[+] 2.0 Item substituted; not what I ordered!
I ordered the Transcend TS8GSDHC6-S5W, the seller's description, model#, and picture is of the TS8GSDHC6-S5W. When my order arrived I received a Transcend TS-RPD5W and a TS8GSDHC10, not what I ordered! Thanks for the upgraded card, but the main purpose was for slim TS-RDS5W card reader. Thememstore should notify the user before substituting an item; not worth returning due to the cost of shipping! :-(

[+] 10.0 Fast Write Speeds
Purchased this to primarily use in my Canon XSi. Have also used it in my Panasonic TZ-5. Found write speeds to be very fast, which translates into shorter lag time between shots. I have found the card reader to be very useful. I prefer not to plug my camera into the computer, so I use the reader with all my flash cards. Fast transfer speeds during upload.

[+] 2.0 Works great, until it dies
Ii purchased two of these SD card / USB reader combos. Each of the SD cards failed - one very quickly (within 1 month, I believe), and the other after approximately 6 months. For as much as these cost, I had expected them to last MUCH longer.

In short, I strongly recommend you purchase another SD card.

[+] 10.0 Great product
Bought two and they are great. Fast transfer speed and no glitches. Have been using almost daily for two months with no problems at all. You can not beat this product for the price!

[+] 10.0 WORKS GREAT!
I bought this Class 6 memory card for my new Panasonic Lumix ZS3 camera and it works great! It is very fast to write and I've had no problems whatsoever. I'd purchase the same one again.

The Transcend card reader works perfectly, too and will read very quickly. No problems with either!

[+] 2.0 Not worth the money
I bought the chip, and was at first I was pleased with the performance. Not long after starting to use it (a couple months), my computer would not recognize the 8 Gig chip as anything but 4 Gigs. I would have been better off purchasing a Kingston or ScanDisk product due to this cards low reliability.

[+] 4.0 Died after 5 months of use
This card worked great for me with my Canon T1i for about 5 months, before it completely died. The failure came at a very unfortunate time and I lost a week's worth of Christmas / New Years vacation pictures and videos. I lost my son's very first Christmas video (like 20 minutes long).

First I noticed that my camera could not read a few of the photos. I had seen that before so I brushed if off and kept taking pictures. Big mistake, next time I powered my camera on, it would not recognize the flash card at all. I have tried everything to salvage any photos or videos, but this card is dead beyond recognition. I cannot even format the card using my camera or Windows.

We are very sad this happened. These pictures and videos were priceless to us. In hindsight I would have easily paid double to price for something reliable. Which is why I am replacing this card with Sandisk. I am never going for the best deal on flash memory again.

If you own this card please do not put all your eggs in one basket as I did, or you may suddenly find all your precious memories gone. Keep a spare SD card with you, and download your photos often.

[+] 8.0 Exactly what I wanted
The card and reader are great! The card is so big it holds way too many pictures. I've had it for almost a year and have recently started having small problems: some pictures dissapearing, and sometimes my computer can't read the card. I just went through all my pictures and videos on it (over 1000) and saved them to my computer fearing it will quit working completely. I love the card, and the reader is the best part. I haven't had to dig out my camera cord once to transfer pictures. It plugs right into my computer & printer. I even enjoy the fact that I can save documents on it for school or whatever else and print when needed. Overall, good price ($35.92), and a great product. I just hope it doesn't quit working all together. I purchased this to go with my Canon Power Shot SD790 IS. Perfect!

[+] 2.0 Ordered this Class 6 card, received class 2 card
I bought this product from Amazon.com through HasselFreeCell and received the cheaper class 2 card instead of the class 6 that was supposed to be delivered. HasselFreeCell took almost three weeks to ship it to me.

If you already purchased, check your product to see if you received the correct class. There should be a "6" next to the SDHC logo, not a "2". The product works fine, but class 2 is much slower than the class 6 that I paid for and expected.

[+] 10.0 Great value!
The SDHC card works great and the SD Card reader works fast and efficient in my Macbook! I recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to spend too much money for just a SD card. With this deal you get an SDHC card AND an SD card reader for people who don't have a reader built into their computers!

[+] 4.0 It was good while it lasted ...
In the beginning, I was very excited about this card. The price was very reasonable, and it performed fast and good - for about 6 weeks. Then I noticed that the first pictures suddenly had completely disappeared. Next thing I noticed was that another picture was scrambled on the card, when I inserted it in my computer, but the picture could still be seen normal on my camera. Then, more and more strangely named files (no extension, just one character) showed up in the first picture folder of the card, and I could neither rename, nor delete or even open them.

I checked the card for viruses and malware, but it was found to be free of anything. I continued to use it, but it was not possible to format the card. After 3 months of normal use, and about 3 quarters full, the card completely died. I got error messages in my cameras, and in neither one of my computers the card was recognized anymore.

Since the card has a "lifetime warranty", I contacted Transcend customer service. They were very responsive and polite, and provided me with a link to their website, where I could fill out a claim to have the card repaired. I had to send the card in (on my expense), and 2 weeks later I received a brand new card in the mail.

Needless to say that all my data is gone - fortunately I had almost everything backed up prior to the card dying. However, I would not recommend this product. After many years of extensive digital photography, this was my very first malfunctioning card. The only reason I give it 2 stars instead of one is the card reader, which seems to work fine, and the company's reliable customer service.

