The compilation is very reminiscent of the variety of music we heard on the show--kinda quirky and upbeat. The theme song and a few other distinct tracks from the show remind me how much I enjoyed watching the series. It's a great soundtrack!

i just adore this cd, i love the songs, but some of my favourites songs of the show are not present on the cd.

Gilmore Girls the Soundtrack simply cannot be put onto one CD. This is a good album, but if your looking to find those hidden gems in every episode you should download them individually. Some of my favorites on this album are "Child Pshycology"-Black Box Recorder, "Oh My Love"-John Lennon, of course the intro song "Where You Lead", "Know Your Onion" The Shins, and "Girl From Mars"-Ash. Overall good stuff, but you may be disappointed.

My 16 year old daughter and I both love it! The music is great if you are a gilmore fan. Many different styles and tastes for us both to enjoy! I would recommend it!

Buy this for the theme song and after that you'll wish it was on iTunes so you get it there and could skip the other nonsense recorded here. The other songs barely even resemble the genre of music featured in the story plots or playing in the background.

The Gilmore Girls may have ended, but this CD can bring you back to Stars Hollow anytime you listen to it. This is a must have for the true Gilmore fan!

Being an avid supporter of the show, I enjoy the sound track, a very diverse selection of songs and artists. If you enjoy the music on the show, you'll love the CD.

The cd is OK.......not great, but then I didn't seem to remember such loud music in the series.....I think I expected more of the troubadour and Carol King.

My daughter and I love The Gilmore Girls and the quirky music that is played. The CD was exactly as we expected. We would buy it again.

If you like the Gilmore Girls shows, then this cd is a must. I bought it for my 14 year old daughter. She was thrilled when she opened the cd on Christmas.

Not exactly what I thought it would be. Don't recognise many songs or tunes from the shows, except the opening one. Avid Gilmore Girl fan so I'm not sure where this music is from. But, it it catching.

You listen to this CD and try to figure out during which episode it was played and what was going on at the time. One of the best songs on it though is the Ramones "What a Wonderful World". They did an awesome cover of the original.

I adored this CD. Being a huge Gilmore Girls fan I asked for this for my birthday as I had no money, and have not regretted it. I can listen to it over and over without getting sick of it, and I never want to skip a track, though I have my preferences (Clear Spot, One Line, I'm The Man Who Murdered Love, Human Behaviour, Where You Lead I Will Follow, I Don't Mind, It's Alright, Baby, God Only Knows). I was pleased to hear that I agreed with Rory on Child Psychology - I liked it because it made me 'gloomy'. I also love Sam Phillips and the 'la-la' music from the show, and the cues make great transitions on this CD, just as they do in between scenes. I'm ashamed to say I hardly knew any of this music before watching Gilmore Girls, but this CD has made me want albums by every artist on here, so that's probably what my next birthday list will consist of.

The CD provides the themes heard on Gilmore Girls and that is interesting. However, I was looking for something more such as music referred to by Lorelai, Rory and Lane. As an example, it might have had "Shadow Dancing". It is not a CD I would RIP to a hard drive for inclusion with an evening of music. I would have a hard time playing the CD more than the three times I have played it.

I loved the CD. The main reason I bought the CD is that my 8 month old daughter loves the music during the episodes. I own the 1st 4 seasons on DVD and we are just about out of shows to watch. She loves the opening song and the closing credits. The only thing I was upset over was that the closing credits were not on the CD. Otherwise, it is a CD that will rock in our household for years to come.

I didn't even know this CD existed until I stumbled upon it on Amazon. Needless to say, being a true GG fan, I ordered a copy, and have been very pleased with it! The CD contains music from the show, and it really is a walk down memory lane, as some of the tracks made me recall the significant scenes from the show, for example, Track No. 7 "Oh My Love" by John Lennon is associated with the scene where Dean first professes his love for Rory. The CD has some beautiful tracks on it, and some are really catchy...I've been playing some of them over and over on my CD player while out driving! Am not sure if GG is returning for Season 7, but this CD is a keeper for me!

The album captures the very essence of Gilmore Girl style. If you are a die hard fan, you will recognize all of the songs on the CD. I absolutely love this CD and it is one of my favorite, because it has a little of every thing on it. I would recommend this CD to anyone who loves the Gilmore Girls, even if they don't watch the show i recommend the CD, it has some great songs on it.

The soundtrack has a lot of songs that remind of Gilmore Girls, but I found it disappointing in other ways. For example, I'd like to be able to purchase an album with ALL of the Sam Phillips musical cues. There are some amazing ones and the music truly seperates Gilmore Girls from other shows. This disc only has 3 or 4 of the cues, and they aren't even my favorites.

Most of the songs are familiar from the show and an avid Gilmore fan like me can place exactly where they occur and which episode. They are missing, however, a song from the episode where Rory goes to the party after having broken up with Dean and Lorelai goes back to Max. It's a really pretty song and I was disappointed when it wasn't on the cd.

I'd say if you're a fan of the show, go ahead and buy it, but it's not a "must have" in my opinion and the makers of the cd should make a new one with more of the musical cues.

I guess this CD is ok, has many songs that were used on the show...mainly from season 1 and season 2, however some other songs could have been included and others shouldnt really be on it...but anyway if you are a Gilmore Fan you should get it, otherwise think twice. Also listen to those song "previews"...they give you a pretty good idea of what the cd is like.

I was disappointed with this purchase. I was looking forward to hearing some of the quirky music from the show,but this is not what I got.

Great CD from my favorite TV show. The songs are a little different. Not really what I was expecting but I would recommend it.

From my point of view its the perfect Gilmore Girls Feel good sound. Whenever you cant get to a TV and want to drift into Stars Hollow - this is the item you are looking for.

Yes, like most people who have ever seen Gilmore Girls I am addicted. I watch it day and night and whenever I am not watching it I am either thinking about it or listening to this CD. It is amazing. First of all the songs basically remind you of the show and plus they catch everything. Even the "Lalalals." If you consider yourselfe a fan then you must consider buying this CD. I promise after you buy, your world will only consist of Gilmore Girls. Oh yeah random question: Who is your favorite Gilmore Girls character? What's your favorite season? I love everyone, but the character that really sticks out is Jess, Lukes nephew. During season three I was so addicted to him Gilmore Girls basically controlled every aspect of my life! Jess was mostly in season three. So rent season three if you don't remeber it. It's awesome just like this CD!

Please... I'd like to know what song plays in the Gilmore Girls... it's nearly every second episode, and generally when its fast paced, or someone's walking. I can't really "describe" the song because it's just a little clip kind of thing. I've checked all the song samples and can't seem to find it! This is a terriffic c.d.. My only complaint is song number 3. It's disturbing. Even my 15 year old won't listen to it! But the rest of the c.d. is as refreshing and smile provoking as the television show!

Love the show Gilmore Girls since the very beginning and love all the great array of music that has always graced the show! I was happy to find out about this eclectic mix of songs from the show and even happier when I received it!! It is great, not only the music which ranges from the Ramones to Bjork and The Shins, but it is funny when you can place the song with the episode, it is fun!! A definite have CD for the Gilmore Girls fan and any music lover!!!

This is a must have for any Gilmore Girl Fan!
It has all the different "la la la's" that they play when something good is happening or when something sad is happening. Plus they have the song that they played when Lorelai and Rory made the snowwoman who had stroke mouth!
Must have, must have, must have!
