These three bins make the task of recycling (we don't have an option to get bins from the city here) much easier. We've actually ordered 2 of these kits for a total of 6 bins. I do wish that they had a good place to put a label as to what is to go into what bin. I used a label-maker to make labels for them, but they probably aren't going to last 6 months before I have to replace them. (The labels that is...)

Overall I'm very happy with the bins. They still stack nicely with small amounts of recyclables in them (we have to do our own sorting, too...) and the opening is large enough for most household items to pass easily. Overall we are very happy, but molding in a labeling spot would make these bins near perfect.

We have had these bins for about 1.5 months. I like their size and stackability. Disappointingly, all of them have already been significantly cracked after the curbside recycling team in our town dumps the contents and then throws them on the ground. Our older bins were somewhat sturdier than these, but we can't find them anymore (replaced old ones because they were eventually cracked in the same way). We like the bins enough that we'll probably keep using them, but may move all the contents to the free city bins before putting recycling out curbside (our city bins are open bins, but seem to stand up to the curbside abuse). I thought the price was high for a product that really can't take a curbside recycling beating. If you keep them in your home or garage, you'll probably love them. Beware, if you plan to set them out on your curb for pickup.

Just love this system for recycling. I had put it off and put it off, because I couldn't think of any efficient system to set up in my kitchen for recycling materials. These bins don't take up too much space since they stack. They are the perfect size because they hold quite a bit, but not so much that I can't easily carry them to the car for the recycling center. Thank you for helping me become responsible about recycling.

We're inveterate recyclers living in the Pacific Northwest. For years we've been using open office waste bins for our recycling and, even though we wash everything out, we ended up with a rodent problem in our garage. In addition, the unsightly mess of having numerous different containers scattered in one corner of the garage was a problem for me.

When the Suncast Recycle Bins arrived we were able to create a neatly contained color-coded recycling center along one wall in our garage. We think this system is perfect. Its lidded containers won't invite rodents into our home ever again but the lids are easy to open and they stay open for loading until you physically close them.

The only problem we had was that the shipper sent us one mismatched lid that messes with our color-coded recycling system. Another problem you might find with this bin is that they don't work very well outside if you're in a windy area like we are. These are very nice as all the reviews have said. However they are quite large if you live in an apartment like I do with limited kitchen space. Id say if I stacked them altogether they are about 6ft tall. Also I had expected to be able to toss these into the car when taking them off to the recycling but thats not going to happen.

That said, they are still very nicely designed containers. No complaints other than too large for an apartment.

We ordered these bins after looking around for something that we could store outside. The bins do a good job of keeping the rain/snow out of our recyclables and work well. We were happy with the purchase until we saw the same bins (different color, grey/black lid) at our local home depot for $9.99 each.

Bought these for the office. They're perfect!! One have newspaper in one, plastic in another and cardboard lunch packages in the third. Would recommend this to anyone!

We recently decided to get really serious about recycling. We had been just putting all of our recyclable stuff in boxes and bags. They were always either breaking open or just in the way because we couldn't stack them and still have them usable. These bins are very sturdy and stackable. They take up very little floor space and are easily loadable when stacked. We have to take our recyclables to a recycling center and these bins are just the right size to load into our car and are not so big as to get too heavy to lift. The only complaint is that they should come as a 4 pack for paper, plastic, cans, and glass. Very highly recommended.

The colors are a little bright but only colors to choose from.

They don't get much better than this. Bins are sturdy and strong. They hold a ton - we recycle all we can, and we still only have to take the bins to the local recycling center every other week. Highly recommended.

We love these bins, we have had them for about 6 months and they are great. I was able to clean up the garage and get rid of all the bags, they hold a lot and stack easily. Worth every penny. I am buying another set. 3 of them fit easily into the trunk of our Honda Civic (6 fit into the back of our Jeep Cherokee).

