[+] 8.0 Good
This came almost over night and quickly. The only porblem was there were no washers with it for the hose hook ups and the directions weren't very good. Product is very nice looking and durable.

[+] 4.0 Not worth $80
Suncast SSB200B is made from relatively lightweight plastic. For $80 I expected heavy built stuff. If it is not secured to the ground it will tip over when the hose is being pulled out and anything in the storage bin will topple out. My biggest complaint would be that the handle you use to reel up feels like it's ready to snap when you're reeling in a heavy hose. I only have about 100' of hose on it and I have to go pick up all the hose and carry it to the front of the box then I can reel it up.
My next complaint is as another reviewer mentioned, the arm the handle is connected to is too short making it take an extra long time to reel all the hose up. I can only imagine how tired my arm would get with a longer hose. I suspect this was part of the design to keep the flimsy plastic from breaking under the strain. With that said mine hasn't broken yet but only because I've been careful with it. The connections on it are still leak free and the storage box is a handy idea when the whole thing doesn't tip over. I wish I'd seen what I was buying beforehand, I would have spent more money for better quality and function. I don't recommend this product.

[+] 6.0 Should have shopped off line-
Paid way too much for a plastic box with a plastic reel inside. Over paid about $30.00 from Amazon and then really feel ripped off by how chintzy it looks. Waiting for housing gestapo to tell me it can't be in front.

[+] 6.0 Not So Sure
The jury is out on this one because my husband got completely frustrated trying to secure the base down with the stakes provided because the holes are so close to the unit you cannot use a hammer to drive them into the ground without scarring up the sides or even being able to hit the darn thing. If your ground is sand maybe it's not a big deal, but with hard ground it's a killer. I've yet to use it because without the stablizer stakes it will move around. Bummer. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

[+] 2.0 Breaks easily weak
It seemed like the answer to long hose winding but has weak hose reels that break easily. Supposed to hold 225 feet of hose. I had 100 ft of hose and it broke the reel in 3 months. Their service people say to always pull out all the hose, drain hose when done and rewind when hose is empty. This is not stated in instructions. And how inconveinent to do that every time with all that hose. Its just a excuse for a poorly designed, weakly made unit. The inner working aren't half as good as the outside is made. Oh well. will have to look further for a higher quality better made unit that lasts and is conveinent to use. The garden shop told me they are discontinued and wont have any more. Suncast said they didnt think they were discontinued. So it seems the retail stores dont want to deal with the problems associated with these units and dont want to bother with them any longer. If they were any kind of company they would recall them and replace them with some that last. So if your time is worthless and you like to repair or try to exchange units, this is the one for you.

[+] 2.0 Don't waste your money
I just bought this hose reel based on the reviews to replaced a smaller Suncast hideaway that lasted about 3 years. This one leeks the same place that the older one did before it broke completely. Save your money and don't by the Suncast Brand Hose reels. I am waiting for a response to my e-mail from Suncast

[+] 8.0 Works
Best part is that it is east to wind back up. I have three of these - have tried others inlcuding the water powered reel. None really compare for durability and ease of use.

[+] 8.0 Hose Reel works as advertised
The reel was delivered on time and it is almost completely assembled.
It would be nice if the hose connection on the reel was metal instead of plastic, but we'll see how that holds up.
After about 3 weeks all seems OK.
I am a little concerned about wear-and-tear on the hose guide part.
My yard is still as much dirt as it is grass, so there will be some abrasion as the hose is reeled back in. No problems at the moment.
The swivel does not work as well as I had hoped. I have to manually 'point' the box in the right direction and it only swings about 45 degrees to each side. I had hoped it would move 'automatically', as the hose was pulled out, but it does not. Not a biggie.

The hose reels in smoothly. I have about 120' of hose on it. I do have to either swivel the box or pull the hose around to keep it perpendicular to the hose reel. If the hose is being pulled from the side of the reel, it seems to put a noticeable strain on the plastic hose guide. I was a little scared it would break the guide, so I stretch the hose out perpenticular to the reel before I start cranking.
It would be nice if the crank assembly was a little higher. It gets to be a bit of a pain in the back as you crank for a while.
I know Suncast has a hose reel with an elevated crank, but I was concerned the extra length of the crank handle would be a potential breaking point. So I stays with the shorter assembly.

I was thinking of ordering a second unit, but the price has gone up almost $10, so I'll wait for a sale.

[+] 10.0 Got to have
If you have lots of bulky hose then this is a must have. Works great right out of the box. Lots of hose storage and the swivel base makes it all worth while, no more turning over hose box when trying to get just a little ways around corner of house.

[+] 8.0 Suncast swivel hose reel
This product is very good except for things. The hose to the faucet does not tighten up and stay tightened. In addition, the crank needs to be longer so that it takes too long or too many cranks to reel up hose.

[+] 10.0 Easiest to roll up!
I have MS and have weak arms, but still love to do my gardening. I've had such a hard time rolling up the hose, that many times it has stayed out ... all 100 ft of it! But this is the best purchase I've made all year! It rolls up with hardly any effort at all and since it has the smart trak, I don't even have to guide it. My husband was even impressed at how easy it was. Wonderful, wonderful product! Wish I had found it years ago!

[+] 10.0 Love My Smart Traker
I now actually own three Suncast Smart Traker hose reels. The first one was purchased a couple years ago at Costco. I have been so pleased with the ease of the way it reels and the convenience of the storage bin that when I needed another one for a different location I immediately started looking for another Smart Traker. I was unable to find one locally and was delighted to find one on Amazon. I ordered one and after it arrived I realized I could actually use a third one and ordered another one. I enjoy the ease in the way it reels, the fact that it is securely mounted in the ground and swivels. The storage bin is large enough to store brushes and cleaning items as well as my liquid fertilizer. I have had no problems with leakage around the connections. It is very neat looking as everything is concealed from sight. I highly recommend this product. I am nearly 70 and do all my own yard work and this product has made it much easier for me to maintain my bird baths and yard.
