Dont take the risk
We purchased this as a gift and it did not work, Amazon says they will refund 50-80%. Frustration free packaging means units that have already been opened and returned by others. First time Amazon has ripped me off but we have already started ordering everything elsewhere. Amazon made 20 or so bucks but will lose thousands a year in sales. If you purchase this card test it within 30 days as someone else is going to get my busted card just as someone else before me had this one. Never had a problem with SanDisk and will always pay the extra for the real thing. Bye Bye Transcend AND Amazon.

OK, but crapped out
Product was good, cheap price for the amount of storage. Crapped out after only about a year of use. These things happen with flash memory but will probably go with a better brand next time.

Flash Memory Card 4GB Class 6; inexpensive and it works.
So far the Transcend 4GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card works great for my ReadyBoost when I use Windows Vista Operating System.
When I used this card in my Canon A3100is PowerShot I noticed no difference in speed than when I used the class 4, 4GB Flash Memory Card. This Flash Memory Card has also worked fine when I took pictures. I just put it into the camera and it worked.
I then put it into my Zino HD (Dell 400)PC and the pictures showed up fine when using Xubuntu (Ubuntu) Operating System and or Microsoft OS. I removed the pictures and then used the Card for Windows Vista ReadyBoost. This card was inexpensive and works fine for me.
I found this Transcend 4GB Class 6 SDHC works better for ReadyBoost than a 4GB HP USB Flash Drive v125w with advertised data transfer rates similar to the Transcend card.
I took about 500 photos and 15 minutes of video, and used under 3 GB. It will take me a long time before I need to delete anything off of this card.
I bought the card with a camera, works just as it should would buy again.
This was the best card to have - I never had to worry about which photos to save - I saved them all 1,119 photos and I still had way more space. GREAT!

It's just a good, fast, and decently sized SD card.
There is not much to say. This card has been reliably storing and retrieving videos and pictures in my handy little hand-held camera for about 2 years now. It just works, and relatively fast. Just make sure your device is SDHC capable (it's the HC or High Capacity part you have to watch for). If your device or reader are not SDHC compatible, then you will be wasting your money. Otherwise, great card.

Excellent SDHC card
I bought this for use with a Kodak Z1485 Digital Camera gifted to someone else. I received it on time in new condition at a competitive price (47% off retail). It worked like a charm when I took pictures and video and have heard of no problems from the recipient.

Fast and affordable
I really liked this but I thought that was strange, so I unplugged the card from the reader and replugged it in. The same error occurred. I then figured I'd just put the card back into the camera and read the data off the camera. Guess what? I got an error message on the camera that said "Please insert SD card". I have an old olympus that I planned on sellinggiving to my sister. I put the card into it, and got an error saying some kind of error.. I came on amazon, hoping someone else had the same problem and a solution to it. I saw a few posts that said if you set the card to the "lock" position, the card suddenly becomes readable and you can retrieve your data off it. Others have said that they used data recovery software that was able to detect the card and get some/all their lost data back. I tried that with TWO data recovery softwares, and not either of them was even able to detect the card when in the card reader. All in all, I lost out on a couple of hundered bucks because this card lost all my data on it's first time using it, and is no longer even useable by my camera OR computer. I will never buy another I'm like the rest of you that gave this card a 1 star rating. I bought the card because I needed more storage space. I have an 8 gig version of this same card that has worked perfectly for a year. a different one because I wanted a more "top of the line" level point and shoot. I work at a school and frequently do video/picture shoots for school related events. We had a rugby event, and I was going to get reimbursed for photographing and take pics of the event. The Lumix and 16 gig card was just right for this. One camera that could video and photograph with great quality. I filmed and took pics of the event with the camera, and there were no problems. When I got home, I plugged the card into my SDHC card reader, and the computer worked fine.

Not quite sure what to say about a little bit of plastic and memory, but it works fine. I got this for my Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray Player so that BD-Live functionality would work. It seems to have done the trick.

