Targus Sport Portable Case Designed to Protect 9 Inch DVD Players DVD301 (Black with Grey)

We use this case to protect the sony dvd player we have. Sony DVP-FX930 9-Inch Portable DVD Player, Black. It has enough space to store all the other accesories, and a few dvd's.

We haven't use it in the car yet, so we don't know about that since we haven't test it. I read a few reviews here that hase some issues with it in car....

The case does help for our 5 year old, to feel less tempted to constantly touch it.

This is a great case for your portable DVD player. It has plenty of storage space for other items you may need to carry. I take all my golf videos to the Driving Range with me and other instructional items. The strap that holds the player in the case is very useful.

All though the object does not work as the person it was bought for entirely, it does how ever function as a whole. The person who it was bought for was upset that the object did not come with a place to store a power plug or a number of other things but as a whole I would have to say that the sports case has functioned above expectations besides that.

I think somewhere along the way, either Amazon had this case' product number listed under something else or some reviews got merged that shouldn't have. This case doesn't attach to a seat so that it can be used to hold the DVD player while watching a movie. It's strictly a carrying case, which the product specifications reflect.

That said, this is a great case. There are 5 different compartments, with the center compartment that holds the player being the largest and most padded with two wide, Velcro-closing straps to hold the player securely in place. I have a 9" Axion portable DVD player and the inside section is easily large enough; if the other pockets didn't have ample storage space, there's enough left in there to tuck in some cables and folding headphones.

This has more than enough features to make it worth the modest cost. I've got mine packed with all of the accessories and cables that go with the player and there's room for quite a bit more. Best of all, it's well-constructed and sturdy while still being fairly stylish.

I hadn't seen a movie in..drum roll please..six years. ANY movie.
As I bought myself a portable DVD player for Christmas for business use and for travel, I needed the travel case (and headphones, too!)

I had a plane trip coming up and wanted to take this as my carry-on.

May I digress a moment? Good grief! Whatever happened to standards? I cannot believe the things I saw people bringing onto the airplanes! What in the world is the matter with people?! And why did the airlines allow it!? Ridiculous!
Strollers, golf-bag sized duffel bags, whole sets of luggage, HUGE pieces of luggage! Why bother having those signs and cubes that say 'if your bag won't fit in this space' you will have to check your bag if they don't abide by it??!

Anyway, I don't want the hassle of carrying things so I carry a purse and this time my DVD bag and I just loved it. I watched movies on my drop down tray and never even took the DVD player out of the case.

It gets 4 stars only because the headphones barely fit and because I prefer having two zippers on the track inside of just one. Know what I mean? Being able to zip one side, then the other side on the same track and have the zippers meet in the middle. I think it would have made manuevering much easier. And if the bag was expandable or larger to accomodate the headphones and accessories better it would be PER-FECT!

It is just a case. It's hard to figure that out since the reviews on here are all mixed up. I ordered based on the reviews I read only to find out it would only carry it, not attach to the seat for viewers in the back.

Great item to hold your DVD player. Does all that we need to contain player and accessories.

Bought the product just before the family went away on vacation. The Targus case fits the portable dvd player perfectly. There is plenty of room for storing the chargers, extra wire connecters, earphones & plenty of dvds. Really like the product.

After dealing with some long car rides and a cranky 2 year old, we invested in a 9" portable DVD player for our daughter. We needed a travel system that would be easily installed and removable to move from one car to the other and would also fit the DVD player. This worked perfectly. We are able to install it between the two front seats within minutes and the DVD player has never moved once strapped in. The case is durable and functional holding both travel and home power cords as well as several DVDs.

We have this case and have found it very useful for travel. Works well in the minivan when set between the two front seats. To eliminate sound issues, we use a splitter and a long extension cord so headphones can be used but I digress.....

The storage space for DVDs is great. Lots of room to place the other items like car charger, remote, power cord, rca cables, etc. Easy to carry and simple to open up at the airport security. For those having problems, they are not taking the time to set it up properly. It is not rocket science.

For the price, I would buy another for my family and friends when they get a portable DVD player.

If you're just looking for a case to store your DVD player, it's probably fine. It's light weight and cushioned nicely, so it will protect your player. It also holds 10 DVDs and has room for all the accessories (car adapter, remote control, etc.) The problem is we bought it hoping to have something that would hold the DVD player so the player wouldn't have to rest on our son's lap all through a very long roadtrip. We have a Ford Explorer, which is a fairly common family car to have, and there is simply no good way to attach the case to the back of the front seats so our son could watch his movies. We ended up having to prop up the DVD player inside the case with one thing, stuff something else under the case so it wouldn't be dangling from the seat, and my son was still craning his neck to try to see the movie. Luckily we bought the Sony DVD player with a swivel screen to better accommodate everything we had to do. At one point the DVD player even fell out of the case (luckily didn't get damaged). Spend a few extra dollars if you can, and try to find a case that will better allow you to prop the player up in the car, if you need your case to do that.

The perfect case for the DVD player I bought. Hopefully my granddaughter will keep her new player protected in it.

