, this was worth every penny. We had a great trip and I think our daughter's access to her toys kept her entertained and content with the long ride.

[+] 10.0 Great product, I should have bought this sooner.
I bought this lap tray for our first long trip, we were taking a 9 hour drive to NC. I hoped it wouldn't be a waste and it wasn't. For the majority of the ride my toddler (3) used it. He read his books on it, including did stickers, ate snacks and used it just to lay his arms on while resting. I enjoying it because I didn't have to hear him fussing about his books, toys, etc. falling to the floor from his lap. He continues to use it for books and to play with his small figurine toys. I believe this is a must have for anyone with a toddler.

[+] 10.0 LOVE the travel table!
We actually bought one of these 2 years ago for our then 2 year old. Just purchased another for our newest 2 year old. These are great! They are soft, so the kids are not bothered by them being on their seats for a long drive. It is nice to set their meal on there, or a coloring book and crayons; whatever your child desires to play with is securely on the table. There are pockets on the side for more books or a drink. We don't use them for every day use, but we do for long trips.

[+] 10.0 Amazing for my 4 year old!
I absolutley loved this travel tray. We recently took my 4 year old to Disney World in Florida all the way from Chicago. He loved it. I have seen others that have a harder tray but this one appealed to me because of the 2" lip on it that didn't allow things to fall off the tray. He did puzzles, colored, read books, and played with cars and toys. It was even easy to remove and put on when we stopped for potty breaks. I highly reccomend this product!

[+] 10.0 Grat Product!!
This is perfect for long or short trips. My 2 year old loves to use this to draw on and to eat snacks at. It keeps her stuff from falling on the floor and the pockets are great for holding her supplies. We have the Britax Marathon car seat and it fits perfectly. There are a couple "holes" under her arms at both sides where crayons and food can fall but she has learned to deal with them. Its normally not an issue.

This is a good product for older kids. I tried to use it with my 15 month old and it didn't work. I think I'll try it again when she's 2. The tray comes folded in half in a plastic package. I found it a little difficult to flatten out so there isn't a big hump in the middle.

[+] 6.0 It worked, wished it could have been better
The strap componant has a clip on each side so if your car has the room to unclip one side and sort of flip it out of the way then that would work great. Our carseat is next to the door on the passenger side and my mom sitting next to the car seat could easily reach to unclip the one close to her but then trying to shove it out of the way between the door and carseat didn't work so well. We used this on a 16 hour drive for our 2.5 year-old and when it was in position she could color nicely. It was too flimsy to do much else on, I wouldn't try and serve snacks on it for instance because of the slope. Also our daughter seemed to feel hemmed in when this was in place because it covered so much of her and because the strap has to loop behind her we had to stop the car to take it on and off. For the return trip we didn't use it all. Perhaps when she's older and can manipulate it herself this will be more handy.

[+] 8.0 Snack Tray
I bought this before a long car ride vacation so my 2 year old could play with her toys and color while riding. After trying one that was supposed to clip down on to her car seat (and was extremely unstable), I ordered this one that snaps around the seat. Fantastic product!! Only downside was that it was a very hot week-end traveling and her legs got sweaty under the tray. It's just the right size that she can easily reach the crayons that roll to the edges but nothing rolls out!

[+] 8.0 Great for long car rides
We drove from SC to WI and back for summer vacation and this was such a life saver! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it wasn't 100% perfect, if my son kicked his legs, his food would go flying back into his seat and so we had a lot of snacks just sitting in the seat with him. But, I still strongly recommend this for anyone traveling for a long distance!!

[+] 6.0 Very uncomfortable on the lap
I should have listened to some reviews. It doesn't fit well over my 2 yo's lap. First problem, it doesn't sit flat as a table and so his snacks would fall to one side. Then it is not comfortable resting on his lap. I usually get great buys from amazon. But, this is one product where I wasted my money. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it.

[+] 6.0 Good product, but not as sturdy as I expected
Tne tray is a great buy as it keeps my son's toys from falling on the floor. It is not very sturdy though. I have to give him a whole pad of paper so he won't put holes in it when he tries to color. And I saw one picture with a sippy cup sitting in the corner.... That will not work at all!! Maybe if your car is sitting still, and your child doesn't move at all, it might work then, but I doubt it.
I am still mostly glad that I purchaced it though.

[+] 2.0 not as sturdy as I thought
I ordered this to take on a plane for my 2 year old because I thought her car seat would make the flip down plane tray not usable. I didn't even open the package until we got on the plane and was surprised to find it is not stiff/sturdy like it looks in the picture. I tried putting a sweater and pillows on her lap to keep the tray level and all of that stuff just drove her crazy and the ridge of the tray farthest from her was still tilting down to the ground. I also couldn't tighten the strap enough so that it was tight against her body. we couldn't use it and the plane tray did reach her just fine.

I had to return it when I got home because we weren't able to use it all.

[+] 8.0 Great For Long Trips!!
We took this on our last family vacation and it was a tremendous help. Usually we have to hand him snacks, his sippy, his cars, etc. With the Snack and Play, he ate cheerios and drank milk, and drove his cars all the way to St Louis! I didn't have to turn around every few seconds, except when he threw his cars down for me to pick up as a game. What can you do about that, anyway. I would recommend this product. I like the sides, so snacks don't fall off and it's soft, so it wouldn't hurt him in the event of an accident. Good Purchase!
