Product Specifications

Is it forgivable that the second volume of songs from Adam Sandler's mid-'80s-revival comedy begins with Kajagoogoo's famously limp "Too Shy"? Not really, but the rest of the disc does a good job of recapitulating worthy memories from the era of torn-sweatshirt necks and mulletheads--not just with new-wave novelties but with Madonna and Hall & Oates staples ("Holiday" and "You Make My Dreams," respectively) as bouncy and glossy as anything the also-present Depeche Mode ("Just Can't Get Enough") and Dead or Alive ("You Spin Me Round [Like a Record]") ever put on the radio or MTV. The Cars' "It's All I Can Do" and the J. Geils Band's "Love Stinks" encapsulate the Sandler character's romantic frustrations, while the star's own "Grow Old with Me" actually points toward a serious career as a singer/songwriter for our boy. Eek. --Rickey Wright

[+] 8.0 Upbeat and entertaining
Bought it used just for one track and liked about half of the tracks a lot, so do my kids. Better than volume 1.

[+] 4.0 Vol II Another Disappointment!!
Bought volume II because "Grow Old Together" wasn't on the cd and needed the song for a DJ gig I was performing.

The blasted song lasts about a minute on volume II and the CD itself is a disappointment like Vol I. Great movie but the CD volumes are lacking...

Goofy Reviewed and Labeled DISAPPOINTMENT!!

[+] 8.0 Just what we were looking for
My son and his fiancee wanted their first dance as newly weds to be the song "I Want To Grow Old With You" from the soundtrack of The Wedding Singer but we couldn't find it anywhere.

I was so excited to find that it was availble on The Wedding Singer Volume 2: More Music From The Motion Picture, and that Amazon had it in stock to ship immediately.

The wedding is next weekend and I can't wait to watch their First Dance as husband and wife, while my son sings one of his favorite songs softly (while trying to remember the dance steps), to the love of his life.

Ahh..I think the kids would get a wink and a smile from Robbie and Julia!

[+] 2.0 The Wedding Singer
This CD sucks. There are only three songs I can identify from the movie the rest are a bunch of no hit wonders. I was very disappointed

[+] 8.0 Solid sountrack if you liked the movie
This movie was a favorite in our household and my daughters always enjoyed the karaoke a the end of the DVD, so we searched for the soundtrack. I actually chose this volume over volume 1 for two reasons...it contains the favorite from the movie, "I want to grow old with you" actually sung by Adam Sandler and secondly, because Volume 1 contains the song that Adam Sandler sings about his ex-girlfriend, which contains quite a bit of profanity, so I didn't want to get it for my kids. I would have given it five stars, but we find the introduction by Billy Idol at the start of the last track, "I want to grow old with you," which is dialog from the movie, to be distracting and it gets tiring to have to listen to over and over when you just want to hear the song, which I mentioned was the absolute favorite.

[+] 10.0 As good as volume 1
This album took me back to "the good old Days". If you love 80's music this is a must have! The first volume was great but I was left wondering, "what happened to the rest of the music from the movie?" Volume 2 answered that question. You won't be sorry if you get this CD. Maybe it too will take you back to "the good old days".

[+] 10.0 Finally found it!
Aahh...the uniqueness of 80s music. Been looking for the Flying Lizards "Money" song since then. It's been on several movie sound tracks however it never made it on the 'sound track CD' until now. "Leisure Rules"

[+] 8.0 Re: the song the old lady sings to her husband
I don't actually have the soundtrack, but I love the movie! The song the old lady sings is called "Till there was you" and it's from an old musical, but I don't remember the name of it! I hope that helps! Good luck.