[+] 10.0 Bewhare , the hidden costs of postage and packaging

Great product at a great price, however!
The cost of postage and packaging (to Australia) for this very small item was excessive - US$60 (A$65).
The quoted cost to send it back was less than A$10. (with a better delivery time)

Complaints to the firm concerned yielded no adjustment.

I would suggest any prospective customers get a firm quote on postage. It more than doubled the price.

[+] 10.0 GREAT QUALITY and SIZE
16 GB card for a 12.1 point and shoot camera gave me over 5000 pictures to take. What more can you ask for. The Transcend USB adapter is a good tool (asks as a thumb drive). GREAT PURCHASE!

[+] 10.0 Transcend 8 GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card with USB 2.0 Card Reader
This not only just worked but overcame a problem that I have with my existing card readers. They wont read any card above 2GB capacity. The USB card reader overcame that problem and reads at USB 2.0 speeds (another problem overcome as one of my card readers, on my multi-function printer, works at USB 1.0 speeds.) The SD card is in use in a Canon PowerShot SX120IS digital camera.

[+] 10.0 Highly Recommended
I do a lot of work on my computer with photos. I'm not a fan of the new IPhoto nor am I a fan of most camera software. This SD card with the card reader is amazingly easy to use. It saves me a lot of time when I transfer my photos to my laptop (drag and drop). I can also place these photos in other software easier and faster because I don't have to download them to the camera software and then export them to my desktop so then I can upload them to another piece of software (whew, that even took a long time to write). I highly recommend this SD card with card reader for the speed, ease and price.

[+] 10.0 works fine, price good
I use this in my camera -- includes high def video so needed a fast card. Have used for months, no problems, HD video works fine. Older card readers will not read the new high capacity cards, so the included reader is good to have, and very small.

[+] 10.0 Just fine, good value.
I have no complaints about this purchase, except that with the cheapest shipping option, it did take a while to show up in my mailbox.

It's very convenient to have the USB adapter--I can easily transfer photos to my computer or plug it into a digital frame and have an instant slideshow.

Good price, good fast card, good USB reader.

[+] 2.0 Unreliable
The card has problems being read by the Leica DLux-4 camera right out of the box. There is either a message saying memory can't be read or memory card is full. After several tries eventually it can be read and used. However, because of this unreliability it cant be used for anything important (which means it is not worth putting in the camera!). Since the camera delivery was delayed the return period expired and I threw away the external packaging long time ago. So this was a waste of money.Transcend 16 GB SDHC Class 6 Flash Memory Card TS16GSDHC6E [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]

Just received this card last Thursday and used it on the weekend. First thing I noticed is that the camera wrote the files to the card faster than to its internal memory. So far, I love it.

[+] 2.0 Flash Card won't work!
We bought a 16GB & a 32GB for our HD Canon camera. The 32GB worked just fine. Unfortunately, we just tried to use the 16GB card and nothing stuck! The camera did some initial video and photos but when my husband played them back they just disappeared from the card! First the video was gone and then the photos. He tried initializing, no luck and then we tried to download the photos with our card reader, again nothing. The lesson here is be sure to check your cards soon after you receive them so that you can return them if they don't work. We're stuck with a faulty card that we can no longer return.

[+] 2.0 Paying for something you didn't order real shock.
I ordered my camera and memory card. Then a few days later I got an additional memory card that I had no idea would be coming. I was shocked and figured rather then get upset and waste my time trying to return it I'd just EAT it. Probably learned a lesson, huh? Not happy and out cash for something I don't want or need.

[+] 10.0 Makes life easy
This is just what I needed as I hate carrying around cords. I used this here in my hotel this morning in Hungary to transfer my photos up to my web storage account. A few other guests saw it and loved the converter for USB. They then used the converter to do the same! The quality of the images is in the camera obviously but it does store the images fairly quickly and is on the next photo in a reasonable time. I like the size of the storage and the relatively inexpensive cost. Overall a great deal!

[+] 10.0 No camera, or brains required
This little widget, to me, is more valuable than the bread slicing machine.
I recently purchased a new digital camera that uses the newer
SDHC memory card, and immediately found myself in a quagmire. Both of
my printers, that have memory card inputs, and Pictbridge capabilities,
would not recognize the SDHC card. Further, I had to on-line download
two major program files before the one printer would even read a Pict-
bridge connection. I'm old-fashioned enough to prefer the capability
to insert my memory card directly in the computer, with the option of
just loading the contents in to a file, that I specify, without having
some unwanted "Editor Program" maul it around. My compliments to Trans-
cend, or any other reader maker for providing me with that option!

I love this little handy device. The card reader is small, easily transportable, and very easy. The fact that it comes with an 8GB SDHC card that allows me to take multishots is an amazing bonus. [+] 8.0 Wish it would work with my camera
I'm sure this memory card is fine, but I found out that it won't work in my four-year-old Nikon DSLR -- the D50 model can't take cards larger than 2GB. So if your camera is older, check to see before buying. The card reader is fine. I'll just use this is my point-and-shoot (which I don't use very often) or wait until I upgrade my camera.

[+] 10.0 Good, cheap 16 GB SDHC Class 6 card with USB card reader
This is a good, cheap 16 GB SDHC Class 6 card with USB card reader. I can use it in my digital SLR to take movies at 24 fps, 720p and it doesn't fail or slow due to lack of speed. The USB card reader is a plus, enabling me to transfer pictures and videos to my computer without connecting my camera to the computer and using the camers's battery.

The seller sent it out right after payment and it only took two days to arrive

All-in-all, a great buying experience and a great product.