We are very happy with these bins. They stack well, are large enough that we don't have to go to the recycling center every week, and seem sturdy. The only reason that I didn't give them 5 stars is because the lids on two of them are stiff when we close them and make a plastic cracking noise. (They're not cracking; it's just loud.)

These bins are perfect for recycling. Big enough to hold a couple weeks worth of recycled material. They were a little bigger than I pictured them when I ordered them but that actually worked out for the best. Very easy to clean in case of spills. They are sturdy when stacked as well.

I love these bins - they are quite large, so they hold 2 weeks worth of recycling, which is what I needed. My only complaint is that I haven't figured out how to put bags in them to hold the recycling, so I do have to transfer everything out to take it to the curb, but otherwise these bins are just great.

The bins are durable yet light enough to easily carry from indoors to outside to place in the pick-up can required by our neighborhood. The bins stack nicely and provide a fairly large amount of storage that makes for easy sorting by recycling type by color (e.g., newspapers in green, cans in yellow) in a reasonably-small footprint. The hinged lids are large enough to fit a plastic gallon milk jug, although the entire lid can also be easily removed (when not stacked on each other, of course). The lid hinges are a bit noisy, though. Overall a great product that delivers well on what it promises.

My HOA recently required everyone to have covered recycling bins due to high winds. While I wasn't pleased with that -- I am pleased with these and now i have opened up alot more space in the garage by replacing three big recycling bins with this tower. They are easy to snap together and stack well. I don't think the pickup men like them much as the lids are a bit weird to pop off and one of them they actually mangled in two. Thankfully, these sturdy bins snapped right back together.

These products are great for organizing your recycling. I placed duct tape on the lids and named the bins for "tins" "plastic" & "glass". If you're looking to get some type of organization in your garage...these work great! Our kids love them and my husband is happy that there are no more piles overflowing. Get them, they are well worth the money!

The colors aren't as bright as the picture shown but I'm glad about that. If you recycle a lot this is good for you. Price is very affordable. They are very big and I have them stacked on top of each other to save room. I just put a recycle bag in and it's ready to go. Lids are very easy to remove and put back on. If you don't use a bag you will have a mess to clean.

Very roomy and easy to use and stack. We bought 2 sets and they are exactly what we were looking for. We live 4 hours from our closest recycling place so these give us the room we need to fill them up till our next trip to the recycling center. Thanks for a great product!

I use these Recycle Bin Kits to store dead animals which I use in the winter for eating or bone collecting. They are color coordinated so I can see them at night without a flashlight.

They are Ideal for recycling dry body parts or mice fur as well.

I have about 80 Stacks of these in my garage, most of them are sitting empty as I am a constant hoarder.

I just got these today, two days after I ordered them, with free super saver shipping. They are nice and big for a lot of recyclables. I live in an apartment and we have to take the recycling to bins and it's nice to have it all organized, instead of all over the kitchen floor. It is easy to take to the car and take them to the recycling bins. I'm very happy with this product.

A little on the pricey side, however, this unique recycling system is well worth the money. The containers are stackable (as shown) AND roomy, which I haven't been able to find elsewhere. It's ideal!

If your looking for large bins for recycling you've found them. These bins are large and perfect for recycling. They fit perfect next to my refrigerator in place of my regular garbage can, and look good at the same time. I only go to the recycling center 1x a week, now without having bags piled in my garage waiting.
They arrived damaged due to lack of packing material but with a couple of e-mails to Suncast the broken ones were replaced with no problem.

These colorful bins are excellent. I bought one set and have them stacked in the garage for the recycling items. They are easy to handle and the lids stay open or closed and are easy to remove. They load easily in the car and then can be stacked neatly on the way home from recycling. The bin with soda cans in it washed out with the hose very easily. I think one more set will be good to hold all the different kinds of recycling. Locally I can buy grey ones cheaper, but I like the colored ones a lot more. Now my kids are more willing to help and be involved with recycling.

