The Mighty Ducks Boxed Set (All 3 Films)

I wanted all three Mighty Ducks for my daughter for her birthday. I got the movies before her birthday. Marvelous. Thanks!

Arrived very quickly. The Box Set was perfectly sealed. The disks inside were not damaged in anyway. I was very happy with my order

When I order this pack of movies I was really happy to finally had find those movies I am a mom of four wonderful kids and a lot of people including my husband doesn't understand why I like THE MIGHTY DUCKS movies so I decided it was time to order those movies so I did amazon.com got my order but the first shipping they send to me never got to my address or I don't know what happen so I call them and told them that I had not receive my movies so they told me they were going to send another ones and they did I was so happy to realize they are very professionals to handle that kind of problems and if they ask me if I would order again from amazon.com my answer is yes.

The films are good but the DVD's are junky. The sound is decent but the video is something between dvd and vhs quality. Your gonna have to play around with the display settings on your dvd player on the first film to get it to view in widescreen with no bars. Overall decent purchase.

I own all three movies and it is fun to see how the characters change after a few years in between in of the movies.

I love The Mighty Ducks movies, and was so excited to buy the boxed set. I watched the first two movies and went to watch the third. Everything was completely normal until the menu came up, and the movie on the disk turned out not to be the third Mighty Ducks, but another movie, "Monkeys Go Home." I don't know what type of error this was, and I hope that it has not happened very frequently, because, frankly, I was quite ticked. I hope this problem hasn't happened to any of you...who wants to see "Monkeys Go Home" when you attempt to watch "The Mighty Ducks?"

this is a good movie to have if you like the old school kid movies, the movies that we all grew up with and the kids nowadays should be watching.

I bought the Mighty Ducks Box Set for my boyfriend as a gift and we both absolutely love it! These movies are classics! Definitely a great buy! =)

I was originally gonna order just D2 but my mom ordered all 3 in 1 boxset. I will individually review each film in chronological order.

D1
2nd one I watched after I saw D2. I learned that my favorite character is Charlie Conway (Jersey #96). He was a born captain. The team is very terible at the sport of hockey and don't even have correct equipment. So if Gordan Bombay (Emilio Estevez) names the team after his boss, Gerald Ducksworth, he will give the team $10,000 for equipment. The name Ducks comes in at that point. Ducksworth cancels Gordon's community service to coach the team but quits his old job as a lawyer to keep coaching the Ducks. Tied with D3 for favorite.

D2
Favorite film. Takes place a couple years after D1. Gordon comes back from minor leauge but ends when his knee is injured. A man offers Gordon to become coach for Team U.S.A in the Junior Goodwill Games. We loose a few characters, but we are introduced to new characters. Luis Mendoza, incredible skater but can't stop. Dwane Robertson, pro stick-handler. Ken Wu, sly on skates. Dean Portman, heavy hitter. Russ Tyler, knuckepuck. Fulton and Portman form a little group called the Bash Brothers (Ken joins at the final game). The new symbol of the Ducks is unvield. This symbol is used in D3, and the cartoon series.

D3
Final film made before sold to the NHL. The film takes place in the team's late teen years. Gordon promotes Charlie to team captain while he goes to work for the hockey division of the Goodwill Games. The team goes to a dorm school called Eden Hall. Thier "new" coach Pat Orion, strips Charlie of his position of captain. The team is recalled the Warriors. If any of you true NHL fans know, the logo for the Warriors is the symbol for the Chicago Blackhawks. Charlie meets a girl called Linda who has never seen a hockey game. Charlie blows the first game for his team with a tie when he tries to score from the blue line. For the first time, he is thrown into the box for unsportsmanlike conduct (he crashed his stick into the goal net). Bad news being Hans (in D2 called "Jan") passes away. Bombay lays a green jersey from the first film on his casket telling the team "Every time you touch the ice, remember it was Hans who taught us to fly". After a bit of trouble. The Ducks take on the varsity Warriors in a grudge match. Adam Banks was moved to Varsity. After a nogociation Adam is moved back to the Ducks for the JV Varsity Showdown. The team is recalled the Ducks. The first 2 periods go out pointless. In the final period with only 10 seconds, Goldberg (who lost goalie) shoots earning the win for the Ducks. The team is now called Eden Hall Mighty Ducks.

There are no more Ducks movies in production and this is all you can get movie-wise. On Ducksshirts.com, you can get T-shirts of the 1st green Jersey of one of the characters. So that's it. I recomend it for any Ducks fan.

Enjoyed viewing these movies on Cinemax, HBO, etc, but now can enjoy them more since having the complete set. Seeing that a fourth movie is coming out on this makes it all the better.

I remember watching these movies over and over as a kid. Great movie. Bought this as a secret santa movie for a co-worker who just got into hocky.

Purchased for my kids and they love the Mighty Ducks... They had never seen it before and I suggested they watch them... After the first movie they couldn't wait to watch #2 and #3 in the series. The storyline is good and the content honest and valuable in learning life's little lessons.

This isn't so much a product review, but I'm just letting people know that I recently got my copy of the boxed set and it appears they fixed the D3 problem where it used to have the wrong movie burned onto the DVD.

I was a little scared there after reading some of the other reviews, but my boxed set is just fine and dandy.

I would recommend this dvd set to my friends and family because it's great value.

This a great rainy day family fun, must have dvd set. Emilio Estevez, it his finest. A wonderful set of dvds that you can't just, watch once. I highly, recommend this for any family viewing.
For young hockey fans, it teaches, about the game of hockey & team sportmenship.

This was a fun, silly video that my grandson and his dad thoroughly enjoyed. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition.