I read other folk's great reviews about this bag and it was all true! While being lightweight and compact, it is sturdy and has lots of room for many DVDs, my earphones and plugs, and it still cushions my DVD player. It has a great over-the-shoulder strap, which is padded and soft. I don't think I could find a more perfect bag to travel with me on my many plane trips. And it is so reasonably priced!

This is a great case for the money. It's very well made, nicely padded and very much worth the money. I have bought 3 of these for 3 different portable dvd players.

I bought this case for my 5-year-old nephew after I purchased a Sony DVD player for him for Christmas last year. He likes to take the DVD player with him pretty much wherever he goes, so the case is indispensable. My sister reports that the DVD player (Sony DVP-FX820 8-Inch) fits well, and there are no problems with the case.

we use on a 9" portable and it works fine. plenty of compartments for storing stuff. The only thing I wish it had was a strap to hang from the headrest. I rigged one up easy enough but they could have done it easier and more permanent.

This case fits perfectly and offers a level of portability and protection for my DVD player--go get one!

This is a sturdy, multi-pocketed bag that holds just about anything you need for your portable DVD player, even up to 10 DVD's. The quality is excellent, especially for the price. There is plenty of room for up to a 10" player. It also has a strap that velcros over your player so that it doesn't shift around in the bag, especially useful for my smaller 8" player. It comes with a detachable strap if you want to carry it over the shoulder, but it also has a handle if you want to just carry it by hand like a briefcase.

This case works very nicely for the Acer Aspire One netbook computer. The computer fits really well and there is space for accessories.

I am deducting one star because the side pocket does not hold accessories/cords/adapters as well as it could. I imagine this would be a problem for DVD players as well. It's not a huge problem but still could be better.

This item is compatible with the panasonic 8.5 screen DVD player. Perfect fit and the item is very nice, not cheap looking and nicely padded. Definitely worth the extra price. Other cases available that were cheaper, but from the pictures, they looked it.

This case really is a good buy. It carrys alot of movies. It is well worth the money. I would recomend this product highly.

This is a nice quality bag that holds many DVDs, however I was disappointed that this could not be used for mounting. This bag is strictly storage.

We got this case to hold our son's DVD player that we use for airplane trips. We have used it on two trips so far and are very satisfied. It is very well-cushioned so I think it affords a lot of protection. It is big enough to hold all the extra cords and DVDs. When he watches we just leave it in there and adjust the strap so it is tight about the bottom half and it works great.

It is fine, sturdy, worth the price. It fits my player which is larger than normal...

I bought this bag for my EeePC 1000H 10" laptop. Although the laptop has much more room than it needs on all sides, there are velcro straps to keep it in place. There is easily enough space in the same main compartment for 8.5 x 11 business papers. I bought this case size in hope that about an inch thick of standard paper size could fit, and it does. The DVD storage area and its pockets provide an organized area for pens, business cards, papers and other items. Front flap pocket has side zippers for side access that I haven't had a need for yet but it could make it easier for access in tight spots. This section is more than enough room for my AC charger and flash sticks, cell charger, etc. Allows plenty of room for my feet when stowed under an airline seat. Good quality workmanship with little bling. Would have been nice to have a detachable shoulder strap, but not much of an issue.

This case is recommended by Amazon with the Toshiba SD-P101S 10-Inch Portable DVD Player. The DVD player DOES NOT fit into the case with the battery connected to the player. The case itself is nice, I wish they had a similar case but larger.

Perfect for carrying the Sony DVP-FX820 portable DVD player as well as other electronics, cables, headphones, etc.
The compartment for DVDs only opens up part way so it is a bit of a pain inserting and removing the DVDs (you have to take them out of their cases) but it securely holds a lot of disks. You might want to make a list of where you put the DVDs so you can find them on a dark train...

This bag is very roomie except for getting DVDs in and out. Outwise this bag can't be beat.

I have a panasonic 8.5 inch screen, and it fits great into this case. Very sturdy case, with lots of room in it too!! And not big and bulky. I love it!

I purchased this bag for a 10.2" DVD player and it fit in there fine with room to spare. It also has room for all the cords. I had purchased two other bags that fit DVD players up to 10" and had to return them because my DVD player didn't fit. This bag is great!

I bought this bag to hold my Asus eee pc 8gb laptop. It has a 7-inch screen. This is the perfect sized bag for it, and there's enough room for a little mouse and my flash drive case in the second pocket. There's plenty of padding. I have dropped it once (about 2 feet onto a wood floor), and my eee pc is just fine. Very good product. Well worth it.

I purchased the Targus DVD001 13 Portable DVD Player Case from Amazon for my 8" Sony DVD player. It is good quality, nicely padded and fits not only the player, but also my large headphones which do fold and all the accessories. The depth of the case was very important to me because I wanted the headphones to fit and this one is perfect.