Unreliable! Do not buy!
I purchased a Transcend 4GB Class 6 card (TS4GSDHC6) in October, 2008 along with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ8K camera. Recently (July, 2010), after infrequent, light use, the camera started indicating errors on the card, and we lost some pictures. I replaced the card with a different brand, and the errors went away, so the problem is definitely the card, not the camera (which, btw, is a great camera). I'm outside of the Amazon full replacement period, so all I can do is ask Transcend for another card on their lifetime warranty. But I will only use the replacement card when I don't care about losing the data on it, because this card is really not reliable for anything important.

Just Lost my 300 photos.... Don't buy this product~!
Normally, I don't leave feedback, but I am really unsatisfied with this product!
After I came back from my Honeymoon trip last month, I still took some photos with my Transcend 8 GB class 6 SDHC card with new camera Nikon Coolpix P100. P100 automatically creates new folder with every 200 photos I took. Totally, I got 14 folder in my 8GB Transcend SDHC before yesterday.
Yesterday, I try to review the photos I took, and I found the last two folder #13 and #14 are "EMPTY". I lost my photos from June 13 to recent(July 14, 2010)!!!.
While I was looking for a new apt in the last 30 days, I took about 300 photos and NOW THEY ARE GONE. Yes, the folders are empty.
No matter I use camera or card reader, I just can't find any photos in this two folders. Even I use two data recover software try to rescue the missing photos, I can't find them. THEY JUST GONE~!
Lucky me, I only lost two folder (latest folder) of photos. I backed up the first 2.8 GB photos right away. (My honeymoon photos, once a lifetime)
I have three Transcend 8 GB (all class 6) and one Kingston 8 GB class 6 on hand. I think I'll just dump Transcend SDHC after I got more SDHC cards from Kingston or SanDisk.
In the future, I think I won't buy any SDHC card from Transcend any more. Though it's cheaper than Kingston or SanDisk.
For people still take photos with Transcend SDHC card, my suggestion, BACK UP YOUR VALUABLE PHOTOS FREQUENTLY AND DON'T USE UP TO HALF OF THE CAPACITY~! Good luck, people!
I just cannot trust this brand any more~!

Transend memory SDHC
A lot of people have had issues and so have I. It seems to record and transfer fine. Once you "cut" a file from the card it starts getting error and the only way to corret is to format it. I have just made it a habbit to record my video, transfer to the PC then format the card. That seems to have resolved my issues. Other than that issue the card is fast enough for full HD, works for what I need!

I have not recieved this item!!
How do you contact Amazon for something like this? Where is the phone number?
The class 6 8GB card records 720 hd easily, and processes 5 mp and raw photos easily.
I use this card with my Canon Rebel T2i and have not had any issues with it. This card keeps up with my 18mp continuous shooting, and my hd video (1080p at 30fps and 720p at 60fps). I haven't had any read/write errors, and never had to low-level format it or anything. I put it into my camera, and it works.
I also have a Kingston 8gb Class 4 card that does just as well as this card, and Kingston is known for being a little more reliable, not to mention it's $5 cheaper here at amazon. So while there's nothing wrong with this card, the Kingston is cheaper and does just as well.

Does what I want.
After exploring a few options for some new SDHC cards for a few cameras, I opted for the Class 6, 4 GB cards from Transcend. But first ... I wanted to see a comparison of what a Class 6 card would do compared to a standard SD and a Class 2.
I looked it up on the internet and found the Class 6 cards would load and process information faster than the standard but not as fast as the Class X or the higher numbered cards, but was a full 50% less expensive. Transcend (the maker / distributor) was rated in the high middle of reliability and pricing. These were in my budget and since receiving, have been my primary chips for both of my Lumix / Leica cameras.
They did what I wanted in a price range which was very fair and competitive. So far, I really enjoy using these and have no complaints or other observations.