Oh my god i use to be in love with these movies im so glad they're on dvd but i hope in the future all the movies are released in special edition dvds

The first two movies were great I loved the Mighty Duck movies but the third move was some old 50's movie when I played it I had to get another one and I had the same problem. I sent the movies back but have yet to get my money back.

I have seen and loved all three of these movies, so I didn't scroll down to read the reviews. I should have. First movie was great, second movie was great, the 3rd movie was packaged D3, the disc was labeled D3, but the movie was.....Monkeys Go Home. Sent it back for a replacement and the 3rd movie was again "Monkeys Go Home". So Monkeys go back.

series. Monkeys Go Home ruined this for me too. I gave it as a gift and was
amazed to receive a call telling me that Monkeys Go Home was in the Mighty
Ducks 3 movie case. Well, must be an accident, right?!? I sent the first set back and just received the replacement complete with the Monkeys Go Home movie in the third case!!!!

Save your money folks....this is not the place to buy a boxed set of Mighty
Duck movies!!

I don't know what Disney's problem is, "Monkeys, Go Home" isn't part of the series, everyone should know that; so why did I get that movie in this set instead of D3? Are they idiots?? Or are they just trying to peddle their old crappy movies disguised as their good ones? and; IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO BURN THE RIGHT MOVIE ON THE DVD?! It's a 5 Star set, but I rate it at 1 star because they were idiotic enough to burn the WRONG MOVIE ON MY DISC 3! WAKE UP DISNEY, AND THANKS FOR RUINING MY WEEKEND!

I purchased this DVD boxset in November and just now got around to watching them. I have been a long time fan of The Mighty Ducks movies and used to watch them all the time on TV and on VHS. I was happy they were on DVD for me to purchase. They came at a great price too...I believe I paid $20.99. That is awesome considering each movie retails at $10 to $14 each. As for the films themselves, all 3 are presented in their original aspect radio, 1.85:1 widescreen. I only gave this collection 3 stars as I am not a huge fan of D3: The Mighty Ducks. In my opinion, it's a sequel that never should've been made. It lacks the same magical formula that made the first 2 films so great. The movie feels rushed and it seems to push Joshua Jackson too much into the spotlight. He was never the lead star, Emilio Estevez was always the true star in my eyes. I recommend this boxset if you're a fan of the movies.

my boys had a movie marathon with the box set of mighty ducks. What fun these movies were. IF you can watch them over and over; you have a successful movie.

A great set of films for the price and delivered to Australia in the time fame Amazon stated. The films have a strong message of not giving up on your dreams or on your mates. My son is 19 now and these are his favourites so it was a great christmas present.

Three great family movies. Bad boys come good (with the help of a girl) Great Ice Hockey action, you'll love it even if you don't really know the sport. You'll cheer the goodies and boo the baddies. All three movies are great Sunday afternoon TV.

I remember watching the Mighty Ducks movies on VHS as a kid; they're sort of campy classics. D2 was my favorite! The storyline inspires me every time, and I give them a lot of credit for eventually having 2 female hockey players in the series, in a time when girls playing ice hockey was still considered quite unusual. I'm not particularly a sports fan but I loved these movies, in part because the sports emphasis was tempered with a great back story. I'm glad that all three of them are available on DVD in this collection for much less than you'd pay to buy them individually.

All these movies are great. My family and I have already watched each one twice. Very enjoyable family movies to watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charlie Conway, was Mr. Hockey in Minnesota for high school hockey, the only person to win the award three straight years. Right out of high school Charlie was drafted, in the fourth round by the Montreal Canadians. Charlie went to play hockey for the Minnesota Gophers. He won the Hobey Baker award for best college player. After college his eyes were set on the NHL, but he also set his nose on cocaine. Charlie spent all of his money on the junk. it wasn't until the "bash brothers" came in and set Charlie straight. Now Charlie is speaking to high school students about the danger of drugs. Charlie Conway, a class-act. A Minnesota Hero. What demons he must be facing.

This was a gift for my son who has enjoyed watching the three movies over and over again. A worthwile buy for a child but do not buy if you think you are going to be watching a realitic hockey movie because that it is not.

Great films for whole family and for all fans of Anaheim Ducks hockey team. :)
But, in my opinion, first film of the trilogy is more attractive than others.

I remember seeing these movies as a kid, and now, almost 24 years old, I still enjoy watching them. And to find them in a set of three DVDs, for such a good price, is like icing on the cake. It's almost nostalgic to see these movies again, and it's great to be able to have the convenience of DVD. This set deserves no less than 5 stars. Should I ever (God forbid) have children, I'll definately be proud to have them see these movies, as I saw when I was a kid.

Received package quickly. My son was overjoyed to have all three movies. We had looked for two of the movies at local retailers we were unable to find all three therefore prompting me to look to Amazon which as also came through with flying colors.

These films are great for good, clean family fun, something that is lacking these days.Both my children have watched them many times, now my eldest is leaving home and taking his films with him, I have had to buy a set for my daughter.

Buena Vista (the company that releases Disney films on DVD) chose to not release anamorphic DVDs when they first came to DVD, so none of these films are anamorphically enhanced. This means, if you have a widescreen television, you will have black bars on all four sides of the picture. Also, these discs are absolutely barebones, only featuring a Dolby 2.0 soundtrack and a 1.85:1 widescreen presentation. Where are the extras?! I don't know about you guys, but I am a Mighty Duck fan who is disappointed by the DVD releases of these films.

These films are great for the whole family.

My family enjoyed them not only because we love hockey, but because the comedy is very good. You get a little of everything for everyone. There is a love interest for the females, comedy to keep it going; life lessons...you have to work hard and persistance and dedication to a goal are the key ingredients for success...win at all costs is not winning at all. And the hockey action is pretty darn good.

The kids will love to play these DVDs over and over again. Overall, for the price, this is a pretty darn good way to spend a buck for your entertainment value.