My only complaint is that even though it holds a lot of DVDs if you take them out of their cases, it only holds 4 if you leave them in their cases. I don't know if this is silly on my part- I am afraid to take them out of their cases, afraid they will get damaged, and I don't want to test it- so I would have liked the DVD compartment to be a bit wider to accommodate the dvd cases. This is my only issue with the case. But I love it and would recommend it to everyone. Oh, it also has a strap that staps across the DVD player to keep it snug and also a padded divider attached by velcro to separate the dvd player from the accessories you pack with it. Great Bag!

I had purchased this 3 years ago for my 9 inch DVD Player, which I really don't use as much anymore and was looking for a cheaper alternative to carrying my kindle to work every day and started looking at Dvd cases when I realized I already had one! If you're looking for a PERFECT fit for your kindle plus your adapter and even A Mighty Bright Light--THIS IS IT! Its lightweight, great to carry your kindle on bus or metro! And much cheaper than some of the Kindle bags. (we also have a couple Case Logic cases too...so many cheaper alternatives to toting your Kindles!)

Perfect bag for my portable DVD player. There is even room for my headphones, DVD's, and remote, plus little accessories. Targus makes a great product.

The case is very nice, but it is not a perfect fit for the EEE PC. I had purchased it as a case for the EEE after seeing it referenced in a list of accessories for the EEE. The case is about an inch too wide and an inch too long for the computer to have a snug fit.

I bought this for my Asus Eee notebook and it works great! Basically, it is just like a tiny notebook bag! It is a good fit, with lots of space for power cable, external 2.5" hard drive and other gadgets. The bag is well-made and protects my Eee against life's little knocks.

This is the bag for your portable DVD player! I've tried so many bags prior, only to send them back because of there capacity, they hold no accessories. I have a 10.5" Toshiba which is large and this bag holds everything perfectly. Well made and good looking with very good padding and not to large. I would recommend this bag for all who like to carry there accessories along, so if you have a 9" to 13" unit this is a great bag! A really great bag at a great price!!

This case is perfect for a portable dvd player. It has ample storage for all of your accessories and extra discs.

I only have a 7" player, but it easily fits securely in the case, along with all the accessories. In addition, there's a front pocket with plenty of storage space, and another pocket that holds plenty of DVDs. Easy to carry as well. For the price, it's a great buy.

I am enrolled in a distance learning program where the lectures are on DVD, and purchased the Panasonic 8.5 inch DVD player to "carry my classroom with me". I purchased this case for the DVD player and it is wonderful. The DVD player has a very bulky external battery, I needed it for the long life, and this bag holds the player with the battery attached perfectly. There a padded insert that creates additional storage for the adapters and headhphones next to the case. The shoulder strap is VERY comfortable, others should learn from this one. The front pockets, one for DVD storage, the other for...I use it to carry my Bible for reference when "attending class"....it will hold a small book or other accessories very well. The DVD storage pocket will hold 15 or more DVD's easily.

Overall, excellent value for the price paid.

DVD001, i think fits upto 11 inch portable dvd players . I can safely say definitely up to 10 inch ones.

I use it for my LS2 Panasonic player. i have additonal space on the side for wires and adapter.

I place my player vertically in the bag not horizantally, that makes better utilization of space and it fits perfectly .

I do not think you can fit any player bigger than 8.5 vertically as mine fits perfectly and nicely.

over all a nice bag. it has place to hold 12 to 14 CD/DVD disks with a slight soft cushion to protect your DVDs.

I had 3-4 bags from amazon that were in the running but I went with this one and it did NOT disappoint. I have an 8" portable dvd player and it fits it perfectly and securely. Plenty of room for the 2-part adapter cords to fit in right next to the player; good amount of dvd slots that can be doubled/tripled up if you don't mind ur dvds touching; versatile carrying style with both handle and shoulder strap; front velcro pocket for misc when you need to just slip something flat in the bag in an instance; surprisingly light weight to carry which I LOVE the most.... makes it so easy to tote ur portable around. Our DVD is a bit chunky and didn't fit in some other cases we tried. It fits very well in this case. This one doesn't have a system for hanging the case between two seats in the car. That is it's most significant drawback. Another minor issue is the power supply and cables barely fit in the pockets but this would probably be an issue for any case. The front pocket of the case has sleeves for up to 10 DVDs which is a nice feature.

Great bag to store dvd player and accessories; a nice feature is that it has compartments for wires dvds and cds; it is also a nice looking case.

This review is for the Targus DVD001 case (inside, according to Targus, is 12" x 2.5" x 9.5"). I bought this over a year ago to use with a small 12.1 inch laptop (11.75 by 1.5 by 8.5). The laptop fit is snug with room for 1 or 2 rows (2 each) of standard DVD cases on top. So as long as you are looking at the DVD001, then you can be sure it will hold players of like size. However accommodating accessories like power supplies, might still be an issue. The side pocket will, at a stretch, accommodate the power supply, as long as you don't mind the bulge and don't intend to use the DVD slots. If you find that an issue you might want to aim for 14" laptop cases instead.

Targus has discontinued the DVD001, so get it while you can. Targus doesn't make anything in the 13' size anymore.