Does what it's supposed to do
I bought this for my canon vixia camcorder. It's a good product for a decent price. I found that it's cheaper to buy two class 6 16gb cards instead of one class 6 32 gb card, but it seems like the price on these cards is always going down, so that may change soon. It can store about an hour and a half of video in the highest quality settings, so I don't feel it's too inconvenient swiching out the 16gb cards rather than having one 32gb.
I bought this card so I could take longer HD videos with my camera and replace the 1GB card I took from my mp3 player.
I needed a Class VI speed SDHC memory card with a fair amount of space. This product has what I needed, and works great. The only thing I don't like about it now is (my fault) that I cannot format the card directly from my XP computer. I accidentally pulled it out, without safely ejecting it first, and now it can only be read by the camera. I can still use it (and still like it), I just wish I had 'ejected' it before removing it. (Originally, my computer read the SDHC card just fine).
My advice, this is a good product, especially with the Frustration Free packaging from Amazon, it will work, as long as you always 'Eject' the card before removing it.
Otherwise I have no complaints, it works fine for me.

Corrupted after a handful of uses
Bought this for my Canon Rebel XSI, had no problems at first but after maybe 15 uses, the card corrupted. I thought it was just the one time, and that it was linked to my low battery, and afterwards I retook the pictures that had been lost, and was able to view them and edit them on the camera. Several hours later, however, when I went to offload the pictures onto my computer, the card said it had to be formatted, and that there was nothing on it. Couldn't view any of the pictures on a PC, Mac, PC laptop, Mac laptop, OR the camera anymore. I strongly recommend finding another card, I know I will be.

Transcend 16 GB Memory Card
I have used this company before for a charger I needed to replace and also another flash memory card for a digital camera. You don't need name brands. The clarity of the pictures are as good as they can get so don't hesitate. Save tons of money by using Transcend.
After several days use and about 200 photos, the card malfunctioned. It froze while I was reviewing some photos I'd taken. I took the card out and reinstalled it, and it started working again, but now when I try to upload photos to my computer I can't. I get the following error message: "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." The problem has to be with this card, because all other SD cards are working fine with my camera. I've had good prior luck with Transcend SD cards, but I'm reluctant now to purchase another.

I've used this SD card for several weeks now and it's worked as advertised. The card has been used primarily in an HD video camera recording in 1080p, so it was important for it to have a fast transfer rate. I haven't had any issues with the card. It's been very reliable!

Lots of storage for a good price
I bought this card to go with the Samsung HZ30W - Digital camera - compact - 12.1 Mpix - optical zoom: 15 x - supported memory: SD, SDHC - black I bought for my wife as a birthday gift. Even with the camera set to 12MP, super fine quality, and every other option set to high we still have the storage capacity for 5,000+ pictures. So it can store enough pictures for even the happiest of trigger fingers.

No response to email
I sent email to BoBoTECHNIC asking about the $4.88 "shipping charge" for the Transcend 8Gb Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card and an offer for a free SDHC Card reader (worth $4.99). During Amazon Checkout I noticed the "shipping charge" for the two items had doubled to $9.76. I sent an email asking if they really intended to do that considering an SDHC card and a reader would not "cost" $9.76 to send.
I GOT NO RESPONSE.
So I guess that's how the pad their profit. AVOID THIS SELLER. EXCESS SHIPPING CHARGES ARE NOT APPROPRIATE. Non-response to E-mails is also not appropriate for a legitimate business.

Great card at a low price
With the purchase of my Canon T2i, I wanted a larger capacity flash memory card and decided to start with Transcend's 16GB product. I have used it extensively in the first month I have owned the camera and am very impressed with the transfer speed and reliability. I have owned other flash memory cards made by Transcend in the past and have never had a problem. I will definitely buy more of their cards in the future!