Like them very well, I do think the price of them is a little steep, though. Would love to have more, but refuse to pay your price. Thank goodness for the free shipping. Bring the price down, and I will buy more. Can be used for so many things.

I bought six of these recycle bins, labeled and placed in my garage! They are perfect for all my recycling needs. I load them in the truck, carry to the recycling center and head home! I think that they would also be great for organizing children's toys or any other organizational needs. They are a bit pricy, but I think that they are worth the extra money because of the stackable option.

I had been looking for some stacking bins for my dry dog and cat food and a third bin for dog toys, leashes etc. These bins were exactly what I had been looking for - they take up less floor space than the sacks of food, have lids that snap shut and stay up when opened. I am very happy with them.

I bought these recycle bins for my boyfriend for Christmas. I did a lot of price-checking and shopping around before I purchased these, and found that this was the best way to go because they stacked on top of each other, as well as were color-coated, and could open/close while being stacked on each other. I found similar bins at target that were clear, but they didn't open and close and were more expensive. We've found that these bins hold way more recycling than we imagined and they have been very helpful! It makes recycling even more fun.

The Recycle Bin Kits are PERFECT! They fit in the back of our SUV when we go the dump. They keep our shed & car clean & organized! And smelling good too!

My only regret with my purchase of the Suncast Recycle Bin Kit is that I didn't buy it sooner. My boyfriend and I both love these bins because they've made recycling in our 2nd floor apartment monumentally easier and more organized.

Living on the 2nd floor means hauling our garbage and recycling downstairs. For the first few months at this new apartment, our recycling method consisted of piling up empty jars, bottles, cans, etc. at the end of the kitchen counter, until we finally put them in a shopping bag to carry downstairs to the communal bins. Either our counter was always cluttered, or a bag of recyclables sat by the front door waiting to be brought downstairs.

Now, we have these Suncast bins stacked in our utility/storage closet, conveniently located right between the kitchen and front door. It's SO easy and convenient now to just open the door, flip open the large flap, and toss the recyclables in. The colors make it even easier to remember what goes in which bin. (Speaking of the colors, as other reviewers have noted, they are brighter in the manufacturer's picture than they are in real life. I prefer the less neon colors so this was a plus for me.)

Another improvement since receiving these is our recycling output has increased. Whereas previously, I might've just tossed, say, an empty paper towel roll, those little things now get put in the bins for recycling. And all those little things sure do add up!

But the biggest improvement is probably that, thanks to the large capacity of the bins, we only have to carry them downstairs to dump in the communal bins once a week--even with our increased output! And despite their large capacity, this stack has a relatively small footprint. There's still plenty of space left in the closet we have them in.

I've gotta tell you--I looked all over for other solutions before finally deciding on this set, and nothing else compared. If I had tons of lower cabinet space, I might have gone for one of those pull-out varieties that require installation. But that's just not the case for us. Not to mention, those solutions are pricier and have a smaller capacity, so I would've likely gone for these anyway. In my search, I actually came across a nearly identical Suncast bin, in a neutral color, sold individually. Even that was significantly more expensive than the per bin cost of this set. I was left with no choice but to purchase this set after determining that, not only was it the best solution, but also the best value!

P.S. Although these are marketed as recycling bins, they'd make great storage bins for a huge variety of things. We're considering buying another set to use in our small outside storage unit and on our terrace. Two of them may be used for storing dirt and compost for our container gardening. Imagine how easy it'll be to just open the flap and scoop out the dirt. There are just so many possibilities for these!

After being pleased with the first set of bins that I ordered for recycling, I ordered another set to use for storage in my garage (shoes, kids toys, etc.) They are large containers and hold lots of stuff. They are stackable with or without their lids.

These are very sturdy and very nice. with the different colors it is easy to remember what color holds what items. Very nice. I would recommend to anyone.

A little larger than what I thought they'd be, but they are perfect for the use I had planned for them! I put my recycleables in them, the lids shut firmly and I don't have to look at the stuff.