Lost Photos; No Help from Transcend Technical Support
I have two Transcend 8gb SDHC cards and two 16gb SDHC cards. About three weeks ago, I had one of the 16gb SDHC cards fail on me. The card was bought new from Amazon and inserted and tested before use. It worked flawlessly, recording photos and I was able to download them successfully. I filled one of the 16gb cards while on vacation and started on the second. It worked fine the first day. The second day, I hiked 1.5 miles through a canyon and climbed about 300 feet. I then took about 40 photos when the card failed. My camera, a Canon XSi, flashed a message "card not formatted." I inserted a backup card and continued shooting. But I have never been able to recover the lost files. I have tried four different card recovery programs. Only one of these was able to identify the Canon CR2 files, but could not recover the files in a form that any software program (e.g., iphoto and photoshop) could open. Two programs were unable to find any data at all on the card. The most frustrating part of this experience has been the attitude ("get lost and don't bother us") of the Transcend technical support people in Los Angeles. I emailed them three times over two weeks without a reply. I then called, and finally was advised how to download their own card recovery program. I ran this program and it found Nikon NEF files on the card. Strange! I don't even own a Nikon camera and only used the card for two days with my Canon camera. The putative "NEF" files were unreadable. Upon informing Transcend support of the failure of their software, I was told mechanically to use it again. Endless emails and voicemail messages were not returned. I can only conclude that this is a common problem with Transcend cards, and the company has no solution, and therefore sees no point in wasting time with customers. So, purchase at your own risk. I have had a 25 percent failure rate, and learned that just because a Transcend card performs initially, it can still fail at any time and your photos and/or data will be lost forever.

This is a great memory card, but I can't get my desktop and laptop that were purchased in '06 and '07 to read it. Only the one purchased in '09 can read it. Maybe I just need to update my software, but I haven't had this problem with other SD cards...
I have other brand (class 6)failed on the first time when I used it on HD video recording, and I downgraded its usage for photograph only. This one has successfully recorded both HD video and photograph on 2 events.
So far these have worked great and have no trouble keeping up with the transfer rate from a 1080P camcorder.

Just what you'd expect... value, speed, 8 GB.
I did some research and found this deal on amazon the best on the web for 8GB or less. If you go bigger with the same brand it seems to be just as good of a deal for the price.
This memory card has worked well for me. I don't use a cable when transferring files from my camera to my computer, I just pull the card out and push it into the media card reader. This card has withstood multiple insertions in and out of the camera and the computer, and it has held up well-- that means it's durable.
The class 6 is substantially faster than the regular SD card I was using at first, and I needed at least this type of speed to be able to shoot video or burst mode with my DSLR. It has been plenty of speed for me, but I haven't used anything faster. I imagine if you are shooting extended video clips with your camera or if you are into sports photography where you need like 40 burst shots in a row, than you might want to go faster. Otherwise this one works great. Recommended.

Transend 8 GB memory card
I had a very bad experience with this product! I intend to return this purchase
and want my money back.
The memory card did not let me print the photos at the lab.
Lots of bad news from other customers also who purchased this brand.
I will never purchase this brand again. I lost over 75 photos!
Mine lasted a little longer than most reviewers here - about 9 months and then failed for no apparent reason. My Panasonic Lumix FZ28 reports "memory card error - parameter error". Tried to reformat the card, which appears as 6.9Mb, but that failed too. Apparently these reviews are spot on - works great before it fails, but this is basically a lousy product. I have owned many memory cards and never had a failure before this one. I bought 2 of these - one for my grandson - his is still working, but now I'm concerned it will eventually fail also.

YES....ANOTHER JUNK TRANSCEND CARD!!!!
Though not the same failure as others, but I did twice get file failures but was able to reformat the card. But the card just fell apart. Split open on one side and I again lost pictures. Now, I could say maybe I did something wrong, but I have over a dozen SD cards and have never had this problem. They all stay in one of my camera cases or a storage case. I have some no-name cheap china made cards that are far better quality. You can even feel the casing is better made on others.
With all of the other problems I will just stay away from the transcend brand in the future!
